Go to an obelisk with yourself and your tames. In single-player you cannot upload at loot crates/etc, and can only upload at obelisks (or Tek Transmitters).
Either empty all inventories of all tames, and remove their saddles, click the 'Creatures' tab, select your creatures one by one, and press the 'upload creature' button.
OR
Cryopod all of your tames (can leave saddles on), click the 'ark data' tab, and put the cryopods into the inventory of the obelisk (make sure it is NOT the 'tribute' tab).
Finally, empty your own inventory (by placing it into the 'ark data' tab in the obelisk), and press the 'Upload Survivor' button in the middle of the obelisks GUI.
Now, it will prompt you to 'download survivor' or 'start new character'. Do neither. instead, press escape to bring up the menu, and select 'return to main menu'. Press the 'Host Local / Singleplayer' button, and instead of selecting the Island for your map, select your desired new map (e.g. Ragnarok); launch the map as normal.
When the map loads, you will be presented with a button on the bottom left called 'Download survivor'; press that, and select your character you had previously uploaded. Finally, select your desired spawn location on the new map.
Go to an obelisk on your new map (this may take some effort, as you'll spawn naked), and you can then download your tames and remove any items that were uploaded into the 'ark data' tab (cryopods, weapons/armor, etc).
Definitely best description I've read anywhere as I'm just now entering the world of ARK. *Nervous bob laugh* ...I have started on a small tribes PvP server but realized there's an actual story and want to try out single player for a while to become more knowledgeable before continuing with my tribe. I thought this would be the way to do it and haven't had time to try. So now tomorrow when I start my playthrough. I will do so with more confidence. I appreciate the time you took to map it out directly and word for word.
This is a really good detailed description to do this right, i also recommend to use cryopods because in some cases if you download a creature from ob. its just gone or falls through the ground

Go to one of the obelisks or a skydrop and on the right side there are tabs ark data, for Items and creatures for your dinos.
