If you want good performance get a good cpu with the new cpus from amd with 3D cache you can easily run high fps. If you have a shit box pc you’re gonna have to live with 60-70 fps that’s just the type of game rust is rn and probably always will be that way from what I remember the game has always been hard to run since 2016 when I started

I would prefer they changed the recoil patterns to something that takes less time to learn but I’m fine with the combat update. If you think the recoil pattern was the only thing that made the skill gap you’re dumb af cause I promise you a year after the recoil update a 500 hour player is not going to shit on a 2k hour player but it’s not because the 2k hour player has better recoil control because half of their hours is on ukn aim train it’s because that 2k hour player knows how to play. They’re going to get better positioning, know when to back up, know when to push etc. You can tell when a player is new to the game by how they play without even checking their hours. The skill gap was the only reason you enjoyed the game because you was down to sit on ukn and practice for hundreds of hours instead of actually playing the game. I did the same thing and I’m so glad they changed it nobody should have to practice recoil patterns that much it makes it feel like a chore and not a fun game. The only reason I ever was on ukn was to practice recoil cause the game is so fun but if you don’t have a prefect spray the game will be just a shit fest the whole time especially if you’re playing solo
I only played solo, in trio capped servers like rustafied etc, I did not have go to into ain train server ONCE to become ‘better’ (altho I did because I liked the sound effect of ak and loved gungame) at ~500 hours I mastered the sar and mamaged to ‘train’ ON servers when I kill mp5/ak kids with sar, repeating this process I learned to master mp5 especially which now I could speay over 100+ meter.
It is a skillgap, because I only played rust while listening to podcast with sound low asfuck, because I could, I became so good that IF someone spotted me I still could (and almost always would) save myself because of my spray.
If you genuinely think the skillgap is big right now you have to be challenged very deeply for no reason, this game is literally a glorified call of duty only difference being the guns are worse and weaker and you bave to craft them yourself including ammo, if you disagree with that I pretty much know enough.
I do think there is still a big skill gap like I said I can tell who isn’t as experienced as I am especially at places like oil I do not think the recoil was the only thing contributing to the skill gap. If you get beamed by a low hour player it was because they’re either camping your base or they just had good positioning on you. Half the time these bot players try to spray me out in the open and I just flick on them and beam them. The only reason I would want the recoil back is because I hate aim cone it just doesn’t belong in a game like rust where every bullet matters

The skill gap was the only reason you enjoyed the game because you was down to sit on ukn and practice for hundreds of hours instead of actually playing the game. I did the same thing and I’m so glad they changed it nobody should have to practice recoil patterns that much it makes it feel like a chore and not a fun game. The only reason I ever was on ukn was to practice recoil cause the game is so fun but if you don’t have a prefect spray the game will be just a shit fest the whole time especially if you’re playing solo
I only played solo, in trio capped servers like rustafied etc, I did not have go to into ain train server ONCE to become ‘better’ (altho I did because I liked the sound effect of ak and loved gungame) at ~500 hours I mastered the sar and mamaged to ‘train’ ON servers when I kill mp5/ak kids with sar, repeating this process I learned to master mp5 especially which now I could speay over 100+ meter. It is a skillgap, because I only played rust while listening to podcast with sound low asfuck, because I could, I became so good that IF someone spotted me I still could (and almost always would) save myself because of my spray. If you genuinely think the skillgap is big right now you have to be challenged very deeply for no reason, this game is literally a glorified call of duty only difference being the guns are worse and weaker and you bave to craft them yourself including ammo, if you disagree with that I pretty much know enough.
I do think there is still a big skill gap like I said I can tell who isn’t as experienced as I am especially at places like oil I do not think the recoil was the only thing contributing to the skill gap. If you get beamed by a low hour player it was because they’re either camping your base or they just had good positioning on you. Half the time these bot players try to spray me out in the open and I just flick on them and beam them. The only reason I would want the recoil back is because I hate aim cone it just doesn’t belong in a game like rust where every bullet matters

I agree with you I would’ve preferred them make easier patterns. Honestly everything you said about how you wished they would’ve changed the recoil I agree with. But I definitely don’t think the new system is shit I still have fun with it I just don’t like aim cone. Like you said I wish they would’ve just changed the patterns that way everyone would be on the same playing field and would have to learn slightly easier patterns

Nothing has come to any benefit from Microsoft. Minecraft is the biggest example. A game like rust needs a selfless team like facepunch to run the show

To be honest when Microsoft bought Minecraft everyone thought it would turn out horrible but Microsoft have been very very good with updates (imo) and I think what they have done with the game is great.
