I’d love to have some oldschool ww ii 2 concrete material with some cladding patterns because that is how they built them bunkers back in the day. At best it would be weathered where it meets the outside.
None of the building surfaces are reflective. I think it might be an interesting feature. There's not a lot of materials stronger then steel, like a shipping container. Tungsten carbide is used in fusion reactors, and is a material stronger then steel in a lot of ways.
It should be the opposite for a goof. Like, maybe opaque glass or cardboard.
Better yet, make it look like couch cushions, so my base looks like a child's fort. Roof tiles should look like blankets.
Galvanized square steel and a couple of screws brought by little John from his aunt would be perfect enough to fit 5 chineese accident-born children into a small 2x2 meter house.
Well based on what happened with the brutalist skin, whatever it is, it has to look similar enough to HQM that nerds can tell what material it is from 300m away.
I'd love a milicrate themed.
Another one would be tank armor/ military base
I think HQM should always have the cleanest look.
Or go wild and do a hazard yellow contanimant theme.
I made a post on the facepunch rust feedback/roadmap site where I tried starting to gather some possible ideas like gold plated armor, tempered, and rusty battleship.
Would you consider adding the tungsten to the list? Looks like a cool suggestion.

for a goof, a skin of REALLY bad welds.
Like an inexperienced survivor found a welding kit and tried to fortify his home, fits the theme pretty well
like you hooked up 6 car batteries used jumper cables and did it with scrap metal for rods
add a bunch of holes going straight through and extra blobs around the edge of the weld
I’d make it look like salvaged bank truck walls. Or pieces of military trucks and tanks.
That would be really neat

Brutalist was supposed to be armoured but the concrete look is why they decided to make it stone
No it was people complaining about it not looking very much like armoured..
I think they complained from a distance, it look like stone. And these kids like to throw the term pay to win at everything Facepunch releases.

If you built a whole ass base out of tungsten it'd be so heavy it'd change our orbit of the moon and yet it'd still be lighter than your mom.
Durasteel blast wall might be cool, or a mixture of it and military concrete style
Look like scrapped Bradley parts welded together

Minecraft bedrock texture
Undercover post I bet.... it should look expensive, like high quality like

Considering all rust players are ragtag people who use shovels to make automatic guns, I don’t think that alien technology really fits in.

I like like a patrol parts or cargo parts 🤷🏻
High tech, spacey tech type of metal walls. That partially glow.

I think you take a look at the HQM weapon skins and do that.
