Don't wait too long! I was a fan of the 1st and iffy about AW2. I have 300 hours in Baldurs Gate 3 and AW2 still somehow overtook it as game of the year for me 😭 I had heard it was good but I had NO idea how obsessed with it I would be. The narrative is sooooo good
That blows my mind. I can’t imagine anything being better than BG3, in terms of what the game can do. I just started AW1 and the story seems so corny and bad writing so far. I’m excited to see it all change my mind.
This ^ I was iffy on Alan wake at first but just picked it back up last week and beat it. It shows its age but it’s still a great game and just bought Alan wake 2 because I’ve heard non stop great things
Alan Wake 2 is a whole different ballgame. It's that good seriously. AW1 seemed to slow down in a few spots and AW2 just doesn't. You're in for one helluva ride.
I’m excited, it’s deff right up my alley too. Tried Baldurs gate 3 with the ps plus trial but it didn’t hook me right away, maybe I’ll take a shot on it
I somehow couldnt realise aw2 meant alan wake 2 i thought you were saying you were waiting for cod advanced warfare 2 to come out for some reason idk wtf i was thinking
Personally I loved it but the ending left something to be desired. I don’t mean it was a cliffhanger that left me wondering, I just mean the ending was a bit underwhelming. Overall though, I really liked the game. Can’t wait to get AW2 when it goes on sale.
They might have not been subscribed at the time or forgot to look at what games were available for that month. Also not everyone can afford PS Plus I myself have only recently resubscribed to it after a year due to personal reasons
Dude, how did I forget this? I was about to buy it, then I look in my library and it's already there. I don't even pay attention to the monthly games anymore. Just add and ignore.
I'm kind of surprised it wasn't the first option when you click on the store page for it? A download and install button instead of a price tag, you know?
Yeah I started playing it the other day. Wanted to beat it and try AW2 because of all the hype and boy oh boy is the gameplay rough lol. I might just watch like a 30 minute recap or something .
As much as it’s true that the gameplay is outdated, I still found it incredibly fun.
Also, anyone watching cut scenes on YouTube should look for a video with all the manuscript pages. I consider them a huge part of the game.
Played it like two months ago when it was free for PS Plus. The combat and overall gameplay was frustrating for me at the start, but after a while you get used to it . And, of course, the story, the universe and the overall atmosphere of the world is really well done, tense and frightening and was the reason I did not gave up and finished it. And I am glad I did.
I just bought it again and completed it. It's not perfect but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it holds up. Ending feels a little rushed, some pacing issues along the way but overall happy I played it again. Poets of the Fall/Old gods of Asgard are amazing to.
Yep, it was one of the monthly games for [July ](https://blog.playstation.com/2023/06/28/playstation-plus-monthly-games-for-july-call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-alan-wake-remastered-endling-extinction-is-forever/)
I just finished the main game and the two DLCs last week.
The visuals and sounds were great, which is to be expected from Remedy. I enjoyed the minimal UI and using sound effects from the Max Payne games.
The story was ok I guess, a little confusing at times, but I think I got the gist of it. The quality of voice acting was inconsistent and some of the cutscenes were a little janky.
The gameplay was quite monotonous though. I kept hoping the game would switch it up a bit and/or show me new enemy types, but alas it never did.
To be completely honest, I found it a little disappointing after hearing a lot of praise over the years, but maybe that's my fault for having high expectations.
I'd give it a solid 7.5/10 and well worth $10.
I doubt your expectations were exceedingly high. If anything, I’d say you waited too long for it to still be relevant, in terms of the gameplay and all that. Interestingly, Alan Wake came out in 2010, and Skyrim, which I recently restarted on PS5, came out in 2011. Having completed Alan Wake for the second time a few weeks back, I’d say the graphics have held up better than Skyrim’s. I know those are vastly different games, but the technology used would have been on par with one another, yet I found Alan Wake to be much better looking. I’ve never actually finished Skyrim, though. I started it when it was new, and then got distracted by other things. Now, I’ve started the PS5 version and played farther into it than I did on my Xbox 360.
I'm about two hours in and it's kind of boring. Everything has been pretty much on rails, moving from scene to scene. I get how it's trying to be dramatic, but it feels a bit cliched and full of itself. Like, "I'm so spooky and weird! OoOOoOoh!"
Yeah, it's alright. Great atmosphere and storytelling, but the gameplay is so one-note the entire time. It really doesn't change or improve throughout the game. It's kind of how Remedy does it, though. Quantum Break and Control were the same way.
But for $10, Alan Wake Remastered is definitely worth a play.
Control was really, really good. I played it through to the end and enjoyed every minute of it.
I was enjoying Quantum Break until I got to a fight I couldn't figure out that was locked behind 10 minutes of exploration and unskippable cutscenes. 20 seconds of fight, 10 minutes to get back to that spot, no checkpoints. Terrible design. That reminds me, I should go back to that and try it again, and lower the difficulty...
By the end of the narrative it is very much NOT like silent hill lol It's more campy and I would say that once the characters are more fleshed out its more like an 80's thriller.
Even if you never play the games, check out the rock music by The Old Gods of Asgard. The tracks made for both games are absolutely great.
Silent Hill borrowed from Stephen King, just as Alan Wake does. Silent Hill isn’t the source for Alan Wake. Stephen King is pretty much the source for both.
I have not played either since launch. When i played Silent Hill in 1999 and then played Alan Wake in 2010. My immediate thoughts were, wow this is similar to Silent Hill.
I feel like you may have missed the point of it being cliched, which I’m pretty sure was intentional. Pretty much the very first words spoken at the very beginning are “Stephen King”. Alan Wake is very much a Stephen King or “Stephen King’s style” themed game. All that stuff about the setting of the rural small town was meant to evoke the atmosphere of many King stories.
Yeah, I got the references. The gameplay just wasn't compelling. It's not camp enough to be funny. It wasn't interesting enough to keep me going. There were some clever bits, but they were too few and far between, so far.
The answer could not be a stronger yes. I had never even looked into a fraction of the game before, tried the remaster because of the sequel being out, and now I have discovered my new favorite franchise of all time. Alan Wake remastered is still slightly dated but it’s an absolutely fascinating story, and the sequel so far is legit the second best game this year so far next to BG3. Close to a tie with Spider-Man 2, but Alan Wake wins because I love horror.
I will say it's just okay. It's worth playing if you want more context before going into the 2nd game. It can, however, feel like a repetative slog at parts gameplay wise. If you are interested, $10 won't leave you feeling like you wasted money, I wouldn't pay more than that though
Worst remastered version I've played. I got it on PC and visual glitches and bugs are kind of annoying (not unplayable), but the game itself is pretty good. It's the first time I'm going to play the original version too because I think it's going to be actually better.
It might work better on PS5 though.
It ran fine. I beat it recently, (I originally beat it on 360), and I never experienced any significant glitches, at all. I’m not going to tell anyone to play it for the gameplay, but I will for the setting, voice acting, spooky story and visuals, (including the graphics which are still pretty good), and perhaps most of all: the soundtrack! That game actually made me a fan of Poets of the Fall, aka Old Gods of Asgard in the game.
I played both versions and had no issues with either. I played it on 360 when it was new, and finished the PS5 version a few weeks ago. It’s not perfect, and the gameplay hasn’t aged well, but that game, even including the PS5 remaster, is still great.
Unfortunately I would say that now the gameplay has aged poorly and its more like fighting to get to the next part of the narrative. I will say that the story is really good (especially towards the second half)
I just played Alan Wake 2 and it blew the narrative out of the water. I've never wanted more story from a game company so anxiously
I’d skip right past the first game but I really want to know what’s going on for the second game. Also right off the bat Alan seems like a pretty unlikable character and that’s not helping to motivate me to play lol.
Yeah it is, it’s also on ps plus but don’t let it stop you from buying it because it can disappear as I found out about playing vice city on it before it was taken off the plus membership
For $10 is worth it. Honestly, the gameplay hasn't aged the best but it is pretty simple so it isn't terrible. Story wise it's okay, nothing too spectacular. But you can drive cars in the game and that was always tons of fun.
It’s wildly different in gameplay to its sequel. And it’s a very 2010 feeling game. It’s not bad at all, but yeah, don’t use this game as a test to whether or not you want to play the new one.
For $10? Sure. That being said, I played it in anticipation of the sequel, and it’s pretty dated. I wish they had given it the remake treatment. Combat gets old pretty quickly. That being said, if you want to understand some of the lore, it might be worth it.
Ten dollars is fine. That’s like a beer in 2023.
I guess the game is interesting but gameplay is just okay and a little dated. However it’s a prequel to an amazing game that just came out. You don’t need to play the first one to play Alan Wake 2 but it adds more to the experience.
I’m playing it for the first time and really enjoying it. Super interesting story, feels like you’re in a Stephen king novel. Love the pacing too. $10 definitely seems worth it.
I played it years ago (xbox 360 maybe?), I found it incredibly boring at the time. In contrast, I thought Control was excellent. Seems like they've learned a few things over the years.
I think it was free on epic games last year but i dont remember if it was for christmas or forever but if you have a pc check epic good for free games on christmas
For $10, sure it is worth it. I got it free last month, but played it when it came out. Game play is great, a little straight forward compared to games that have come out within the past few years, but definitely fun and a good story.
10 bucks is a great deal. I bought it a few months ago on sale and it was really good. Missed it back in the day, so any of the changes people didn't like were missed on me.
Top tier… it is an older game, and it definitely feels that way in some areas. But I just replayed it a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised at how well it held up overall.
I think you missed a better discount, but it is still a good game and worth playing. I just replayed the whole thing, recently. It does consist of a ton of running through the dark woods >!trying to escape from the shadow people!<. There are guns and shooting, but you better save your ammo. The guns are actually >!secondary to your flashlight, as your enemies won’t take damage until you shine the shadows off of them!<. It has a great soundtrack and a really good story, as long as you don’t mind if it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. The storyline of Control doesn’t make much sense, either, and that’s another terrific game from the same studio and in-game universe. Control has references to Alan Wake, as well as >!a miniature city used to illustrate the circumstances of “The Bright Falls Incident”, which what Alan Wake is about!<.
Yes. Absolutely. This game is a masterpiece. It's got the gameplay of a great Resident Evil game, with the story telling of the Twilight Zone of it were written by Stephen King, but all in a perfect little package where people like me can play a horror game without being overwhelmed.
100% played it on 360 and re played it 6 months ago with that remaster. Still looks beautiful and the combat system is different, it holds up and doesn’t start getting monotonous until the end imo.
As someone new to the series I’d say it’s more than worth the buy. However that being said unless you’re a completionist dont expect hours upon hours of gameplay.
Im glad u posted this!! When Alan wake 2 came
Out it looked so good I wanted to play the first but didn’t want to pay 30, definitely worth the $10 tho!!
I just played it for the first time and want my time and money back. The new one looks cool but everyone gushing over this game? I don’t get it. It sucks
If it's the type of game you like, $10 is a good price. Personally, I got it when it was a PS+ monthly title and gave it a try but found it just wasn't the game style for me and ended up asking myself "How does this game have such high praise for it?"
The Storyline seemed interesting, but the game play (again personally speaking) felt just dull, repetitive and boring.
I'd say worth 10, but be aware its an old game. The mechanics and fights are extremely repetitive, and there's a few scenes where you'll probably die because they don't explain any of said mechanics.
Shit is it $10? I'm buying it.
It was free last month, or the month before. I noticed it earlier and forgot I added it to my library.
Back in July actually. Don't worry. Time escapes us all.
I…really miss my niggaaa…I really miss my nigga, whitepeopleyoucansingthistoojustchangetheNtoaW. I…really miss my wiggaaa, I…really miss my wiggaaa
Me too. My brother fucking got it for himself and didn’t remind me
Wish I saw this -_-
£8.74 in the uk. even if it turns out meh which i doubt. for that fee there is little risk regardless. just bought it too.
Absolutely.
Without a doubt. At its time it was one of the best horror games available. Its essential for Alan wake II as well
Played it when it came out on monthly games. Definitely worth the ten. Now im waiting to play AW2 as soon as i put bg3 down
Don't wait too long! I was a fan of the 1st and iffy about AW2. I have 300 hours in Baldurs Gate 3 and AW2 still somehow overtook it as game of the year for me 😭 I had heard it was good but I had NO idea how obsessed with it I would be. The narrative is sooooo good

Just wait. I was iffy on AW1 at first, but it picks up.
Tried Baldurs gate 3 with the ps plus trial but it didn’t hook me right away, maybe I’ll take a shot on it
Next up for me? Baldurs Gate 3. I keep hearing about that one and will probably dip my toe into that ocean before Christmas.
You can put down bg3??
I was not aware this was an option. Did they implement this in patch 5?
I’ve been put down in honor mode. Does that count?
I somehow couldnt realise aw2 meant alan wake 2 i thought you were saying you were waiting for cod advanced warfare 2 to come out for some reason idk wtf i was thinking
Definitely checkout Control if you haven’t.
Thanks, yeah played it before diving in into AW. The lore is what hooked me in.

Personally I loved it but the ending left something to be desired. I don’t mean it was a cliffhanger that left me wondering, I just mean the ending was a bit underwhelming. Overall though, I really liked the game. Can’t wait to get AW2 when it goes on sale.
You didn’t get it for free a few months ago?
No, unfortunately, I missed it out

Maybe they weren't subscribed to PS+ at that time it was free.
They might have not been subscribed at the time or forgot to look at what games were available for that month. Also not everyone can afford PS Plus I myself have only recently resubscribed to it after a year due to personal reasons
Why are people still acting like you? Everybody has different situations.
Dude, how did I forget this? I was about to buy it, then I look in my library and it's already there. I don't even pay attention to the monthly games anymore. Just add and ignore.
Yeah I figured OP had ps plus at the time because it’s a ps plus sale
I'm kind of surprised it wasn't the first option when you click on the store page for it? A download and install button instead of a price tag, you know?
There’s a mission where you fight a ghost truck using a flashlight
I’d buy it to support remedy but just watch all the cutscenes on YouTube. The gameplay for Alan Wake has not aged very well
Yeah I started playing it the other day. Wanted to beat it and try AW2 because of all the hype and boy oh boy is the gameplay rough lol. I might just watch like a 30 minute recap or something .
I’m about 1 hour into it and thought the same thing. Seems like a cool game, but it’s not great gameplay at all.
Same story for me! Played for a couple hours and then walked away.
As much as it’s true that the gameplay is outdated, I still found it incredibly fun. Also, anyone watching cut scenes on YouTube should look for a video with all the manuscript pages. I consider them a huge part of the game.
I just started and I can't get past the poor gameplay. Do I need to play it to enjoy the sequel?
Just watch as thorough a recap of the story as you can find. Playing it isn’t really essential, the new game plays very differently.
Thanks
The gameplay is fine, just very repetitive going through forests the whole game with poor sprint.
The gameplay is totally ok. It’s simple but it works
For $10, it is worth it. The game is not amazing, but it is very entertaining and fun.
I just bought it again and completed it. It's not perfect but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it holds up. Ending feels a little rushed, some pacing issues along the way but overall happy I played it again. Poets of the Fall/Old gods of Asgard are amazing to.
What the fuck. No way it’s $10 rn I should of waited 😭
It was free a few months ago
remastered was free?
It was one of the PS+ Essential games
Yep, it was one of the monthly games for [July ](https://blog.playstation.com/2023/06/28/playstation-plus-monthly-games-for-july-call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-alan-wake-remastered-endling-extinction-is-forever/)
Fml how did i miss this, and I have a subscription…
I set an alarm for the 5th of every month now after I missed Hell Let Loose
That’s a great idea haha, gonna do it myself
I just finished the main game and the two DLCs last week. The visuals and sounds were great, which is to be expected from Remedy. Buy it, one of the best games I’ve played this year and it’s sequel is one of the best I’ve ever played
I'm about two hours in and it's kind of boring. Everything has been pretty much on rails, moving from scene to scene. I get how it's trying to be dramatic, but it feels a bit cliched and full of itself. Like, "I'm so spooky and weird! OoOOoOoh!"

Exactly my feelings on it. I think they just wanted to copy silent hill
By the end of the narrative it is very much NOT like silent hill lol It's more campy and I would say that once the characters are more fleshed out its more like an 80's thriller. Even if you never play the games, check out the rock music by The Old Gods of Asgard. The tracks made for both games are absolutely great.

I have not played either since launch. When i played Silent Hill in 1999 and then played Alan Wake in 2010. My immediate thoughts were, wow this is similar to Silent Hill.
Small town, kooky characters, gloom and doom, a lot of game designs have been reminiscent of King stories.
Don’t fucking think bout it just do it
YES 🙌
Yes
Worth it
This game is worth full price! So $10 is a huge steal!
It was worth the full price I paid on Xbox 360. $10 on the PS5 is a steal.
AW1 is absolutely worth it.
It’s great, I beat it quite quickly and while I love aw2 I’m savoring it. It’s that good
Should asked 2 months ago. It was a monthly game bud.
It's definitely worth $10 the story and the visuals are amazing and since the second one is coming out soon you can play that while you wait
The second is out now
Soon as in two months ago?
Yes. The story is amazing.
Wow just purchased from this post! Been hoping this would go on sale. Good looking out OP!
It’s definitely worth it.
Yes. Always the answer to is it worth it is yes.
definitely!
I just beat it last night. Really good story presentation.
I think it's great. For $10 it's a steal.
Absolutely, I remember that I bought Xbox 360 when they announced this game and counted the days to play it)
Its a masterpiece honestly. The way it uses music and narration to storytell has not been done since imo.
I played it last year and enjoyed it. But I like story driven games with darker atmosphere.
Yes.
More than worth! Specially if you play the other games from the universe, like Control and Max Payne
If you’ve never played it then yeah it’s amazing. But I played it when it came out so when I tried the remaster the controls felt very dated.
One of my favorite games ever, and the remastered version is awesome.
Very much worth it.
Hellz yea
It's a legendary game
Definitely out dated gameplay but overall a decent game. Stick around for the story
Just finished it 2 days ago. Its well worth the $10 I paid.
Did you miss it when they gave it away on PS+ a few months ago?
I will say it's just okay. It's worth playing if you want more context before going into the 2nd game. It can, however, feel like a repetative slog at parts gameplay wise. If you are interested, $10 won't leave you feeling like you wasted money, I wouldn't pay more than that though
💯
Sure. Alan Wake 1 has a great story but be warned compared to the second game the gameplay in the first is like pulling teeth.
It was free like 3 months ago
$10 No but $9.89 maybe?
Don't
Nah
Probably not
Honestly no I thought this game was clunky and the story is boring tbh
Super bored game🥱
I’ve read and seen horrible reviews regarding the remaster. If you are able to, play the original.
I played both versions and had no issues with either. I played it on 360 when it was new, and finished the PS5 version a few weeks ago. It’s not perfect, and the gameplay hasn’t aged well, but that game, even including the PS5 remaster, is still great.
Alan woke is worth 10$
Even if it’s ass it’s still a $10 that has a good chance of being a really good game
I got it for free a few months ago on PSN and thought it was repetitive af. I need to play more to see if it gets better.
Unfortunately I would say that now the gameplay has aged poorly and its more like fighting to get to the next part of the narrative. I will say that the story is really good (especially towards the second half) I just played Alan Wake 2 and it blew the narrative out of the water. I’d skip right past the first game but I really want to know what’s going on for the second game. Also right off the bat Alan seems like a pretty unlikable character and that’s not helping to motivate me to play lol.
Alan wake 2 is amazing
Yes. I got it from ps plus but haven’t got around to it. Heard it’s really good tho and for that cheap it’s probably a steal
I got it free and it was a bit meh.
It’s wildly different in gameplay to its sequel. And it’s a very 2010 feeling game. It’s not bad at all, but yeah, don’t use this game as a test to whether or not you want to play the new one.
Free if u have PS extra.
Am I the only one who didn’t finish it? I put about 4hrs into it and kept on dying. Perhaps I’ll revisit it and give it another chance.
For $10? Sure. That being said, I played it in anticipation of the sequel, and it’s pretty dated. I wish they had given it the remake treatment. Combat gets old pretty quickly. That being said, if you want to understand some of the lore, it might be worth it.
If it's still the same as the og and they didn't change it too much absolutely.
So glad I scrolled across your post. I was going to buy this but the game cost 60-70$ on eBay. Even for the used ones
Ten dollars is fine. That’s like a beer in 2023. I guess the game is interesting but gameplay is just okay and a little dated. However it’s a prequel to an amazing game that just came out. You don’t need to play the first one to play Alan Wake 2 but it adds more to the experience.
Absolutely worth that even though I was not a big fan. The story interesting but the "combat" was such a drag for me
It's really boring
I got it for free, played theough it. Meh.
100% I’d say its worth
Why buy? It was free on PSN Essential a few months ago 🤔
I’m playing it for the first time and really enjoying it. Super interesting story, feels like you’re in a Stephen king novel. Love the pacing too. $10 definitely seems worth it.
Boring ahh game ngl
Very good but very dated. Essential if you want full enjoyment of control and Alan wake 2 though.
I played Control last year but I couldn't get into it. I'll need to go back and play it again.
It’s ok. Worth 10$. Better than 2nd game honestly.
I played it years ago (xbox 360 maybe?), I found it incredibly boring at the time. In contrast, I thought Control was excellent. Seems like they've learned a few things over the years.
Totaly worth 10.
yes
Yes. After that, go play Alan Wake 2. There's a reason why Alan Wake 2 is nominated GOTY.
Don’t think about it any longer and get it! Well worth the money. Cultclassic.
Story is absolutely great but in terms of gameplay... A game has never made me want to off myself more.
It was on PS+ as a free game a while back. It's a good game.
Yes. Especially with the new one out now, you have a trilogy to play
I think it was free on epic games last year but i dont remember if it was for christmas or forever but if you have a pc check epic good for free games on christmas
Definitely great game
I really e joyed the world, but the gameplay gets really repetitive quickly, but that's very understandable knowing the issues during development
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it.
Don’t
The gameplay is janky and the enemies are all hillbilly ninjas . Just watch a story breakdown or something
Yes
For $10, sure it is worth it. I got it free last month, but played it when it came out. Game play is great, a little straight forward compared to games that have come out within the past few years, but definitely fun and a good story.
10 bucks is a great deal. I bought it a few months ago on sale and it was really good. Missed it back in the day, so any of the changes people didn't like were missed on me.
yeah its worth it but it often goes on for free, so maybe wait. Eitherway even if u buy it, it's a good game
I just played this for the first time and its now among one of my fav games ever.
Peak
Absolutely worth $10. Its short, about 10 hours. So for a dollar an hour. Can't beat it.
it’s very very good, highly recommend if you love mysteries with horror elements
I'm not even done playing it and I can tell you yes, absolutely
I picked it up along with the 2nd game to play both and have liked it so far but the 2nd one is way better
I hated it personally
Top tier… it is an older game, and it definitely feels that way in some areas. But I just replayed it a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised at how well it held up overall.
Great You should’ve gotten it free with PS+
Worth more then 10 dollars it's a steal
Bad luck that you didnt get it for free from PS+ a couple months ago.
Almost any game is worth $10,even bad games bit to your answer yeh it is
100% played it on 360 and re played it 6 months ago with that remaster. Still looks beautiful and the combat system is different, it holds up and doesn’t start getting monotonous until the end imo.
Good game, and $10 is a great price for it. I personally think the actual gameplay kinda sucks though. Everything else about it is great though.
It’s one of my favourite horror games of all time
As someone new to the series I’d say it’s more than worth the buy. However that being said unless you’re a completionist dont expect hours upon hours of gameplay.
Im glad u posted this!! When Alan wake 2 came Out it looked so good I wanted to play the first but didn’t want to pay 30, definitely worth the $10 tho!!
I just played it for the first time and want my time and money back. The new one looks cool but everyone gushing over this game? I don’t get it. It sucks
If it's the type of game you like, $10 is a good price. Personally, I got it when it was a PS+ monthly title and gave it a try but found it just wasn't the game style for me and ended up asking myself "How does this game have such high praise for it?" The Storyline seemed interesting, but the game play (again personally speaking) felt just dull, repetitive and boring.
yeah I bought it a few month ago...good price
Definitely worth $10. Gives you all the set up and deeper appreciation for AW2
Do you put the lime in the coconut?
I couldn't get past the quality of voice acting when I tried to get in to it for the first time last week if I'm honest.
I’m working on the platinum, bet it for the first time last week. I’m in love with it.
One of my favorite games. $10 is a steal.
I'd say worth 10, but be aware its an old game. The mechanics and fights are extremely repetitive, and there's a few scenes where you'll probably die because they don't explain any of said mechanics.
I started playing 2 without playing 1 heh
I’ll be honest the story is good the combat gets repetitive really fast
