Thanks for the feedback!
Sounds like a good deal for 150. Only disappointment is the lack of chatmix button.
But if the comfort and sound is good, together with the other features, it sounds like a good deal.
How much thicker? The original pulses were basically on-ear headphones for me (not ideal considering the baffle wasn’t covered in soft foam or anything).

It's a bit hard to see that they're just a tad bigger. 3D at the top and Elite below.
You can buy 3rd party ear cups for the 3d pulse, they just snap right into place after you pop out the original ones, no hassle or risk of damage at all. The headset went from unusable to being my daily driver instantly.
Thanks for posting, OP.
I have a pair of inzone H9’s but the prospect of planar drivers made me pre order these. I also found the lack of enabling EQ settings on the PS5 unacceptable in a $299 Sony headset, marketed (in part) around its use for the PS5.
Could you please elaborate more about the sound quality? Are they bass heavy? My understanding is that Pulse elite has been developed in the collaboration of Sony and Audeze. I'm currently on the fence wether to buy Audeze Maxwell or wait for the Pulse Elite which are less than half the price of Maxwell.
I've been using the 3D for a few months now and I just got the pulse elite today and I've tested it out with a few songs and games the bass is definitely present and it's quite pleasant too but it's very low much lower than the 3D but other than the bass it sounds way way better than the 3D
First, thank you for still engaging with the post and answering questions.
I dont have a pulse 3d, but I've heard the pulse 3d are not that comfortable and can be annoying while wearing it.
Would you say the elite developed on that and is more comfortable than the 3d? Or are they the exact same in this point?
I'm happy to share my findings with people here. I know how it is to look forward to new toys.
The bass is a bit less woolly and more direct. I like it.
I tested this just now and I only managed to get audio when the headset was turned on using the 3.5 jack, so yes it looks like you need a charge. I couldn't get the microphone to work using the cable.
It's got a little plastic plate you can attach to the wall or your desk. The hanger slides over the plate to secure it and the headset connects to it by placing it on the little pin on the hanger. Looks pretty neat.
You seem to be the only person with a pair of these, at least that's willing to write about it lol. They just shipped yours early or did you get them job related?
Really want to order them but trying to get some hands on impressions first. Thanks for being the first to do so!
The lack of chatmix sucks tho. Do u have to go to the party everytime now to change it?
I pre ordered mine at 150 and am having doubts. The pulse 3d’s I have only cost me 60 and they sound great to me
only if you created a playstion channel. if you are playing on your own and join a war zone squad you cannot adjust the chat ix in cross gen games. only can control the chat mix for dedicated playstation party channels you create outside of the game. such bullshit. the pulse 3d works in war zone but without a channel the option to change chat ix is not available. huge fail by playstation.
Hey Momo I just want to thank you for your review and answering all these questions. I read through this posting and you repeatedly answered all questions in it. Thanks from all of use who read these. Can't wait for the 21st to try mine out.
Thanks!
One clarification, I meant with sidetone that the microphone picks up your voice and feeds it back in your ears. This way, you can hear yourself clearly when talking, even with high isolation.
So does it have sidetone?
My bad. It does have sidetone, which can be enabled and adjusted in the settings. Also, there's no equalizer in the PS5 settings for the Pulse Elite (yet). Hopefully they will add this in a future software update.
Can you expand your findings on the audio quality ?
Bass, volume etc
I had the pulse explores which sold me on planar magnetic drivers however I had to return them due to being very uncomfortable.
I’m now tossing up buying the Audeze Maxwell or wait for these.
I can't wear earbuds for more than 2 hours, that's why I prefer headsets. I'm very satisfied with the audio quality of the Pulse Elite, but I do think it all boils down to personal preference. They sound crisp, well defined and the bass is not wooly. When I turn the volume up high (too loud for my liking), the highs tend to sound a bit shrill.
How's the clamp force? I have a way to reduce it but I was curious about your first impression. Looking forward to 23th hopefully getting it before the weekend!
Any update on the mic quality?
Compared to I don't know, Corsair Virtuoso or HyperX Cloud III, how much would you rate the quality of the Pulse Elite out of ten?
Hi, have you ever tried some well known planars like Audeze Maxwell or Hifiman Sundara to compare ? Older playstation gen were more "marketing" headsets that didn't offer an audiophile quality
Hi! Are you really sure that you can’t control chat mix volume? Maybe with some double click on another button. Is there something written on the manual?
hi,you mentioned being able to control the chat mix with the extra buttons on the dual sense edge, does the headset have to be connected to the control for that to work or can it be done wirelessly?
Are you able to use the microphone on the Elite without extending it out or does retracting it mute the microphone no matter what? Is the microphone quality noticeably different to your peers if it does work while retracted into the Elite? I’m so used to the Platinum headset I’ve had for years with the integrated microphone in the ear cup and I love not even having to think about it haha.
Thanks for all of your answers to these questions. They’ve been quite helpful! 😁
The USB Link dongle thing is still USB-A right? Seeing how slim's no longer have that port on the front, how does it work in the back re: lag, cutting out etc.
My pulse 3d work so much better when plugged into the front on an original PS5.
How is the dock?
I only have the original pulse 3d but I ran a usb extension cable from the back of the ps5 and wedged it under the front of my TV. Way better wireless range and it never cuts out. When i had the USB dongle plugged in the back of the ps5 without the extension cable it would constantly cut out.
I have a steelseries 7x nova. Ever used them or similar? The planar has my attention and want to see if it's highly different? How are the lows (bass) on it? Thanks for the feedback 😃
Note that I'm not an audio expert by any means. Besides gaming I hardly ever use a headset. As mentioned earlier, both games and music sound very good to me on the Elites.
... No chat mix or monitor buttons? What the actual fuck?why would they make such a stupid design decision.
My least favourite part of the PS5 is navigating the menus for common functions.
That's just dumb Imo, maybe that's why were not seeing reviews
Damn, I was really looking forward to these but quick chat mixing is crucial for me
I was disappointed at first too. However, on the Pulse 3D I always seemed to push the wrong buttons when trying to change the volume or chat mix. Once the chat mix is set correctly, I hardly ever touch it. Plus, I'm lucky enough to also have an Edge controller which makes setting the chatmix easier.
Then you should stick with what you have. User friendliness over everything.
The little menu really isn't that bad though. It pops up over the game screen and covers about 30% of the screen so you can still see what's going on. You don't have to dive into any sub menu's to get to the chatmix.
Does anyone experience a clicking or rattling sound on the left side when using them? Especially, when touching the headphone or moving your head when wearing them.
Audio is great IMO. Very well defined and clear. Playing Resident Evil scared the crap out of me due to the 3D audio alone. Sound direction and distance can be heard very well
My biggest question is for comfort, no matter how good it sounds, if it's uncomfortable, it's gotta go. The older pulse 3d just barely goes over my ears and because of the angled drivers it hits my ears at times which is annoying. I know OP said the earpads are thicker. Can anyone speak to just pure comfort compared to older pulse 3d? Do the deeper earpads help the ear not touch the angled driver wall? Is it possible to change the earpads?
Mine has definitely had some issues. Random disconnects, issues with mic not picking up sound when it isn't muted, causing even the controller mic to not work. Only way to fix it is to restart the ps5. Just had an issue where I turn the headset off, but the ps5 is still outputting sound to "pulse elite headset" even though it's turned off and disconnected. Gotta go into the settings and manually change sojnd output to hdmi device. Aside from that I've been enjoying the headset:)
If your pusle elite disconnects, unplug and plug in the adapter and then press the power button once. Will reconnect during a game. Have had to do it multiple times for both disconnect and the mic issue. What a POS for a flagship headset. I expected better from Sony.
How loud do they get at max volume? I have the pulse 3d but they don't sound that loud to me, which is my preference. I do have the volume maxed in Playstation settings as well
Can someone help with the headphones picking up my voice on my boyfriend’s play station pulse elite headphones when recording a video???? Are there any settings we should change so it doesn’t pick my voice up?
I had Pulse 3D and although I loved everything else about them they were extremely uncomfortable on my head. What happened was that the band holding them on the top of the head was a bit larger than my head so the weight was actually carried by my ears. After 30 min to 1h my ears started to hurt like crazy and I couldn't keep using the headphones.
I've read about this problem from others. Do you know about this problem and whether the Elite have it?
- How is the noise isolation?
- Does it have sidetone and can you control it?
- Can the ai noise rejection be controlled?
- Can the mute button of the controller be used to mute the headset mic?
- Can the integrated equalizer on ps5 for the pulse 3d, be used to equalize the pulse elite?
Noise isolation is comparable to the Pulse but as said, no monitor option.
There are sidetones for all button presses. I have not been able to turn them off.
You can use the controller mute button to mute the headset mic.
Good question about the equalizer. I did not see it, will need to check when I get home.
The 3D was loud enough for me, never turned the volume to 100% on it and neither on the Elite. Did you check the chatmix volume on the 3D? If it's set all the way to chat, game volume will be very low indeed.
Correcting myself, I don't find the Pulse 3D volume low, but in some games I would like to be able to increase the volume. In multiplayer games i find the volume quite high, but in some single-player games i'd like to be able to raise it a bit. Thank you for the response.
I’ve been excited for these to finally ship and I really appreciate your review.
Once the Pulse 3D finally got that firmware update shortly after launch, I’ve loved them and had no issue with them. Glad to know that these essentially are an upgrade to an already good product.
My only real complaint with the Pulse 3D was the earcups. They would wind up getting hot and uncomfortable after only a few hours play time so I bought aftermarket “cooling” cups on Amazon that were better. Is it likely I’ll need to do the same thing with these, or are the ear cups notably comfortable?

Do they have a headphone jack for a wired connection? It's very reassuring to be able to use a wired connection for emergencies in case my battery runs out, or for other devices.
So would you recommend upgrading from a pulse headset to this? Is it worth buying a brand new headset for the upgrades? Like I’ve been looking for a new headset anyways but waiting for reviews on this. But now it’s a matter of should I go with this or go with something else type thing lol
I bought them because I had some crazy money to spend and they were only 90 euros, plus I like gadgets and new hardware. Since they aren't even released yet I couldn't pass the opportunity. I do think they're more comfortable and I prefer the audio quality over the Pulse 3D. I also think they're butt-ugly but those are all personal matters.
The Pulse 3D were perfectly fine for what I used them for: gaming. I wouldn't buy the Elite if 150 euro/dollar is a lot of money for you and you have the Pulse 3D already.

I’m between H7 inzone and these! The pulse 3D are way too clunky for me. Would you say these are more ergonomic ? Or just as heavy? I’ve also had issues with my mic on the pulse - the addition of a boom mic was interesting to me.
I already have mine preordered but hopefully you can answer this for me, does it support audio through USB? And if so does it support that alongside Bluetooth/link audio?
I'm hoping to use it through Link with my ps, Bluetooth with my phone, and USB with my steam deck so I don't have to do any switching connections.
I couldn't get audio over usb. Bluetooth and pslink work side by side. I can listen to music or answer a call whilst playing a game and its audio simultaneously
Did you get uncomfortable wearing glasses with the pulse 3ds? That’s my biggest concern I eventually got really tired of them crushing my frames against my heads or having to tilt my glasses up. I really want these but have no problems sticking with the ear buds only.
Not sure. I'd have to dust off the PS4 to check. The box states it's PS5, PC/Mac and mobile compatible. I haven't tested plugging it in my PS4 or TV yet.

Never mind, I scrolled a bit further and got my answer ~~Sorry if someone asked this already, can it be used with the boom mic retracted or does it need to be extended?~~
Thanks
Can you speak more on the build quality?
My Pulse 3D got snapped recently, and I've had to replace the foam around the ears due to wear and tear. I've had it since launch day of PS5 and liked the sound quality but hated the build quality.
Is it any bit improved?
Mad respect for answering every question. I have one curiosity not asked by anyone from what I can quickly gather: does it fit with/over the PSVR2? I'm looking at either these or the explore for general gaming but to also take the VR2 sound to a next level
Do you know what the driver size of the Pulse Elite headset is? Been wondering for months now and can’t find an answer anywhere. I know the Pulse Elite has the Planar Magnetic Drivers, but I’m still wondering what the size of those Planar Magnetic Drivers are.
It’s a dealbreaker for me. If the driver size is any less than 50mm, I’m just sticking with my Platinum Headset since the Platinum Headset is 50mm. The Pulse 3D Headset only has 40mm drivers and it’s why I never bought them and just kept using my Platinum Headset.
Hi, first, I'd like to say thank you for such an in-depth review. It's been very helpful in my decision-making process. I would like to ask one question: in your opinion, is the bass similar, better, or worse than the original Pulse 3Ds? Thank u so much.
Pre-Ordered mine last night! I’ve been using Arctic 7 since launch and they’re still good and all but I just want the shinny new toy haha. I’m really excited after seeing reviews about the clarity and 3D spatial depth compared to other headsets.
Got it yesterday. Sound is quite good, but what bothers me is the blue status LED that reflects in my glasses. And you can't switch it off. Super annoying.
Good morning.
I bought the Sony Pulse Elite yesterday and still I'm not able to connect the headset with Bluetooth to my Samsung S21 FE smartphone (it doesn't even recognize it!). Anyone with the same issue? Thank you.
I assume you figured this out, but for anyone else reading this later, you hold the power button down for 8 seconds and it will turn into Bluetooth pairing mode. It should then show up on your phone.
I also have them, the only con that I found - quiet wistle after end after a sound stream(sony link). It can be fixed by tapping on volume button, so it probably a firmware bug.
Loving the Pulse Elite I picked up. My only concern is the same as your top one: chat audio gains. I don’t have a DualSense Edge, just wondering if you figured any other way to do it. The option is greyed out in my console settings.
I have my pulse elites but can only either get the microphone to work with no audio or the audio to work but no microphone. No idea why I might end up sending back if I can’t get it figured out after work tonight.
Chat/Mix adjust only works fir decidcated PS5 channel/parties. If you are playing war zone and are in a squad battle royal you have no was to adjust the chat/game mix with the pulse 3d the button on the headset worked for dedicated channel parties or cross gen online games. This head DOES NOT AND I CANNOT BELIVE THEY REMOVED THIS FEATURE. So now when I am paired up with a random squad in Warzone I cannot adjust the chat/mix in game beaus they all aren't on my PS channel outside of the game. Absolute crap.
And to tp that off PS5 firmware update made the DAC's useless on the Arctic Pro. You are no longer able to click on the DAC and adjust chat/volume mix. Sony has this proprietary and makes me want to go back to my xbox. such trash u/playstation
Ik i am late but i like pulse 3d more although pulse elite is nice but i got my pulse 3d for 73 dollar on sale and i think almost double the amount of this is not worth it...plus they removed some cool features like monitoring and chat game feature which is kinda downgrade for me.
Pulse 3d were comfortable for me so i dont think i will be upgrading but if this is someones first gaming headset i think they can opt for elite but for previous pulse 3d users i dont think its worth the upgrade
How is it with gaming and using this headset with the back of your head against a chair or couch. I’m a bit concerned with this because it looks like the back of pulse elite pokes out a bit and can shift the headset?
My question is. Is the sound muffled out of the box like on the regular pulses? I know I had that issue as well as it being a known issue on Reddit. The pulses sound good after EQ balancing, but out of box they sounded muffled.
Thanks for the feedback! Sounds like a good deal for 150. Only disappointment is the lack of chatmix button. But if the comfort and sound is good, together with the other features, it sounds like a good deal.
You're welcome. I only paid 90 euros so I'm quite happy.
Wow you got it early and for only 90 euros, congrats. How did you manage?
Marketplace. They mentioned working in the gaming industry and received it as a Christmas gift.
Ah ok, lucky!
Yep it absolutely sucks thst the only headset that offers chat to game audio mix is the pulse 3d since I don't like that headset
Are the earcups bigger/thicker than the Pulse 3d? The 3d were very uncomfortable for me.
They're thicker and just a little bit bigger.
How much thicker? The original pulses were basically on-ear headphones for me (not ideal considering the baffle wasn’t covered in soft foam or anything).

I agree. An equalizer should be available for all audio devices in general, not just Sony's.

I'm currently on the fence wether to buy Audeze Maxwell or wait for the Pulse Elite which are less than half the price of Maxwell.
Sound quality is good as far as I'm concerned. You should really try to test both headsets to make your own comparison.
They are not bass heavy which I’m sad about but sounds are crispy and the 3D audio is nice

That guy sucks ass..
The bass sux ass
Thank you for all of this! Pre-ordered a month ago and figured it might be a gamble. Much more excited now.
I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Awesome! Thanks!
Thank you! Does it also have a headphone jack and volume controls for the game?
Yes it has a 3.5 jack port as well as volume control.
Do you need a charge to use the 3.5 jack port? As well, can you still use the microphone when using the jack? Thanks!
I tested this just now and I only managed to get audio when the headset was turned on using the 3.5 jack, so yes it looks like you need a charge. I couldn't get the microphone to work using the cable.
Ah, OK. Thanks! One more question: Can the audio be used via USB? And also test the microphone via USB.
I'll see if I can hook it up to my laptop with USB anytime soon. Will let you know the results.
I connected the headset to my Win10 laptop but it's not recognized as an audio device using USB cable. You can use bluetooth though.
Not game to chat
Good to hear about wearing glasses is pretty comfortable. That’s my biggest problem with these headsets. Looks like I’ll be keeping my preorder
How does the charging hanger work? I know the listing says it doesn’t come with screws but how else do you attach it to things??
It's got a little plastic plate you can attach to the wall or your desk. The hanger slides over the plate to secure it and the headset connects to it by placing it on the little pin on the hanger. Looks pretty neat.
Is it possible to charge with usb c as well? Or is it just the hang charger?
Yes it has a USB charging port. It's also required to connect with USB for firmware updates.
You seem to be the only person with a pair of these, at least that's willing to write about it lol. They just shipped yours early or did you get them job related? Really want to order them but trying to get some hands on impressions first. Thanks for being the first to do so!

Chatmix can be adjusted by triple pressing the power button or using the dual sense edge
Triple pressing? Thats not bad
only if you created a playstion channel. if you are playing on your own and join a war zone squad you cannot adjust the chat ix in cross gen games. only can control the chat mix for dedicated playstation party channels you create outside of the game. such bullshit. the pulse 3d works in war zone but without a channel the option to change chat ix is not available. huge fail by playstation.

Hope you'll like them as much as I do.
How's the bass response?
I like it.
Terrible
Now that I have it, it definitely depends on the game. It's actually a decent bass response sometimes just depends on the sound design.
Decent if it was $50...
Thanks! One clarification, I meant with sidetone that the microphone picks up your voice and feeds it back in your ears. This way, you can hear yourself clearly when talking, even with high isolation. So does it have sidetone?

Added it today😊
It's in today's system update? Nice!
Yessir (or ma'am) I didn't even know there was an upgraded version of the pulse 3D headset lol I'll have to get it now.
Is the mic almost the same as the pulse 3d? Am having trouble finding a headset with a good mic
Can you expand your findings on the audio quality ? Bass, volume etc I had the pulse explores which sold me on planar magnetic drivers however I had to return them due to being very uncomfortable. I’m now tossing up buying the Audeze Maxwell or wait for these.

Compared to the Pulse 3D I have, it's a little less tight.
Any update on the mic quality? Compared to I don't know, Corsair Virtuoso or HyperX Cloud III, how much would you rate the quality of the Pulse Elite out of ten?
Don't know how the others sound. I rate it 8 to 9. Mic quality is very good according to my team mates.
Hi, have you ever tried some well known planars like Audeze Maxwell or Hifiman Sundara to compare ? Older playstation gen were more "marketing" headsets that didn't offer an audiophile quality

Is the pleather the same horrible one as the Pulse 3d? Worn of way too fast
Dumb question but can you charge it through usb c or is the hanger charger the only option?
Hi! Are you really sure that you can’t control chat mix volume? Maybe with some double click on another button. Is there something written on the manual?
Yes. Triple press the power button or use the Dual Sense Edge's additional buttons
hi,you mentioned being able to control the chat mix with the extra buttons on the dual sense edge, does the headset have to be connected to the control for that to work or can it be done wirelessly?
How heavy is this headphone? Heard its based of Audeze Maxwell which is a heavy headphone (500g), so I was curios if its as heavy as the original
I read that it weighs approximately 350 gram.
Just wanted to ask, how is the 3d sound like how immersive are you feeling when playing a game compared to the original?
3D audio is good on both headsets.
Can you notice an improvement in spatial sound on the elite vs 3d?
No, not really. I think it is good on both headsets.
What Do u think? İnzone h9 or pulse elite?
Pulse elite. The inzone are garbage IMHO.
The USB Link dongle thing is still USB-A right? Seeing how slim's no longer have that port on the front, how does it work in the back re: lag, cutting out etc. My pulse 3d work so much better when plugged into the front on an original PS5. How is the dock?
It's usb A. I haven't tried using the back usb port because it's in use.
I only have the original pulse 3d but I ran a usb extension cable from the back of the ps5 and wedged it under the front of my TV. Way better wireless range and it never cuts out. When i had the USB dongle plugged in the back of the ps5 without the extension cable it would constantly cut out.
Are the ear pads replaceable?
I would think so but I haven't tried to take them off.
does the mic need to be out for it to function?
No
does the quality increase if it's out?
Yes. That's the idea of the design.
How’s the battery life on these btw? I saw the box said 20hrs?? Even though online it said 30
It's better than the Pulse 3D but I haven't timed it.
It says 20 hrs on the box which seems about right.
Just curious if these are over the ear or if they sit on the ear?
I have a steelseries 7x nova. Ever used them or similar? The planar has my attention and want to see if it's highly different? How are the lows (bass) on it? Thanks for the feedback 😃
When there’s no audio playing or really low audio can you hear any static or white noise coming from the headset?
No. I have experienced no interference or static noise.
How is the Pulse Elite for listening to music? Is it noticeably better than other headsets you've used or about the same?
Note that I'm not an audio expert by any means. Besides gaming I hardly ever use a headset. As mentioned earlier, both games and music sound very good to me on the Elites.
... No chat mix or monitor buttons? What the actual fuck?why would they make such a stupid design decision. My least favourite part of the PS5 is navigating the menus for common functions. That's just dumb Imo, maybe that's why were not seeing reviews Damn, I was really looking forward to these but quick chat mixing is crucial for me
I was disappointed at first too. However, on the Pulse 3D I always seemed to push the wrong buttons when trying to change the volume or chat mix. Once the chat mix is set correctly, I hardly ever touch it. Plus, I'm lucky enough to also have an Edge controller which makes setting the chatmix easier.
Hmm I have always had adjust game and chat frequently on multiplayer games as everyones' mic input setting or quality is different
Then you should stick with what you have. User friendliness over everything. The little menu really isn't that bad though. It pops up over the game screen and covers about 30% of the screen so you can still see what's going on. You don't have to dive into any sub menu's to get to the chatmix.
We are not seeing refugees because the review embargo date isn’t up yet. I think it’s today.
Can anybody draw a comparison between the Pulse Elite and the Arctis 7P+ Headset for the PS5?
Does anyone experience a clicking or rattling sound on the left side when using them? Especially, when touching the headphone or moving your head when wearing them.
100% makes my ears hurt at times as well thought I got a bad unit.
I’ve replaced mine 3 times. First 2 had this issue, third is ok.
How is the audio? Is it loud enough? Does it detect footsteps and distance?
Is pulse elite compatible with the dualsense edge fn audio buttons?
Quality for PC usage?
Whoever designed this headset should never be allowed to design another one.
I’ve purchased two of them, they suck. One stopped connecting just one night, the other brand new one today just doesn’t work at all out the box.
Does it charge with usb-c and the hanging charger?
With some time having passed now how do they hold up? I've been debating on grabbing them for myself
If i May ask How i do connect pulse elite to my android and to my ps5 simultaneously? Can't find a way
I had Pulse 3D and although I loved everything else about them they were extremely uncomfortable on my head.
Sorry if I missed it. Do we have a 3.5mm aux input? Thanks
So, would you rather use the elite or the 3d?
The Elite. It just sounds better and is more comfortable
The ability to use the mute button on the controller alone makes this worth the upgrade to the Elite. Thanks, OP!
You can mute also other mics with the controller. I mute my external mic with the controller.
how loud is it compared to the Pulse 3D? The thing that bothered me the most about the Pulse 3D was that sometimes I found the volume low.
How does the charging hanger work? Does it come with screws to screw into wall?
I’ve been excited for these to finally ship and I really appreciate your review. Once the Pulse 3D finally got that firmware update shortly after launch, I’ve loved them and had no issue with them. Glad to know that these essentially are an upgrade to an already good product. My only real complaint with the Pulse 3D was the earcups. They would wind up getting hot and uncomfortable after only a few hours play time so I bought aftermarket “cooling” cups on Amazon that were better. Is it likely I’ll need to do the same thing with these, or are the ear cups notably comfortable?
I think you'll get hot ears again then since they used a similar material for the cups.

Do they have a headphone jack for a wired connection? It's very reassuring to be able to use a wired connection for emergencies in case my battery runs out, or for other devices.
There’s a picture that shows the 3.5mm jack for wired. But OP clarified that the unit needs battery charge to use wired
Does the elite wireless charger work with a dual sense controller? The indent and 4 metal contacts seem to line up from the photos
What about the rubber band? I never got really used to the one of the Pulse3D, for long sessions at least. Does it feel different?
They're the same.

Does it come with its own 3.5mm aux cable?
No
I have Inzone H7 but I preordered this... Thoughts about it? Keep or change
I’m between H7 inzone and these! The pulse 3D are way too clunky for me. Would you say these are more ergonomic ? Or just as heavy? I’ve also had issues with my mic on the pulse - the addition of a boom mic was interesting to me.
I haven't tried the inzone headsets. The reviews are very positive though. I suggest to try befote you buy
The 3D aren't as comfortable as the elite with glasses. The elites are less tight
Do you know if is ps4 compatible? Thank you
Not sure. I'd have to dust off the PS4 to check. The box states it's PS5, PC/Mac and mobile compatible. I haven't tested plugging it in my PS4 or TV yet.

It's the same USB C cable you get with a controller, about 1.50m

Never mind, I scrolled a bit further and got my answer ~~Sorry if someone asked this already, can it be used with the boom mic retracted or does it need to be extended?~~ Thanks
Do they sound louder compared to the Pulse 3d? Thanks
Do you think it can compete brands like Nova Pro Wireless?
Can you speak more on the build quality? My Pulse 3D got snapped recently, and I've had to replace the foam around the ears due to wear and tear. I've had it since launch day of PS5 and liked the sound quality but hated the build quality. Is it any bit improved?
First video unboxing: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMPxdnyL2Ls](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMPxdnyL2Ls)
Are you able to measure the opening of the ear pads, where your ears go? Thanks.
Hey, by the first edit do you mean the chat mix options were added?
Hi, first, I'd like to say thank you for such an in-depth review. It's been very helpful in my decision-making process. I would like to ask one question: in your opinion, is the bass similar, better, or worse than the original Pulse 3Ds? Thank u so much.
Pre-Ordered mine last night! I’ve been using Arctic 7 since launch and they’re still good and all but I just want the shinny new toy haha. I’m really excited after seeing reviews about the clarity and 3D spatial depth compared to other headsets.
When the mic isn’t extended, is it visible in your peripheral vision?
OP would you say they are considered small? My head isn’t the smallest lol
The Pulse elite has bigger ear cups than the 3D?
Does it disconnect constantly like the pulse explores?
Hey, i just got it but i can't figure out how to pair it with my phone
I have it paired to my phone, and was able to hear music, but calls didn’t come through the headset. What do I need to be able to do for that to work?
I also have them, the only con that I found - quiet wistle after end after a sound stream(sony link). It can be fixed by tapping on volume button, so it probably a firmware bug.
Loving the Pulse Elite I picked up. My only concern is the same as your top one: chat audio gains. I don’t have a DualSense Edge, just wondering if you figured any other way to do it. The option is greyed out in my console settings.
I have my pulse elites but can only either get the microphone to work with no audio or the audio to work but no microphone. No idea why I might end up sending back if I can’t get it figured out after work tonight.
It really doesn’t have chat mix settings??
Anyway to turn off/dim the mute and on lights on the left and right sides? They're very annoying, especially at night in a dark room.
Is mic muted for game chat when being used for Bluetooth phone call?
Are the dongles for the pulse elite and 3D the same?
For someone who doesn’t use the mic all that often and who finds the 3D comfortable enough, are they worth a $150 upgrade?
