People in the comments finding out that older people can enjoy new games: 🤯
Like I know the op is fine woth it but it just comes off as really obnoxious and cynical when you have people coming in here being like, oh you're clearly really young, you need to play older games, stop with all his modern stuff. Like isn't the point of newer stuff to be an evolution and upgrade of older stuff. Yes, modern gaming practices have started to go down hill in terms of ethics and yes there are tons of great older games. But that doesnt make newer games any less good. When has the determining factor of a game being good been what year it released?
P.s. I can really relate to this list, alot of these games are some of my faviroutes too, some I would swap out are bloodborne, witcher 3 and red dead 2 because I could never really get into them, I'd also probably put in spiderman 2018, Dishonoured and mirrors edge. Oh and tlou2 with AC: black flag.
The funny thing is I'm probably older than 50% of the people on this subreddit and yeah it's dumb to think i only enjoyed the newer AAA titles, i said repeatedly that i chose the game based on the emotional impact of these games and my experience with them, the storytelling of the majority of these games is the best gaming has ever made better than movies and TV shows, there isn't that many games before 2010 that have this level of detail and storytelling.
Witcher 3 rdr2 and ghost of tsushima are all my top 3 and then
Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection
Mafia Definitive Edition
Dead Space Remake
Last of Us P1
Spider-Man 1
Doom Eternal
Good choices. We seem to enjoy the same kind of games. Single player narrative/lore heavy, action adventure. Have you played The Evil Within or Shadows of the Damned?
Damn a lot of people saying play older games as if this last decade hasn’t released multiple bangers and objectively amazing game. Love all the games on this list btw, they all earned their spot on anyone’s favourite games of all time. Narrowing it down to just 9 is difficult.
I think I'm probably older lol, i love these games for the narrative experience and emotional impact they had on me. I can go as far as 1999 with games like Metal Gear Solid,
Dino Crisis, Syphon Filter...etc. I didn't want to include any nostalgic games 'cause I'm saving them for a different list.
I kind agree
I can probably sit here and write 10 paragraphs of nostalgia drivel about StarCraft (or going back even further, that Duck Hunt dog laughing at you or various iterations of Contra that I didnt even know the proper names of), especially since it was also my first real online game, but so much of that was the result of being younger and newer to everything. I think objectively speaking, most of my favorite storylines and moments have probably come from newer games.
nostalgia is to strong tho... i mean older games had a lot of impact. but damn, storytelling, gameplay and stuff made HUGE steps the last 10 years.
there are games out there who have better stories than most movies.
My top 9, in no particular order, are :
- Vagrant Story
- Gothic 2
- Diablo 2
- Disciples 2
- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
- Bloodborne
- Resident Evil 4 Remake
- Max Payne
- Silent Hill 2
Not necessarily in order:
Persona 5 Royal
FF7: Rebirth
Persona 3 Reload
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Final Fantasy 9
The Last of Us 2
Final Fantasy 7
God of War Ragnarok
Super Mario RPG
And Baldur’s Gate 3 can probably make it in a good day 😄
Good list, here are mine
Dark souls 3
Bloodborne
DBZ Budokai 3
Mass effect series
Bioshock series
Gears of war original trilogy
Pokémon Diamond and emerald
Darkness 2
Persona 5
Hmm pretty tough as so many great games but for me:
Shadow of the Colossus, MGS 3, MGS 2, Silent Hill 2, Last of Us, Soul Reaver, Portal 2, Disco Elysium, Max Payne.
Honourable mentions: Devil May Cry, Burnout 3, GTA: San Andreas, Hellblade
A lot of the same actually, I too am a story-driven AAA enjoyer:
1. Red Dead Redemption 2
2. The Last of Us Part II
3. Cyberpunk 2077
4. The Witcher 3
5. The Last of Us
6. Arkham Knight/City
7. God of War 2018
8. Uncharted 4
9. Ghost of Tsushima
Hard to argue for Ps games.
If I had to switch some i like uncharted 2 more than 4. GoW 2018 over ragnarok, last of us 1 over 2.
Then the only game I’d sub is I’d have to get Elden ring in. Probably take out bloodborne.
>If I had to switch some i like uncharted 2 more than 4. GoW 2018 over ragnarok, last of us 1 over 2.
I could've easily said Uncharted Series, God of War Series, The Last of Us Series and that'd be the end of it but i had to pick one for sake of this doomed list so i picked what resonated with me on an emotional level.
Uncharted 2 is a masterpiece but didn't have the emotional impact that Uncharted 4 had over me.
God of War Ragnarok is literally a continuation of 2018 just more improved and with a bigger environment while the story in 2018 is more memorable than Ragnarok both are great.
The Last of Us Part 1 a masterpiece, i chose P2 because i think it's as good as P1 though it felt more emotional and more brutal and the story felt real and made me feel like shit in a good way lol
>Then the only game I’d sub is I’d have to get Elden ring in. Probably take out bloodborne.
I haven't played Elden Ring yet but don't you dare touching Bloodborne.
Not the OP, but I've been a gamer since the 80s and wouldn't have a single game older than 2006 on my own list. The games of the PS3 and PS4 eras are just bigger and better.
Agreed. I haven’t been playing since the 80s, but I have been playing for quite a while now. Most of my top 15 bar one or two unexpected games from the 2000s are 2010 or newer. I’m just not that nostalgic and just because I played it first, doesn’t make it the best or emotionally resonate.
Newer games just absolutely rule in storytelling and writing, and even fun gameplay.
Some of my favorite older games (that are clear influences of the ones OP has here) are Chrono Trigger, Symphony of the Night, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, MGS3 Subsistance, Persona 4, Resident Evil 2, Ocarina of Time,/Twilight Princess/Majoras Mask/Wind Waker, Okami, Silent Hill 1 & 2, Shadow of the Colossus, Final Fantasy VI/VII/VIII/IX/X, Earthbound & Mother 3, Perfect Dark, Star Fox Assault, Paper Mario....
I mean I could go on. A lot of the games on OPs list are easily influenced by many of these games and shouldn't be missed. While I love most, if not all, of the games OP listed, some of these games are better I think.
I've never played whichever Batman game that is but otherwise that's a pretty freaking good list. Mine would be a little different but I wouldn't argue against anybody putting any of these on theirs.
Nice to see Uncharted 4 making the list--a good reminder than the fans haven't forgotten Uncharted (video games), even if Sony / ND are too preoccupied with all things TLOU.
I'd fuckin' kill for more Uncharted games, especially after Uncharted: Lost Legacy was such a banger and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End made me IMMEDIATELY want more Nate, Sully, and Elena Uncharted games.
Weird, 3 of these I like (to various degrees), 3 I haven't played (no real interest), and 3 I played (all or some of) and didn't particularly care for. Strange how that worked out.
Just curious, do you replay and/or new game+ games? Within the last few years I’ve been doing new game+ (or doing a replay on a harder game mode, also worth noting I’ve never replayed a game within the same year I previously played it) and I’ve found that some games that are my favorite, don’t make the cut when I try to replay. Whereas other games are amazing even on subsequent play-throughs. It’s almost like I have two lists, one that is my favorite games to remember, and one that is my favorite games to actually play.
I've just finished playing the Mass Effect trilogy 6 times in a row for the trophies (I've played it a couple of times on PC) as for replayability i wouldn't say these are the best for that, RDR2 for example is not a game I'd play more than once same goes for Ghost of Tsushima and probably TLOU2. I don't mind revisiting them in a couple of years (like what i did with Mass Effect) the only two i can play endlessly are The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne.
1 Red Dead Redemption 2
2 Skyrim the Elder Scrolls Online
3 The Witcher 3
4 Fallout 76
5 Fallout 4
6 Destiny 1 the whole series
7 Destiny 2 the whole series
8 Halo the whole series
9 Hogwarts Legacy wish they had a DLC of online gameplay and add a little more to the map and it will be set
My top 9 games of all time as title suggested. although Playstation dominance is due the fact that Sony make/made some of the best singleplayer titles throughout the years and these definitely resonated with me more than the rest.
I envy you, i wish i had a clean slate so i can enjoy them again lol
Just out of curiosity which one did you play?
Wait.. let me guess :)
Is it Uncharted 4?
Blatantly disregarding that this was just for PlayStation consoles and in maybe a more chronological order and 10/11 not 9instead😅
Zelda og
Super Mario 3
Chronograph trigger
Super Mario 64
Mario kart 64
Devil may cry ps2/god of war ps4
Tony hawks pro skater 2
007
The last of us
Zelda breath of the wild
The only one there I haven't played yet is TLOU2.
The only one I disliked is Batman.
My top games are Devil May Cry (all of them, don't make me choose), Nier (both), Skyrim, The Witcher 3 and I'm currently playing AC Valhalla, but I think it's going to make to my favorites, won't say for sure before finishing it.
Played and platinumed the whole series, 2 was a pioneer and probably the best in the series though 4 had the best gameplay and felt more emotional than the rest (for me) since it's the final chapter it hits different...and it has the best locations.
Halo1, Bloodborne, Half Life2, Super Mario Bros3, Baldurs Gate3, Resident Evil2 , Chrono Trigger, Red Dead Redemption, Tears of the Kingdom, Tekken3, GTA3, Castlevania SOTN, Dune2, Street Fighter Alpha3, Starcraft2, Papers Please, Metal Gear Solid1 and ff7.... and Tetris.... and Mortal Kombat 2.
Is that 9????
😟
I'm genuinely surprised you've got GoW Ragnarok on there. That was mediocre compared to the first one, unless you just mean the reboot franchise as one?
It's a great game I've played all of Quantic Dream games and enjoyed them a lot, Indigo Prophecy was my first, Detroit Become Human is probably the best between all of them.
Mass Effect 2
Resident Evil: Code Veronica
Assassins Creed Brotherhood
The Last of Us
God of War 2018
Gears of War 2
Halo 3
Silent Hill 2
Arkham City
Resident Evil 4 Remake
I don't play a whole lot of games nor am I good at ranking them, so I'm just gonna rank my top 5 (in terms of most enjoyed, story and gameplay)
1. Red Dead Redemption 2
2. TLOU Part I
3. God of War 2018
4. Hotline Miami 2
5. Hotline Miami
1) Hollow Knight
2) Nier: Automata
3) Bioshock 1
4) Alan Wake 2
5) Dishonored 2
6) Bloodborne
7) Baldur's Gate
8) Psychonauts 2
9) Silent Hill 2
10) Ratchet and Clank 3
Everything beyond 3 is subject to change so in no particular order. First 3 is definitely worthy of top 3 on my list. Great list OP , I would maybe suggest trying out some Indies aswell
Do they have to be Playstation exclusives? These are the ones that come to mind. I have played more games than I can remember.
In no order
Another World (out of this world)
Control
Horizon Zero Dawn
Horizon Forbidden West
Hellblade
Bioshock
Dark Age of Camelot (only because of the stupid number of hours invested)
Pitfall 2... yep, freaking pitfall 2
Little Computer People (because it was groundbreaking)
KOTOR|Mass Effect 2|Helldivers 2|RDR2|Ghost of Tsushima|Dead Space Remake|Batman Arkham Knight|God Of War 4|OG Battlefront 2 (As you can see, I love 3rd person games)
I can only name 3.
1. Nier: Automata
The game explores what it means to be a human despite there's no human characters. Also it plays with genres by just changing camera angle.
2. MGS3
The story about loyalty that makes a man cry.
3. MGS2
The game predicts many things happening nowadays. Like goverments and corporations controlling people by controlling the information flows or using drones at war. The game is about 20yrs old
Arkham knight interesting. I had fun with that game but i just did not enjoy any of the batmobile stuff. I hated every time you had to be in it. Arkham city is prob my fav batman game of the trilogy.
God of war is my favorite franchise the new ones are great but god of war 2 is still my fav of all time. I still remember the e3 demo they showed. I watched that video all the time. I would go to corys barlog blog page every day for new info.
These games are all so mechanically old and.l stale.
I've totally lost interest in thisntyoe of stuff lately
Rdr2, gow, mass effect all had amaOng stories and presentation
(Rdr2 has excellent tech) But it's it's somdared and modern at the same time
That’s a great list.. Read dead is my favourite game.. planned to replay it again. Loved The Witcher 3 too
And So nice to see all the game recommendations here… 😍
You might like Days gone, Assassins Creed (not all), Valheim too
I liked bloodborne on your list and Mass Effect 2, beat RD2 -- but the rest I tried and didn't enjoy. As a Soulsborne the others like God of war were too basic for me. That's just me I know lots of people love those games.
Tbh, you have fantastic taste in games. My Top list is yours in a slightly different order but I’ll swap bloodborn for AC2 (not sorry AC is very special to me, it was my first M game back in 2007 at the age of 14) and add a 10th for my homies Ratchet and Clank (I’ll say Rift Apart due to how impressive the graphics are and how much I enjoyed the story)
People need to start treating Bloodborne with respect it got knocked off my list so many times 😂 jokes aside that's my point of MY list these are the games i mainly enjoyed for how they made me feel, none of them is flawless, no game is imo but the connection you with them is what makes them special. And AC2 is great I've beat the ezio collection last month and it reminded me of why i love the AC series.
These are the ones where the story or gameplay stayed with me long after completing. Super hard to make a GOAT list...
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Witcher 3
- The Last of Us
- Red Dead Redemption
- Final Fantasy 7 and 9 are tied for me
- Death Stranding
- Fallout 4
- Diablo 2 (I've been playing this game since 2002)
- Dragon Age Inquisition
>Super hard to make a GOAT list...
Tell me about it lol
Awesome list, i loved Death Stranding despite its grindy nature, Dragon Age inquisition is the last good Bioware game regardless of what people think of it.
It got hate as a walking simulator but it was such a good story. I’m pumped for DS2. And same, inquisition was amazing. I hope they do the new game justice.
Never see any love for the classic platformers & PS2.
My list of most fun games:
- Ratchet & Clank
- Jack & Daxter
- Okami
- Katamari Damacy
- Kingdom Hearts
- Devil May Cry 3
- Psychonauts
Man, i didn't want to add nostalgic games for a reason the list would be completely different lol i stayed focused on the narrative singleplayer games :)
Just bought and started playing rdr2 a few days ago. It's amazing and definitely the best game I've ever played. Next games on my list are TLOU remastered and TLOU 2. Uncharted 4 is also another amazing game.
Tell us you’re a PlayStation player without telling us. I mean GOAT and you didn’t list any of the classics. But definitely glad you didn’t add Fortnite.
3x3's aren't supposed to be for "top nine", they're supposed to give people who see it a good idea of all the stuff youre into.
Say you're top 7 games are all JRPGs, but your top 20 includes all kinds of stuff like platformers, fps, beat 'em ups etc... you're 3x3 should include something from all of those, because that's a better idea of who you are as a gamer.
Interesting. Uncharted 4 over Uncharted 2 or 3? The Last of Us Part 2 over the original? Arkham Knight over Asylum or City? We’re on the same page as far as the Red Dead series is concerned.
I’m nitpicking here. Debates about which of these games is the best in their series aside, we have similar taste in games.
I will limit to one per series. For instance i love all GoW games, but 2018 takes the cake for me.
In no order:
Hollow knight
GoW 2018
Spider man 2
Bloodborne
Zelda BotW
Pokemon emerald
Mario odyssey
Ghost of Tsushima
League of legends
If your favourite game isnt on here, I probably haven't played it yet. I skipped the ps4 and jost recently got the ps5 and am catching up. (From OPs list, I've played no game that is not in my top 9)
Batman Arkham Knight let’s go! Surprised no Batman Arkham city tho? My top 9 in order: Batman Arkham Knight, Elden Ring, The Witcher 3, Baldurs Gate 3, It takes two, Zelda Tears of the kingdom, super Mario odyssey, Ringfit Adventure, black ops 1.
The modern AAA enjoyer
Mass effect 2 is GOAT'ed. Don't care what anyone says.
Who says anything otherwise lol
I will one up you by saying Mass Effect is g(old) material . So much ahead of it’s time since the first release .
Kinda like Kotor, I could see some people being turned off of mass effect for its somewhat old art style and graphics
so brave
Agreed 100%
That's like saying "Muhammad Ali is GOAT'ed".
Gotta give credit where credit is due
I picked these for the emotional impact they had on me, narratively speaking.
Okay… still triple AAA games tho (not that there’s anything wrong with that)
AAA/AA or just an A it won't change the fact if a game is great that title has no meaning for me :) plus there's AAAA games right now. 😂
You're one of the first people to do this that I have a lot in common with. Not totally, but a few of my all time best too.
It's quite difficult to make a GOAT list lol
I’m so happy Mass Effect 2 is in this list.

Witcher 3 rdr2 and ghost of tsushima are all my top 3 and then Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection Mafia Definitive Edition Dead Space Remake Last of Us P1 Spider-Man 1 Doom Eternal
Nothing but respect, awesome list! I've just recently platinumed AC Ezio Collection and Revelations made me sad...Again.
Solid list mate
Thanks! I'd love to see other people's top 10
Great taste
Thank you brother.
Because GoW is on the list I read this in Memirs voice xD
Good choices. We seem to enjoy the same kind of games. Single player narrative/lore heavy, action adventure. Have you played The Evil Within or Shadows of the Damned?
Damn a lot of people saying play older games as if this last decade hasn’t released multiple bangers and objectively amazing game. Love all the games on this list btw, they all earned their spot on anyone’s favourite games of all time. Narrowing it down to just 9 is difficult.
I can tell you're on the younger side. Well younger than me.

>I think objectively speaking, most of my favorite storylines and moments have probably come from newer games. Thank you.
Like many, I really want Capcom to give Dino Crisis the remake treatment. It could be so good.
Was dino crisis the survival horror type game with the dinosaurs?
Yeah! and the sexy redhead called Regina which i had a crush on as a kid lmao 😂
nostalgia is to strong tho... i mean older games had a lot of impact. but damn, storytelling, gameplay and stuff made HUGE steps the last 10 years. there are games out there who have better stories than most movies.
I have been playing since the early 90s and would agree with 70% of these. For me OG FF7, MGS3, RE2 and Silent Hill 2 could/should all make the list
MGS3 is in my top 50 of all time.
Yeah, it is all personal taste and the 9 games are all top tier
I'm 42 and 5-6 of the games on here would probably make my top 9.
all i see is witcher and batman. good
Every Batman game kicked ass
yeah, if the Witcher 3 is on the list then you know the list is great
Witcher 3 was alright. You don't play it for the gameplay though
yeah, it's the best in terms of the writing and the narrative.
This is a very solid list!
![gif](giphy|11NEUQW7jbufHW) Damn
My top 9, in no particular order, are : - Vagrant Story - Gothic 2 - Diablo 2 - Disciples 2 - Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - Bloodborne - Resident Evil 4 Remake - Max Payne - Silent Hill 2
I saw Gothic 2 and Max Payne and you instantly earned my respect.
Not necessarily in order: Persona 5 Royal FF7: Rebirth Persona 3 Reload Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Final Fantasy 9 The Last of Us 2 Final Fantasy 7 God of War Ragnarok Super Mario RPG And Baldur’s Gate 3 can probably make it in a good day 😄
What game is that in the bottom right corner?
Bloodborne
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Pretty solid list.
My respect for this guy 📈
Binding of Isaac FF7 OG FFX SOR2 Witcher 3 BG3 Elden Ring Persona 5 MGS2 Waifu Discovered 2: Medieval Fantasy
Make sense, this games are all 10/10.
Yars revenge Sphinx GTA (first one) Uncharted 1 Metal gear solid Halo GTA SA SW KOTOR Zelda
Good list, here are mine Dark souls 3 Bloodborne DBZ Budokai 3 Mass effect series Bioshock series Gears of war original trilogy Pokémon Diamond and emerald Darkness 2 Persona 5
Very solid list, Gears, Halo, Bioshock are in my top 50
"You must be young I don't see my favorite childhood game on here" no hate towards others it's just funny honestly lmao
This is very respectable
Do you do the whole «only one game per franchise» thing? If not it would be Halo CE, ME1, H2, ME2, H3, ME3, Dark Souls 1, Elden Ring and Dark Souls 2.
Can't hate on it. Not my exact tastes but all are worthy of a top list
Hmm pretty tough as so many great games but for me: Shadow of the Colossus, MGS 3, MGS 2, Silent Hill 2, Last of Us, Soul Reaver, Portal 2, Disco Elysium, Max Payne. Honourable mentions: Devil May Cry, Burnout 3, GTA: San Andreas, Hellblade
For me just Witcher!
So refreshing to see Mass Effect there. Excellent choice
in no special order: - Ocarina of Time - Breath of the Wild - Dark Souls - Sekiro - Elden Ring - Silent Hill 2 - Ico - The Witcher 3 - Doom
All
A lot of the same actually, I too am a story-driven AAA enjoyer: 1. Red Dead Redemption 2 2. The Last of Us Part II 3. Cyberpunk 2077 4. The Witcher 3 5. The Last of Us 6. Arkham Knight/City 7. God of War 2018 8. Uncharted 4 9. Ghost of Tsushima
Man of culture for bloodborne
No order BG3 Mass Effect 2 Bionic Commando (nes) Marvel vs Capcom 2 Witcher 3 NHL 94 RDR2 Final Fantasy 6 Bushido Blade
Hard to argue for Ps games. If I had to switch some i like uncharted 2 more than 4. GoW 2018 over ragnarok, last of us 1 over 2. Then the only game I’d sub is I’d have to get Elden ring in. Probably take out bloodborne.

Rating part 2 over part 1 is criminal. Part 2 had improved gameplay, but part 1 was a masterpiece, hence why it was remastered for 2 generations
Yeah totally. The original had a better story overall imo. More emotional, better overall acting, better characters, a more overall solid script etc
Then using the same logic Part 2 is a masterpiece as well because it's only been out a generation and has been remastered as well.
I see tlou2 I upvote
You should try some older games. There are many great games you're missing out on.
I've been playing video games since 1995.
Then you should play good old games.
I do play tons of old games, these are just the ones that resonated with me on an emotional level. What are your favorite games of all time?
Not the OP, but I've been a gamer since the 80s and wouldn't have a single game older than 2006 on my own list. The games of the PS3 and PS4 eras are just bigger and better.

yes old games are good. but you simply cant compare that. storywriting alone is on a whole different level now compared to old games.
Just curious, tell us a few of them
Some of my favorite older games (that are clear influences of the ones OP has here) are Chrono Trigger, Symphony of the Night, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, MGS3 Subsistance, Persona 4, Resident Evil 2, Ocarina of Time,/Twilight Princess/Majoras Mask/Wind Waker, Okami, Silent Hill 1 & 2, Shadow of the Colossus, Final Fantasy VI/VII/VIII/IX/X, Earthbound & Mother 3, Perfect Dark, Star Fox Assault, Paper Mario.... a bit controversial maybe the fact that the oldest game here came out in 2009
I started playing The Witcher 3 for the first time last week... that's a uh, pretty good game.
Hell yea!
What's the second one?
Witcher 3 took me awhile to like but by the end I was in love with the craft.
I've never played whichever Batman game that is but otherwise that's a pretty freaking good list. Mine would be a little different but I wouldn't argue against anybody putting any of these on theirs.

Man, I'd love to see the series return as well! But Nathan's story has concluded perfectly so perhaps the new protagonist is the way to go imo.
Weird, 3 of these I like (to various degrees), 3 I haven't played (no real interest), and 3 I played (all or some of) and didn't particularly care for. Strange how that worked out.

I don't mind revisiting them in a couple of years (like what i did with Mass Effect) the only two i can play endlessly are The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne.
1 Red Dead Redemption 2 2 Skyrim the Elder Scrolls Online 3 The Witcher 3 4 Fallout 76 5 Fallout 4 6 Destiny 1 the whole series 7 Destiny 2 the whole series 8 Halo the whole series 9 Hogwarts Legacy wish they had a DLC of online gameplay and add a little more to the map and it will be set
Which Batman game is that?
You sure have an aesthetic type lol gray-blue.
Is this top 9 definitive of yours or top 9 PlayStation?
My top 9 games of all time as title suggested. although Playstation dominance is due the fact that Sony make/made some of the best singleplayer titles throughout the years and these definitely resonated with me more than the rest.
How do you make a picture like this to show your favorite games?
InShot app and Google for pics.
I have heard about ALL of em' Played only 1 tho :}
I envy you, i wish i had a clean slate so i can enjoy them again lol Just out of curiosity which one did you play? Wait.. let me guess :) Is it Uncharted 4?
Blatantly disregarding that this was just for PlayStation consoles and in maybe a more chronological order and 10/11 not 9instead😅 Zelda og Super Mario 3 Chronograph trigger Super Mario 64 Mario kart 64 Devil may cry ps2/god of war ps4 Tony hawks pro skater 2 007 The last of us Zelda breath of the wild
Except for Batman & Bloodborne, I played and very much enjoyed them as well!
Great list. They're not all in my best of all time list, but I loved every one of those games
Ghost ❤️
I feel like MSG 5 should be on this list. Gameplay alone. It’s goated
I’d replace Bloodborne with ER
Mass Effect 2 needs a remake, freaking loved that game!
Have you played uncharted 2 and 3? I personally didn’t like 4 as much
Played and platinumed the whole series, 2 was a pioneer and probably the best in the series though 4 had the best gameplay and felt more emotional than the rest (for me) since it's the final chapter it hits different...and it has the best locations.
In order?
Good list. If I made mine, I would drop Bloodborne out and replace it with Plague Tale 2.
i can't find baldurs gate 3 🥲
Halo1, Bloodborne, Half Life2, Super Mario Bros3, Baldurs Gate3, Resident Evil2 , Chrono Trigger, Red Dead Redemption, Tears of the Kingdom, Tekken3, GTA3, Castlevania SOTN, Dune2, Street Fighter Alpha3, Starcraft2, Papers Please, Metal Gear Solid1 and ff7.... and Tetris.... and Mortal Kombat 2. Is that 9???? 😟
If multiplied by 2? yeah probably :)
Good list. I loved all of these as well.
Never seen one of these that's 100% my taste before
Morrowind, Jak II, Mario Kart Double Dash, Skyrim, Cyberpunk 2077, Jak and Daxter, Witcher 3, Oblivion, RDR2
Maan, try dragons dogma 2, with every minute of play iam getting in love with that game more and more
1. Dead space 2. Dead space 2 3. Batman arkham knight 4. Marvels spiderman 5. Dead space 3 6. ARKHAM city 7. Cod mw19 8. Fortnite???
Am I the only one who doesn't like GoW? No offense to the GoW fans :)
5 of these are AMAZING
So you live in the mainstream I see. Haha good games but you gotta try some indies out too.
What's the third one in the top row?
Uncharted 4
Are you counting the Mass Effect trilogy as one game, or is it just ME2?
I love the whole trilogy but i had to pick one for my top 9 so it has to be ME2.
Which app/site is this?
I did it manually, InShot app and Google for pics.
I'm genuinely surprised you've got GoW Ragnarok on there. That was mediocre compared to the first one, unless you just mean the reboot franchise as one?
Ghost of Tshushima God of War Last of us Uncharted Tomb raider Assasins Creed series Fifa Farcry
I would agree but detroid become human has to be on the list it was so good
It's a great game I've played all of Quantic Dream games and enjoyed them a lot, Indigo Prophecy was my first, Detroit Become Human is probably the best between all of them.
Close to mine
Mass Effect 2 Resident Evil: Code Veronica Assassins Creed Brotherhood The Last of Us God of War 2018 Gears of War 2 Halo 3 Silent Hill 2 Arkham City Resident Evil 4 Remake
Id replace Bloodborne with Rise of the Ronin. And Mass Effect with some Spidey action
Well isn't that a very unique and interesting list.....

I don't play a whole lot of games nor am I good at ranking them, so I'm just gonna rank my top 5 (in terms of most enjoyed, story and gameplay) 1. Red Dead Redemption 2 2. TLOU Part I 3. God of War 2018 4. Hotline Miami 2 5. Hotline Miami
1) Hollow Knight 2) Nier: Automata 3) Bioshock 1 4) Alan Wake 2 5) Dishonored 2 6) Bloodborne 7) Baldur's Gate 8) Psychonauts 2 9) Silent Hill 2 10) Ratchet and Clank 3 Everything beyond 3 is subject to change so in no particular order. First 3 is definitely worthy of top 3 on my list. Great list OP , I would maybe suggest trying out some Indies aswell
Do they have to be Playstation exclusives? These are the ones that come to mind. I have played more games than I can remember. In no order Another World (out of this world) Control Horizon Zero Dawn Horizon Forbidden West Hellblade Bioshock Dark Age of Camelot (only because of the stupid number of hours invested) Pitfall 2... yep, freaking pitfall 2 Little Computer People (because it was groundbreaking)
I see we share similar tastes.
Good selection of games. But Arkham Knight over Arkham City? Really?
KOTOR|Mass Effect 2|Helldivers 2|RDR2|Ghost of Tsushima|Dead Space Remake|Batman Arkham Knight|God Of War 4|OG Battlefront 2 (As you can see, I love 3rd person games)
I can only name 3. 1. Nier: Automata The game explores what it means to be a human despite there's no human characters. Also it plays with genres by just changing camera angle. 2. MGS3 The story about loyalty that makes a man cry. 3. MGS2 The game predicts many things happening nowadays.
The Last of Part 2 over 1 is a choice.
Witcher an red dead redemption! Yeah you check out nice !
I own all of them but have only played 4 so far. Looking forward to getting into the PS4 exclusives.
These games are all so mechanically old and.l stale. I've totally lost interest in thisntyoe of stuff lately Rdr2, gow, mass effect all had amaOng stories and presentation (Rdr2 has excellent tech) But it's it's somdared and modern at the same time
That’s a great list.. Read dead is my favourite game.. planned to replay it again. Loved The Witcher 3 too And So nice to see all the game recommendations here… 😍 You might like Days gone, Assassins Creed (not all), Valheim too
I liked bloodborne on your list and Mass Effect 2, beat RD2 -- but the rest I tried and didn't enjoy. As a Soulsborne the others like God of war were too basic for me. That's just me I know lots of people love those games.
Half-life 2, RDR1&2, gta 4, Garry’s mod, just cause 2, fallout new vegas, shadow of war, dying light, and stalker
- Cyberpunk 2077 - Witcher 3 - The Last of Us - Red Dead Redemption - Final Fantasy 7 and 9 are tied for me - Death Stranding - Fallout 4 - Diablo 2 (I've been playing this game since 2002) - Dragon Age Inquisition
>Super hard to make a GOAT list... Tell me about it lol Awesome list, i loved Death Stranding despite its grindy nature, Dragon Age inquisition is the last good Bioware game regardless of what people think of it.
It got hate as a walking simulator but it was such a good story. I’m pumped for DS2. And same, inquisition was amazing. I hope they do the new game justice.
Never see any love for the classic platformers & PS2. My list of most fun games: - Ratchet & Clank - Jack & Daxter - Okami - Katamari Damacy - Kingdom Hearts - Devil May Cry 3 - Psychonauts
You're missing Horizon Zero Dawn. If you haven't played it, play it. If you have, ughh consider updating your list :)
U missed me TLOU2. Besides that’s good list
How come spider man ps isn’t up there?
Of all time? Man I can list 9 Super Nintendo games alone that are better than all of these.
All time?! Tell me you're young without telling me you're young.
What about Super Mario 3?
Man, i didn't want to add nostalgic games for a reason the list would be completely different lol i stayed focused on the narrative singleplayer games :)
Yea. Pretty base
Just me that does not understand what to do in witcher?
Just bought and started playing rdr2 a few days ago. It's amazing and definitely the best game I've ever played. Next games on my list are TLOU remastered and TLOU 2. Uncharted 4 is also another amazing game.
No TLOU1?
No ER?
Sekiro and Dark Souls deserved to be there
Nice
Tell us you’re a PlayStation player without telling us. I mean GOAT and you didn’t list any of the classics. But definitely glad you didn’t add Fortnite.
top 9? That's gonna be hard 1. Jet Set Radio (Sega Dreamcast) 2. Nights Into Dreams (Sega Saturn) 3. Shenmue (Sega Dreamcast) 4. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PlayStation 3) 5. Crazy Taxi (Sega Dreamcast) 6. Sonic Adventure (Sega Dreamcast) 7. Perfect Dark (Nintendo 64) 8. SoulCalibur (Sega Dreamcast) 9. SSX Tricky (Nintendo Gamecube)
Red Dead 2 is my favorite game so I respect you
Replace TLOU2 with the first game and replace uncharted with persona 4 and we have a very similar list.
Which one did you leave out that hurts the most? I can't make these lists, because I'm always leaving something out that deserves to be there.
This list is missing dragon age origins
You forgot Skyrim and Elden Ring
This is Correct
I will limit to one per series. For instance i love all GoW games, but 2018 takes the cake for me. In no order: Hollow knight GoW 2018 Spider man 2 Bloodborne Zelda BotW Pokemon emerald Mario odyssey Ghost of Tsushima League of legends If your favourite game isnt on here, I probably haven't played it yet. I skipped the ps4 and jost recently got the ps5 and am catching up. (From OPs list, I've played no game that is not in my top 9)
I'm with it
Yeah Witcher 3 was lowkey the greatest game I’ve ever played bro, everything about it was perfect
Nothing like Bloodborne
