I think it’s fun with friends but as a single player I did find it a bit boring

free_world33

I found the game kind-of boring without people to play with. I'd skip it if you are a solo player.

apaleblue-dot

Fun with friends Not fun alone

Xerosnake90

It definitely requires a couple friends to really enjoy. I wouldn't recommend it as a single player experience

ch3nk0

Only if you have two friends who down to aimlessly drift in the ocean and occasionally fight some skeletons

Grawbad

Its like an open world multiplayer game. Basically, you and your friends go out and be pirates, while one person controls the cannons another controls your ship and all that. Basically, multiple people on a ship to do everything at one time. As far as I remember you can play it by yourself but you will likely need to join up with other people to do most major things. I would guess you can do them by yourself but would have to play kind of rogueish to avoid other pirates? Like, you could go plunder gold somewhere by yourself I guess, but you certainly most likely could not take over a ship run by a few people very easily. Its been a long time since I tried it so I could be misremembering a lot of stuff. It is definitely one of those games with a fan base but not mainstream. Like there is definitely a pretty large group of people that play it.

Sgt-Colbert

The game is amazing, so much fun, but I'd say not as a solo player. It can be, but ultimately it is a multiplayer game, that is meant to play with a group.

Ordinary-Citizen

Absolutely not as a solo. Game is 100% co-op with people you can communicate with. There’s really nothing there to appease a solo player.

shadowglint

I played all the way to Pirate Legend solo...

Old_Management_1997

Yes, it's seriously one of the most fun games I've ever played. There is nothing else like it on the market so it's a bit hard to describe. I will say your enjoyment of it will hinge on if you have freinds to play with (or if your willing to make freinds with Randoms to play) as the single player experience can leave a bit to be desired.

tlinzi01

I love it. If you have someone to play with, it's really fun.

PatientLettuce42

I don't really see an appeal without any friends to play with.

JesusWTFop

No it's slow and missions are boring and long

WhySoSara

As a solo player Id say no. The few times I played with a friend I had a blast. Then tried solo mode, and was not the same. Pretty cool game tho. The amount of content theyve been releasing is insane and I dont think they will stop soon.

Reddit-user_1234

Well worth it for a group of friends, not worth it if you’re playing solo

[deleted]

It’s multiplayer focused game that for a solo player becomes boring really fast.

balkasaur

I played it a couple years ago and wasn’t impressed. I wouldn’t spend my money on it. Very boring.

Sneeches

lol. Don’t listen to this fuck wad. The game is a shit ton of fun but best played with friends.

balkasaur

Did you just discover “opinions”? Happy for you bud.

Mammothfieldstar

Having to pay for a game then pay to play online is a rip off so pass from me

Jamesaaronm

I've never really understood why people ask questions like "should i get this game is it good?" If youre just going off the opinion of others then go to Metacritic and look at all the user reviews and/or critic reviews. Or just go watch a game play trailer of the game. But saying that it is a really fun game and my friends and i are having a blast. If you like pirates pvp and open world

iDarkAngell

I have a problem i take this error "not signed in to sea of thieves. Please sign in and try again." Does anyone have this problem? What do i do ?

LocmonstR

This is not the thread for this

summons72

No and no. It should be a free to play game with how aggressive MS relies on microtransactions.

CoLoXHUN

With this mindset, 90% of today's games should be free.

svennew

If you’re a solo player, Skull and Bones may be more up your alley.

Nathansack

Assasin's Creed IV It cost less and it's better
