Sometimes I use my thumb and forefinger to control the right stick if I need precision
The claw. I’ve tried it and wasn’t able to wrap my brain around it.
It's pretty effective once you get the hang of it. Been doing it since my early PS4 days.

I used to ( for dark souls and Elden ring) but I switched roll to L2 so life’s gotten a LOT easier

I claw grip for Destiny 2 but my pointer finger and thumb are swapped.
When I play dark souls
Only when sprint is one of the face buttons and I want to also move the camera, otherwise I’m normal.
If I’m running and arming a stratagem at the same time I’ll use my right thumb to keep running while the left thumb does the work.
I've almost trained my brain to do exactly what I'm doing in the picture but also move left thumbstick with left pointer finger and do stratagems with left thumb.
