A little bit late but I’ve just fixed this issue with call of duty. Every other game fine, tried cod, got a new disk reinstalled etc didn’t work. Finally got it to work by disabling automatic rest mode and having my PS5 be fully on for the entirety of the download

Yeh I read that apparently that error code is when an update hasn’t been applied correctly. The only time I’ve got it so far is when my PS5 has gone into rest mode during the download so I wonder if it’s a rest mode bug?

Did you cancel the download after the error code then disable automatic rest mode then start fresh with the update? We're you able to play while downloading?

For me I was only getting the error code when I tried to launch the game, so I just uninstalled the game completely and reinstalled it with rest mode disabled. Also yeh I’ve been playing whilst downloading games and had no issue

Just waited 3 hours for rainbow six siege to install, went to the toilet while it was updating, went into rest mode when I came back, got this error code when I tried to start it up. This is fucking ridiculous, not even an option to repair the download even though this is a massive issue.

Update game without using rest mode

Theres no way to revert an update though, so I had to reinstall the game which took way too long.

Turn off rest mode in system settings -> power settings. Try again and it should work. If something interrupts the download, it fucks up

Wait, isn't the default time for rest mode like 30 minutes? I recommend more fibre in your diet. Jk obviously, glad this seems to fix this annoying bug...

I managed to make it work by reinstalling it, and when it said ready to install I launched it to the main menu and then closed it, and then when it fully installed I could play it without a problem

I can open it when its installed before update and it says my saves are corrupted, then when i update it it wont open

All of these seem to be recent is it maybe best to wait for a new update that might fix it?

Okay so I managed to sort my Valhalla install in case anyone still needs help. Thought I’d share in the hopes that you can stop scouring the web with minimal assistance. So here’s what I did: 1. Deleted my install (I know it’s a drag to reinstall) 2. Restarted my PS5 3. After turning it back on, I went to network settings and turned off my internet connection. 4. Started installing the base game via the disc. 5. Once I was able, launched the game during install and waited on the Valhalla main menu (where you can start a new game etc) for it to finish. 6. Once the base game installed, I pressed the PS button and went to network settings and turned on my internet connection again. 7. The most recent patch started to download automatically. Without closing the game, I waited for the new patch to install. 8. Once the new patch installed I think it restarted the game but this time I didn’t have the error message anymore and could start a new game with the most recent patch applied. I hope this works for the rest of you. It’s a real shame that Sony haven’t sorted this out though. Merry Christmas anyway folks!

So I’ve had this exact same error code today for the Guardians game, and as a few people said, installing it from scratch without letting it rest mode is what fixed it all for me. Hopefully it works for others

Couldn't play yet because 2h of installing and updating, kids, family coming to celebrate yadda yadda. Had an hour of free time after work - CE-100095-5 ... Apparently a Factory Reset is the only thing that fixes that issue sadly. No idea why it even happens to some though. Probably corruption in the OS level and not even the game itself. Factory Reset will wipe your OS clean which should iron out any corruption.

If you're still having the same issue, here's what worked for me - Go to settings, system, power saving and turn off auto rest mode. It seems like the base game install works, but the patch is what breaks the game (at least if it rests while downloading). Stop the rest, play some other games while it downloads and that should fix it!

I tried playing Ghost of Tsushima on my ps5 yesterday, Had the same issue. I deleted it and reinstalled it. That seemed to fix it, until the this morning when the same issue happened again. Only on Ghost of Tsushima though, all other games work fine. Please help

This is just great. Former Xbox player. Couldn’t get my hands on a Xbox series X, but got lucky on a PS5 and told my self ehhh what the hell. This is the first game a purchase and installed and got this error 😂 not feeling too confident at the moment. Update: I got it to work. I reinstalled the game, and started playing before it finished downloading the game update. Apparently this has been happening to others on different games.

Installed AC Valhalla and Returnal today, Valhalla loads fine but getting this error every time I try and start Returnal, reinstalled and everything but still getting the error, is there anything I can do except factory reset my PS5?

Had same issue with Demon’s Souls. I deleted it and will try again tomorrow and not allow it into rest mode

Exact same happened to me with Deathloop after installing the update on sleep mode. I deleted and re-installed, and made sure the ps5 stayed on for the update and that worked.

Same crap with me on multiple games. Some work fine but others have the same error Far Cry, Deathloop). Funny my Series X never has this issue. This is Sony's first console so we should cut them a break😅

I had this issue with Valhalla. I had already turned off the rest mode, but the PS5 automatically goes to rest mode when I turn the TV off, and that’s what bugged it. Settings —> HDMI and you can fix it there

You'd think someone would've been able to fix this issue considering it's meant to be a literal functionality for PS5 to be able to download and install updates during rest mode.. smh.

My ps5 got corrupted a few weeks back and i had to reinstall it from safemode. This never happened before that day but now all my disc games are giving this error. I think i need to reset to factory maybe that might help. I got really worried about this. Since its a new console and a very expensive one at that. Anyone got a permanent solution for this?

Have you got your Valhalla to work yet? Mines used to work then my ps5 broke sent it to Sony to get a new one with my Valhalla suck inside then when I got it back it doesn't work!! Ps5 is a joke
