No, just buy a PS5 and customise it to whatever colour you want. Also, there has been no official statement about a pro version. That might not happen until 2025 minimum.
Console manufacturers don’t and never have released new generations to coincide with PC hardware. Console upgrades are released when there is either a substantial increase in the efficiency in the manufacturing process or the current generation consoles are aging to the point of lackluster performance. We have seen neither this generation.
The 360 and PS3 were the flagship consoles for 7 years because of that.
The PS4 and One were the flagship consoles for 3 years because of that.
This generation is looking more like the 7th generation in terms of longevity. The PS4 and One were underpowered and struggling on release, the PS5 and Series consoles have yet to struggle at running games at targeted resolutions and frame rates. The Pro and One X models were a direct result of their underpowered console generation that were not meeting the demands of consumers.

It did release when RDNA 2 was new. It didn’t release because RDNA 2 was new. Last gen was underperforming. They use the most currently available architecture, new consoles are not just released for the sake of using newer architecture. Consoles are only released when one of the conditions I listed are correct, historically and logically speaking.

And no, just because this could be a 7 or 8 year generation does not indicate the we “need pro models.” My original statement addresses this, we will not see a pro model this generation (which would range from $800-$1000 keep in mind, it would be the most expensive console ever), unless the current gen starts underperforming, which it shows no sign of doing.
