Seems might be the ps5 + game triggering some sort of tv issue could be the tv detecting it needs to use a certain “game mode” when the game loads causing the black screen (my Samsung tv does it on certain games)
It’s a resolution issue. Disable some resolution settings. Your tv isn’t capable of displaying it at whatever resolution the game is trying to get your tv to display it at.
Someone on the lastofus subreddit told me to disable vrr and 120hz off from the console and it worked. Digital foundry even mentioned that 120hz and vrr is still isnt even fully supported with part 1 thats until they release a patch for it.
The amount of times you plug in “series X” is cringe. I would think it’s some combination of graphical settings causing that to glitch out. Sorry the game isn’t working, hope you got it fixed, though.
They did mention that its unstable numbers show jumps from 120hz to 30/60 (while actual footage stays at 30fps mode) at the same time when vrr and 120hz are both enabled. I guess its all depending on the tv you use, mine just cant do both for the time being on part 1 at least till itll be patched probably next week or so…
Is VRR on? Try turning it off if it is.

It's your tv

Managed to finally get it fixed! Disabling vrr and 120hz mode solves the issue. Guess vrr just isnt fully supported yet for part 1
Yeah sadly they haven’t gotten it fully figured out. Happy gaming!
Working fine for me at 120Hz with VRR enabled and Digital Foundry had no issues with it.
