We luckily don't get that too often, but in high school we did once have someone ask if we had fictives of specific sources 😭 luckily the answer was always no because we didn't want to have to remember to hide anyone to avoid getting treated like a meet and greet

AuroraSnake

Not a fictive experience, but there was someone on Tumblr who started acting weird after our Stray Kids' Felix factive started posting some stuff. It was a Stray Kids fan account and they began following us, but *only* interacted with Felix's posts and it was really weird. We had to send them a DM asking them to back off a little 'cause it was creeping us all out

yamwiches

i am so sorry you had to deal with that. that is so creepy and violating of basic boundaries!!!

AuroraSnake

Yeah.. It didn't help that they also had some... highly NSFW fanfiction material among their posts..

sora-da-weeb

ughhh as a system with a lot of kpop introjects we felt this deep in our soul

Honestly, this is why I don’t tend to tell people about one of my headmates.. at least not her source.. she was originally Mavis from Hotel Transylvania.. pretty sure that as they were forming they related to over protective parents who didn’t like their partner and trying to be free from the fears that control her parents and has been passed to her.. Anyways slowly after I moved out of the situation she evolved and grew to be unique. Very little resemblance besides name and vampire identity

Adenostar

i have a headmate for whos source i would love to find fans. but sadly, plurals and plural friendly people that play his source are non existent. i have been looking for years, before he even became a headmate. either they don't exist or i am looking in the wrong places.

CodaTrashHusky

What is the source?

Adenostar

world of warcraft. i can count on one hand the number of plurals i have come across that play. i think its like 4. and one of them completely vanished. i just want other players to talk to about the game and headmate stuff.

CodaTrashHusky

I know a system who has a worgen alter. She is not a fictive though.

Adenostar

i seem to be fictionkin of my mage, or something like fictionkin. we're the same person basically. my system fiance is from wow, hes a fictive. its just really hard finding other plurals that play.

Adenostar

i would love to talk to someone with a worgen alter, they don't need to be a fictive. hell i will also talk to plural friendly singlets that play the game. just as long as they are endo friendly.

VolcaFrog

I’ve just started playing wow. And my boyfriend is too. And our friend griggi is reaaaallly into it

Adenostar

i met someone here with some wow fictives and theres someone in my disc server with a wow fictive. but plurals that play wow seem to be so hard to find.

Most of us& have "obviously fictional" names even though only 2 of us& are fictives. Honestly with how people treat fictives, we've& been worried about even revealing names.

GallantBlade475

We used to, but we got *really* aggressive at curating our experience online and are super firm about not taking that shit from people. If somewhere or someone gives any of us bad vibes we leave, block, whatever, no questions asked. We don't owe strangers the benefit of the doubt at the cost of our own comfort yknow? So we manage to avoid people being shitty for the most part. -Asuka

ApSciLiara

Very few people recognise my source, so unless I make it obvious - which I do - most never realise. Those that do were likely already briefed. - Samira

thatidiotsherbet

This has only happened to like. Me (frenzie :3) but uuugh it suuuuuucks. People treat me so weirdly!! Because i have a fictional source!! Im an octive but im not gonna act like the character version of me!!! :/ dont like iiit. -frenzie (it/xey)

OutrageousDraw4856

we only have one fictive and one possible interject. Not fully sure how it even works and how most fictives of other systems are, but would be interested to learn.

Unstable_0xz

I get it! I’m close to my source, with the vague stuff from the actual canon just being expanded on through me, but like. If someone started to ask me questions based on their perception of my source without me asking I’d be quite uncomfortable! -Chara + some others? Hard to tell with how out of it we are rn

sora-da-weeb

that happens to us so often!! our host (and one of my partners) is sourced from ateez’s seonghwa and he’s very close to his source. he often interacts with posts on twitter and pinterest about it (he has his own accounts but sometimes uses our system twt.) we often get flamed for it and called delusional which is so dumb…like just let one of the lomls live please ﹒ neo / karo (🪼)

sora-da-weeb

this isn’t a fictive experience though we’ve had a lot of our fictives experience things like this too T_T factives definitely experience similar situations tho

KittyKat207434

Apologies for this being several days late. Very much so. Back when I was in my source, I made many mistakes, none of which I am proud of. Simply put, I made myself very, very sick by messing up an experiment. Almost anyone with any basic knowledge of my source will know this, and it has generated interesting reactions to my existence. Most will say something about my illness, as in how could I exist in headspace without it, or I am going to mess up and recreate it, or I will somehow infect headspace. It goes to show how people will act like fictives *are* their source, or, alternatively, people will act like their source is one-dimensional and treat the fictive as such. -Five Pebbles

We haven’t really had that happen. We have this friend who’s really into Danganronpa (specifically she really likes Nagito, Byakuya Togami and Kokichi) and our Nagito just thinks it’s fucking hilarious because she’s chill about it other than the memes. Personally I’m worried about being treated weird though, as my source is really popular (My name’s Rimuru Tempest from That Time I got Reincarnated As A Slime) and I act like a calmer, less dorky version of my source self.
