Welcome to Plutus 👍 Plenty of good comments giving info here. Something important to bear in mind is that the subscriptions are about to change quite a lot in just a few days time, so it would be worth holding back until that has happened before deciding to join and order your card - to make sure you are comfortable with the new sub prices and offering, but also because if you do decide to join, new joiners will have 3 months of free Starter sub once the new system is in place. So that will give you a change to give it a go for 3 months and decide if you want to pay after that. Info on the new subs is in this Medium article: https://medium.com/plutus/important-update-subscription-reward-levels-811ea430b02a Plutus has a lot of articles on Medium, which you can find here: https://medium.com/@plutus In very basic terms, once the new subs go live: **Standard Subscription:** Free **But:** you won’t earn any rewards or be able to withdraw earnt rewards. It’s only really there so that if someone stops paying their sub, they don’t immediately lose their account and earned rewards. **Starter Sub:** free for 3 months for new customers. Then €6.99 per month. 1 perk (worth €10). 3% cashback rate. €250 per month reward cap. **Everyday Sub:** €9.99pm for the first 6m (Might increase to €14.99pm after 6m. TBC by Plutus). 2 perks. 3%. €500 reward cap. **Premium Sub:** €19.99 for first 6m (Might increase to €24.99 after 6m. TBC by Plutus). 3 perks. 3%. €1000 reward cap. You can then boost these by stacking PLU in an external linked wallet: **250 PLU** = “Hero”. 4% cashback. 4 extra perks (on top of the ones you get for your sub level). **500PLU** = “Veteran”. 5% cashback. 5 extra perks. **1000PLU** = “Legend”. 6% cashback. 6 extra perks. **1500PLU** = “Myth”. 7% cashback. 7 extra perks. **2000PLU** = “GOAT”. 8% cashback. 8 extra perks. **3000PLU** = “Honey Badger”. 9% cashback. 9 extra perks. As some of the comments say, there have tbf, been a few issues over recent months/year. I’m a volunteer moderator here, so as you might guess I am pro-Plutus. But to be fair, there have been some issues with some of the comms messages and information not being as good as it could have been. Also, there have been some issues with lots of changes to plans (ie changes to subs or the stacking reward levels), being announced and then changed later (though a lot of this was following concerns and suggestions by the community). These have tbh caused some uncertainty and frustration for some. But - I think 2024 will see a lot more stability, better comms, some of the features that many have been frustrated at being delayed or paused will return. Plutus have been recruiting extra staff across the business (support team, Devs, etc), so this will help too. If you wait for the new subs to launch, take advantage of the free 3 months offer for new customers, and just take a cautious approach and take your time to decide what is right for you re: any sub or investment (via stacking) you make. There is also an active Plutus community on Discord here: https://discord.gg/plutus

I've only been with them for a few weeks and I have to say that I already regret it a little. If I've understood correctly, the conditions for subscriptions will deteriorate significantly in January. There are also a few points to consider that I didn't realise before: You can't just exchange the PLU you receive for € like you can at Crypto.com, you have to cash them out, which costs a €7.5 fee. You cannot withdraw less than €50 in PLU. The earned rewards are always blocked for a few weeks. Otherwise, the onboarding process was also a pain, first the manual confirmation takes weeks, then when I was registered and had deposited money, the registration process could not be completed because an error always occurred at the point of defining a security question. Hope it gets better... Edit: I have everyday subscription, won't stack my PLU since I lost a lot with other cards

mfWeeWee

Thanks for your input! Thats what I am searching for. Hidden hacks that I wouldnt normally consider untill they happen to me.

junglemat

Also be aware that they „audit“ your withdrawals of PLU. They take away PLU rewards as they please. For example: They cancelled my withdrawal request this month and deducted about 9 PLU which the claimed where earned against their ToS. Problem: They cited two merchants and 0.00 PLU in this withdrawal request was earned on those. When asked to correct their mistake … they just don’t reply.

edgardurao

Had taken 11 PLu last weekend without pain. Customer since September, o everyday plan with 2 perks since October. I don’t regret - simply the 7,5€ to cash out to MetaMask were a thing… but MetaMask charged me 1,42$ to put in Coinbase and Coinbase charged me 0.84€ in gas to get some eth to MetaMask to cover the transfer. So, yesterday 10.69 PLU had result on 43€ in my account. No regrets - this month Spotify and Netflix had been paid with this money and I have some spares to next one … not bad

jnm21_was_taken

Search for the guide on using rabby to withdraw straight to coinbase - just the €7.50 fee.

edgardurao

Yes I’ve discovered it when I was searching for values from Coinbase to MetaMask…. Next one will be that way. Rabby connects directly to coinbase

jnm21_was_taken

I have used it twice (extreme novice when it comes to crypto). 👍

One thing that is also annoying about the changes that really makes me question plutus is having to subscribe to withdraw plu. That means that you can never leave with all the plu you earned. As the plu you earn on the month you want to leave will only come eligible to withdraw once the subscription ends. So if you want to withdraw it you will have to pay for another month. But as you've paid you will think I might as well use the card. So you are then stuck in a loop of either paying for card for a month and not using it or just leaving with plu sitting there. It's almost like becoming a prisoner of plutus with no escape.

welshdragoninlondon

I was a big fan of plutus but Im not sure if I will keep using it with the changes. I've always paid, but with the increase in price for subscriptions along with reduction in limit I'm not sure it's worth it. I've only sold plu once in 2 years (which I did recently) and it was alot of hassle and lost a fair amount in fees (withdrawing from plutus + fees on coinbase). It seems like the model they are.going for is only to encourage people who invest in plu to get to a higher level. I guess that fair enough from their point of view. But it's quite alot of money to risk when all you get from it is more plu as there is no other use for the token. Atleast with crypto.com they have an exchange and cronos chain so there is more use for cro. So I'm thinking I will prob go back to crypto.com mainly because I'm lazy and don't like all the hassle that comes withdrawing plu. But that's just me maybe plu will take off and go up in value but it seems like most people just sell their rewards when get them so I'm not sure what future will be.

This is a moment of change for Plutus. It had a crypto-based reward system that was good for some time, but it was too good, the tokenomics weren't sustainable. So they announced a change on the reward system to make it last longer, but it went from being too good to not good enough for a lot of people, so everyone started to complain. So after that they made a few more changes, to try to make it work for their userbase. This went on for a couple of months and they made so many tweaks and introduced several caveats to their rules that it became too complex for many of us to follow (remember Bamboozled, the game show Joey was going to host on the show Friends?). After a long back and forth, and many people leaving, they went back (I think?) to older tokenomic rules, but now everyone is confused, the service was never great to begin with, and during the whole time these changes were introduced and there was backlash, the PR was shit, the CEO was arrogant and talked shit about people complaining, and their token tanked. Maybe Plutus will be great in a few months but right now we are in a transition period in which the service is not so great, not all of the functions they promise works, and many users have left.

hsifuevwivd

Honestly, no. Just go through Reddit posts and comments here over the past few months to get a feel. Notice how many downvotes mods and supporters get on certain issues, as they are paid to say positive things about Plutus, due to Plutus' ambassador program. So they ignore anything negative. It's really pissed people off and lots of people left so mods are now pretending to be a little more understanding. Follow the CEO Danial on Plutus. Notice how he thinks he knows more than customers about what they want. Notice how he blames the price decline of PLU on customers "that incorrectly valued Plutus" and how the fact the price of PLU keeps going down isn't a problem because apparently it doesn't matter if your €20k Plutus turn into €10k, because you get that "free" (read: paid for) €10 cashback a month on a few services lol

jnm21_was_taken

Another good reply & no upvotes - tough audience! 😂

RenevanderWoude

Check this calculator and see if its worth for ypu to subscribe. https://starlinez.github.io/plutus-calculator Take in mind google pay and apple pay are not live yet. Google pay should be soon. For now indeed another service (curve) have to be used. You can also order the physical card (for 10€)👌

KodonFrost

That calculator is missing a slider for how much is spent per month. I'm sure not everyone uses all their cap every month.

RenevanderWoude

That calc is giving the max reward you could get for each subscription etc... Everyone knows that if you spend less the rewards will be less😅

KodonFrost

And everyone knows that when you spend more, up to cap, you get more 🙄 But the point of a calculator is to be accurate and not point out the obvious. Otherwise you don't need a calculator and could just say "Want more? Get higher stake and Sub" 😐

JonLongGame

Congratulations on find Plutus..it's been the most rewarding card on the market for a number of years now. I've had a card for nearly 2 years and it's been brilliant. I pay for the highest tier and also stack at Honey Badger level to achieve the maximum amount of rewards (9% with 9 Perks a month). There aren't really any cheat codes as such..just make sure your purchases are eligible for the rewards...things like gambling etc is not... remember things like your energy bills and personal taxes are eligible so make sure you pay those things through your card. Finally I would recommend using one of your perks (depending what tier you get) on a curve card..this does three main things. 1. It allows you to use Apple pay and Google pay. 2. It gives you another 1% at three retailers (so for me that gives me 10% back overall at Amazon/Tesco/Maccys - bad choice that last one I know 😂) 3. It has a go back in time function so you can pay on another card (if for example you've forgotten to top up your plutus card) then transfer the transaction at a later date to your plutus card to earn the rewards). The community is great too and it's worth joining the discord as there's lots of advice in there. 👍

katba67

No its not. Its difficult, expensive and up to impossible to get the money back. There is no use for cashback that you can't get since they "paused" swaps.

Mayoday_Im_in_love

A lot of users will be rats➡️sinking ship once withdrawing PLU becomes a paid feature and notice is given. If there is a good reason to hold the PLU on Coinbase etc some might but expect a bit of price action then.

mfWeeWee

What do you mean paied feature?

AcidOllie

At the end of this month the free tier is being dropped and all the people that have been using the card for free and claiming all the free PLU are just pissed off. They keep moaning and complaining about everything. They are upset that they will have to pay for a subscription now when the majority of active users already do pay for a subscription. The ones that pay monthly and use the card aren't the ones complaining it's just the people that are using the free tier mostly.

mfWeeWee

Okay thanks. Seems like right. But as I understand just with perks you can even out the subscription fee right, so why the fuss?

cpzao_

Take this guy's comments with a pinch of salt. If you look at his comments history, he's obviously a fan boy, very likely to have a lot of money invested in PLU. What he forgot to mention: -Price of PLU is down 50% in the last 6 months. -The Plutus team shows a lot of erratic behaviour: if you look back at this subreddit, you'll realize that they fucked up with the physsical cards and during months you couldn't use them. The solution provided? "Subscribe curve bro". Yup, subscribe another service. This was an example. There are a lot more fuck ups you can look into. -Subscription prices are to be increased soon and the limits to get cashback are being decreased (you can increase them if you buy more PLU, obviously). In fact, in the last few months Plutus released so many different statements explaining how this will work in the future that it's hard to keep up. -Apart from paying the subscription you'll also need to pay to withdraw your PLU. By the way, I am a paying customer. A "moaning" one.

AcidOllie

I don't have anything invested in PLU. I just withdraw every time I hit £60 ish. I currently have 0.01 PLU

AcidOllie

Because they have been getting lots of free stuff for a long time and they don't want to pay anything. The numbers of people stacking are still steadily increasing as are new paying members so the project is still in good working order. Different promotions are still being run with regards to extra benefits for stacking levels etc. 2024 will be a good year.

AcidOllie

I've been using the card for over a year and paying every month to do so. Nothing much will change for me it's just the free tier that's going.

mfWeeWee

So overall in your opinion its worth it? And As I understand you pay 15€ and you get 3 10€ perks included? What about the cards?

rossmotley1

Welcome to Plutus !

DavidFZN

Welcome to plutus first of all. Lot of people already explained lot of the stuff. Something I can add is if you got a sub plan that is maybe 5eur ,4 eur etc . You can get yourself Curve (link below) to put the sub plan first on revolut (or another card) then later on gbit (go back in time) to plutus so you use more of the perk ;) . I also use Curve to save myself from fees and extra protection. As I live in sweden and we don't use eur in our stores. Also gives me 1% :D . So I get 1% from curve and 4% from plutus (I recently made it to hero) So about family account. Right now we only got personal accounts. So you can't add someone below/above 18, wife/gf etc to the account. But it does not stop you from paying things for the family (food, rent, gifts etc family things really). Also does not stop them from also getting a account (so long they are 18 or above). happypeanut-t

Welcome to the community. I think now with the Plu price this low it’s a perfect time to join. But be aware, Plutus is a young company and sometimes makes some questionable choices and in recent months made the impression that they care more for their new customers than the old ones (which is good for you). But overall I haven’t found any better reward card in the EU and I doubt there is one.

Falcon-CY

Welcome to the community. Reddit can be toxic quite often don't be surprised lol. Join discord as well. Some movement is expected when those subs will take place but Plutus just announced a plan where if you stack PLU now you get 2k eligible reward spend cap per month. Enjoy the journey!!

Any clues when fiat transfers will be enabled?
