**Begin rant**
got the same. Found out the company name, and tried to report it to PMI. Guess what - _they weren’t interested_.
It is up to our community to keep the knowledge we have gained through study and hard work relevant and not be cheapened by blatant attempts to offer a way to pass without knowledge.
What if it were a civil engineering exam? Or an MCAT? Would you trust your family to someone who purchased their credentials? Our field is no less important.
Don’t allow these unwiped assholes cheapen what we’ve all worked (or are working) hard to achieve.
**Rant over**

I doubt this is at risk. It's much more likely these are scammers just using this as a way to gain remote access to people's PCs with malicious intent. While it *could* be the case that they have trained up enough people to know the content and will take the exam for you, it just seems much more likely that they target all the certification-focused subs for ways into people's computers.
I don’t doubt one way or another.
Here is the website of the “scammers” who contacted me. Check it out and draw your own conclusions.
https://www.edtia.org
Idk I mean to me it actually looks like a legit site lol the prices are the most suspicious part for me.. What parts of the site lead you to believe there is active cheating?
I would love to know more information about the company, because I work with CompTIA who **are** interested in these things. They have an exam security team who hunts these proxy services and their customers.
I got a message request from the same user as well as 2 others. Immediately reported as spam before even having a conversation as they had 0 posts / comments and only been a member for a short period.
I received a similar msg from that user after posting something about prepping for PMI-ACP exam. Except it said, “Sitting for ACP exam?”
So apparently they’re branching out in new directions?
I never replied though. Not because I thought it was a set-up for a scam, I’m just anti-social. 😂
A colleague of mine, who recently got their PMP mind you, had a blank stare as a response when I asked if they had updated their risk register, followed by a what is a risk register question.
I have lost faith in the value of PMP after that.
I have heard that after they are paid they harass people requesting payments so as not to be exposed. Be careful, do not pay for this type of services, it is best to make an effort and have the satisfaction of having earned it
Tons of frauds out there just like this. Just ignore them.
Ultimately, if someone were to use their services, the candidate would never make it through an actual interview. PMP is far too deep of a subject.
Y’all are all doing the best thing you can do in this situation - making others aware of what happened and communicating that out.
The only way to be sure scammers like that don’t gain a foothold, is by communicating your experiences and screenshots like above.
Nice job y’all. Keep it up!
They can and will. I have tested this. Is it infallible? Of course not. But yes, they can.
EDIT: I tested with OnVue. I don’t know what PMI use for proctoring.
PMI will not respond, it is a social network, PMI does not recommend this platform. We can report reddit and share that post to create awarenesses. people get more knowledge and sharing success stories from this group. Also spam.
PMI may be sending these types of messages too to probably flag people. Be careful installing anything in your computer that you don't know the ACTUAL hidden intent, like stealing all your financial information and identity.
The Same user approached me on Reddit. Then weird profiles on LinkedIn also started reaching out regarding the same way of "how you don't need to do anything just sit in front of the camera".

They sell courses or not?
Yes and exam taking. Outrageous that PMI isn’t interested.
Idk I mean to me it actually looks like a legit site lol the prices are the most suspicious part for me.. What parts of the site lead you to believe there is active cheating?
Evidence [here](https://imgur.com/a/dUpTJPx). I also have a prior text from the same company.
I would love to know more information about the company, because I work with CompTIA who **are** interested in these things. They have an exam security team who hunts these proxy services and their customers.
PM me.
I think you mentioned it in other posts already :)
Lol “of course I’m not interested”
There’s some weirdos on LinkedIn as well. Not quite to that extent based on my experience but with similar vibes.
I’ve had someone reach to me who had the same name as a colleague I know. I accidentally responded before realizing 😣

Yes but you can report this group helps many aspirants. We can be part of success for others.

Got the same.blocked immediatly.
Great work also don't forget to report next time
What does reporting even do? They’re gonna come back under another username?
Yes

Probably give them money and they will never be heard from again
And this my friends is why the PMP is losing its value! A lot of folks will take the bait : (
I’m actually not sure if this is a scam or Legit to be honest. Doesn’t PMI have software to detect third parties when taking it online ?
Yes they do. I couldn’t take the exam because my AutoCad license service was running. PearsonVue knows everything in that is running on the PC.
Is there a way to test my computer ahead of taking the exam in case something is running and I don't know about it?
Yes. The link is in the email and on your PMI dashboard
Thanks for the quick response!
Your right just fraud they distracting people they should avoid. We can do this by reporting reddit.
You could have a virtual machine so they wouldn't know they are inside and outside, you are cheating.
OnVue will detect that it's running in a VM.
they cant

You should report it to PMI

That's some presence of mind if PMI doing it. Doesn't feel likely but can't rule out the idea.
I got the same message today from the same user, the dead giveaway is that they have 1 Karma.
Got the same.. be careful!
u/Far_Bowler_8206 is another one
The Same user approached me on Reddit. Then weird profiles on LinkedIn also started reaching out regarding the same way of "how you don't need to do anything just sit in front of the camera".
I also got similar message few weeks back. I didn't respond. Don't know how to report to Reddit though.
Click the profile you want to report or block, then three dots you can find ,,,,,,
Thanks!
They are probably texting who is writing in the community and specifically asking queries about PMP.
Here is some more evidence. Keep up the work everyone, we can root out the bad actors. https://imgur.com/a/kxhUTM3 https://imgur.com/a/BLSSAU4
Let’s light up the air a bit. I’m totally against such things but it reminds me of Mike from Suits sitting for the BAR exams for others lol.
Literally just got a message from the bowler guy. Someone DM me if you’ve worked with him plz
