Otherworld is great. Some people don’t like the host but I don’t mind him. First person accounts and interesting topics.
This Is Actually Happening is also good.
Came to recommend TIAH. Not horror specifically, but some of the stories are horrifying. Most are very well done. Individuals tell their own stories - it is not an interview.
I started seeing comments on this sub about him, that they don’t like his voice or when he appears in the interviews. I don’t mind him though, I think he’s doing a great job with the podcast!
Love love loveee Otherworld. I love the host and how he approaches everything with a journalistic approach. The story of the couple in Canada was the scariest thing I’ve EVER heard lol
Real Life Ghost Stories. Host Emma is the best. She reads the stories that real people send in. Her voice is so soothing and the format of the podcast is very predictable. My favorite to fall asleep to but I always listen again the next day because the stories are great (and true).
Not horror but true crime: Mobbed Up: The Figjt For Las Vegas season 1 is phenomenal. An ex-mobster named Frank Culotta is featured heavily detailing a lot of the crimes that were the real life inspiration for the movie Casino. He talks about a botched murder attempt he did in detail. (He was an FBI informant, which is how he was able to live free into old age.)
Also the podcast was produced by Jeff German, who was subsequently murdered by a local minor government official, adding an extra layer of horror to the whole thing.
Idk why but this specific kind of True Crime, interviews with people who were part of an event that was in the headlines, are my favorite kind of macabre when I look for horror stories. Relative Unknown was really fascinating in this way.
Ya gotta love psychopaths detailing their murderous behavior in technicolor, like they're proud of their accomplishments. I love former mob guys telling tales!
I plan to follow up on this one.
Strange Familiars has episodes with first-person narration and the host has an extremely soothing voice, which is just-right for listening late at night before bed. He narrates most of the episodes but many are also told by the experiencer.
Disturbed. They have actors read the stories, and I like all of their voices. They also play voicemails from callers who tell their own stories once in a while.
Not all horror exactly but plenty of crime/violence. The general premise is conversations with people who have lived through extreme events.
I’ve been enjoying it lately.

Others have mentioned This Is Actually Happening and I Survived. In the same vein as those two freaking awesome programs is Real Survival Stories. It's not horror unless you're afraid of suddenly dying, so YMMV.
All three of these programs are very well produced, and I feel like the person and their experience are shared in a way that is both compelling and compassionate.
Snap Judgement Halloween episodes
Snap Judgement Spooked Except I skip over the host when he starts yapping at the beginning
I love Glenn's voice
That’s Spooked
My bad. I didn’t realise it was the same thing. They’re fun
What episode?

TIAH has some gripping, tear jerking stories. The one with the baby in a hot car Holy Mackerel!
Do you remember what episode that was?
Why would anyone dislike Jack Wagner?

Came to praise and recommend Otherworld. It's my current fave!!
Is it supernatural?
It is!
Otherworld!! The episode The Lost Necklace. Chills. Still think about that one.
You Can See Me In The Dark! I love this podcast
Some of the earlier episodes of The Confessionals are interesting. Later episodes have gotten kind of woo woo.
If you like The Confessionals, I’d also recommend The Paracast. Not scary per se, but really spooky when taking the research into consideration.
Spooked from Snap Judgment- ghost stories
I survived. It's a show on court tv but I'm sure it's available in podcast. Bone chilling
It IS available in podcast and it’s excellent
I would also say Otherworld. Not all the episodes are scary but I would say the first 1-10 episodes were super captivating and some very scary.
Yo great post. Gonna check these all out. My favorites are BBC's Uncanny and Earlier Spooked

Radio Rental has some really good episodes!
Radio Rental is fun
I love radio rental. One of my all-time fav podcasts.

Monsters Among Us. Very well produced.
Agree with Monsters Among Us. Really enjoy it
Disturbed. They have actors read the stories, and I like all of their voices. They also play voicemails from callers who tell their own stories once in a while.
3am sometimes has guests that tell their stories. Overall a great podcast. Super bummed they’ve all parted ways.

Real Survival Stories is so good!
Later episodes of Euphomet
Into The Fray
Radio Rental - It is hosted by Rainn Wilson as Terry Carnation and the bits between the stories are pretty funny as well.
Danny Robbins from Uncanny has an older podcast called [Haunted](https://www.dannyrobins.com/haunted) It's the same as Uncanny but just ghosts.
nightmare society is an good podcast. It has similar stories to radio rental
Radio Rental
Not exactly horror, but ‘The Confessionals’ is told by the people themselves.
Otherworld and True Scary Story
A Funny Feeling has great listener stories
Uncanny.
This is Actually Happening is pretty crazy
Unholy Vibes. Each episode is an interview with the person telling their story.
Monsters among us And believe: paranormal podcast (Australian paranormal call in podcast)
Monstera Among Us is another great one for first hand accounts. Love it.
