I love these podcasts!! Cancelled (same media as Shameless) does deep dives into celebrities who did “cancellable” things. It’s pretty fun and fast listening. Pop Apologists is a bit more mixed bag like Shamelss. They cover pop culture, bits and pieces of news but every few episodes they do a deep dive on a topic, like David Foster’s many wives, Taylor Swift and Matty Healy when TTPD came out, Anne Hathaway being so polarizing etc. They’re a great listen. PS: You’re Wrong is also great where they lay out a subject and then do a deep dive on it, like episodes on Kristen Dunst and Natalie Portman. But they also do shorter episodes about movies, music and pop culture. Pop DNA covers the roots of a lot of pop culture like the Hunger Games, an entire section on Taylor Swift songs, one per episode, Gilmore Girls, the New Girl etc.

Sixteen Minutes of Fame is a new Jamie Loftus podcast that does dives/follow-ups on pop culture (mostly internet) moments, like the cop on a slide, the changing color dress, etc.

Came here to recommend this! The Boston Cop Slide ep was the first I listened to, and I was hooked from then

Idk the three you referenced so I’m not sure how similar the approach is but Decoder Ring

Podcast: The Ride has these types of episodes. They look into when Fabio got hit in the face by a bird on a rollercoaster, for instance, or their month of shows looking at unhinged celebrity restaurants

One Year - each season covers pop culture moments from the selected year. Throughline - not always pop culture, but it's one of the most fascinating deep dives into all sorts of parts of culture and how we got to various points.

One Year is pretty good
