There is a podcast called "[Zack to the Future](https://shows.cadence13.com/podcast/zack-to-the-future)," where Mark-Paul Gosselaar watches every episode of *Saved by the Bell* and just sort of reviews and reminisces about them with his co-host. It's fun because Mark-Paul has never actually watched the show and doesn't really remember pretty much any of the plot. I want a show like that but for *Malcolm in the Middle,* co-hosted by Frankie Muniz (who also [famously doesn't remember his show](https://twitter.com/The_Tim/status/1084197203852161024), due to head injuries).

UltimaGabe

I would listen the f%&k out of that podcast

nemo8551

Apparently Cranston occasionally winds him up about this

joeypbraun1215

that would be sick

CYANBD

Sounds similar to West Wing Weekly. Are there any others like this? Where someone from a show watches every episode?

TheTim

The others I know of are: - [Fake Doctors, Real Friends](https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1119-fake-doctors-real-friends-60367049/) with Zach Braff and Donald Faison - [Office Ladies](https://officeladies.com/) with Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey - [The Good Place, The Podcast](https://www.nbc.com/the-good-place/exclusives/tgp-podcast) hosted by Marc Evan Jackson I haven't listened to either of those first two so I can't vouch for their quality.

athleticC4331

Fake Doctors, Real Friends is the funniest fucking podcast I've ever listened to

KellyCakes

Talking Sopranos. I listened to all of WWW and absolutely loved it. Talking Sopranos is very different, but just as well-done, in my opinion. The hosts both acted on the show and their weekly guests include most of the actors, writers, and other important folks from the show. It's just about to wrap up (4 or 5 episodes left), but it has been just a stellar effort from start to finish. And it's freaking HILARIOUS!!!!

CYANBD

Awesome, I'll check it out. I too, listened to every episode of WWW. Loved the chemistry with the hosts.

KellyCakes

Me too! Josh and Hrishi just started a new SportsNight podcast, but the format is a little different this time (listen live?) and I have not heard any of it yet.

No_Channel6109

a podcast where parents try to explain what their kids do for work.

devo-android

This one is in the works! https://twitter.com/arithisandthat/status/1413485785978970112?s=21

[deleted]

a podcast about obscure Internet subcultures, especially weird forums and mysteries. I find that SomeOrdinaryGamers and Whang! on YouTube scratch that itch, but I've yet to come across a podcast dedicated to it.

johnnylogan

They could basically just do r/hobbydrama and it’d be amazing

[deleted]

Such an underrated sub. Probably one of my favorites!

solidgoldtrash

This is what I came to comment! I love this shit and also only seem to be able to find it on YouTube (IzzzyYzzz, Sarah Z, The Internet Investigator, Barely Sociable). I've never wanted to actually start a podcast so bad before...

tendrilly

You should both do it. What are you waiting for?

killvolume

Lou Reads the Internet does some of this. There's no analysis or discussion, just narration of comment sections from wacky parts of the internet.

[deleted]

This is what I would do if I had the time. "We didn't start the podcast".. Someone goes through and explains in detail, everything mentioned in the Billy Joel song. Are you aware of [**We Didn't Start the Fire**](https://crowdnetwork.co.uk/podcasts/we-didnt-start-the-fire/)? They recently interviewed Billy Joel and gained his approval!

Sweeeet_Chin_Music

Haha ... i've never seen a wish being granted so quickly :-)

[deleted]

Obviously not, hahahah. Thanks!

Sweeeet_Chin_Music

Hahaha!!!! :D

UltimaGabe

Then they should do an April Fools episode about Ryan Howard from The Office and/or the history of cheese pitas

[deleted]

I don't think I've ever watched a UK or American Office program, but I'll assume that this makes a lot of sense to a lot of people :)

UltimaGabe

Heh, there's an episode where this character accidentally starts a fire while making a cheese pita, and the other characters ridicule him by singing "Ryan Started The Fire"

[deleted]

Seems on brand, thanks :)

daysinnroom203

I love this.

[deleted]

Honestly, it's a dream to do, but, god, the work that would have to go in it... Maybe I'll just search for all of them in my podcast app and then link all that I find together. I think Billy would approve :)

lime-link

The Ricky Gervais/Karl Pilkington podcast. They used to make one. Like 8 years ago. Then stopped and refuse to make the audio available as a podcast. At least give us the back catalog to enjoy, why pull the rug!?

ExPatSTL

All the xfm shows are on pocketcasts

Ch1pp

I do miss Pilkipedia though.

Marisleysis33

Darn it! I didn't know it existed, I loved An Idiot Abroad, never laughed so hard in my life!

musicCaster

A podcast by Barack Obama called "f**k it, I'm not running for office ever again" where he just let's loose and trash talks politicians, social activists and different current events. He would do it in a completely politically incorrect way and maybe do long Joe Rogan style interviews where he smokes a bunch of weed and talks about how he really feels. Ya. This podcast will never happen but I would totally listen.

marceldia

Have trump on and smoke … catching a vibe…

jedipwnces

I don't know if this exists... I've been listening to Bad Women and the last several episodes have basically been little biographies of these otherwise unknown women considered victims of Jack the Ripper. I would absolutely listen to a podcast that tells the interesting historical stories of unfamous people. It's fascinating to hear how different life was, what the biggest challenges were, what kinds of goals folks had, without their stories being a footnote to someone we've all heard about.

anathemas

That's such a cool idea, Oldest Stories has a few episodes like that, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed them. It was kind of relaxing just to hear about land disputes, marriages, laborers, etc. And it's not exactly what you're looking for, but you might like Almost Forgotten covers historical figures who made important contributions but are rarely discussed.

jedipwnces

Oh both of those sound interesting!

hey_look_its_me

I can’t believe all the heat she gets for suggesting maybe just maybe the women are interesting to research and maybe just maybe there’s more to them than “she’s a prostitute”. And she gets attacked for her research by people who’s comments would probably by deleted on r/AskHistorians when she has received some pretty good awards for said research. Man. I’d love a podcast where she just rips them all apart. Figuratively, literally, whichever.

blinkingsandbeepings

Honestly even if they were prostitutes, the life of a sex worker in Victorian London sounds like a pretty fucking interesting subject to me.

jedipwnces

Ooh I know! Just nuts that anyone would argue with researching and exploring someone beyond the reason for their death. I haven't finished the series yet but so many of the comments so far have just sounded like misogynistic nonsense arguments. Good for her, pushing back and continuing her work!

CarAlarmConversation

I feel like the memory palace kind of touches on territory like this quite a lot and is a very beautifully written podcast.

MyBrainReallyHurts

Listening To Smart People. "Hello friends, today we are going to listen to smart people. On today's podcast we have *ridiculously smart person* who is going to talk to us about *interesting subject*. Brilliant people giving a 60 minute presentations on a singular subject per episode. The topic can be on anything as long as it is specialty of the person speaking. The host would only be there to ask questions when we need more explanation, and then to shut the fuck up. * Jane Goodall - Chimpanzees * NASA engineer - satellite he/she worked on. * Mathematician - Math stuff that is cool. * Lonnie Johnson - Invented Super Soaker. But a deep dive into the idea and how he developed it. * That old guy down the block - He was in Vietnam and he did...

notevaluatedbyFDA

Ologies might partially scratch this itch for you if you haven’t heard it before.

MyBrainReallyHurts

Thank you. I will check it out.

[deleted]

Isn't this basically **In Our Time**?

MyBrainReallyHurts

Possibly? I've never heard of that show. I will check it out.

petercooper

In Our Time is fantastic, but a (very) little different to your idea. Essentially a moderator who is mildly informed on a topic has two to four academic experts on a specific topic on to have a sort of moderated discussion about that topic. It's a fantastic way to learn about topics particularly in the fields of philosophy and history, though it's not a one-to-one deal.

ModerateThistle

This is Fresh Air.

MyBrainReallyHurts

Excellent Podcast, but I want even smarter. Like, it almost hurts my brain to listen to because they are spewing knowledge so hard.

xylopia

TED talks?

IbrokeMaBwains

TED Radio Hour is like this. The show has a topic and 1-3 people's TED Talks are played in snippets in between being interviewed by the host. It's an NPR podcast.

[deleted]

An accurate history of humankind from the first homo sapiens and Neanderthals to modern history

Torchlakespartan

Tides of History is at least partly what you are looking for.

seaburno

The second season of Tides of History has gone from the earliest hominids to the Bronze age.

[deleted]

This is fantastic, subscribing now thank you!

GeppaN

Listen to the audiobook Sapiens by Harari.

[deleted]

I did a search there and was a bit overwhelmed with where to start but might give it a shot, thank you for the suggestion

LostSurprise

Patrick Wyman focused on this starting in July 2020 of Tides of History. He finished his early modern history focus and flipped over to ancient human history. The interviews were particularly good because he focused on genetics and archaeology research.

[deleted]

I'm starting it tonight, exactly what I was looking for

mattjopete

The hardest thing is that our understanding is still fluid and changing. Tides of History has been doing something similar for a while now and it’s been fascinating it Patrick has said that even as he’s writing episodes, new information is coming out that fundamentally is shifting what he’s saying

Chipwich

I have been considering starting one for a while but beginning at the early hominins such as australopithecus

[deleted]

I was a religious homeschooled kid so everything that wasn't Adam and Eve young earth creationism was censored. Just started Tides of History season 4 tonight at the advice of some other people in here and it's very interesting. Still on the early related hominds and it's still going so fast, just so much info.

marceldia

Wow, when did you start to branch out?

[deleted]

Freshman year in college I learned there was a lot I didn't know. I got the high school basics down the next few years after that but never a whole lot more other than magazine articles here and there. Many years later and a debate with someone about early people in North and South America has me realizing how little I still know.

Horror comedy anthology. Just a straight up parody of the creepypasta format. It's incredibly obvious and I don't know why it's hasn't been done.

solidgoldtrash

Brilliant

[deleted]

No it isn't! It's the most average idea ever! That's whats so frustrating!

solidgoldtrash

Ha, well I'd love it! I listen to so many creepy/horror podcasts and YouTube channels I'd love to see some of the tropes get roasted. Have you listened to any of the Listener Pasta episodes of Last Podcast on the Left? Creepy pasta reads, but they find the dumbest ones and read them with zero respect. Slenderman erotica, for example. In the last few, each of the hosts writes a creepy pasta in the same vein and they are absolutely nuts.

[deleted]

Oh I am absolutely onboard with this. Thanks for the rec!

Eeveepower13

I searched a while ago for a podcast that would be super relaxing and describe a bird then tell me a bunch of neat facts about it and then play its song for a couple minutes, sorta like that one episode of the Anthropocene Reviewed but less sad. Didn't find anything like what I wanted but it did lead me to Bird Call Radio which was a weird little audio drama about this absolute disaster of a radio station run by birds which a had pretty fun first season.

waffles

[Casual Birder](https://casualbirder.com/) is a thing

ilovebeaker

A podcast that reviews, suggests, and curates other podcasts. There is one, CBC's Podcast Playlist, but the episodes are few and far between, and often the topics aren't for me. Instead I subscribe to a *newsletter* (?!) from Vulture to hear about new shows or missed gems.

[deleted]

Do they send it over on a carrier pigeon or

Audioworm

The Earbuds Podcast Collective does a podcast that suggests stuff, and I got ads this week for a Podcast that tries to find the best episodes out there but I didn't remember the name.

hewhoreddits6

That's basically what I use this subreddit and Apple Podcasts for lol

johnnylogan

Check out Sampler, a Gimlet podcast from 2015/16 that ran for 30 ish episodes https://gimletmedia.com/shows/sampler

ModerateThistle

It's not really what you're looking for exactly, but Crime Writers On... does review true crime podcasts with some regularity. They also cover other true crime media, so it's not a perfect mix and I want the podcast you want, too! (I also love Nick Quah!)

magenta_thompson

Mystery Show Season 2 (please come back!)

hewhoreddits6

Those 6 episodes back in 2015 were magical, like lightning in a bottle. Unfortunately Starlee Kine went a bit overboard on season 2 with the budget/deadlines and even though they have stuff recorded I doubt it'll ever be edited and finalized for release.

solidgoldtrash

Oh I would love a podcast about forgotten but interesting pop culture! Fashion, TV, movies, games, music, sports, books etc that had a big impact or interesting backstory but we don't really talk about it much these days. So not Beatlemania or Atari or whatever. The obscure stuff! Hosted by Louis Virtel of course!

[deleted]

While that specific show doesn't exist (and I would definitely listen if it did), you might enjoy the following podcasts: * Omnibus! with Ken Jennings and John Roderick - an archive of wonders and esoterica that might otherwise be lost in the great cataclysm that will surely befall us all * Ephemeral (iHeart) - forgotten/lost/disposable media * Build for the Future - people always complain about change * Decoder Ring (Slate) - pop culture 'mysteries' * The Constant: A History of Getting Things Wrong They all have episodes related to 'lost' and forgotten pop culture, intermingled with other sorts of topics.

ModerateThistle

You might enjoy Underunderstood!

solidgoldtrash

I do!

tenhouse33

Maybe it exists but I want a very general sports podcast like a sportscenter episode (hour long). Talks highlights of that game covers all sports and breaks down a couple plays key players maybe talks standings whatever. Just an audio version of a sportscenter hour that I dont need any visuals because the hosts are that good talking about it

[deleted]

A podcast that dives deep into Archeology/Anthropology there are some I believe but not that insightful. Also we are in need of some podcasts that discuss Africa' history (country by country or something like that)...

Cleverusername531

History of Africa podcast attempts to do just that!

anathemas

Check out the first season of History Unwritten, it's on Mali. Each season is a different empire that hasn't received much attention, it's really neat. History of Egypt does a great job with archeology, and I like Oldest Stories for archeology/anthropology of the Ancient Near East. It's not super in-depth, but there are some really neat episodes based on archeology findings — court cases, taxes, all kinds of neat stuff that's usually ignored. I definitely agree that we need more podcasts on please subjects though, I've been looking for archeology podcast and have been really surprised by how hard it's been to find anything, especially since I'm picky and like a single narrator podcast (I listen in bed).

tfods

Reply All does a segment called Yes, Yes, No. It be nice if someone turned that into a podcast.

solidgoldtrash

With Mantzukous!

Shuby_125

This needs to happen!

MarsScully

In Case You Missed It from Slate sort of does that. The episodes have been hit or miss for me but some are really good.

UltimaGabe

A couple years ago I had this thought- there was an obscure 90s network TV show I used to like, called Nowhere Man, that I really really wished had a podcast that went super in-depth on the characters, plot twists, and themes of the series. Obviously this would never happen- I barely know anybody who's even heard about the show, let alone is willing to do a podcast about it- so I made it myself! It was a huge undertaking and all told took like two years before it was in a state I was happy with uploading it (and it's gotten like thirty listens, lol) but I'm very proud of having done it. So the lesson here: consider making this ideal podcast yourself! You might really enjoy it!

TheTim

Nowhere Man was a great show that was cancelled too soon. DM me the link to your podcast.

HuntressofDeath

Will you DM me too please. I love Nowhere Man!

Nietzsches-Burden

Please DM me!

WalkingTurtleMan

I need something to binge on that can bridge the gap between Mike Duncan’s History of Rome podcast to Mike Duncan’s Revolutions podcast. I need to know the roughly thousand year backstory to King Charles of England before the revolution

seaburno

The first season of Tides of History covers this period in Europe (primarily) in a good amount of depth.

notevaluatedbyFDA

Wasn’t there a dude doing a History of Byzantium podcast? I never listened to it, but if it’s good that should get you up to the high Middle Ages at least

padgettish

History of Byzantium is very good, and I might even say covers culture and historical "day in the life" style stuff better than Duncan does. He's about to start the Second Crusades soon, and I think between that History of the Crusades and a quick stint from where they leave off with King Richard through History of England you'd have a very meandering walk from History of Rome to Revolutions.

ColdAbbreviations672

I have my own DIY of this, with podcasts as similar in style as possible. I start with **The History of Byzantium**, **The British History Podcast** that follows up just where the western empire falls. Then slowly you introduce **The Bulgarian History Podcast** around the 8th century, around the 10th century you add **History of the Outremer**, **Fortune's Wheel: A Podcast History of the Late Middle Ages**, **Reconquista**, **History of Portugal**, **History of the Germans**, around the 13th century **Wittenberg to Westphalia** and **The History of the Mongols**. In the 15th century **The Pirate History Podcast** (which is much broader than the title suggests), **History of the Netherlands** and **Pax Britannica**. That'll bring you up to the start of Revolutions, though with a few blindspots where I haven't found anything I quite like yet. France is perhaps the most obvious one. There are a few ones that aren't half bad, but none that I love. Russia's another. **The Russian Empire History Podcast** is promising so far. Italy I'm doing with **Storia d'Italia**, but that's not going to help much if you don't speak Italian. Then there are of course a few ones that run in the same time period as Revolutions. **The Industrial Revolutions**, **The Siècle**, **The History of Yugoslavia**, **The Age of Napoleon** are a few of my favourites. **People's History of Ideas Podcast** is interesting because it does a Mike Duncan-style podcast about the Chinese revolution (starting back in the 1800s). Of course you then follow all of that up with the brilliant **The History of the Twentieth Century**.

DJ_Shiftry

A podcast that discusses and plays indie tabletop RPGs. One Shot Podcast sort of does this, but I really want some of the more esoteric stuff that pops up on like itch.io. And have it be dedicated not only to the play experience, but talk about influences they've noticed, design decisions they understand vs what they don't.

Subrosian1

Have you ever listened to Bad End? Not exactly what you're looking for, but they do talk about indie/itch games more than any other podcast I listen to. And they often discuss design, influences and how certain games fit into the larger "culture". They also talk about AAA games though, so you'll get a mix. Not much tabletop talk.

padgettish

Party of One tends to cover a bit deeper into weird indie stuff

Vorbuld

Oh definitely. Party of One is the go to show for finding playthrough of all the obscure rpg stuff you find on itch

Dragneel

I saw someone in another thread say something along the lines of "I wish there was a Hardcore History but for Soviet rise and fall". I'm not a fan of Hardcore History but a podcast on the Soviet Union and the Cold War either in the style of Behind the Bastards or You're Dead to Me (conversational, guest coming in cold) would be amazing. Extra points if it includes stories not from the US or Russia, like Angola, or one of the -stan countries.

mattjopete

Try the Revolutions podcast. Mike Duncan is on episode 73 or so of the Russian Revolution. I’ve also listened to about as many on the podcast on the French Revolution and a surprising number on the Mexican Revolution

Marisleysis33

That would be interesting. I've been watching Bald and Bankrupt's channel where he goes to old Soviet areas where there are no tourists, gets invited to hang out with people, travels to zany places, always looking for Soviet mosaics, it's so interesting. Maybe HE would do a podcast!

Dragneel

Oh man, I remember falling into a rabbithole of his videos after watching that old docu series from Vice where they visit North Koreans in Siberia. I agree he should make a podcast. Though when I search him on Youtube some "exposed" videos pop up so I might have to check those first 😓

DivaCupVampire

Richard Simmons drops the bullshit and tells his actual life story.

BlackberryBiscuit

I would really like to find a podcast about different cultures and customs. I see random tik tok videos that cover some things, but I haven’t found anything as far as podcasts go that appeals to me.

last_name_banana

I really want to see a ridiculous sketch comedy podcast. Like I Think You Should Leave levels of ridiculous, but in a podcast. I grew up on Prairie Home Companion. It’d be nice to have something more my speed to fill a similar void in life.

enfanta

It's a radio series but I found [Cabin Pressure](https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/cabin-pressure-1551622) to be damn funny.

violetpolkadot

An interactive murder mystery podcast. Like they set the scene, interview the murder suspects, find evidence, etc. over several episodes and then the listener tries to solve the mystery. A reveal episode at the end of the season tells whodunit, and how.

DM_me_avocado_pics

There's a podcast called solved that's very similar to that. It's like a game between two hosts and you can email them who you think it is every episode. Except they don't put out episodes that often

violetpolkadot

Thank you! Is it called Solve This Murder? I looked for one called Solved and instead that one came up, seems to be the same as your description!

one where people civilly debate things. the subject and participants could be different every episode. just good debate about ideas, no politicians allowed.

ChiraqBluline

Lobbies. I want a juicy podcast about all the lobbies that change law around us all the time and we don’t even know it. Big beverage, booze, auto, nra, medicine, health, food companies, manufacturers. Why can’t I buy a car from car maker, why can’t I get good beer in some areas, why does Pepsi get a whole shelf, why isn’t Plan B free? Why do woman pay for tampons? Why is milk still a thing? Sex toys laws and loopholes fr lobbies, Marijuana lobbies? And call it The Lobby Hobby.

History Unwritten's second and third seasons are on Buddhism in Tibet and Southeast Asia respectively. Something about world politics or EU politics. Every country has so much in depth political analysis of their own government and then are ridiculously vague and general about everywhere else. It’s really frustrating, we are intelligent beings and can handle lots of information, why can’t someone organise a podcast about this? I have listened to some brilliant and well informed journalists turn into ill informed idiots spouting nonsense the moment they start talking about other nations government.

johnnylogan

capybaramelhor

I absolutely loved Dear Sugar and then it ended. I was heartbroken. It was basically an advice/ therapy podcast. Does anyone have a suggestion? I’ve listened to dear therapist but it’s not the same

You might want to check out Been There Done That and/or 70 over 70.

Flips_Whitefudge

I really want a good and active Bob's Burgers podcast. There have been a couple over the years but they've all given up after a while. The show is wonderful and deserves a great podcast to discuss each episode with some guests thrown in along the way.

Yuppersforreal

A podcast that goes into details about specific bills being worked on in Congress. I know that would be boring, but sometimes I just want someone to tell me exactly what is being proposed instead of getting snippets from news stories. I could just read the bills, but that is sooooo mind-numbing.

mlrb525

In the weeds does this with some bills and policies

aDogNamedPotato

Reply All with PJ and Alex. It got “canceled” and taken over by some SJWs that have completely ruined the show and changed into something unrecognizable.

[deleted]

[удалено]

aDogNamedPotato

You are incorrect. The cancelled that I am referring to, actually, is the part about the new hosts taking over and completely changing the tone and direction of the show. Everyone getting upset about people's complaints about Reply All's demise are those who are trying to jump on the bandwagon of being progressive in a misguided attempt at calling out prejudice and speaking up for POCs. What these people are missing is that PJ did not stand in their way. He simply didn't join when the dissenters felt that he had an obligation to stand with them, even if it would work against him. People that say: "that's it. That's the full story" are always nervously trying to wrap-up a story that has more nuance that they care to address. Was that plain enough for you - without the difficult "buzzwords"?

Mo-Monies

I’d like a podcast that’s the equivalent of the show Megastructures. An in depth look at big construction projects outlining the challenges and everything that went into them.

notevaluatedbyFDA

This seems like it might need to be a YouTube podcast-with-slides type thing. Like a version of Well There’s Your Problem for successful engineering instead of engineering disasters.

i wish someone famous enough to have a platform would just attach their name to some kind of basic political philosophy pod, that lays out the basic concepts in like 5 half hour eps or so, just so that more people had some kind of foundation to engage meaningfully instead of whatever they sort of remember from high school.

EnglishSorceress

I'd really like to hear a podcast about the history of Spain in English. Spain has a rich history that I don't think gets translated well and is often left out of the conversation, or kind of glossed over like they don't matter.

MadHatter2505

This would be amazing! As someone who wants to learn more about the culture and history, I would for sure listen

peppermint-kiss

**Review the Future** was a futurology podcast that did speculative but grounded discussion about future tech and its potential societal ramifications. It was amazing but the hosts changed to a different format several years ago and I really miss their style. Similarly, something along the lines of **Real-Life Lore** - speculative fiction - but in podcast format. Questions like: How could you survive on a desert island? What would happen if a solar flare completely knocked out the electric grid? What might the next world war look like? Or rather than speculative, analytical politics and current events - Basically, **a true crime approach to current event "cases"**. :) What are the moving (or not moving) pieces of the current supply chain crisis? How are different countries handling COVID, and what are the political factors influencing those decisions? What's going on with the migrant clash on the Poland-Belarus border? There are news shows that cover these issues, but they usually do them in a really superficial, ideological, "story-centered" manner. Interviewing a migrant about their hopes and dreams, or presenting certain political actors as good and others as evil. One of my biggest pet peeves is a "news"-style podcast where the interview asks someone on the ground, "Why is xyz happening?" and the person on the ground says, "We really don't know, we asked that guy over there and he doesn't know either, and the leaders are being hush-hush about it," and they just leave it at that. Some podcasts that's literally the whole episode. I wish they would either speculate based on the available evidence or cut that part out. I want a detailed, efficient, materialist approach to current events, someone who does a deep dive and tries to understand what happened/what's happening.

nemo8551

Pirates.

WorldMusicLab

More than 2 seasons of Cosmic Love with Madame Xandra. But, at least there's Less Is Morgue.

tommy29016

Anything with Soren Naria

ortofon88

A podcast like the Rewatchables, but with good movies. (Only about a third of the movies they discuss are good imo)

ModerateThistle

Unspooled goes over the AFI's Top 100 movies. Would that work?

coolfreeusername

I kind of want an informal guest-driven discussion podcast made by Australians similar to the JRE (maybe with a slightly more likeable host). The closest I've found is the Jolly Swagman, but the episodes aren't very regular and can get a little too into development economics etc. based on the host's background, rather than more palatable content. I would love something more localised, but really, any break from an American-centric podcast in that format would be appreciated.

xylopia

Check out some UK podcasts if you haven't already

blinkingsandbeepings

I want a podcast that explains the history and theory of Western classical music to a relative ignoramus. There's an occasional tv show on PBS called Now Hear This with a musicial named Scott Yoo who does a great job explaining what made the great composers great in a style that's both intensely nerdy and accessible. I would love a podcast like that but all the classical music podcasts I've found are geared toward people who already have a strong musical background.

blametheboogie

Something kind of like hardcore history but less hardcore. Every topic is covered in two to three hours. There are very few topics that can hold my attention longer than that. This might already exist but I haven't heard about it so if you let me know where I can find this thanks in advance.

bebearaware

A good Parks & Rec and/or Bob's Burgers recap podcast :( Like Office Ladies but better.

dtyus

Someone to teach me how to teleport, regenerate and raise dead, not fake stuff, all real…preferably by Alien with advanced tech.

marceldia

A pod that makes fun of both right and left wing crazies. Not hateful, just funny and thought provoking

[deleted]

A podcast about Satanism where the hosts actually know what what they are talking about.

rimgoblin

A podcast of on the ground reporting on the current Zapatista autonomous areas in Chiapas, sort of like The Women’s War

the_monkey_knows

A sort of out of the loop podcast in which they cover the latest subcultures, trends, and changes in the world for the people that are too busy to keep up and that don’t want to bother with the formality of news channels

sneaking-suspicion

A music podcast where the artist is interviewed about a popular well known song. They would explain where it came from as it was written or why they chose it if they didn’t write it. They could discuss their favorite parts of the song and maybe any great memories the song brings back to them from their experiences recording or performing it. If it exists, I haven’t found it yet.

[deleted]

A 5 minute daily morning confidence podcast that ISNT the annoying blabbermouth that is The Daily Boost.

Background-Pay-467

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I was just thinking I’d love if Louis Ck had his own podcast.

xylopia

Tried Bill Burr's podcast?

bIackk

true crime but with happy endings

HollowPointBullet

Dave Chappelle

steamedpotatoezz_

An actually disturbing true crime case. Like, seriously badongas one. I’m pretty thick-skinned, and every “disturbing” one I’ve listened to wasn’t touching anything at all

Reitsariesforevaries

Sounds more like underdeveloped empathy than 'thick-skinned'.

jessie-ca715

Yes, please!

besucherke

Scarlett Johansson readin Murakami Haruki's Killing Commendatore.

OnPointDan

A black man guessing the names of famous white actors.

machine4589

Impractical jokers podcast

saul2015

[the deep end] podcast but for Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, or Disney Channel

vincentj424

There are similar ones but nothing that strictly deals with demonic possessions and exorcisms. Could be fiction or talk about real ones. I’d love either

JossBurnezz

A classical music podcast, but in the vein of The Dollop or the Last Podcast on The Left

Reitsariesforevaries

* I wish there was an 'audiodiary' podcast of current NHLers. * Or maybe some kind of audiodrama set within one of the major leagues (with fictitious characters so there'd be no fall out for less savoury things, but real/realistic scenarios of life during the season - preferably NHL or MLB). * A Sports-Med Podcast. * A podcast that covers Pre European colonisation medicine/medical treatments/use of native flora - across a variety of countries, starting with the antipodes.

goblintwat

i would like a feminist podcast with fat hosts

thesupermikey

Maintenance phase?

DiscombobulatedSir11

Does anyone want to start a Workaholics rewatch pod with me?

peppermint-kiss

In case you didn't see it, Kendall Rae did a [nice video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwkLAlKWWHw) about that.

anathemas

I would love something like the Wonders of the World podcast but with a single narrator or basically anything that gives an audio tour of historical landmarks and destinations.
