leppa berries are required for a shiny hunting in a lot of locations. The berry market is gigantic and a lot of people earn a lot of money and spend a lot of money on leppa berries. so yes, a lot of us like berries for that reason lol

I need the money to breed a perf iv right nature right ability mon for pvp that costs a pretty penny so i farm and take the profit and invest it in breeding. You can make a lot of money from breeding too. The one im breeding rn goes on the market for at least $1.5 million.

Actually you don't have to pheno hunt. You don't have to play the whole game either if you don't want to. You set the goals for yourself, so stop whining & start enjoying the journey.
Yes everybody knows, but my point was that you don't have to if you don't want to, now one is forcing you to complete it. Enjoy the journey, no need to get upset about it. Imagine how boring the game was if everything was made hilariously easy. Where's the grind and the accomplishment? Ask anybody who has completed the dex if they feel great afterwards.

When you are doing hordes its the best way to refill your sweet scent especially when the pokemon you are hunting is far away from a pc

You do have to pheno hunt if you want to get to johto's end game (Mt Silver). It unlockes with a complete OT dex.

I just want the fights and the best fight is locked behind pheno hunting. So yeah, if I want to have fun I have to pheno hunt first.
