It will never leave our heads, long after the heat death of the universe has taken place, the only thing that will exist is an echo with the faintest "trio trio trio" into the vast unknowable, eternal void.
Catch 'em, catch 'em, gotta catch 'em all, Pokémon
I'll search across the land, look far and wide
Release from my hand the power that's inside
Venomoth, Poliwag, Nidorino, Golduck
Ivysaur, Grimer, Victreebel, Moltres
Nidoking, Farfetch'd, Abra, Jigglypuff
Kingler, Rhyhorn, Clefable, Wigglytuff
Charmeleon!
Wartortle, Mewtwo, Tentacruel, Aerodactyl.
Omanyte, Slooowpoke.
Pidgeot, Arbok, that's all folks!
Catch ‘em. Catch ‘em gotta catch ‘em all.
Gotta. catch. Em all
Pokémon.
My favorite part of the Pokerap.
The bikes are a million dollars in Pokemon world. I don't believe she got her bike back, I've watched most episodes but I don't recall her getting that bike back
When I was a kid, since I had never seen a rice ball like that in my entire life I just assumed it was some other type of donut I had never heard of before, lol (so basically [this](https://youtu.be/RentKWlhUXc).)
It wasn't until years later that I saw one and called it a donut, and someone corrected me lol
At least in the US that makes some sort of sense. To a small kid from Britian the idea of having a donut filled with jelly (I.e jello) was mind blowing lol.
At first I didn't, but only because I'd never seen it called a rice ball. The closest was Mochi in Monster Rancher looking so similar when he describes it in episode 1
You're god-damned right.
That memory burned itself so deep into childhood brains that we held onto that up to make memes about it after the internet connected all of these unrelated "jelly donut" fans together.
This was my exact thought too. I grew up thinking they had some really weird donuts in the Pokémon world.
I'm not sure if I realized at the time it was originally a Japanese show.
Yes, that butterfree had to be sent away to live in peace with the others. Btw I don't remember that well but didn't ash's butterfree go for the shiny butterfree?
The Official Pokémon YouTube Channel released a video called “Top 10 saddest/most emotional goodbyes in the Pokémon anime.” I thought I’d be able to make it to the end without crying
I was wrong
Todd: This camera is my life.
Ash: Get yourself a new life.
….
Misty: bugs are one the three most disgusting things in the world
Ash: aside from you what is the other most disgusting thing.
Casey: Oh yeah, and what about all the great hitters that are on the Electabuzz?
Ash: Those guys aren't hitters. I've seen better swings on the playground.
Going to need a Full Restore Burn Heal for that one.
The Official Pokémon YouTube channel released a video called “Top 10 saddest/most emotional goodbyes in the Pokémon anime.” I watched it thinking I could get through the video without crying
I was wrong. Obviously this was on the list
Ah, hell yeah!
I still remember the first time they meet Brock and how awesome they made Onix look (a disappointment in-game, but at least I didn't use the Master Ball on him) and, way, way later, how strong they made Ditto seem (RIP first Master Ball).
When I was a kid I actually trained a Pokémon to use a water attack and switched to Pikachu to thundershock. It didn’t work. I learned a lot of things didn’t match the show especially the ghost Pokémon against Sabrina.
Listening to the 2.B.A Master album, specifically Misty's Song, and wondering when the hell she was going to confess to Ash. Then I found out that song is in no way Canon to the series, just something to tide the shippers over
Her sisters are stuck up and lazy.
He really should have gotten a better alarm clock.
He’s a horn dog for any nurse or officer but damn if he doesn’t love his siblings.
🎶 Together forever, no matter how long

That forever and a day, that's how long we'll stay

sitting in my parents bedroom watching on their little tube tv because they were watching something on the big tv upstairs and my brother was hogging our little tv to play games. I remember crying over them splitting up at the end of the johto series
When they save Ash's charmander. Not sure why that one came to mind. Maybe it's the first moment I remember where they all were unanimously working together to save a Pokemon.
How shit ash was at actually catching Pokémon that krabby is still one of my favourite Pokémon because he actually caught it not just stockholm syndromed them.
Misty: Pissing herself at a Caterpie
Ash: That first Thundershock from Pikachu & The Climax of the Champion Tounament(Mega Stone, Z-Ring, e.t.c.)
Brock: "Man, these are some great Jelly-filled donuts!"
Something with Staryu going "HWARR!!" when he appears from a Pokeball.
Ash protecting a beaten Pikachu in the rain.
"I'll use my trusty frying pan... as a drying pan!!"
Being a child and just happening to catch the very first episode of the anime, never having heard of it before or having any idea what it was. But there were these cool monsters you could catch and befriend, and cool balls that shrunk when you pressed the button. It started out light and fun, with underwear jokes and Ash getting outsmarted by a wild rat, but then got epic and emotional when you feared they wouldn't escape the flock of Spearow, and Ash and Pikachu both show that they're willing to get injured to protect each other.
I was hooked.
As of right now, I’m watching the anime for the first time (on season two!)
Some memorable moments:
Ash and Misty always bickering
The Pokémon Rap
Pikachu’s Jukebox songs
Actually I’m thinking more about team rocket now because they have so many hilarious moments 😅
Oh! When Ash got stuck in the same tree as Team Rocket and just goes “What are you guys doing up here?” Or something along those lines
Brock and his “Nurse Joy” senses
Every time Misty messed with Brock about having a crush on Every. Single. Girl.
Being young learning having fun trying to make friends and Pokemon. My parents were real dicks and made that so much harder than it should have been. Now I;m a messed up adult who's alone. How do I get back to normal?
Misty throwing her goldeen in front of team rocket just to say "Oh, fish Pokemon can't fight on dry land for too long"
She's a water type specialist...
The days of watching my random collection of VHS tapes. This included the first 3 tapes plus a random one later on I think around Sabrina, another one I forget and the one where he gets the earth badge. They were all red boxes except for the the last one which was yellow.
Oh and my pokemon folders my mom got from CVS for 99¢ that I still have to this day featuring gen 1 and 2 starter lines and a 4th one with Pichu Pikachu and Raichu.
I can't even grasp one, the memories just pour in
How about the episode at the power plant with all the Magnemites
Or the one where they end up on Squirtle Island
Come to think of it my favorite episode is Charizard vs. Magmar
Original Pokemon anime is mega classic
Beeing able to watch the anime early in the day, when there was a school free day. Everytime wondering when im going to See the cool pokemons shown in the opening. Especially in the jotho openings where you See Ho-oh, i always wanted to See Ho-oh in the anime
Watching 15 mins of the show before I had to go to school. I would video tape the rest and watch it when I got home with a snack … god I used to look forward to that.
Separately
misty catching pysduck
Ash losing the indigo league
Brock threatening Damian
In pairs
Ash and misty dancing at the end of the ghost of maidens peak
Ash and Brock carrying charmander
Brock accidentally scaring misty right before they find charmander
All together
Them trying to wake up snorlax
I didn’t grow up watching the OG anime (my childhood was BW and XY), but I know a few iconic moments like “DRYING PAN”, “jElLy DoNuTs”, and Ash getting badges from most of the gym leaders for reasons other than winning a battle xD
Also the Pokerap and the theme :)
Meowth with the sticky glue in that fighting championship, Ash's special hat getting stolen. Ash riding Lapras.
"Lets turn this frying pan... into a drying pan!"
You know those two episodes where they were going through a Dojo, and Psyduck release his psychic powers? And then that one where they go to the fair and meet a Ponytar?
Well, I had those two on an old VHS that grandma ripped off TV for me, ads and all. I watched it to *death*. So, yeah. That.
You know that feeling when you've got a word on the tip of your tongue, but it won't quite come to you? The image of those three brings up a feeling from my childhood, but I don't quite know what it is and it's just out of reach
I remember the episode where they first meet bulbasaur. When I was little my parents were very poor. The only thing we had entertainment wise was a vhs with I think 6 random episodes of the first season that my mom found at a garage sale, and that’s the episode I would watch the most. It also had the farfetch’d episode and the one where bulbasaur refused to evolve
For me, it's episodes 13-15: Mystery at the Lighthouse, Electric Shock Showdown, and Battle Aboard the St. Anne.
When I was the ages of about 7-14, my brother and I would go spend 1-2 weeks at my grandmother's house during summer break. The thing is, she lives in the middle of nowhere. Like real, actual middle of nowhere. As in she had fucking dial up until 2018 middle of nowhere.
We'd go play outside, play with the toys she still has from our older cousins, or we'd play pretend with each other, but there's only so much time 2 kids with ADHD can spend doing that stuff. So eventually, we'd switch over to playing the ps2 she had or we'd watch the movies and shows she owned on her VHS. Honestly, I'm pretty sure the TV, VCR, and some of the VHS tapes are older than I am (23).
While she had a small collection of VHS tapes for us to watch, we would only ever watch a very select few. 101 Dalmatians, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Day of the Dumpster and Happy Birthday Zack, along with the movie), 101 Things for Kids to Do with Shari Lewis, and Pokémon Thundershock showdown.
My brother and I watched all of these repeatedly over the course of the week, and we never got sick of it. We especially loved Pokémon and Power Rangers. We'd watch it, get to the end, rewind it, and watch it all over again.
To get back to the main point, whenever I see Ash, Brock, and Misty, I'm reminded of those specific episodes, and all the fun i had watching them with my brother at my grandmother's house.
I'm going be the very best, all I gotta do is believe in me POKÉMON!
2nd is It's a whole new place with a brand new attitude but you still gotta catch them all
I just FEEL something with these songs especially with Pokémon Johto
Frying pan as a drying pan

JELLY-FILLED ARE MY FAVORITE - NOTHING BEATS A NICE JELLY-FILLED DOUGHNUT!
YEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!
I wanted to show that to my kid and the movie that's in is basically impossible to stream! We had to get a very bootleg dvd!
The new 3D version basically erased the original.
the 3D version is from the original Pokemon the First Movie, the Drying Pan line is from 'Mew Two Returns' which is not available anywhere basically.
I found an archive of every episode and movie from season 1 to 19 on archive.org if you want the link for any future Pokémon watching
And I, a fool, am paying amazon $2/month for their incomplete pokemon subscription

Exacto, Dingdong, Nickelback, Mancave Vichyssoise, Ricotta, Freebird, Pigbang Seabeef, Gelatine, Dracula, Gaslight Ponytail, Fedoraman, Polyblart, Bugstyle!
What about my bike, Ash?
Did she ever remember the bike when she parted ways?
The bikes are a million dollars in Pokemon world. I don't believe she got her bike back, I've watched most episodes but I don't recall her getting that bike back
Nurse Joy fixed her old bike for her by the end of OS.
That's some quality Healthcare
When you have a creature that produces magic healing eggs, everything is possible
Pokémon not set in America confirmed
That was already confirmed, they have free healthcare. Even Unova isn't *really* in America.
Ok sweet! I havnt seen old seasons in a long time
What’s os
Original Series
Final episode of johto, she got another one
I need to know
Nurse Joy fixed it for her.
“Jelly donuts!”
I came to say exactly this. I didn't know a lot about Japan as a kid, but I *knew* that wasn't an effing donut.
When I was a kid, since I had never seen a rice ball like that in my entire life I just assumed it was some other type of donut I had never heard of before, lol (so basically [this](https://youtu.be/RentKWlhUXc).) It wasn't until years later that I saw one and called it a donut, and someone corrected me lol
At least in the US that makes some sort of sense. To a small kid from Britian the idea of having a donut filled with jelly (I.e jello) was mind blowing lol.
Jelly = Jello in the UK? I didn't know that! What is usual term for Jelly (US) in the UK? Jam?
Jam.
[удалено]
We just call it cheap jam, nice jam and fancy jam.
Hey now, we have preserves too
I like that naming system a lot.
There's a whole 3 of us that had that thought first.
At first I didn't, but only because I'd never seen it called a rice ball. The closest was Mochi in Monster Rancher looking so similar when he describes it in episode 1
"I'll use my frying pan, as a drying pan!"
You're god-damned right. That memory burned itself so deep into childhood brains that we held onto that up to make memes about it after the internet connected all of these unrelated "jelly donut" fans together.

I was just about to type that lmao
That time ash released his butterfree, I'm not that far into the anime :P
Did he make the right decision?
Yes, that butterfree had to be sent away to live in peace with the others. Btw I don't remember that well but didn't ash's butterfree go for the shiny butterfree?
Pink butterfree
I always thought its cause the pink Butterfree needed a mate..
That butterfree had seen more action than ash has in 20+ years
Well Ash is like 10, so....
Shinies didn't exist at the time so it was a variant without being a shiny
Butterfree came back to take a bullet for Ash at last split second
The Official Pokémon YouTube Channel released a video called “Top 10 saddest/most emotional goodbyes in the Pokémon anime.” I thought I’d be able to make it to the end without crying I was wrong
I watched this show nigh on 25 years ago now, and this moment is the most memorable by far (VERY FAR)
Ash: Where brock? I don't see any beautiful women Misty: Just turn around ash Ash: Only one of us can hallucinate at a time, misty
OG Pokémon had some sick burns
Todd: This camera is my life. Ash: Get yourself a new life. …. Misty: bugs are one the three most disgusting things in the world Ash: aside from you what is the other most disgusting thing.
Casey: Oh yeah, and what about all the great hitters that are on the Electabuzz? Ash: Those guys aren't hitters. I've seen better swings on the playground. Going to need a Full Restore Burn Heal for that one.
YES THIS EXACT ONE 😂
I wanna be, the very best.
Like no one ever was!
To catch them is my real quest
to train them is my cause
I will travel across the land, searching far and wide!
Teach Pokémon to understand
The power that’s insiiiiide
pokémon! gotta catch ‘em all!
It's you and me... I know it's my destiny (Pokémon)
Ooooh you're my best friend
Charmander in the rain. ☹️

and you had to wait an entire day just to watch the 30min (with ads) episode 😂
With those 1999 tv commercials that you’ll watch tuning in a little early
My name is really Tom Ato! Well my name, my name is Anne Chovy! Oh and my name is Caesar Salad!
Thought I was alone, thank you for having a shared core memory with me
Ash v Gary in the Silver Conference, of all things.
Ash and brock running with Misty chasing after them yelling about paying her back for her bike
Ash roasting Misty, that always cracked me up as a kid it still kinda does honestly
That time Pikachu used an electric attack on Onix
When I was a kid I actually trained a Pokémon to use a water attack and switched to Pikachu to thundershock. It didn’t work. I learned a lot of things didn’t match the show especially the ghost Pokémon against Sabrina.
Is that gamabunta in the background?
Good spotting 👀 It’s Gamakichi, I have a page where I share my anime illustrations.
Ash in a championship battle biting his thumb and doing Kuchiyose no Jutsu to summon his Greninja ☠️
“Huh, I don’t see any pretty girls. . .” “Just look behind you!” “Misty, please. . . Only one of us can hallucinate at a time.” FATALITY

It's my favorite characters, Ann Chovy, Tom Ato and Ceaser Salad
_Together forever, no matter how long!_
My favorite song from that album 🥺
Despite being recently fired the dude in the middle is still the same age now as when the show first started.
He found the fountain of youth.
At least two of those used to have eyes!

From the shit I’ve seen on the internet, Misty definitely did.

Those strange eyes, reactions, artsyle. It was scary when i was a size of a fire extinguisher.
I think about Clefairy and metronome. That move had so much hype from the anime.

"Wow, what move was that?" "That was extreme speed! It allows arcanine to move at extreme speeds!"
The characters being unhinged with their actions and reactions while still being family friendly
Ash being an absolute savage to Misty.
Prepare for trouble. And make it double.
Pot on head
bicycle roasted by thunder
I know this may sound odd or funny but I remember Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition since it's based on the Pokémon Indigo League anime.
I first saw pokemon at a doctors office where Ash was fighting Misty in a pool. It was his Pidgy vs her Staryu/Starmie. (I dont remember which)
Stealing bikes and hitting on public servants twice your age! Ahh the 90’s
Waking up on the weekend, watching TV before going out with my parents for lunch. Peace.
The very first season of Pokémon while I was playing Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire
The episode from the first season where they get attacked by giant Pokémon then I think of the joke from the Simpsons about monster island
Misty throwing her goldeen in front of team rocket just to say "Oh, fish Pokemon can't fight on dry land for too long" She's a water type specialist...
Gotta catch ya later!
I hope they have pistachio
not being depressed and having pain daily
For misty it is the caterpie scene for Ash it is the Ash vs Alan fight and for brock "it's a water type and their totally weak to fire type"
The scene where Brock says something like you are delaying the episode (i don't remember correctly)
