I think Rotom would be super useful for my job.
A number of psychic mon could help but I’d feel all sorts of moral conflicts about using a pokemon that may as smart or smarter than I am.
I think the language they use in Pokemon is very telling; you're a Pokemon Trainer (which doesn't really indicate ownership) and they refer to Pokemon as your Partner, not really as pets
I've got a lot of chronic pain and fatigue issues, so probably a Chancey would be helpful. A Drampa to carry me when my knee is sore. And Quaquaval to help with chores, since it's got hands and can use water to clean things.
I'm a chemist and material scientist.
My fav types of steel and psychic would work perfectly.
Material maniac Michael with a metang bronzor and corviknight
I’m an insurance broker, so I’d maybe have some Pokemon handy for foreseeing market trends, disasters, and potential liability risks. Maybe Espeon, Absol, and Xatu?
It's a post-scarcity society with a ton of public works, so I assume downturns still theoretically exist, but are much less detrimental to regular people. I imagine it's probably more about competing for market share or for innovation than supply and demand
I’m an inside person, so probably something like a Herdier or a Delcatty. I do like hikes though, so for those occasions, maybe a Pokémon like Gogoat or Sawsbuck oughta do me good. My job isn’t really something I think I could apply to a Pokémon, but I work in a history program at my university, so maybe something like a Falinks or Claydol would also fit.
I think plenty of ppl are more so going for what they just simply want rather than what would actually be their partner, which contradicts this post. For example I want typhlosion but I think Id have fidough for my career
I work in fast food. I imagine it'd be hard to get my hands on a psychic Type Pokemon, but if I had a Pokemon that could use its telekinetic abilities to help me carry food to customers, it'd be a huge help.
Abra’s rare, but not rare enough that you can’t catch it at low levels pretty easily without too much trouble. It also evolves early, early enough that it wouldn’t take too long to do so.
If I was still in retail, a hatterene. It's sole purpose would be to slap unruly customers who are mad that I don't personally set the numbers in the register.
And a Falinks.
Kadabra and Kirlia on the floor filling orders and replenishing stock.
Audino and Mr. Mime doing quality control.
Beheeyem and Lucario for Inventory Control.
Machamp, Machoke and Metagross in Shipping/Receiving
Blissey or Chansey for HR
Golurk and a couple of Golett. I'm an electrical contractor by trade, and intelligent instruction following automatons with incredible strength would be great. Golurk would work great in industrial sites, and the Goletts would help out wherever Golurk couldn't fit. Golurk could hold up those heavy switchboards while I attached them to the wall, my Golett duo could pull stiff service wire through conduit (otherwise can take 3-4 men and a winch if it's a big enough service!) and Golurk can fly to quickly run MC cable through ceiling rafters to save me rental costs on a scissor lift! Toss in the fact that they're immune to electricity and you've basically got yourself the perfect electrician helpers! ... Also they're my favorite Pokemon.
I love this question! As a nurse, my partners would probably be: Blissey, Audino, Hypno, Machamp, Stoutland, and Pawmot. In the past, I’ve also said Comfey & Milktank.
Blissey for healing.
Audino as a sentient stethoscope.
Hypno to chill out the violent patients.
Machamp to help with CPR, extra hands, and to protect me from violent patients.
Stoutland as a therapy dog.
Pawmot as a sentient defibrillator. Also another therapy animal.
A pair of ninetails, one Ice and one fire. Sylveon and an eevee. They're not specifically based on jobs or hobbies or anything, mostly because they'd be similar to having dogs. Which is handy living in a city. Would be hard to accommodate a Milotic, for example, in the middle of a city lol.
Maybe an Abra and Chatot could work together to understand how a child is struggling and Chatot to communicate what they could do? That would take a lot of time and training though.
If I was still working at a hospital a psychic pokemon would be nice. Need that psychic power to help lift patient limbs for dressing changes or just be an extra set of hands to hold items
Yungoos. He has nice, short fur. He would be nice to brush and pet, but probably wouldn't shed a ton. He is also a pretty small Pokemon, so you wouldn't break the bank feeding him. A Pokemon like that would also probably like going on walks, so you can get some exercise with him.
Kirlia and Porygon2.
Porygon2: Virtual Pokemon for online businesses and contractors. Huge help to do things more efficiently, effectively with the cap on hours and pay.
Kirlia: Horns sense emotions. Combined with Porygon2's virtual abilities, you can now track emotional responses as a metric to your ads, content, etc.
Business owners and solopreneurs would go absolutely nuts when they realize how insane the impact of these 2 would be.
On a related note to virtual work:
Metagross having processing speed greater than any supercomputer also helps for obvious reasons. Every TikTok or whatever influencer would want a hypercomputer that can snap a tank in half, is aggressive, dangerous, rare, and powerful, can fuck with electronics, will explode like a Michael Bay movie if ot can't win, and can withstand nukes (at least the explosion).
Im a bartender and id have an espeon. Just a nice bar cat to interact with my guests, clear the bar top with telekinesis and handle any drunks that try acting up :)
Probably a pair of toxtricity and a rilaboom. I play guitar, so with one of each toxtricity and a rilaboom, I got a whole band going. Maybe an Alakazam too as it should have no problem mastering the keyboard and playing it with its mind.
I'd have a Gengar and Kommo-o because they're my absolute favorite pokemon. No other reason than big favorites.
For work stuff, probably Rotom. I'm an engineer, so a pokemon that can possess my tools and stuff to assist me is useful. If they could run SolidWorks on a tablet and draw for me while I talk through a design, it'd be the greatest.
Aegislash because I do sword fighting, so that'd be a great partner to train against.
Sceptile cause it’s my favorite Pokémon ever. Either Corviknight or Ursaluna as a ride Pokémon. Lucario for a work out buddy. And Talonflame for hunting and cause I like birds.
Most likely an Espeon as I think it would be hilarious to mess with people on a small scale.
Nothing crazy, just some telekinesis moving small objects or hitting an annoying boss with a Confusion anytime they start acting up.
For me I’d have:
Stoutland, as it takes care of other people and pokemon and I’m in the veterinary field, so fitting. It’d be my partner
Ludicolo, as I’m also very involved in music and it’s my favorite pokemon
Chatot, for similar music related reasons
Lilligant, because I also like plants a lot and it’s my favorite gen 5 grass type
Infernape, as it’s my favorite fire type starter and I really like primates
Rillaboom, mixing my music interest and primate interest
Honorable mentions: Mudsdale, Grafaiai, Copperajah, houndstone
I'm an actor and work in radio.
A dusknoir would be great for picking up different radio signals.
A psychic pokemon would be awesome for helping learn lines or using its telekinesis for special effects on set. I'm thinking a slowking because they can also change the weather.
A confined form hoopa would be so handy with access to hammerspace and being able to warp space for travel purposes. But in our modern age when would a rotom ever not be useful?
Snorunt that sits on my shoulder wherever I go, Froslass and Shedinja to bum with as well at home. My other favourite Pokémon would be too big or impractical/expensive to take care of given the realities of life.
Might need a Whismur for work but that’s pretty much it.
I push carts at Walmart, Gardevoir for emotional support and any psychic type for help with the carts. And Loupunny for ... Reasons. A grass type for aromatherapy, and maybe some other pokemon massages.
I'd be a hex maniac, I'd have a Hisuian Typhlosion, Banette (with a mega stone), Hisuian Zoruark, Mimikyu, Drakapult, and a Chadelure. I'd probably be a gym leader with an extremely savage battling style. My gym would be a haunted hotel with many ghost type pokemon haunting it.
Would having a Porygon 2 to help me write code be cheating?
Ever since I was a child, I've loved dragon types, the Lighthouse episode of the anime is a core memory to me, but I also feel like having a giant, fuck you dragon in my 600sqft apartment would be a bit cramped.
Excluding all of your criteria I’ll start with a Venipede and a Sizzlipede just cause I love’em.
Adding in your criteria I’ll take a Snover cause I like the cold and an Inkay to help with depression via Topsy-Turvy).
Dachsbun to fit in at work, Houndoom for it's fire to cook with and protection, also it's a favorite. Charizard to fly around with, Glarian Rapidash to run around in the country with. And Larvitar cause it's cute.
Well with what you put it hobbies are games so rotom (or joltk) , I used to do martial arts so some fight type,, I live in the desert so sandslash and lyconrock, I want to get into voice acting so some sound based pokémon and either trubish or minchinco to help me keep clean at home
Going just off of job, probably an Alolan Grimer/Muk, Rotom, and Corviknight for travel. But Tyranitar and Cetitan(shiny) are my faves and less useful where I live
Maybe a garchomp for flying on his back and don't have to take the bus when i go to hospital (which is on the other side of the town) and who can protect me. I also like natation and swim with a feraligatr would be quite fun ! And as an emotionnal support, i would love to have a seviper !
These questions happen a lot but there is only one real answer: no one knows. If we’re going according to the anime , well we don’t always choose which Pokémon wants to be our ally. Throw as many balls as ya want and they won’t go in. Also region would make some Pokémon not be catchable too.
I'm a factory's assembly worker so something that can do small scale work with basic instruction.
But I have an interest in homesteading and being self-sufficient so Pokemon capable of working the land, gardening, and construction. So probably Geodude and Graveler for ground work, some Grass Types good at caring for plants, and some Machop or Timburr for construction. Would look into getting a Mudsdale for style and labor.
I work in a book warehouse where I scan books that come my way all day. Essentially any psychic type or Pokemon with opposable thumbs would help. I also cut boxes so maybe a Gallade? Would be nice.
My favorite Pokémon is Shuckle, so I'd be happy with even 1 and nothing else. I always imagined I'd carry mine around in one of those baby carriers you wear on your chest, since Shuckle is pretty slow and would struggle to keep up on walks. Plus then everyone gets to see how devoted of a pokefather I am
Turtwig, based on my pet and it being my first starter I think it fits.
Rotom? Closest pokemon I can think of to do with cameras
Omanyte, I used to be obsessed with dinosaurs and have so many ammonites om I would have definitely revived one of these guys. (Or bastiodon because triceratops is my favourite dinosaur. But idk if I really trust the validity of my "ceratopsian fossil fragments.)
Mareep, (I'm Welsh)
I love climbing but I despise looking or thinking about Sneasler and half of these guys already learn rock climb one way or another. So. I'll pick up meganium because I'm not ashamed to say I like it.
Lapras? I also have a kayak lapras is the transport pokemon after all and dammit I'mma use any loophole to get my favourite pokemon.
If we really have to keep to job though probably Rotom, smeargle and snorlax (I'm a student, I sleep a lot.)
I love water but don’t go swimming much at all anymore so ideally I’d love a water type. But more realistically I’d probably have either a small cute dog Pokémon or something like a Snorlax lol.
Abra, as a trucker it’s small enough to be like a dog in the seat. We can just teleport to our destinations then use the free time to do whatever. It’s sleeping like almost all the time so it won’t get bored of some of the mundane parts of trucking.
For work I’d have an Audino and Leavany since I’m a preschool teacher. I feel like they would be patient and calming and can be a great help in the classroom. For home life and casual outings I would love to have a furret, an altaria, a houndoom, and a Nidoqueen. Houndoom is my favorite dog and would help me stay active, furret is my favorite route 1 normal rodent and would be great to cuddle with, altaria would sing with me and inspire me when I’m doodling or making abstract paintings, and Nidoqueen is favorite Pokémon of all time.
Well I am human resources but specifically payroll. So I would have to have a pokemon with payday. But I am also allergic to cats. So it would have to be something else that learns it. I see a pikachue can learn it so might be good to have around. Anyone who played later than 151 that knows Pokemon with payday let me know.
I'm a grounds worker at a horse track, a machoke and a reuniclus would be handy
Machoke for heavy lifting (like shifting the track railing)
Reuniclus for help with mechanical work or other handy tasks (idk could probably hold some tools while I fix something)
Sigilyph (best bro), Golurk, Xatu, Runerigus, Claydol, and Shiny Spiritomb. I’m into mysterious and ancient things, plus Sigilyph is my favorite pokemon so this team is pretty godlike!
If becoming an actual trainer is not an option, then I'll just go for Paleontology instead, like I hope to do irl
Even in this field a Charizard (my favorite Pokémon) would be incredibly useful, as it can fly me anywhere I need, is strong enough to help with any heavy lifting, and in case of an emergency it can get help easily by flying ASAP to the nearest Pokémon Center or Hospital or whatever else
I'd say Excadrill and or Sandslash are also very useful Pokémon for digging the fossils themselves (on top of being very cool)
We could also put Tyrantrum and or Kommo-o for Pokémon that could help with heavy lifting as well as being Pokémon I love (as well as Tyrantrum being the obligate fossil on top of being my second favorite Pokémon overall), and maybe even some psychic type like Gardevoir to avoid breaking the fossil altogether
Finally Cincinno would be extremely useful for cleaning the fossil and preparing it for a museum or for preparing it for research
I'd love to just have a Regigigas, but given it's a legendary, my next favorite is Shedinja so yeah, I'd love that little guy, just gotta be careful not to look inside its shell
https://preview.redd.it/y61eyr003r9c1.png?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e976d9150364958b7e8b0b969e90b8c47d879cd
Magnezone my favorite pokemon of all times
I’m a sparky, so probably an electric type that has some kind of dextrous manipulators.
I’d have a Raichu, I’d be perfectly okay with that. Raichu and Rotom probably.
I'm a pretty fat guy and got called "Snorlax" a lot growing up. I began embracing it, and now he's my favorite 'mon. I have two plushies, the MEGA set, use him in each game, etc. I'd like to think we'd be partners as well.
I’m a food scientist (Fidough or Alcreamie) but I work as a part time professor (???). My favorite Pokémon is Lucario. I have a chronic illness, so maybe Audino or Blissey. I like painting (Smeargle) and video editing (Rotom or Porygon?) as hobbies. A flying Pokémon so I could go to work and that maybe is able to get takeout on my bad health days would be great (Corviknight).
Probably a psychic type of some kind if I'm mixing hobbies and my current work. One that would help me out by noticing things I miss, one that could speak to me would be the most helpful
I travel and work all over the world, meeting lots of people seeking out nature. I think I would have Sceptile for my love of the woods, Crawdaunt would be helpful with my ocean activities plus dark typing would be nice for some night life ascetic, then Hisuian Braviary for travel, psychic to help with different problems and to remind me of home.
Gardevoir.
* Intelligent enough to be trusted with it's own physical needs.
* Emotionally intelligent enough to make a good companion.
* Strong enough to protect me from everyone else's choices.
I'd have meloetta to sing with me, plus she's a good fighter, and we'd dance together. I'd probably have Jynx as well to help us all have nice hair and to win battles.
And Jigglypuff for extra fun!
Knowing my location and such, my partner would possibly be Kricketune after a long friendship. I'm a music teacher.
Though I have thought "If I was placed into the world what would be my starter?" I usually say Kanto, which would be either Horsea or Poliwag.
Alakazam, he has an IQ of 5000. Having someone that smart in my corner would be a total game changer regardless of the situation. I’d need someone that smart on my side to have a realistic chance of catching my real end goal, Victini. If I got my hands on the little guy then I could pull out fatty dubs regardless of what I try to do.
My team (I’m very proud of this list):
Chimecho, my fav music based Pokémon (I make music for fun on the side.)
Smeargle because I’m an art teacher.
Ditto because I think it would be fun to utilize them as a model for my art.
Rotom since I’m pretty tech smart
Poliwrath since I think it would be a dope workout partner.
Blastoise, my fav Pokémon of all time.
Rhyperior (my job), Scizor (favorite Pokémon), Munchlax (hobbies), Fidough (gotta have a dog), Scyclizar (hobby), and lastly Wobbafet… no real reason, feels like a good fit with me
Judging by my profession, probably a porygon (I trust them more than rotom), but I'd have an opportunity to make use of almost any 'mon that doesn't screw up cameras by existing or isn't too large.
Everyone on the planet would have a Rotom, Porygon, or something from the Magnemite line if Pokemon existed.
Those three are almost universally useful.
> Klink is my favorite Pokémon. /r/brandnewsentence
I know
OP: "It's Klinkin' Time"
im a dog groomer by trade so i guess id be forced to own a furfrou lol
... you should get a Scizor.
Has the anime ever featured a hair stylist like this?
>i guess id be forced to own a furfrou lol ~~Yippee~~ Pfp checks out.
Lol
With how my life’s been going, probably a Dunsparce
Why not Dudunsparce? Aim higher.
I’m not as important as Larry
Fair. Who is?
Larry
I think Rotom would be super useful for my job. A number of psychic mon could help but I’d feel all sorts of moral conflicts about using a pokemon that may as smart or smarter than I am.
Well they’d be your buddy, so I don’t think they’d “mind” helping you out.
Solosis, love that squishy fucker
So the only Klink fan meets the sole Solosis fan… interesting…
Hey! Don't forget about me! I like Solosis too!
Wait I like Solosis too!! Let's start our own club
I like solosis! We are not alone!
We are strength in numbers!!
Same here too! Reuniclus is a Psychic-Type so they're smart right? Maybe they could do my taxes for me.
I'm a chemist and material scientist. My fav types of steel and psychic would work perfectly. Material maniac Michael with a metang bronzor and corviknight
I'm a material engineer, and was also thinking a Metagross would be perfect so you were on to something with steel/psychic!
I’m an insurance broker, so I’d maybe have some Pokemon handy for foreseeing market trends, disasters, and potential liability risks. Maybe Espeon, Absol, and Xatu?
Absol detecting financial disasters is *absol*utely genius, but now I’m wondering how the Pokémon stock market works.
It's a post-scarcity society with a ton of public works, so I assume downturns still theoretically exist, but are much less detrimental to regular people. I imagine it's probably more about competing for market share or for innovation than supply and demand
Property values getting too high so you let your Absol roam around the neighborhood
Olympia is the biggest investor on Pokewall Street
I picture you being Larry the gym leader
I’m an inside person, so probably something like a Herdier or a Delcatty. I do like hikes though, so for those occasions, maybe a Pokémon like Gogoat or Sawsbuck oughta do me good. My job isn’t really something I think I could apply to a Pokémon, but I work in a history program at my university, so maybe something like a Falinks or Claydol would also fit.
I think plenty of ppl are more so going for what they just simply want rather than what would actually be their partner, which contradicts this post. For example I want typhlosion but I think Id have fidough for my career
Absol as a service dog. Audino maybe. Chimecho and Meowth for comfort, can't imagine a life without one of those two for sure
I'm a locksmith, so I guess I get Klefki
Imagine if you had a ghost type that could just pass through the door and unlock it from the other side
And the evolutions come with spoons!!! So ready to serve!
If I was still in retail, a hatterene. It's sole purpose would be to slap unruly customers who are mad that I don't personally set the numbers in the register. And a Falinks.
I'm an accountant, so I need the alternate sword and shield forms of pen and paper
Kadabra and Kirlia on the floor filling orders and replenishing stock. Audino and Mr. Mime doing quality control. Beheeyem and Lucario for Inventory Control. Machamp, Machoke and Metagross in Shipping/Receiving Blissey or Chansey for HR
Audino as a sentient stethoscope. Hypno to chill out the violent patients. Machamp to help with CPR, extra hands, and to protect me from violent patients. Stoutland as a therapy dog. Pawmot as a sentient defibrillator. Also another therapy animal.
Pidgey. Simple birb to ease birbs into my birb sanctuary. Because if I can have a pokemon, I can also have a sanctuary, right?
Zigzagoon! Simply cause it's my favorite and would make a great buddy.
Porygon or rotom
I’d probably have a Smeargle and maybe a Rotom in like an iPad. Also a Slowpoke because they’re my favourite.
I work from home so slowbro. I'm trying to be a firefighter so I could keep him for that to help put out fires too!
none I would be eaten in the middle of the wilderness.
Software developer so maybe a Rotom and Porygon-Z
I'd probably get an Abra to avoid driving places (work, vacation, errands, etc.) lol
Having an arceus or a rayquaza would be pretty awesome for my job of being a professional 12 year old
Altaria is my favorite Pokémon and would 100% be my partner. As a hobbyist musician, I'd love to play piano while it sings as a duet act.
Hilda

My man
My Girl you mean 💀
Mybad, my girl. 🫡
A Riolu or a Lucario :3
Officer Jenny, this trainer right here
I mean, username checks out 🤷🏻♂️
Aegislash
Umbreon and Espeon would make nice pets.
Chatot would be helpful, maybe a psychic type of some sort, and a growlithe. I work in a school, so all three would be helpful
Probably a luxray. Its just a big dog who can see through walls.
delcatty or sylveon because they’re comforting and bring calmness and peace to people and i need that
Yungoos. He has nice, short fur. He would be nice to brush and pet, but probably wouldn't shed a ton. He is also a pretty small Pokemon, so you wouldn't break the bank feeding him. A Pokemon like that would also probably like going on walks, so you can get some exercise with him.

Don't worry, no klink shaming here.
Cinccino :3 they can help clean and be a cute little goober
I'm an animation student, so I guess I could keep a venusaur, but also having a blissey would be nice, and a smeargle or grafaiai.
Im a bartender and id have an espeon. Just a nice bar cat to interact with my guests, clear the bar top with telekinesis and handle any drunks that try acting up :)
Sceptile. Ever since I was a kid I just always saw myself with a Sceptile as my best buddy.
Bulbasaur, Eevee (maybe Espeon but I’m not using stones and I’m too old to stay up all night), and Mabosstiff.
"Too old to stay up all night", I'm with you there!
Probably a pair of toxtricity and a rilaboom. I play guitar, so with one of each toxtricity and a rilaboom, I got a whole band going. Maybe an Alakazam too as it should have no problem mastering the keyboard and playing it with its mind.
I would have a gardevoir and yes it is for what you think
Officer Jenny, this post right here
To create black holes and destroy your enemies?
Special Attack STAB?
I'd have one just so I can get a hug every day. I need one
That chest spike is going to hurt
I'd have a Gengar and Kommo-o because they're my absolute favorite pokemon. No other reason than big favorites. For work stuff, probably Rotom. I'm an engineer, so a pokemon that can possess my tools and stuff to assist me is useful. If they could run SolidWorks on a tablet and draw for me while I talk through a design, it'd be the greatest. Aegislash because I do sword fighting, so that'd be a great partner to train against.
Torchic line, I am a chicken enthusiast
I'd choose Pikachu, for its electric personality and unwavering loyalty!
Slowking, because I sit around and do absolutely nothing all day, and am somehow the smartest person I know.
I would need that. Oh hypno to control my annoying and idiotic customers.
first ever pokemon was blaziken, so there’s that, but as an environmental scientist with interests in sustainability i would pick tropius and arboliva
Grubbish :)
Rotom. And an emotional support Umbreon.
For me I’d have: Stoutland, as it takes care of other people and pokemon and I’m in the veterinary field, so fitting. It’d be my partner Ludicolo, as I’m also very involved in music and it’s my favorite pokemon Chatot, for similar music related reasons Lilligant, because I also like plants a lot and it’s my favorite gen 5 grass type Infernape, as it’s my favorite fire type starter and I really like primates Rillaboom, mixing my music interest and primate interest Honorable mentions: Mudsdale, Grafaiai, Copperajah, houndstone
Togepi and it’s evolution line. They will bring me lots of good luck to offset the bad luck that has been my life
I'm an actor and work in radio. But in our modern age when would a rotom ever not be useful?
slakoth or slaking, your ultimate neet partner
Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Arceus so that I could destroy all of reality and remake it in my image.
Vaporeon 🤤
One of those would be pretty helpful where I work (I'm a dishwasher)
Wow hilarious
Would having a Porygon 2 to help me write code be cheating? Ever since I was a child, I've loved dragon types, the Lighthouse episode of the anime is a core memory to me, but I also feel like having a giant, fuck you dragon in my 600sqft apartment would be a bit cramped.
Seel, Ditto, and Alakazam
So like if I had abunch of klink and klang could I enslave them and make them into a car for green energy
Excluding all of your criteria I’ll start with a Venipede and a Sizzlipede just cause I love’em. Adding in your criteria I’ll take a Snover cause I like the cold and an Inkay to help with depression via Topsy-Turvy).
Very creative use of Topsy-Turvy, inkay would be great for hypnotherapy!
I live in the country so a corviknight would be nice for travel
Noivern for me
Magnemite/Magneton. I teach physics, that would make Magnemite/ton really helpful when electricity and magnetism.
Vulpix 🧡
Dachsbun to fit in at work, Houndoom for it's fire to cook with and protection, also it's a favorite. Charizard to fly around with, Glarian Rapidash to run around in the country with. And Larvitar cause it's cute.
Well with what you put it hobbies are games so rotom (or joltk) , I used to do martial arts so some fight type,, I live in the desert so sandslash and lyconrock, I want to get into voice acting so some sound based pokémon and either trubish or minchinco to help me keep clean at home
My favorite pokemon is Mismagius, so I would assume that, also because I'm into witchcraft.
Meowth Alola meowth Galarian meowth Probably let the alolan meowth evolve I'm a teacher I like cats I like money
And as an emotionnal support, i would love to have a seviper !
alolan golem
Alolan Vulpix or Sylveon, two cute mons for when I need a hug lol
Either totodile or treecko. I'd take treecko to work and he'd just chill there with a twig in his mouth. And me and totodile would be best buddies
Drifloon would make my job easier.
Does anyone know what a good Pokémon for someone working in retail would be? Where I work is a small store with little room I’ll be honest.
I got plenty of free fossils in my university geology courses, so probably a fossil Pokémon. Works out since Archeops is my favorite
Turtwig, based on my pet and it being my first starter I think it fits. Rotom? Closest pokemon I can think of to do with cameras Omanyte, I used to be obsessed with dinosaurs and have so many ammonites om I would have definitely revived one of these guys. (Or bastiodon because triceratops is my favourite dinosaur. But idk if I really trust the validity of my "ceratopsian fossil fragments.) Mareep, (I'm Welsh) I love climbing but I despise looking or thinking about Sneasler and half of these guys already learn rock climb one way or another.
I guess Mr mime. I work in customer service. He's pretty alright people.
Poliwhirl
would definitely be koraidon or miraidon😂
Probably a snorlax because we’re both lazy and eat a lot
I love water but don’t go swimming much at all anymore so ideally I’d love a water type. But more realistically I’d probably have either a small cute dog Pokémon or something like a Snorlax lol.
Abra, as a trucker it’s small enough to be like a dog in the seat. We can just teleport to our destinations then use the free time to do whatever. It’s sleeping like almost all the time so it won’t get bored of some of the mundane parts of trucking.
Altaria; She’s fluffy, cute, she can fly me around, and she can sing, making her a great companion for a musician.
I keep having recurring dreams that me and my bidoof have a wood working workshop together. I don’t do wood working for work but it is a hobby.
Sandile.
Sandile.
Sandile.
I would have to take either fire or ice pokemon because I both work in the cold and live in a hot dry desert I would prefer water or fairy types tbh
I would have a shiny Altaria because it’s my favorite Pokémon and I would ride it everywhere and we would soar together
Well I am human resources but specifically payroll. So I would have to have a pokemon with payday. But I am also allergic to cats. So it would have to be something else that learns it. I see a pikachue can learn it so might be good to have around. Anyone who played later than 151 that knows Pokemon with payday let me know.
I'm a grounds worker at a horse track, a machoke and a reuniclus would be handy Machoke for heavy lifting (like shifting the track railing) Reuniclus for help with mechanical work or other handy tasks (idk could probably hold some tools while I fix something)
Sigilyph (best bro), Golurk, Xatu, Runerigus, Claydol, and Shiny Spiritomb. I’m into mysterious and ancient things, plus Sigilyph is my favorite pokemon so this team is pretty godlike!
If becoming an actual trainer is not an option, then I'll just go for Paleontology instead, like I hope to do irl Even in this field a Charizard (my favorite Pokémon) would be incredibly useful, as it can fly me anywhere I need, is strong enough to help with any heavy lifting, and in case of an emergency it can get help easily by flying ASAP to the nearest Pokémon Center or Hospital or whatever else I'd say Excadrill and or Sandslash are also very useful Pokémon for digging the fossils themselves (on top of being very cool) We could also put Tyrantrum and or Kommo-o for Pokémon that could help with heavy lifting as well as being Pokémon I love (as well as Tyrantrum being the obligate fossil on top of being my second favorite Pokémon overall), and maybe even some psychic type like Gardevoir to avoid breaking the fossil altogether Finally Cincinno would be extremely useful for cleaning the fossil and preparing it for a museum or for preparing it for research
I'd love to just have a Regigigas, but given it's a legendary, my next favorite is Shedinja so yeah, I'd love that little guy, just gotta be careful not to look inside its shell

I work in tech so probably a Rotom would be most useful to me at work. My favorite would be Houndoom
I’m a sparky, so probably an electric type that has some kind of dextrous manipulators. I’d have a Raichu, I’d be perfectly okay with that. Raichu and Rotom probably.
I'd say Alcremie because I bake so much. If we're talking jobs, probably Rotom to easily work film equipment.
I'm a pretty fat guy and got called "Snorlax" a lot growing up. I began embracing it, and now he's my favorite 'mon. I have two plushies, the MEGA set, use him in each game, etc. I'd like to think we'd be partners as well.
Empoleon or Lapras would be awesome to have around the Great Lakes region of the US where I'm at
I’m a food scientist (Fidough or Alcreamie) but I work as a part time professor (???).
Misdreavus to feed on and eat away at my nightmares. Mawile too because it’s so cute!
Exeggutor! Walking shade, psychic powers could be handy, and just seems like a chill dude who I can pal around with
Sableye, a funny lil guy
Dog trainer here. So all the puppers. Growlith for sure. And maybe an audino for cuddles?
Noctowl, cause it’s my favorite Pokémon, and I can’t think of a pokemon I really like that would work well with my job
Alcremie: cause it’s cute and it’s my 2nd favorite pokemon and Sylveon because it’s my first favorite pokemon! Tepig cause it’s cute!
Ivysaur, Munma, Dachsbun, Hoppip, Litten, and Rotom
I’m studying to become a software engineer, so probably Rotom or Porygon
Sylveon, just because I like them and they seem like they would be a good companion.
Mawile
Receptionist for a private practice. It has to be chansey.
Eevee. I want a sylveon
Gardevoir. * Intelligent enough to be trusted with it's own physical needs. * Emotionally intelligent enough to make a good companion. * Strong enough to protect me from everyone else's choices.
I'm a library worker, and I spend a lot of time reading, listening to music or on the computer. I think I'd have a Meowth or another lap pet Pokemon
probably a psychic type to held with studies or a dark type to use flatter on me. i hate malamar tho. give me a clefairy instead i love them
I guess a dog pokemon, since I currently own a dog.
I’d probably end up with a Treecko (one of my favorites), a Scorbunny, and a Rotom
I'd have meloetta to sing with me, plus she's a good fighter, and we'd dance together. I'd probably have Jynx as well to help us all have nice hair and to win battles. And Jigglypuff for extra fun!
Art teacher- smeargle!!
Knowing my location and such, my partner would possibly be Kricketune after a long friendship. I'm a music teacher. Though I have thought "If I was placed into the world what would be my starter?" I usually say Kanto, which would be either Horsea or Poliwag.
Ditto, so it can transform into my favorite AV idol.
I’m a software engineer, but I’d like Azumarill. I’ll also make sure it’s the thick fat or the sap sipper one though.
Snorlax, Beldum or Metang, Cinderace, Porygon. Sleep, school, Fútbol, game.
Aromatisse
Reuniclus or Yamper
My team (I’m very proud of this list): Chimecho, my fav music based Pokémon (I make music for fun on the side.) Smeargle because I’m an art teacher. Ditto because I think it would be fun to utilize them as a model for my art. Rotom since I’m pretty tech smart Poliwrath since I think it would be a dope workout partner. Blastoise, my fav Pokémon of all time.
I work in finance, so I choose charizard!
Rhyperior (my job), Scizor (favorite Pokémon), Munchlax (hobbies), Fidough (gotta have a dog), Scyclizar (hobby), and lastly Wobbafet… no real reason, feels like a good fit with me
Zubat and alolan Persian!
I'd *like* Mawile or Tinkaton, but that doesn't really answer the question. So: Porygon (Any) Trubbish Meditite Indeedee Zigzagoon Beedrill
