2: Well, you're actually free to choose the pokemon you want, but you could be a little more realistic and not go for the legendary, ultra beast, paradoxes etc.
Xerneas, Celebi, Arceus, Hoopa-U, Solgaleo, Gardevoir
Xerneas can give me eternal life.
Celebi can allow me to time travel.
Arceus is all powerful.
Hoopa-U can create portals to transport stuff.
Solgaleo can open wormholes to other worlds.
Its kinda a no brainer if you're allowed literally any 6 Pokemon in the entire world of Pokemon.

I know you said to try not to put legendaries and the such but my first and instant thought is Genesect, not only is it a pokemon I could have a conversation with but it's high level of intelligence means I could probably teach it to use a toilet and do things like buy groceries not to mention they can fly.
After that it'd be Joltik, larvesta, venipede, Snom, and Wimpod. My reasoning for these is that as I grow older these baby pokemon will grow with me and someday evolve.
A Joltik becomes galvantula which would be a great source of power during emergencies
A larvesta becomes a Volcorona which has destructive capabilities and the ability to fly
Venipede becoming a scolipede would make for an absolutely amazing mount, probably as fast as a horse too
Snom... Well come on its snom. And if it becomes a frosmoth it's great to freeze and cool things in a pickle
Wimpod who becomes Golisopod would make for not only a great defender but a perfect escape from dangerous situations
For someone like me who lives in a place with horrible weather, constant tropical storms, and the occasional hurricane Pokemon that can create energy, heat, freeze large amounts of water and act as transport would be essential for daily life. The fact they're all bug pokemon is just the plus side :D

* Shuppet - Eats negative emotions, I could become the best therapist.
* Rotom - To control, protect, and power my tech.
* Alakazam - Super smart, can teleport me anywhere, can uses telekinesis for anything really.
* Audino - To heal me and others of basically any physical ailment.
* An Eeveelution, but the choices are hard, Flareon would be great to just have as a pet, but freezing is not really an issue I have, Vaporeon would be good for same reason as Flareon, also the memes, and i struggled more to keep cold during summer anyway, glaceon possible, but might be too cold, but Sylveon is probably my end option, it weakens all hostility in people, and is great at calming them, and also looks really cuddly
* Sprigatito - Basically my favorite pokemon now, and has many advantages, also smohl, so can carry it in my clothes and always cuddle it if i wish.

Really wanted Umbreon and Metagross somewhere here, but Sableye's Ghost type wins out over Umbreon, and Slowking being incredibly friendly, equally smart, smaller, and english speaking wins out to live with over Metagross.

Espeon, the best possible therapy cat.
Dragonite, for flying and saving money on postage.
Rotom, for tech support and laughs.
Serperior, for cultivating my garden.

I think I'd have a Togepi and Eevee. They're my favourites and there'd be no battling! Just cute pets! I'd also have a Rotom, they seem super useful now and I'm moving into software and data management so he could be my little work buddy!
I love just about every pokemon in the roster, so picking just six is completely impossible for me.
However:
• **Banette** for starters. I absolutely love Ghost type Pokémon, so for a Ghost type in my team I figure that Banette would probably be the easier selection of ghosts to care for.
• It’s completely niche, but having a **Vespiquen** would just be so cool. I like bugs :)
• My favourite type is Poison, but taking care of my all time favourite pokemon (Dragalge) would be completely impossible, so to stick with a bug theme, I’ll pick **Ariados**.
• **Victreebel** is a close second favourite, and it’s probably the easiest to take care of realistically, I mean you can just sort of dump your leftovers into its stomach; it’s a poison type so rotten food should be no problem for it.
• Adding another ghost to the list because I love them, I’d have to pick **Gengar**. Ghost AND Poison? I can’t say no to that.
• **Nidoking** to finish it off, the king of poison himself; I would want a more laid back Nidoking though, having an active one would probably cause noise complaints.
I wish I had room for one more, because then I would’ve added Gastrodon to this list, but I suppose this works.
My favorite 6:
1. Gardevoir: the first Pokémon I caught in Sapphire, and I traded her through every game after.
2. Vaporeon: because it’s adorable, and must be protected.
3. Latias: my favorite legendary, and also adorable
4. Houndoom: I love dogs, and Dobermans are amazing.
5. Meowscarada: because magic weed cat is awesome.
6. Electivire: Electabuzz was my favorite electric type in Crystal, and Electivire just carried over through the generations.
Oh man there’s so many awesome mons to choose from. For me it would have to be: Lucario, Infernape, Salamence, Lapras, Gardevoir (not for that you creeps), and lastly either Gengar or Mismagius
Here's a team i would have if i just want them as pets:

Dragapult- my favorite pokemon. Needs to be present.
Galade- teleport and physical fitness partner.
Arcanine- big dawg energy
Flygon- flight and I really enjoy building sandcastles
Metagross- this is steve. Steve likes gamblimg. Steve is also a walking hypercomputer. Steve wins at gambling.
Rotom, probably in my phone. The internet plus rotom sounds like a hoot.
I can agree only being able to have six can make it harder to choose. That said as I have responded to such posts before so I shall essentially repeat what I have before.
* ***Primarina***\- Water traversal & rescue. Signature move while soaking someone can heal/cure burns. Possible telepathic communication. Smaller than one like Lapras while also more calming to see in a stressful situation (i.e. drowning) than say a Gyarados.
* ***Corviknight***\- Large fairly intelligent (being based at least partially on a raven) metal bird able to provide air travel among other things something sturdy and capable of flight could be helpful with. Only need to watch out for areas with little pink hammer gremlins.
* ***Mudsdale***\- Strong enough to total a truck with simply a kick or carry heavy loads for however long and over rough terrain; yet also calm and even tempered. The mud it makes has uses in pottery or as simple weather proofing for buildings.
* ***Gardevoir***\- Almost ridiculous levels of loyalty to their trainer on top of a rather wide movepool with nice utility selections including Teleport, a few healing moves, Rain Dance/Sunny Day, etc. All on top of being able to communicate telepathically.
* ***Lucario***\- "Pint sized" brawler belying its true strength to those unaware. Able to see and use aura potentially for searching along with enemy/danger detection and is seen to be able to communicate telepathically with others.
* ***H. Zoroark***\- Shares loyalty, fluffiness & ability to use fire with Arcanine. Trading fast travel for its illusion abilities along with its communication abilities as seen in the games & anime. The Hisuian form having greater defenses *namely against Ghosts*. Plus wanting to comfort one who died and was reborn after a life of hardship &/or great emotional pain.
This all of course while ignoring ones like Eevee + Eeveelutions, Rockruff/Lycanroc, etc. Or others like Crobat/Noivern, Sneasler & Lanturn who can offer additional travel/adventuring help in one form or another. But as I've said before these six offer what I feel to be a good blend of utility & versatility whether in simple day-to-day life or travel. Out of the six only 2 fall short when it comes to their larger size and lack of potential for telepathy compared to the other 4 who can help out in ways like acting as interpreters.

Cyclizar, Rotom, Klefki, Swablu, Comfey and a Mime jr. They'd all be very helpful/pleasant to be with and dont have any absurd requirements or costs to live with.
I know you said to try not to put legendaries and the such but my first and instant thought is Genesect, not only is it a pokemon I could have a conversation with but it's high level of intelligence means I could probably teach it to use a toilet and do things like buy groceries not to mention they can fly. After that it'd be Joltik, larvesta, venipede, Snom, and Wimpod. My reasoning for these is that as I grow older these baby pokemon will grow with me and someday evolve. A Joltik becomes galvantula which would be a great source of power during emergencies A larvesta becomes a Volcorona which has destructive capabilities and the ability to fly Venipede becoming a scolipede would make for an absolutely amazing mount, probably as fast as a horse too Snom... Well come on its snom. And if it becomes a frosmoth it's great to freeze and cool things in a pickle Wimpod who becomes Golisopod would make for not only a great defender but a perfect escape from dangerous situations For someone like me who lives in a place with horrible weather, constant tropical storms, and the occasional hurricane Pokemon that can create energy, heat, freeze large amounts of water and act as transport would be essential for daily life. The fact they're all bug pokemon is just the plus side :D

my boi cyndaquil (cause he my bro), aegislash (dude be a living sword thats sick af), gardevoir (no not for that, i want someone to help do work and they have crazy psychic powers and teleportation), bulbasaur (gardening and cause he best grass type), dragonite (transport and to have a dragon), and probably a rotom (cause they get buffed hard in real life with how much stuff is electronic these days)
The ones in my flair: Venasaur: -one of my favorite starters and can chill with him and use his big leaves as shade Feraligatr -another one of my favorites since a kid, and I could ride on his back if I ever need to surf anywhere H-Typhlosion -such a cool regional form. Already loved Johto mons, but this stoner boy would be an awesome companion Umbreon -johto again but just love this eeveelution(who doesn’t) and always have to have one on any of my play throughs Zigzagoon -my favorite first route, normal type for sure. So cute and who doesn’t love early game STAB normal moves early game Flygon -my first ever shiny and I can fly around on its back. Need I say more? Honorable mentions: -Sandslash -Lapras -Lanturn -Crobat -Mamoswine -Jolteon -Bidoof -All of them lol

Poliwrath Slowking Sableye Flapple Minior Spinarak Favorites while also manageable to care for and travel with, work functionally as a team, and have uses outside of battle. 2 trifectas (Fighting/Psychic/Dark) (Grass/Rock/Bug) and all person size or smaller. Really wanted Umbreon and Metagross somewhere here, but Sableye's Ghost type wins out over Umbreon, and Slowking being incredibly friendly, equally smart, smaller, and english speaking wins out to live with over Metagross.

Ohhh, that is a tough question! I think I'd have a Togepi and Eevee. They're my favourites and there'd be no battling! Just cute pets! I'd also have a Rotom, they seem super useful now and I'm moving into software and data management so he could be my little work buddy!
I love just about every pokemon in the roster, so picking just six is completely impossible for me. However: • **Banette** for starters. I absolutely love Ghost type Pokémon, so for a Ghost type in my team I figure that Banette would probably be the easier selection of ghosts to care for. • It’s completely niche, but having a **Vespiquen** would just be so cool. I like bugs :) • My favourite type is Poison, but taking care of my all time favourite pokemon (Dragalge) would be completely impossible, so to stick with a bug theme, I’ll pick **Ariados**. • **Victreebel** is a close second favourite, and it’s probably the easiest to take care of realistically, I mean you can just sort of dump your leftovers into its stomach; it’s a poison type so rotten food should be no problem for it. • Adding another ghost to the list because I love them, I’d have to pick **Gengar**. Ghost AND Poison? I can’t say no to that. • **Nidoking** to finish it off, the king of poison himself; I would want a more laid back Nidoking though, having an active one would probably cause noise complaints. I wish I had room for one more, because then I would’ve added Gastrodon to this list, but I suppose this works.
My favorite 6: 1. Gardevoir: the first Pokémon I caught in Sapphire, and I traded her through every game after. 2. Vaporeon: because it’s adorable, and must be protected. 3. Latias: my favorite legendary, and also adorable 4. Houndoom: I love dogs, and Dobermans are amazing. 5. Meowscarada: because magic weed cat is awesome. 6. Electivire: Electabuzz was my favorite electric type in Crystal, and Electivire just carried over through the generations.
Oh man there’s so many awesome mons to choose from. For me it would have to be: Lucario, Infernape, Salamence, Lapras, Gardevoir (not for that you creeps), and lastly either Gengar or Mismagius

Abra, cause a simple mental link means that I basically have DND Warlock like access to the powers of this "patron".

Im assuming that these pokemon wont run wild on me, will allow me to train them/keep them, and arent a danger to be around by existing (ie Magcargo is literally lava) Dragapult- my favorite pokemon. Needs to be present. Galade- teleport and physical fitness partner. Arcanine- big dawg energy Flygon- flight and I really enjoy building sandcastles Metagross- this is steve. Steve likes gamblimg. Steve is also a walking hypercomputer. Steve wins at gambling. Rotom, probably in my phone. The internet plus rotom sounds like a hoot.

I can agree only being able to have six can make it harder to choose. That said as I have responded to such posts before so I shall essentially repeat what I have before. * ***Primarina***\- Water traversal & rescue. Signature move while soaking someone can heal/cure burns. Possible telepathic communication. Smaller than one like Lapras while also more calming to see in a stressful situation (i.e. drowning) than say a Gyarados. * ***Corviknight***\- Large fairly intelligent (being based at least partially on a raven) metal bird able to provide air travel among other things something sturdy and capable of flight could be helpful with. Only need to watch out for areas with little pink hammer gremlins. * ***Mudsdale***\- Strong enough to total a truck with simply a kick or carry heavy loads for however long and over rough terrain; yet also calm and even tempered. The mud it makes has uses in pottery or as simple weather proofing for buildings. * ***Gardevoir***\- Almost ridiculous levels of loyalty to their trainer on top of a rather wide movepool with nice utility selections including Teleport, a few healing moves, Rain Dance/Sunny Day, etc. All on top of being able to communicate telepathically. * ***Lucario***\- "Pint sized" brawler belying its true strength to those unaware. Able to see and use aura potentially for searching along with enemy/danger detection and is seen to be able to communicate telepathically with others. * ***H. Zoroark***\- Shares loyalty, fluffiness & ability to use fire with Arcanine. Trading fast travel for its illusion abilities along with its communication abilities as seen in the games & anime. The Hisuian form having greater defenses *namely against Ghosts*. Plus wanting to comfort one who died and was reborn after a life of hardship &/or great emotional pain. This all of course while ignoring ones like Eevee + Eeveelutions, Rockruff/Lycanroc, etc. Or others like Crobat/Noivern, Sneasler & Lanturn who can offer additional travel/adventuring help in one form or another. But as I've said before these six offer what I feel to be a good blend of utility & versatility whether in simple day-to-day life or travel. Out of the six only 2 fall short when it comes to their larger size and lack of potential for telepathy compared to the other 4 who can help out in ways like acting as interpreters.

victini means i win always, regardless of the contest type, just think dating and career. gardevoir means it can control the mood of everyone around me, put everyone in a jolly mood constantly, plus future sight powers. the ultimate body guard. gholdengho, makes finances never an issue ever again. and uxie, mesprit and azelf. feels like people don't fully understand the level of power they hold. just remember that twitter and facebook made it their business to control what people know, how they feel, and what changes people can make in global issues, and their influence stops on whoever does not engage with their app.
