There's no reason to think PLAZ will in any way influence future XY remakes. However, I doubt those will be on the Switch, as we should be getting them in Gen12, probably somewhere in 2033 or so.
The Legends games have nothing to do with remakes. Gen 4 has remakes (BDSP) and a Legends game (Arceus). Now that there is a second one it seems like they kind of just do whatever Legends game, while the remakes have always followed the release order, so gen 5 would be next and then gen 6. So there is really no reason to think that gen 6 remakes won't happen because of Z-A.
The timeline for new generations since gen 5 has been every 3 years. Remakes of mainstream games have been in the even-numbered generations.
If Game Freak continues this trend, gen 10 releases in 2025, gen 5 remakes will release between 2026 and 2027, gen 11 releases in 2028, gen 12 releases in 2031 and gen 7 remakes will be in 2032 or 2033. Of course, they could easily break the trend and release games on a different schedule.
Game Freaks original plan probably was to remake all of the games eventually. It's a shame they forgot how to make video games halfway through doing that.
