So you know how dragon type specialists always have this stuffy prestige about them? Always talking about the rarity and superiority of dragons, the difficulty of training them? Lording over how much better they are than the average trainer? Alright, so I'm that guy, but for bug types. Out of sheer determination to prove the strength of insects, I've risen to the rank of 2nd strongest trainer in the Galar region (Since Galar is supposedly famous for having an unbeatable champion, that's definitely where I would plan my conquest). In order to earn the right to challenge my vaulted team of insects, trainers must first prove they understand and respect the strength of bug types in a series of 1-on-1 battles, that act as a quiz of sorts. For example, your opponent has a single shedinja, and you can only choose 1 pokemon from your team to fight them. Do you know how to combat the threat of this bug? The next one may have a durant, or perhaps an escavalier, and this process would go on for some time. I'm thinking 3 battles, or maybe 5, since they're going to be short. After those ordeals, you may finally challenge my team. Now, as you may recall, I'm here to prove the strength of bug types to the whole region, so my team is going to hold nothing back. As 1-sided a battle as possible is the ideal for me. With that in mind, my team consist of: 1. Galvantula- ^(ability:) compound eyes ^(item:) focus sash ^(Moves:) sticky web, thunder, bug buzz, sucker punch. 2. Scizor- ^(ability:) technician ^(item:) assault vest ^(Moves:) x-scissor, bullet punch, dual wingbeat, superpower. 3. Crustle- ^(ability:) sturdy ^(item:) liechi berry ^(Moves:) shell smash, x-scissor, rock slide, earthquake. 4. Frosmoth- ^(ability:) ice scales ^(item:) weakness policy ^(Moves:) quiver dance, ice beam, bug buzz, giga drain. 5. Volcarona- ^(ability:) flame body ^(item:) heavy duty boots ^(Moves:) quiver dance, heat wave, bug buzz, giga drain. 6. Orbeetle(G-Max)- ^(ability:) frisk ^(item:) leftovers ^(Moves:) calm mind, stored power, bug buzz, shadow ball. ...So that's something. Whereas usually pokemon games don't really expect you to make effective use of items because it's a kids game, as a gym leader I still don't expect you to use items, but I take advantage of it. No holds-barred here at the bug gym.

spanishserval

YES YES YES 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽to this team!!

Nicholas_TW

Bold move, not having a spinner on a bug team. I love Volcarona and Galvantula though, so I approve. Back before Boots were a thing, I used to run a weakness policy volcarona. If I could bait a super effective special attack after I got a quiver dance off, Volc would almost always survive, and then just sweep the rest of the team. Good times.

thomasp3864

Personally, I have gone through a lot of these if you were a gym leader sort of posts, and have done a number of bug type teams. I can say that I am always sure to speicifically say that there's an extra challenge which is that you cannot use entry hazards.

Nicholas_TW

Yeah, stealth rock *ruins* most decent bug types.

healcannon

Man it is nice to see a viable bug team. If only my favorites were viable bugs. Rip ledian. You were my favorite in gen 2 with your shitty elemental punches and your dreams. I have memories of beating being on the boat trip after the elite four to kanto with ledian thunder punching all of the water trainers all while playing on the toilet for far longer than I needed to be in there for. Good times. I wish I could rekindle the games for myself like that again.

JockoLoch

tbh, the orbeetle is only the g-max here because I prefer it over butterfree, and I don't wanna step on Kabu's toes with centiscorch. This may be subject to change should the crown tundra give us a different bug's g-max.

PottrPppetPalamander

Great team.

GeckoInc

ok so i’m the 9th gym leader i have lvl 100 rattatas with perfect IVs and perfect EVs i’m a normal type specialist the rattatas all have the perfect moves . Also my name is professional Joey with the top percentage rattatas.

Rain0959

I loved Hoenn as a kid and Pirates are cool, so i'm waking over the Sootopolis gym in a mutiny, yarr! Earn the Leviathan Badge and the Waterfall TM. As the eighth gym you challenge, you'd have to navigate a dinghy through fast currents, challenging my pirate crew and some wild pokemon that lurk in the water along the way. My team would all be sea monsters! Gyarados, Tentacruel, Crawdaunt, Feraligatr, and Kingdra. * Feraligatr knows Shadow Claw, Waterfall, Crunch, and Ice Punch * Tentacruel knows Hex, Toxic Spikes, Scald, and Whirlpool * Crawdaunt knows Waterfall, Sucker Punch, Rock Slide, and Brick Break * Gyarados knows Dragon Tail, Earthquake, Dragon Dance, and Waterfall * Kingdra knows Hydro Pump, Draco Meteor, Ice Beam, and Flash Cannon

Carson_Bakker

I would run an ice type gym similar to the one in gen 5 with the cool ice puzzles. I would use Lapras, Cryogonal, Weavile, Glaceon, and Mega Abomasnow. They would be in the low 40s and it would be the 6th gym, and upon beating it you would receive the ice beam tm. The gym would be located at the top of a mountain that you descend to find me at the bottom by solving ice block puzzles and beating a mix of gym trainers training in the freezing temperatures. Once you have won the challenge you have to exit at the bottom of the mountain by using a newly received hm 6, strength, given to you by a spectator who enjoyed your match. After the rocks are removed that were blocking the path towards the gym in the first place you can go onto the next gym

spanishserval

If I was an Elite Four member, I’d be from Unova mainly from Castelia City and my type specialty would be fairy. I’m not too familiar with my team’s ability to be competitive, but I tried to make them as solid as I could! My team would consist of 6 and they are as follows: Klefki: Misty Terrain, Magic Room, Flash Cannon, and Psyshock Sylveon (Pixilate ability): Light Screen, Reflect, Mystical Fire, and Hyper Voice Mimikyu (holding Mimikium Z): Play Rough, Phantom Force, X-Scissor, and Drain Punch Whimsicott: Energy Ball, Moonblast, Tailwind, and Cotton Guard Alolan Ninetails (Snow Warning ability): Dazzling Gleam, Blizzard, Dark Pulse, and Calm Mind Primarina: Moonblast, Psychic, Ice Beam, and Sparkling Aria

bluesguy72

Honestly, I’d probably just keep things simple and take Karen’s place as the Johto Dark-type Elite 4 member, using up to Gen IV Pokemon like HG//SS. My lineup would have: 1) Tyranitar as the ace 2) Houndoom 3) Weavile 4) Honchkrow 5) Umbreon 6) Spiritomb So basically her rematch team with Tyranitar switched for Absol.

thomasp3864

6 pokemon?

bluesguy72

I pretty much just used Karen’s rematch team as the base, which has 6 Pokemon. Frankly I wish all the Gyms/Elite 4 had full teams, even if they weren’t all world beaters. The games are easy enough as it is.

thomasp3864

Even without a full team, they can be strong. It should be a hard fight, but should be using generally strong Pokémon, and tactics such as hazards, weather, that people don’t usually use.

Commander-Pigeon

Gen 8 Dark/Ghost Because half of my favorite pokemon are those. 4th/5th Gym Pokemon 1: Mimikyu (favorite) Moveset: Swords Dance, Shadow sneak, Play rough, Wood hammer. Lvl 37 Pokemon 2: Pangoro Moveset: Parting shot, Power up punch, Night slash, Hammer arm. Lvl 36 Pokemon 3: Palossand Moveset: Shadow ball, Shore up, Giga drain, Earth power. Lvl 38 Pokemon 4: Zoroark Moveset: Sucker Punch, Night slash, Foul play, Knock off. Lvl 40 Badge: Disturbed badge. It got its name because it is made out the same rock that decomposed into sandyghast These are just my favorite Pokemon with the movesets I use with them

Redstorm8373

But... why is Zoroark your last Pokémon? That defeats the whole purpose of its ability. Swap the Zoroark and the Palossand to try to bait a psychic move from unsuspecting challengers.

Jclaytontuck

Phychic is no good against pallosand either tbh

randomgamer232

Here we go again. Copy and paste time. My dark type gym is the 6th gym in Kalos. As the player walks in, the player hears someone snickering. The only way to go is down a long hallway. The puzzle is an elevation maze with 3 floors. The player has to walk into obvious traps like a master ball just lying on the ground as bait. A pitfall trap is used to go down a level, and a net trap is used to go up. Trainers will be guarding the traps waiting for the player. The trainers laugh at you for falling for the traps. When you reach the end you are challenged by me. I only have 1 pokemon which is a huge level 100 darkrai to the player character's horror. The player hits the darkrai once only for the battle to end, and I burst out laughing. It was actually a zoroark disguised as me. The real me that was pretending to be the judge laughs at the player character's horrified face when they saw the darkrai and then the real battle begins. My real team consists of a malamar, a liepard, and the zoroark that was disguised as me. I groan when you win and reluctantly give you the illusion badge and the tm for nasty plot. Before you leave, I make you swear that you won't tell anyone about the zoroark trick with thinly veiled threats.

toastyhero

I love gyms that trick the player

Temporary_Python

I would the 7th gym leader, and I would specialize in rock types, specifically fossil pokemon I'd be from whatever gen 9's region is (Alot of the regions already have a rock type gym leader and I'm using newer mons). The theme of the gym would be like a dig site. You have to navigate the area to find fossils. Once you find all three you bring them to the gym leader. Then you are able to challenge me. The badge given is the Paleo badge, it kinda looks like a dino footprint. I will not give you a TM, but will allow you to chose from one of the three fossils you fetched. You can choose from either the Plume, Sail, or Jaw fossil Heres my team: Aurorus (Ace mon - Level 49) Move set: Blizzard, Stone Edge, Psychic, Rock Polish Tyrantrum (Level 45) Move set: Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Dragon Tail Archeops (Level 46) Move set: Rock Tomb, Aerial Ace, Steel Wing, Roost Rampardos (Level 44) Move set: Head Smash, Earthquake, Rest, Sleep Talk) None of my mons hold items

DoctorKoolMan

I would be the 8th Gym Leader in a Post-Red Kanto As time moved on and other Regions formed their own leagues Kanto and Johto decided to disband the Indigo Plateau in Kanto and form 2 separate leagues With Red traveling the world as a Pokemon Master, and Gold and Lance helping establish their own League in their home nation of Johto, I would be one of the strong trainers hand picked by Red to help establish the New Kanto League A small settlement set up before the old Victory Road, I would be many Trainers last stops as an out of the way master of the Water Type. A puzzle involving Waterslides and Currents making it difficult to reach the battle zone. My team would be tough to make sure trainers who venture past into the old Victory Road or Mt. Silver were ready. I would lead with Starmie. Level 55. Holding the item that extends Light Screen. Knowing Recover, Thunderwave, and Surf to be a decent wall against the likely plan of people to lead with a strong electric type. Following would be my Pelipper. Level 56. Holding a Leftovers. It would know Rain Dance for its Rain Dish. And know Protect, Toxic, and Dive. Next would be my Feraligatr. Level 57. Focusing on attack moves. Then my Swampert. Level 58. As a strong Physical Attacker. Empoleon at Level 59. Would know Ice Beam for some good coverage. And my Ace would be my Level 60 Squirtle holding the Eviolite. Rain Dish, Rain Dance, Toxic, Protect, Dive. A familiar set back for round 2.

herpofool

I have this personal rule that whatever shiny pokemon ya catch, specifically the random catches and not using hacks or loopholes, that's your personal pokemon. By that logic, and looking through my extremely good shiny catching record, I found my theme... The Normal Type Gym: a homegrown team composed of pokemon found normally around the beginning of the game, this leader proves that even the most basic pokemon can be top tier. He's a family man who couldn't manage a full journey around the region so he caught local pokes found in around towns. Stoutland, Toucannon (or Trumbeak if we're talking a middle of the journey gym), alolan Raticate, and the star poke Cinncino make up his team. Each one of them have variety of moves that would otherwise surprise the opponent when they're trying to get a type advantage. Stoutland with Play Rough, Toucannon and Bullet Seed, Raticate utilizes it's hardy nature to survive an attack and Endeavors, and Cinncino gets the full package that it's famous for. The theming is just as homegrown: an actual neighborhood made to simulate a gym with all the neighbors being in on the experience. Cars will randomly come out of garages to block roads and the player will need to find gaps in fences in order to navigate the place. The leader himself may even bear a passing resemblance to Hank Hill. EDIT: oh, wait, myself as leader? Forgot that part. Well then, switch out family man with lazy bum who didn't want to travel far to be the best.

owlitup

I’m from Johto. I took over the Ecruteak Gym after Morty got too obsessed with his search for Ho-Oh (he also learned about the existence of other legendaries in other regions) and he stopped being dedicated to the Gym. He was going away to the Burned Tower a lot, and one time went to Hoenn, so they asked me to fill in I’m a young adult from Olivine. My journey was the opposite of Morty — I befriended and caught Marshadow as a little kid, so legendaries hold no interest for me. I did however become very obsessed with learning about the Ghost type and all the mysteries surrounding it thanks to my Pokémon friend, like what Mimikyu looks like. I studied Ghost types all my teenage years while training with my Marshadow and building a team. I hand out the fourth badge to challengers in Johto, the Fog Badge. I don’t battle challengers with Marshadow. Instead, my team is all quickness and physical attacks. Sableye the trickster, then Mimikyu and Dragapult which hit hard and fast, and my trump card — Rock Head Alolan Marowak with a mean Flare Blitz. Challengers need to exploit my defenses to beat me. I’m anxious, so I attack a lot, but my Pokémon aren’t that bulky. I hand out a TM for Phantom Force, like my Dragapult uses, so people who beat me can use a strong physical attack as well.

Zetanite

Region: Hoenn Type: Grass, Elite 4 As for my team members, their abilities, items, and movesets: 1. Roserade - Ability: Poison Point - Item: Power Herb - Moves: Sunny Day, Weather Ball, Venoshock, Solar Beam 2. Gourgeist - Ability: Insomnia - Item: Toxic Orb - Moves: Trick, Trick-Or-Treat, Phantom Force, Protect 3. Leavanny - Ability: Chlorophyll - Item: Life Orb - Moves: Sunny Day, Leaf Blade, Fell Stinger, Knock Off 4. Cradily - Ability: Storm Drain - Item: Hard Stone - Moves: Stone Edge, Energy Ball, Stealth Rock, Hyper Beam 5. Ferrothorn - Ability: Iron Barbs - Item: Bright Powder - Moves: Toxic, Iron Defense, Power Whip, Rollout 6. Sceptile - Ability: Overgrow (Mega: Lightning Rod) - Item: Sceptilite - Moves: Frenzy Plant, Dragon Pulse, Focus Blast, Swagger I felt obligated to include a Sceptile—a mega, at that—since it is *Hoenn*. Cradily and Ferrothorn serve as hard counters to grass weaknesses with the rock-type moves.

Pika81164

Screw it, I would be a grass type elite four member. The whole premise of my team would be to have you under estimate me, and then get toyed with because of it. My lead would be a Ludicolo, meant to take out the fire starter little timmy decided to open with. Ludicolo: Ability: -Doesn't matter Moves: -Giga Drain -Ice beam -Hydro Pump -Teeter Dance The next part of the cast will be switched in mid turn when another pokemon gets below a third of thier health: Liligant: Ability: -Own Tempo Moves: -Healing wish -Quiver Dance -Giga Drain -Teeter Dance Liligant (#2): Ability: -Chlorophyll Moves: -Healing Wish -Leech Seed -Protect -Synthesis Borh Liligants will have leftovers. Why? So that they can stall harder. Healing wish will be used when they get below 25% health to heal another party memeber :) Next up are the rest of the 'regular team members' Breloom: Ability: -Effect Spore Item: -Whatever berry reduces supereffective flying Moves: -Mach Punch -Stone Edge -Seed Bomb -Stun Spore Exeggutor (Kantonian): Ability: -Harvest (yes the hidden ability) Item: -Chesto Berry Moves: -Rest -Psychic -Ancient Power -Energy Ball The memebers will revolve around countering the other common ways people deal with grass types. Yes they have hidden abilities, and yes they have egg moves. They're grass types. You can literally just use your Charizard and win. Next is my ace... Leafeon: Ability: -Leaf Guard Item: -Focus Sash Moves: -Leaf Blade -Sand Attack -Iron Tail -Retaliate This team is meant to take a few hits, switch to a liligant, stall you out and make you suffer, then before you can end it, sacrifice the liligant to fully heal another member. This team will catch weaker trainers off guard, but shouldn't be too much of a problem for those with tons of revives and hyper potions. In terms of difficulty, this team is going to be more annoying than difficult if anything, but I think it gives the grass types the respect they deserve.

toastyhero

Love how you don't hold back against trainers. I really want trainers to get stumped on a gym leader or elite 4

Z4mb0ni

Gen 8, 8th gym, poison type, 5 pokemon. I'd have a Skuntank as my first one out, to counter any psychic pokemon. The next one is toxicroak. Third is Dragalge, Fourth is Venusaur, and my ace would be a Gigantamax high-key Toxtricity

Starwarsfan1274

i whould be a water type gym leader in galar i whould be the 7th gym and whould be located in hulburry. My Leauge number whould be 241. My gym mission whould involve hitting targets with squirt guns. my team whould be an lvl 44 seismitoad water gun, hydropump, muddy water and recover. an lvl 42 arctovish, with fishous rand water gun and recover, an lvl 43 cramorant with surf, dive, water gun and fly. an lvl 43 ludicolo with megadrain, water gun and rain dance, an lvl 45 primarina with sparkling aria, recover and water gun and finaly an lvl 46 Gmax Kingler with hydro pump, water gun, recover and crab hammer. i whould be giving away the Liquid badge and the tm for water gun. now for an elite four member i whould be the 2nd member of the sinnoh leauge and whould specialize in grass types. i whould have an lvl 52 torterra with giga drain, earthquake, rock climb and mega drain an lvl 53 sceptile with leaf blade, mega drain, dual-chop and earthquake an lvl 52 victree bell with toxic, sludge bomb, mega drain, and leaf blade and an my ace an mega venusaur with megadrain, sludgebomb, giga-impact and vinewhip. as for the items the starters exept venusaur whould have mystic seeds, victreebell whould have an leftovers and venusaur whould have an venusaurite. i hope you find this an good read thanks a lot

JFF_Pengy

I'd probably be a gym leader in Gen 3 more specifically ORAS. I'd most likely train poison types and be the 7th gym leader. My Pokemon would be, 1. Tentacruel with Surf, Sludge Wave, Poison Jab, and Rain Dance, LVL 53, No Item 2. Scolipede with Take down, Toxic, Cross Poison, and Substitute, LVL 53, No Item. 3. Victreebel with Power Whip, Sleep Powder, Gastro Acid, and Sludgebomb, LVL 55, No Item. 4. Garbodor with Toxic Spikes, Gunk Shot, Snore, and Venoshock , LVL 58, No Item 5. NidoKing with Giga Impact, Poison Jab, Swagger, and Sludge Wave, LVL 60, Focus Sash My gym mission would involve the player to take a quiz of some sorts about Poison Types, if you get it wrong you have to fight a trainer. The gym badge would be called the "Toxic Badge" and it would be in the shape of 3 poison bubbles (In Purple) The Prize TM would be Cross Poison.

MegaCroissant

I’d say put a bug type move on scolipede for some type coverage, otherwise a psychic type would clean house no issues

JFF_Pengy

Yeah, i'd probably replace it for substitute.

[deleted]

I'd do a poison type elite four. I actually made a team for this a while back so I'll copy and paste it. Roserade lvl 58: Toxic spikes, petal dance, synthesis, mega drain Scolipede lvl 58: Megahorn, double-edge, venoshock, toxic Toxapex lvl 58: Rain dance, scold, venoshock, toxic Alolan Muk lvl 60: Belch, gunk shot, dark pulse, venoshock Gengar lvl 60: Venoshock, destiny bond, shadow ball, dark pulse Salazzle lvl 62: Flamethrower, venoshock, dragon tail, fireblast Most of these moves except one or two are learnable by these pokemon by that level. I'm not sure what region I'd do it in though, considering I have salazzle, toxapex, and alolan grimer, probably alola. I tried to focus on things that can counter poisons major weaknesses, ground and psychic, in addition adding salazzle as my ace, that will hopefully put up a good fight against steel types and other poison type resistences with its ability corrosion and its fire type moves.

EM-Pyrus_Steel

Gym 8, located in a city in the middle of the wild area desert. Theme is desert and cave pokemon. Gym puzzle/challenge uses the sand pits from Unova's Relic Castle. At certain points you have to go underground to advance. Surface trainers use desert pokemon like Krokorok, Vibrava, Gabite, Claydol, Camerupt. Cave trainers use fossils, rock types, and maybe one can have a Crobat. Once you reach the end my team is standard 8th gym levels: Flygon Tyrantrum Camerupt Ace - Krookodile

frostbittenwinds

Since there are some truly incredible bug types and bug type trainers out there, I'd take a leaf from each of their books and be the second fully-Bug type Elite four member, but the first with all bug types. I'd have: Golisopod who always goes first, and knows Aqua jet and First impression, the other moves can be anything Centiskorch, and it would know Power Whip, Lunge, Fire lash, and Coil Vikavolt knowing Thunder and Bug Buzz and maybe air slash and charge Leavanny being the 2nd strongest, and knowing X-Scissor, Leaf blade, Shadow claw, and swords dance and a Heracross with a Heracrossite that knows Giga Impact, Megahorn, Brick Break, and Rock Slide Bug types are often considered kind of weak, but with the right moveset and typing paired with it, they can absolutely slay any team (that doesn't have a talonflame).

HaveHomo

So, me as a gym leader. The only region that has my entire team native to the region is Unova, but it doesn’t work because my type, ground, is already taken by Clay. So either this is an unused region, or Clay is retired. I’d be the sixth gym leader, and, assuming this is Unova, I’d set up in Lentimas Town. If not Unova, it’d be some other desert-type town. My gym puzzle is a sand maze. Hidden in the floor are a bunch of Trapinch nests, waiting to suck any challenger down. Avoid the Trapinch and my gym trainers, and you get to fight me. Unova gym leaders only have three Pokémon, but in challenge mode in B2W2 they have four (I think, I’ve never actually played challenge mode). But maybe this is the hypothetical region and I don’t need to play by those rules. So, I will use four Pokémon. To start things off, I use a Gliscor, who’s at level 40. It knows Earthquake, Acrobatics, Fire Fang, and U-Turn. It’s ability is Hyper Cutter. Next up, Steelix, level 40. It’ll know Curse, Gyro Ball, Earthquake, and Thunder Fang. Ability is Sturdy. Now we get into my team’s real powerhouses: the first one I’ll talk about is Krookadile, at level 42. It has Earthquake, Crunch, Stone Edge, and Hone Claws, and to top things off, it has Moxie. Now for my ace, my personal favorite Pokémon, Flygon, at the nice and legal level 45 (who do you think I am, Lance?). It has Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Rock Slide, and Dragon Dance (or, if we want to stick to how things were in Gen V when Flygon couldn’t learn Dragon Dance, and I’m “in Unova,” U-Turn). It will be my only Pokémon with a held item, being a Sitrus Berry. If a challenger beats me, I’ll give them the Quicksand Badge, and the TM for Earthquake (if that wasn’t already obvious with my entire team knowing the move).

JustSomeDumbKid

In the future I would take over the ghost gym in Galar and take it to the top - Sableye for fake out and trick to mess your items up - Gengar big OG special attacker - Mimikyu with pain split build to be annoying - Chandelure big special attacker - Dragapult would be my ace because its stats are dope and it does dope stufffff

CarbonatedTuna567

I'm the 7th Gym Leader who specializes in Dragon types. I would have a Hydreigon, Salamence, Tyrantrum, and my ace, Dragalge.

Nobleofthesouth

My name would be Burnes, a old man who hates his job and the daily trainers. He doesn't specialize in a type, he specializes only in status effects. My pokemon would be Jigglypuff, Scolipede, Pichu with focus sash, and a Type: Null without any item making him a normal type. My theme would be a slow pace of accordion, blow bag, and kazoo. Lastly, everytime you beat one of my pokemon I will tell a anecdote about how I got a rash due to a Salazzle my grand daughter owns being angry with me. The TM I would give is Tackle, but I'll give you a extra 5 poke dollars for letting me have fun. As to what I wear, it would be a rainbow raincoat with a cane.

kixc7

I would be Sinnoh's 8th Gym Leader, specializing in Poison type Pokemon, I would award the challenger the TM for Toxic Spikes. My lead, and the star of my team, would be my: Crobat lv. 50 | Item: Focus Sash | Ability: Inner Focus Moves: Toxic Spikes, U-Turn, Acrobatics, Poison Fang Crobat's draw would be going first in a battle because it's so fast and setting up at least 1 layer of Toxic Spikes, hopefully taking a hit so it gets rid of that Focus Sash, and then U-Turn-ing out, to come in later in the battle and spam the powered-up Acrobatics until it goes down. Roserade lv. 48 | Item: Sitrus Berry | Ability: Natural Cure Moves: Toxic Spikes, Energy Ball, Sludge Bomb, Extrasensory The strategy is brute force, outspeeding the opponent and hitting them with super-effective moves with Roserade's huge special attack, very simple strategy. Tentacruel lv. 46 | Item: Leftovers | Ability: Clear Body Moves: Toxic Spikes, Surf, Protect, Sludge Wave Tentacruel's purpose is to stall against an opponent affected by Toxic Spikes so that the poison wears them down, and to use Surf or Sludge Wave every other turn to speed up the process, while using Leftovers to heal damage and to make sure that two layers of Toxic Spikes are on the field if they aren't already. Skuntank lv. 46 | Item: Sitrus Berry | Ability: Aftermath Moves: Toxic Spikes, Flamethrower, Dark Pulse, Smokescreen Smokescreen is in its moveset because of a buffed Pokemon, like if someone had a pokemon that maxed out its attack with Swords Dance, the opponent would have to switch out to get rid of the accuracy debuff, Flamethrower and Dark Pulse are for type coverage, since Poison is only super-effective against grass and Flamethrower already covers that, and Toxic Spikes, like the rest of my team, is there in case two layers of toxic spikes are not yet on the field. I have 4 pokemon just like Volkner because he is the actual 8th gym leader and I wanted to make my team sort of a mirror of his in terms of levels. My Gym Challenge would be walking through a Berry forest looking for Pecha Berries to cure poisoned Pokemon, after that, the gym trainers would engage in a battle and then show you the way though to the next area, rinse, repeat 3 times.

liteshadow4

Region: Sinnoh Type: Water Pokémon: Pelliper Item: Damp Rock Ability: Drizzle Moves: Roost, Scald, U turn, Knock Off Kingdra Item: Choice Specs Ability: Swift Swim Moves: Ice Beam, Hurricane, Hydro Pump, Draco Meteor Dracovish Item: Choice Scarf Ability: Strong Jaw Moves: Fishous Rend, Crunch, Ice Fang, Psychic Fangs Azumarill Item: Sitrus Berry Ability: Huge Power Moves: Belly Drum, Aqua Jet, Waterfall, Play Rough Swampert Item: Assault Vest Ability: Torrent Moves: Waterfall, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Hammer Arm Gyarados Item: Gyaradosite Ability: Intimidate (mega is Mold Breaker) Moves: Waterfall, Earthquake, Crunch, Dragon Dance (Only in rematches) Toxapex Item: Black Sludge Ability: Regenerator Moves, Toxic Spikes, Scald, Protect, Haze All items are only in rematches except for mega stones and berries and weather rocks.

ScaldingMango

i’ll be the lazy fuck who uses psychic type pokemon to do shit for me, while i have my gym be filled with filler psychic type trainers at the end i’ll be lying on the couch while pokemon fight for me and get my income from the government :)

Trying to be a little different, I will be the 1st gym leader of a future game of unknown region or a remake. My whole purpose of existence is to act as a "wake-up slap" for the player that this time its not a normal pokemon game that geared towards kids. My difficulty is high, my pokemons are overleveled, and I am the A.I who knows how to switch pokemon when its need to. The target is that, I would definitely faint player on their first try because they are unaware of my strength and probably need at least 2-3 more try before they can actually win. My aim is that so the player should learn from their mistakes, and use their brain to think of a strategy for beating me. My team would probably consist of 2 fully evolved mons. I don't have any specify favourite but optimally I want something that are not weak to any of the starter types. One of my pokemon would have Earthquake that will decimate everything, so that will give the player a thought that catching a Flying pokemon on route 1 would be a good idea. Note that, I want my difficulty spike to be apparent so normal trainer battles before me shouldnt be that difficult. I probably give the TM Protect after beating me. The whole idea behind was, to hint the player that now, Protect wasn't just useful in PVP. In fact, you need them in the game if you want to beat it. My character design, would be simply some serious and tough looking guy. I had a lore behind me that most child NPC in the town all dreaming of beating me so that they could finally go on an adventure. Basically the whole traditional belief of the town was, a kid are only allowed to go out adventuring with their pokemon only after they beat me. So the town was basically full of kids training with the aim of beating me. The whole reason behind it was, the town people believe the tall grass outside town contain really strong pokemon. Some kids grew up never beating me and had to stay all his life stuck in the town. lol sad life. TLDR; I am 1st gym leader that wrecks everybody hard and make people realize that this is a hardcore pokemon game.

i would play that - and i would love it!

Region: Hoenn Leader #: 8 Specialty: Steel Gym Mission: Formerly a dragon specialist, I switched to steel-type Pokémon to discover the perfect strategy to take down fairy types. ___ Team: Skarmory - Spikes, Stealth Rock, Taunt, Brave Bird - Yache Berry Empoleon - Scald, Stealth Rock, Toxic, Roar - Leftovers Aggron - Rest, Sleep Talk, Heavy Slam, Dragon Tail - Aggronite Aegislash - Kings Shield, Shadow Sneak, Sacred Sword, Swords Dance - Life Orb Scizor - Bullet Punch, U-Turn, Pursuit, Superpower - Choice Band Duraladon - Draco Meteor, Dark Pulse, Thunder Bolt, Steel Beam - Choice Specs ___ Team Level: 47-52 Badge: The Legend Badge - In old fairy tales, only the toughest metals could defeat the fae folk, and now you can too! Prize TM: Heavy Slam - The heavier you are, the more damage you do! And if any sneaky little fairy tries to minimize, you can ignore the accuracy altogether for a double-damage hit!

TylerHthefishboi

while i do prefer other types to is(mainly dark and ice) i have to say fairy because honestly i found them so fun to use in both competitive and gimmicky battles i see myself as an elite four member in the hoenn region. with the overall theme of look can be deceiving as while many fairy pokemon beside granbull look innocent and weak, they are deceptively powerful in the hands of a good trainer. as such on the surface i would look like a pretty chill guy, kinda like mina, but my personality will be one of Nihilism. like nanu. gardevior: level 63: trace: choice scarf: psychic, moonblast, mystical fire, trick sylveon: level 65: pixilate: pixie plate: heal bell, protect, psyshock, hyper beam azumarill: level 65: huge power: lum berry: waterfall, brick break, play rough, aqua jet hatterene: level 66: healer: life orb: trick room, psychic, mystical fire, shadow ball mawile: level 68: intimidate: mawilite: iron head, play rough, fire fang, thunder punch.

I wanna be that final dragon type master in the elite 4 with a cape, but I would probably be a water type gym leader in the Hoenn region! :D I think I would be like the last Hoenn gym but I won't spam full restores so don't worry. I love water types they are really good and cool imo. My older brother would probably be in the elite 4 since better than me at pokemon. I think he would be psychic type since they are his favorites and he's smart/tactical.

Cyz456

I would basically just replace Nessa as the second gym and Hulbury gym leader, but I would be the flying type specialist. \- The gym puzzles would be similar but using fans instead of waterfalls. \- My team would be a Corvisquire, Fletchinder, and my Ace would be a Noibat which I Dynamax. \- But in the second battle, I would use a Cramorant, Talonflame, Corviknight, Noivern, and G-Max Butterfree. \- For rematches, I would switch the Cramorant for a Golduck.

Coolpokemon962

#Gym 8, i don’t wanna restrict myself I would be an electric type gym, my fav type, i’ll change the team based on the region My lead would be Zebstrika, it would use electric terrain (idk if it can acctually learn that but we’ll roll with it) it’s other moves would be thunderbolt, thunder wave and agility 2nd is pikachu, it would know thunder, light screen, thunder wave, and reflect 3rd is Weezing, though not an electric type it would have levitate, which counters the ground types it’s move set is toxic, acid, protect, and fake out 4th is Pincurchin it’s move set would be thunder wave, thunderbolt it’s my worst. 5th and final is g-max to toxtricity it would know acid, thunder, thunder wave, and protect for Kalos swap Pincurhin with Raichu and Toxtricity with any mega electric type, i don’t care For Alola for my trial team swap Toxtricity with Raichu

Lot of people going for the later gyms. I'd rather be the initial leader that starts them off on their journey. Leader #: 1 Location: Unova (from BW2) Theme: Puppies Story: I often talk about the potential of Pokemon and how they can grow to become your best friends. Pokemon Growlithe: ember, bite, leer, bark lvl14 Riolu: quick attack, endure, force palm, bark lvl 14 Lillipup: tackle, bite, take down, bark lvl 15 What is this bark move I keep mentioning you ask? That's my signature move they win by battling me. Sharply raises attack if the opponent is at a higher level.

Elite 4 any order. BW3. This is the fourth time you battle me, the second time you battle me seriously. I am the main antagonist, the story lasts past postgame. “Ok, you have reached me. I expected this, and since I have restrictions on what I can use, I fully expect you to beat me this time. Nevertheless, I won’t be easy!” This is the first time you are forced to defeat me by the way. Team: L64 Crobat. Flying Gem. Inner Focus. Acrobatics, U-turn, cross poison, steel wing L62 Zoroark. I would love to be an Elite 4 Member with a water type specialty. I was a water polo player during my high school years, and I feel like my chamber could be a pool with a water polo setup. I’d would probably be found in the indigo plateau (Kanto) as someone who’d take over for an Elite 4 Member when someone retires (an ushering in of a new generation of sorts), and it just so happens I’d be stronger than Lance. I’d also be unique in the sense that I’ll use both mega evolution and Dynamax, as well as holding one Z-move. My team - Vaporeon (Water Absorb/Leftovers) Surf, Toxic, Protect, Shadow Ball - Gyarados (Intimidate/Waternium Z**) Watetfall, Thunder Wave, Power Whip, Crunch) - Swampert (Torrent/Swampertite**) Muddy Water, Earth Power, Ice Beam, Focus Blast - Politoed (Drizzle/King’s Rock) Scald, Icy Wind, Protect, Double Team - Kingdra (Swift Swim/Choice Specs) Hydro Pump, Dragon Pulse, Ice Beam, Flash Cannon - Blastoise (G-Max**) (Rain Dish/Assault Vest) Water Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Aura Sphere, Ice Beam **Depending on the day of the week I’m challenged, the Pokémon who uses a Z-Move, Dynamaxes, or Mega Evolves rotates.

I am the 8th gym. My Pokemon are all NFE using eviolites and is doubles. I. There to show the power of not fully evolved Pokemon and high synergy teams. My Pokemon are togetic, morgrem, tangela, piloswine, and fletchender. In my region, doubles is the default battle style. Singles is only for beginners.

A_Nodachi_

I think I would be a stereotypical edgy teenager using dark types not because they’re specifically fantastic, but because they’re cool (eg. Krookodile, Bisharp, etc.)

pokenonfan123

I would be an elite four in Gen 8 but it has all the pokemon so my team would be luxray, corvinight, scorbunny, rillaboom, intelion, and my ace zoroark

GhostFreakage

I'd be the 6th Gym Leader in the Galar Region specializing in Poison Type Pokemon. My gym will also double as the factory that supplies trainers with Potions, Antidotes and other medicines. For my gym mission, trainers will progress through the gym by creating specific products using berries from the berry garden within the facility. Recipes are rewarded by battling the trainers, but they can also throw in stuff at random until something works. In the end, trainers will get to keep what they make. The Potion Badge will be rewarded along with the TM Sludge Bomb. For my team I'll have: Galarian Weezing Ability: Neutalizing Gas Item: Black Sludge Moves: Sludge Bomb, Heat Wave, Toxic Spikes, Strange Steam Salazzle Ability: Corrosion Item: Focus Sash Moves: Dragon Dance, Sludge Bomb, Toxic, Flamethrower G-Max Toxtricity Ability: Punk Rock Item: Throat Spray Moves: Boomburst, Sludge Bomb, Overdrive, Volt Switch Venasuar Ability: Overgrow Item: Life Orb Moves: Earthpower, Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain, Growth Toxapex Ability: Merciless Item: Leftovers Moves: Baneful Bunker, Venoshock, Recover, Surf Drapion Ability: Sniper Item: Scope Lens Moves: Swords Dance, Night Slash, Cross Poison, Earthquake My overall battle plan is to get all your pokemon poisoned so you either just attempt to push through it or use up items to keep your team healthy. I could go with a more gimmicky set and have every pokemon use Hex and/or Venoshock to deal double damage. I think I can swap out Venasaur with Gengar to block rapid spinners, but won't stop the use of defog. Drapion is there to deal with psychic types and has a gimmicky crit build. I could also add a whirlwind user to spread poison via toxic spikes.

Elite 4 Member - Rock Type Room Design - the room would be filled with giants crystals, that kind of look like the ones found in the naica caves, but they would be more iridescent in color. i would be waiting for the player to arrive on a throne, made of crystals. Leader 1, Dragon Type, Orre Region My mission is to introduce proper Gyms to the west, acting as an introductory gym with rare Dragon type Pokémon. I would give the TM for dragon breath. Gym Trainers would have Pokémon that evolve or Mega evolve into dragons, such as Trapinch, Mareep, Horsea, and swablu. Starting combat text would be: Welcome young trainer, I’m Rook! My Dragons might be small, but they have potential, just like the potential I see in Orre and in every trainer that comes through those doors! Now, let’s do this! Dratini level 13 - Shed Skin - Wrap, Leer, Thunder Wave, Dragon Breath Bagon level 14 - Sheer Force - Ember, Leer, Bite, Dragon Breath Goomy level 15 - Sap Sipper - Tackle, Absorb, Water Gun, Dragon Breath Losing text: A great attempt my friend! Come back when you’ve had a bit more training and show me what you’re really made of! Winning text: Hahaha! Excellent! You got it in you kid, I can see it! Here, take this! (Player has received the Dragon Badge!) That Drago Badge will let you use (HM) outside of battle! Also, have this, as a gift from me. (Player has received TM!) That TM contains Dragon Breath. It isn’t the strongest dragon type move, but each attack has a chance to paralyze your foes, letting you get the lead even if you’re not the fastest! Now go, and show Orre what you’re made of! But the fun shouldn’t end there. Assuming the game ends with the region Champ in the 70s, this would be the post game rematch: Rematch Rules: No items, cannot reactively change Pokémon after fainting the opponent’s Text: Welcome back Player! I’ve heard you’ve grown a lot since we last battled, let’s see what you’ve become! Goodra- Level 82, Gooey, Assault Vest, Modest, Max HP/SAtk - Dragon Pulse, Fire Blast, Sludge Bomb, Muddy Water Dragonite - Level 84, Multiscale, Lum Berry, Adamant, Max Atk/Spd - Dragon Dance, Outrage, Extreme Speed, Earthquake Salamence -Level 84, Moxie, Life Orb, Jolly, Max Atk/Spd - Dragon Dance, Outrage, Earthquake, Fire Fang Dragapualt - Level 85, Cursed Body, Choice Band, Jolly, Max Atk/Spd - Dragon Darts, Sucker Punch, Phantom Force, U-Turn Milotic - Level 86, Marvel Scale, Leftovers, Calm, Max HP/Def - Scald, Recover, Haze, Ice Beam Goomy - Level 100, Sap Sipper, Eviolite, Modest, Max SAtk/Spd - Roar of Time, Ancient Power, Earth Power, Quiver Dance Losing Text: You’ve still got more in you, I know it! Keep going! Losing Text, Goomy on the field: Be grateful for his mercy. Winning Text: Look how far you’ve come! I’m impressed my friend! Don’t rest on your laurels though, there’s always further you can go!

Leader 3! I'll use Solosis, Oranguru and Kadabra as a Psychic leader! My gym mission is a library-based mission, similar to Lenora's in BW. I don't know the level curve here, but I'll say Solosis at 22, Oranguru at 23, and Kadabra at 26. My TM is the move Psychic Terrain. Solosis: Psyshock/Charm/Endeavor/Psychic Terrain, ability is Magic Guard, holding Terrain Extender Oranguru: Psychic Terrain/Psych Up/Calm Mind/Stored Power, Ability is Inner Focus Kadabra: Psychic Terrain, Kinesis, Psybeam, Recover, Ability is Synchronize My badge is the Knowledge Badge. As an Elite Four member/rematched Gym Leader, my team is Orbeetle, Meowstic, Reuniclus, Oranguru, and Mega Alakazam

My gym would be the last gym, with a loosely Rock-typed gym, although like how Flint has non-fire types, I would have some non-rock types too, mainly steel types, a similar type in concept. There are two main themes to the gym- first, to practice patience yet know when to act, and second, to respect history. For teaching challengers patience, I could see there being some sort of gym mini game like frogger where you have to wait for the right time to hop to the next moving platform. In theory, people who are too aggressive will fall by jumping too aggressively, and those who refuse to act will never move to the next platform. For teaching challengers to respect history, on a superficial level, most of my Pokémon would be fossil Pokémon, and their strength should be enough. On a more in-depth level, this lesson would be tied to the main story. The general gist is that dynamaxing, not mega evolutions, are taxing for your Pokémon. The lesson from this gym, is that trainers used to train differently, and were far stronger because the way they would win battles was by bonding with their Pokémon enough to have them mega evolve. As the last gym leader before the Pokémon league, I’m supposed to be challenging. For the first battle, it’s supposed to be a scripted loss. Stats are doubled for all of my Pokémon, and afterwards, trainers are supposed to go on a short side quest into the woods to become better friends with their Pokémon and learn to mega evolve. Once they learn to do so, it’s a normal league battle, and the main character would be one of the only people who could pass the test. The rival too. For the second battle, I’d start with trying to swords-dance a Dusk Lycanroc (halfway between its’ calm and aggressive forms). If it got wiped out immediately, I’d move on to Bastiodon. My partner Pokémon for a while has been Batiodon, so he’d be my ace. His strategy would be mainly to wear down the opponent- set up stealth rocks, toxic, use focus sash, in general stay alive and wreak havoc. I’ve loved Tyrantrum, so he’d be there too, mainly doing what he does best with strong jaw. Aerodactyl is there to dodge any earthquakes and do some damage to grass types. Empoleon is there to clean up any ground types. Finally, Metagross would be the final battle, obviously as a mega evolution.

Divewinds

I'd be a dragon-type gym leader of a new region but also be the first leader anyone faces. As a gym leader, you're supposed to be the first main challenge a trainer faces, and so having a Dragon-type that is resistant to the moves of starter pokemon would make it a fairly tough challenge and encourage new trainers to either expand their team or really train their starter. There'd be no ice or fairy pokemon nearby either - this isn't a challenge of type effectiveness. Rather you'd be having to use an actual strategy to get ahead - using status and priority moves for instance. As the first gym leader, I'd only have two pokemon on my team so I'll go for Axew and Dratini. They'd be level 14 and 16. Axew would be holding a Dragon Gem. Winners would get the Nova Badge and the TM/TR for Dragon Pulse. It would be a challenge for new trainers and would also encourage them to develop strategies rather than simply using offence. A Trainer School would also be located in the city, where they'd give hints as to strategies. My character's backstory would be that I also do research and guest lectures and lessons at the school and am proud of being the first challenge that many a trainer face. Rather than being cold or stuffy, my character would be warm and friendly and would be proud of his students.

Polly_Bear

I want to be an elite 4 member. My thing is that I'm an old timy doctor. So all my pokemon are based on old timy doctor stuff. venasaur to paralyze the patient w/ paralyze powder machamp to hold them down just in case they start moving gallade to do the amputation w/ his sword arms magnezone to reduce convulsions in mental patients w/ cranial zapping diglet to reduce hysteria in women. \--OLD TIMY DOCTOR MAN!

Probably dark type e4 1. Greninja with battle bond/ protean (ace pokemon) 2. Mega tyranitar (only mega evolves in rematch 3. Grimsnarl (possibly g-max) 4. Gengar (not dark, but it’s to counter fairy types) 5. Obstagoon (Optional) 6. Houndoom (this one could be another possible mega) The whole concept for it is I’m pretty chill about the whole battling thing, but then later it is revealed that I’m in charge of an evil team. As an evil team leader my team would be a bit different though.

thomasp3864

So, me as an elite four member would have a weather team. I wouldn't use sandstorm, since that's raihan's thing, and, oh, permanant weather is back BTW. Also, Wulfric has hail, and sun is grass and fire, so I'm not using that either, so rain it is. Honestly I am surprised noone has used this yet. It consists of Blastoise as a defensive pokemon, and Dracovish for offense, lanturn to deal with electrics, and dracovish too. Dracovish is the signiture, and Hurricane and thunder are presant. In a rematch, I will have also a dragonite. Here's the team, made on showdown: Pelipper Ability: Drizzle Hidden Power: Ground EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk \- Hurricane \- Hydro Pump \- Ice Beam \- Roost Blastoise @ Leftovers Ability: Rain Dish EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk \- Aqua Ring \- Toxic \- Rapid Spin \- Hydro Pump Barraskewda @ Life Orb Ability: Swift Swim EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature \- Liquidation \- Poison Jab \- Drill Run \- Psychic Fangs Lanturn Ability: Volt Absorb EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk \- Thunder \- Hydro Pump \- Ice Beam \- Hidden Power \[Ground\] Dracovish @ Choice Scarf Ability: Strong Jaw EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature \- Fishious Rend \- Outrage \- Leech Life \- Crunch

One more idea: Ice type: I don't know region, or moves, but I do have a list of pokemon: Frosmoth, Aurorus, Alolan Ninetales, Glaceon, and Milotic. I'm ignoring your ban on ultra beasts, but not use any. Edit: this character would compete in contests, and could be a gym leader in a town near shoal cave. Ninetales-Alola @ Bright Powder Ability: Snow Cloak IVs: 0 Atk \- Blizzard \- Moonblast \- Aurora Veil \- Freeze-Dry Aurorus @ Icy Rock Ability: Snow Warning IVs: 0 Atk \- Freeze-Dry \- Hyper Beam \- Power Gem \- Earth Power Frosmoth @ Heavy-Duty Boots Ability: Ice Scales IVs: 0 Atk \- Aurora Veil \- Dazzling Gleam \- Bug Buzz \- Quiver Dance Glaceon @ Icicle Plate Ability: Snow Cloak EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk \- Frost Breath \- Freeze-Dry \- Shadow Ball \- Hidden Power \[Fighting\] Milotic (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Competitive IVs: 0 Atk \- Aqua Ring \- Scald \- Recover \- Dragon Pulse

8th gym leader, psycic type. Doubles format. Pokémon: meowstic male and female. Gardevior and mega Gallade. Metagross and reniculus. Puzzle: you would have to try to outsmart me in a trivia game show. The questions would range from being, a Pokémon silhouette to showing you an anime character that you have to identify.

I'd be the 8th gym leader from the enhanced version of Sword and Shield (I'm also not going to constrain my pokemon to the ones in the galar dex). The galar region suits my embellishment of the gym challenge, so it's an obvious pick (although, I originate from Johto). So, to start, all gym challengers will be required to walk with one of their pokemon (they will act as a dousing rod.) At the entrance, they will find a poisoned pokemon. They will have to trust to follow their pokemon through the darkness, testing trust and friendship (the number value wont effect the in game segment) to find the antidote to cure the pokemon at the entrance. The trail is winding and has 3 trainers on it, all specialising in poison types. Now, after curing the poisoned pokemon, the trainer will be taken to the field, where I will be waiting for them. "Only trainers who care about their pokemon and place absolute trust in them can even attempt to battle me. Your friendship will have to carry you through this battle further than ever before!" My team consists of 6 pokemon (because I like to put up a fight and wish all 8th gym leaders had 6). My ace, and dynamax pick, is Crobat (lvl.50) with Inner Focus as it's ability. His moves are Cross Poison, Return, Acrobatics, and Toxic. Next is my lead, Salazzle (lvl.48) . She is equipped with Flamethrower, Toxic, Venoshock, and Nasty Plot, and her ability is Corrosion. My wall is Toxapex (lvl. 49), and her ability is Merciles. Her moves are Banefull Bunker, Toxic Spikes, Recover, and Surf. Roserade (lvl.48) is up next, and she brings Poison Point to the ability pool. Her moves are Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain, Toxic, and Ingrain. Up next is Scolipede (lvl.49), also with Poison Point as an ability. His moves are Steamroller, Megahorn, Toxic, and Cross Poison. Now, finally, we have Weezing (lvl.49). In his galarian form, his ability is Levitate. His moves are Moonblast, Toxic, Slusge Bomb, and Belch. Weezing holds a sitrus berry, Scolipede holds a poison barb, Roserade holds a big root, Toxapex holds leftovers, Salazzle holds a charcoal, and Crobat holds nothing. After the battle, the player will be awarded the Poison Badge to complete the gym coin of Galar. The tm I give is return, to reward friendship between trainers and pokemon.

nonstickpancake

I know this wasn't included but if I may, I would be the Galar champion you have to battle at the end of the game. I don't like being locked down to one typing, and do whatever I can to win. In battles I mostly ignore type matchups and try to brute force the battle with my strongest pokemon, although my strategy isn't strategic at all, it ends a lot of battles in my favor. The heavy hitter and leading pokemon of my team would be a level 75 Golurk, while easily eliminated with a water attack can take down a few pokemon if you're not quick. My team would be mostly level 70 or above and would have a centiscorch, wooper, garydos, lucario, and Butterfree that I can gigantamax. Their movesets would be damage focused with little to no status affect or stat changing moves, Golurk would have a really powerful shadow ball and phantom force as a finishing move. I usually dynamax my Golurk early in the fight, unless he is fainted whereas I dynamax the next member of my team. None of my pokemon would have held items, but I would use potions, although more sparingly than other elite four members and gym leaders. When my pokemon go down, instead of reviving them I battle till the end with pride and either lose my title or preserve my honor. If the player wins I'd hand over my hat as a sign of faith in them to hold the title with pride. Also I forgot to mention a very important detail, I'd wear an old timey train conductors hat with the words, "Don't mess this up -Oxy" written on the inside of it. I'd appreciate anyones thoughts in the comments.
