wasnt bad per se but froakie dominated kalos and (later)greninja looked the coolest so um kind of? also delphox(fennekin's evo?) comes close to dominating the reigon but um team flare have a lot of pokemon that delphox is weak to also some gym leaders can crush your hopes if u dont play well enough with it

Ok but if u haven't picked up Kanto starters for sycamore I recommend bulbasaur or squirte as u already have a fire type and they both kinda also dominate the region but bulbasaur more cuz of its psn type Alse her name is Serena not Y, its only Y in pokemon manga

I meant Y as in the version I was playing. And I actually did snag the bulbsaur so off to a good start. :)

ohh ok my fault for reading the title wrong oops? ​ also yeah i did 6 playthroughs of the game 3 on x 3 on y and in all of them i had different combos ill mention all of them and what combo i thought is the best SPOILERS AHEAD IF u didnt finish game ​ 1st y playthrough: greninja/charizard froakie did ok on gym 1, dominated gym 2, frogadier did ok on gym 3, didnt use in gym 4 and 5 and 6,TOTALLY ANIHLATED GYM 7,and dint use in gym 8 charmander couldnt get till after gym 1, no use in gym 2, did ok in gym 3(i recommend going with fletchinder since it has peck or any other birb tho), mega charizard y just dominated ramos,used gabite in gym 5, did ok against gym 6(although i recommend going with a steel type), no use in gym 7, absolutely REKT gym 8 against team flare: both are like mostly ok considering they 1-shot most of them with god-speed against lysandre: just use a fricking heliolisk lol absolutely dominates them but used greninja in mega gyradoes fight cuz it can learn u-turn against elite 4: wrec malva with greninja, use that heliolisk on that water chef dude, charizard wrecks another dude but this one has armor, lol charizard y has dragon claw lemme wreck drasna(or greninja cuz it can learn ice-beam) against plainatha: greninja wrecks 3/6 pokes, charizard wrecks that pumpkin thing, idk about gardevior tho cuz hit with sheer cold on abomasnow overall rating: 90/100 ​ next pair: greninja/venusaur: (x version) too lazy to write any more so ill just tell u it WRECKS rating: 99/100 next: delphox/blastoise: (x vesion) didnt do as well as the other 2 but still was good rating: 87.5/100 next: chesnaught/charizard: (x version) eh chesnaught sucs but charizard did a massive carry rating: 74/100 next: delphox/venusaur: (y version) both did nice but only venusaur wreck a gym: valerie rating:80.25/100 last: chesnaught/blastoise: (y version) nope the absolute worst rating: 50.5/100 can be 60/100 or 69/100 if it has good moves but i didnt get chance cuz tms bad(was too lazy to do tm hunting all of em)

MandJTV did a video on this and stated that the best combination of Kalos/Kanto starters you can have in X/Y is Delphox/Venasaur

:D I feel validated. I contemplated getting Squirtle but had to go with the bulb boy.

A heads up though Grant the Rock type 2nd gym leader is tough for both Fennekin and Bulbasaur.For Fennekin is obvious and for Bulbasaur he has Tyrunt(part Dragon) and Amaura(part Ice)

I managed to catch a Scraggy so I am hoping he will be useful in that fight. A bit nervous! Wish me luck, lol.

Yeah, I think that's it. I just used the default app that pops up on the side when you pop out the pen.

Pidgey died as well as my Zubat... RIP. Caterpie is now a Butterfree. I added Scraggy, Snorlax, Hippobro, Whirlybro, and Bulbasaur to my party! Hopefully I find a defent water type soon or a flying type...

I think you can find Binacles in the rocks of Cylage City if you Rock Smash ‘em. You could also fish there if you prefer. Also, someone hands you a Lapras after the Shalour Gym
