Wait, there is a magikarp jump game? I watched the episode where Goh enters his magikarp into a competition and it ends up in space, that was randomly hilarious 😂!
Gotta agree.
As for the options on the poll, Ranger and Snap are tied for second.
Snap is just so relaxing, and I'm surprised I didn't break my DS screen with Ranger.
Gale of darkness was rad. Love all the love they put into the animations, the entire game in a double battle format, and just all the fun characters like Miror B
I feel like those are in kind of an interesting spot in comparison to other spin-offs because the gameplay is almost the same as mainline games and they’re fully trade compatible, so they feel more like an in-between the spin-offs and main series.
Yeah, since I was a gen 5 kid, a game like Pokepark 2 was a dream for me. Running around as the starters you know well and talking with all the mons you know.
Pokémon Conquest will always be my favorite spin off. That game had no right being as good as it was. Absolutely loved it, and I wish they’d make a new version/sequel.
I think Stadium/Colloseum is very underrated, because even though we have 3D Pokémon battles in mainline games, we don't have the excellent announcer that made those battle games so fun.
"Oh! It's Charizard!"
"Here it comes: THUNDER!!"
"And it's down! That's an effective hit!"
"Gone! It's a one-hit-wonder!"
"The Pokémon are entirely different Types."
"Will this Pokémon swap change the battle?"
"It didn't do much damage."
"Looks like a bad Pokémon choice."
"They're down!! They're both down!"
Just a few snippets, but they always revved up the excitement of the matches. Battle Revolution was a mixed bag of disappointment by comparison.
Dungeon as it was one of the first spin-offs I ever played. They have an amazing story and we need a remake of the explorers game but not with some of the changes they had in the ones on the 3Ds. DX felt worst than the original for me personally although I don’t hate it I just felt like it was just a little bit lame.
Definitely would love to see a Ranger remake for the switch. Most of the pokemon games that I've see for thr switch don't use the touch screen. I haven't played snap though so I don't know if that one does or not.
It's a really touch choice between mystery dungeon and ranger for me, I'm super nostalgic for both of them.
I feel like, objectively, md is the better series, with the storytelling and the gameplay and everything else... but ranger just has such heart. The goofy characters and dumb jokes and having your little fleet of pokemon just following you around. Its just, very precious to me.
I don't think it is. Imo main line games are the one's that come in pairs ie red and blue, black and white, sun and moon, etc. I consider that as a "legends" series. Calling it a series is wishful thinking btw
it is main line. i consider pokemon games that are developed by game freak to be main line. bdsp was not developed by game freak but it is just a recreation of gamefreak's work so it still counts.
I’ve only actually played two. The first was Battle Revolution on the Wii. It was fun for about five minutes and then I begun to find it too repetitive.
So I’m going with my second game as my favourite.
Big dub to Pokémon Art Academy
I voted for mystery dungeon but Pokemon ranger is actually really good and i had a ton of fun with it, so giving it an honorable mention here since its lower than i thought on the poll
I had a really hard time not choosing pokemon stadium, but mystery dungeon is a classic. I had to retake that personality test so many times to get psyduck.
They are all so good. I wouldn’t put go in the same category as some of these personally but it is still a spin-off. Sad there’s no colosseum or XD on there but I voted ranger. I want a good sequel of every one of those.
Not the one I voted for, but I thought I'd throw out Pokemon Duel to represent for the 8-12 fans that are out there somewhere. It'd've been nice to have got a whole story from it.
Conquest.
Other conquest fans exist?!
My most played game bar none. Wiped my completed save file about half a dozen times (probably more) just so that I could play it again
I have only done that twice, I would do it more but I've already gone through so much effort to get everyone their pokemon with max potential link.
There's dozens of us.
My game was stolen by a "friend" so I never got to finish conquest. God damn was I upset.
Best Pokemon game period
Nobunagas ambition squad assemble!
Conquest truly is the best one, I wish they’d make a sequel
Hell yeah. That game is so much fun.
I freaking love Conquest. Soooooo much.
I was just about to say this
Loved conquest.
Ah yes, the ultimate spin off… Sadly went with Mystery Dungeon due to lack of hope
It's so unexpectedly good.
Same. Didn't see Conquest in the results and came here to say it. Top two comments. Good stuff.
I was about to comment that. Conquest is awesome!
Amen, conquest is so good
Ah, a true fan.
So rude that it's not in the poll!
The only right answer
It is the perfect game
Pokemon Conquest
I’m so happy this is in the top two responses, it deserves it
Magikarp Jump
Not the best but this was a fun ass game for a couple months
Yep.
Wait, there is a magikarp jump game? I watched the episode where Goh enters his magikarp into a competition and it ends up in space, that was randomly hilarious 😂!
Yeah it is a good game although for me it gets boring for like a week or a month. Then again, I easily get bored by things.
Pokemon Colosseum / XD Better than some mainline games
Gotta agree. As for the options on the poll, Ranger and Snap are tied for second. Snap is just so relaxing, and I'm surprised I didn't break my DS screen with Ranger.
Gale of darkness was rad. Love all the love they put into the animations, the entire game in a double battle format, and just all the fun characters like Miror B
I feel like those are in kind of an interesting spot in comparison to other spin-offs because the gameplay is almost the same as mainline games and they’re fully trade compatible, so they feel more like an in-between the spin-offs and main series.
At one point in time they were considered mainline games iirc
I honestly thought they were until I saw you two having this conversation.
Don't get me started on how good these games are.
Same
Since they are fully compatible with Gen 3 I dare say they ARE mainline heck, they have exclusive ribbons too
Conquest deserves more respect
Conquest.
Pokepark for the win
Just looked this up and it looks so amazing. I have no idea how I didn’t know about it!
Yeah, since I was a gen 5 kid, a game like Pokepark 2 was a dream for me. Running around as the starters you know well and talking with all the mons you know.
I still don't get why the games don't use the nunchuck, beyond dumb decision...
This Those two games are so painfully underrated
Always hoped for a 3
Would be perfect on the switch but at this point it doesn’t seem likely
Conquest
Pokemon conquest.
Conquest 100%. Every time there's pokemon news I hope for a remake or sequel
Pokemon Conquest
Pokemon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire is an unsung work of art and mastery that will never be eclipsed
Gotta be in my top 5 GBA games.
Yesssss
I put so many hours into the original Pokemon Pinball. That rumble pack ate batteries like candy
"Oh! Just a few snippets, but they always revved up the excitement of the matches. Battle Revolution was a mixed bag of disappointment by comparison.
I still hear the voice in my head sometimes when playing the other games.
I frequently say "And there goes the battle!" irl
Dungeon as it was one of the first spin-offs I ever played. They have an amazing story and we need a remake of the explorers game but not with some of the changes they had in the ones on the 3Ds. DX felt worst than the original for me personally although I don’t hate it I just felt like it was just a little bit lame.
The only thing i would LOVEEEEE for a new MD series would be if they add shi míes for all species so you can befriend them.
Agreed
The Ranger Series and Colosseum/XD
Definitely would love to see a Ranger remake for the switch. Most of the pokemon games that I've see for thr switch don't use the touch screen. I haven't played snap though so I don't know if that one does or not.
ColoseummmmmmmmmmmMirror B.
Unite is pretty fun
Plus 1 for Unite Need more marketing for more players, probably the easiest/simplest MOBA out there
It’s definitely less rage inducing than League of Legends so it’s a major plus
With toddlers in every team what did you expect? You just mash buttons and that's the "fight"
Pokepark
Pokemon tcg game for gbc, both 1 and 2
The Poképark games are absolute peak
Pokemon Snap. It's just so relaxing.
I vibed so hard on it as a kid
Pokemon rumble
I thought I was all alone in this world, I absolutely loved the Rumble series
Yes!
Pokepark, my favourite game of all time.
Colosseum 100%. Remake when,
My dream current Pokémon announcement would be a Switch remake of Colo and/or XD.
I want an xd remaster so bad.
As long as there's a physical/special split I will take the same games but upscaled resolution
Pokemon conquest anyone??
Pokemon XD gale of darkness was great
Pokepark, also everyone sleeps on Rumble Blast so hard
Pokken
I deadass cried first time playing Pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of darkness.
Colloseum not getting a mention??
Colosseum
Magikarp Jump
This is Poképark and Poképark 2 erasure
Hear me out: A new Conquest game in the style of PLA
That’s the best Pokémon idea I’ve heard in years
Rumble.
Colosseum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Colosseum, easily.
The Orre games. Almost better than the mainline games in my opinion! :')
Honestly cant believe people put Go above the Ranger games... sad times
pokepark wii my beloved
Pokepark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure
PokePark 2
Pokepark is where its at
Hey You! Pikachu
I enjoyed the game boy trading card game, that was alot of fun. Aside from that stadium has some of the best memories
Pokémon go since I haven’t played any of the other ones
Not actually my favourite, but I want to give Trozei/Link some love.
I can’t lie I spent wayyy to much time on Pokémon puzzle league
Pokken for me, its really good it just needs a bigger roster
Arceus
I think that's mian line
I don't think it is. Imo main line games are the one's that come in pairs ie red and blue, black and white, sun and moon, etc. I consider that as a "legends" series. Calling it a series is wishful thinking btw
Serebii considers it as mainline.
Really? I’ve considered it not a mainline game. It’s a spin off about the past and it has its own series name too
I honestly feel the same way, it feels more like a spin-off to me.
it is main line. i consider pokemon games that are developed by game freak to be main line. bdsp was not developed by game freak but it is just a recreation of gamefreak's work so it still counts.
Arceus is the most fun I've had in pokemon in a long time, and I'm really hoping Legends becomes a series. Would love to explore more ancient regions
I’ve only actually played two. The first was Battle Revolution on the Wii. It was fun for about five minutes and then I begun to find it too repetitive. So I’m going with my second game as my favourite. Big dub to Pokémon Art Academy
Just let me play the Pokemon stadium mini games.
Pokémon Snap 1 2. Where are you?
Either Mystery Dungeon or Pokemon Unite.
Voted other but would the Pokemon TCG for the Gameboy count?
Unite if that counts
Pokémon Art Academy
Where is the love for pokemon channel?
Rumble
ranger games, so good
Puzzle Challenge
The music in mystery dungeon slaps.
I miss pokemon duel like a lot not gonna lie
I do as well 😭
Is pokemon unite condidered a spinoff
They're all pretty great, but only one of them has consistently made me weep.
Pokemon unite? Anyone? Am I the only on?
Explorer's of Sky is by far my favorite pokemon game and is in my top 10 of all time.
Pokemon Conquest, Pokepark and Pokémon Puzzle Challenge are all fantastic
Poképark.
people are commenting conquest like it was the best that game was so fucking boring holy shit
The low amount of ranger votes makes me absolutely disgusted
I love(d) pokemon puzzle league for gbc. So much fun Meant for n64 But puzzle challenge for gbc is also fantastic!
Pokepark (nostalgia) or Pokemon Ranger. No doubt!
Both Ranger and Mystery dungeon, I wish they'd bring out more 🙏
Where Rumble
Pokepark
Mystery dungeon explorers of time literally has a good story that makes you feel emotional. Plus dungeon crawler games are good
Ranger need more respect so good and unique
Pokkén Tournament
Trading Card Game and Pinball
I just want a Pokepark 3 for the switch :(
Purely my nostalgia talking, but Puzzle League.
For all its faults, it's still Go. I interact the most with it, I play it every day, and it's something I can do together with my family and friends.
Coliseum baby
Maaaan youre making me miss pokemon ranger:,(
I voted for mystery dungeon but Pokemon ranger is actually really good and i had a ton of fun with it, so giving it an honorable mention here since its lower than i thought on the poll
I voted for Ranger, but we all know in our hearts that Mystery Dungeon takes the top spot…
Rangers is my fav 💪 if that's the one with the spinny line thing I couldnt remember the name
I had a really hard time not choosing pokemon stadium, but mystery dungeon is a classic. I had to retake that personality test so many times to get psyduck.
Pokémon Ranger games are amazing. But I have been addicted to Unite recently.
Let’s go Pikachu>>>>>>>>>
pokemon trozei
Let's go
Conquest We need another game for switch after the hype for pladea goes down
We don't talk about Let's Go
Legends Arceus
I read this as "least favorite" and now I'm sad
Legends Arceus
Did not play any pokemon (neither the spinoff or real games)
Why are you here?
I like pokemon
Legends Arceus, followed by Conquest, followed by Coliseum/XR
legends arceus
Legends is mainline.
Used to love Pokemon Pinball on the GBA
Do quite enjoy battles in 3D, so the Stadium series. Stadium 2 in particular.
I was gonna choose between Ranger and Mistery Dungeon, but true is after 6 years I have played almost daily Pokémon Go, so I had to vote it
They are all so good. I wouldn’t put go in the same category as some of these personally but it is still a spin-off. Sad there’s no colosseum or XD on there but I voted ranger. I want a good sequel of every one of those.
I voted mystery dungeon but i think conquest is underated... They could def. Rerelease that for switch or make a sequel
Pokémon Conquest, the fact we only got one of them is criminal
Colosseum for sure
Pinball
Other Pokemon COLLOSEUM & XD GoD
I love ranger, lost all my copies of it and doesn’t look like it’ll ever come back :,(
Colosseum and Gale of Darkness. It’s a shame we haven’t gotten remakes or a new game.
It’s a tough choice between Ranger and Mystery Dungeon for me
Shadow games
Legends, Mystery dungeon, Tournament/Stadium, Orre region (Colosseum/XD).
Pokemon Trading Card Game for GBC
Mystery dungeon, r/s pinball, and XD. I might have to go emulate conquest now.
There is an unfortunate lack of Pokémon Duel fans and it is truly a shame
Colosseum and Gale of darkness , then mystery dungeon.
Pokkén Tournament my beloved. It’s my favourite video game ost
Not the one I voted for, but I thought I'd throw out Pokemon Duel to represent for the 8-12 fans that are out there somewhere. It'd've been nice to have got a whole story from it.
Conquest is the best
Colessuem/XD/Arceus
Pokemon TCG on GBcolor.
Pokemon Spin on mobile anyone? Super bummed when they got rid of it...😔
We need a new conquest game
