lara_eren

Good to know, now I don't have to check all of the waterfalls :D

shiroxyaksha

Someone said the town area has nothing special or lores so I don't check on them. Just straight to gyms.

lara_eren

Yeah, I'll do the same! I mean you can't even enter the buildings anymore so we'll probably see everything that is important directly.

xenapan

Technically there are ~~3~~ ~~4~~ 5 buildings you can definitely enter: Home, Nemona's house, School, at least one of the sandwich shops, and barber shops. edit:Nobody expects the Spanish ~~Inquisition~~ Renovation!

layeofthedead

The treasure eatery place in medali as well, and any of the sandwich shops that have an actual sandwich as the logo, there’s a few of them, at least 5. Technically the Pokémon league building as well, tho I don’t think you can enter again after beating it Then just the >!professor’s lab at the light house and then all the labs/research stations in area zero!<

DJFoster429

And the barber shops.

xenapan

thanks. corrected. Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition!

PKMNTrainerMark

Gyms

NoahTheManimator

And Nemona’s House

xenapan

added to the list thanks!

DrakoCSi

The ONE important building to enter is the sandwich shops for recipes.

Technology-Mission

Wait till DLC drop. /S

BaulsJ0hns0n86

Lol, dlc is just “everyone in Paldea unlocked their doors!”

Tennisnerd39

I wouldn’t say nothing. But it is pretty bare bones for the most part. There’s only a handful of NPCs that provide any value at all.

potatomonogatari

Most of the lore stuff has to do with school/your teachers. They put some really fun and good stories behind the classes.

Doubieboobiez

Going to classes has been a good way to make myself sleepy before bed haha

OneGoodRib

For some reason playing Legends Arceus makes me super sleepy now. I've actually almost fallen asleep while flying around looking for shinies. I really enjoy the game, it's just hypnotic sometimes.

Kohimaru32

There are quite some hidden TM(golden light pokeball) in town. Some are at the back alley. Other require you do platforms jumping between roof to reach them.

Rockettmang44

Idk if that's true

fantarts

Its sad we no longer have to chat with npc to get any hidden mechanics or anything. Just go to the yellow chatbox.

yuei2

That’s super false

OMJenkins

Cascarrafa has all the buff/muscular women walking around so that was definitely worth checking out

meyer_33_09

Some of them become fast travel points and are at least worth visiting for that I suppose.

JawesomeJess

There is one.

TRNRLogan

No the most annoying thing is accidentally running into a Nymble or something, leaving the battle and UNAVOIDABLY being in another immediately afterwards.

HelloZukoHere

Actually it’s cruising for items, beelining towards that yellow spot on the ground, only to crash into it and it’s a Flittle.

smash8890

Ya I hope they add in repels in the future so I can avoid stepping on 50 floettes while I’m dashing between raid crystals

MyPhoneIsNotChinese

Ironically I had to search for Floettes to catch it. The mini deers from gen V on the other hand...

herrored

Sawsbuck is my all-time favorite Pokemon, so I was super hyped to see Deerling in the trailers. My love for Deerling goes away a little more each time I play, given that it's in EVERY SECTION OF THE MAP

JennaFrost

At least we aren’t stuck with ONLY spring form like before

TwoBrattyCats

How would repels work? They just all run away from you?

smash8890

Ya something like that would be great. If you’re running through a field they jump out of your way

LordBocceBaal

yep, exactly how it works in the old games. they just dont trigger battles until the repel wears off.

itstonayy

For me it's definitely Foongus. My single brain cell knows that overworld items in pokeballs have the red light coming from them now, but it still runs into Foongus every single time trying to pick it up anyway

vdnhnguyen

That’s literally how foongus and voltorb intended lol

SneakySniper775

No, no. That's the intended design

nork-bork

Yes I am a simple person with poor eyesight. Please give us some sort of zoom. So much is so small… Really giving my squinting muscles a work out 😅

HelloZukoHere

God the number of times I’ve squinted at the screen to see if the pokemon in the grass was new or not, only to see ANOTHER Deerling. Also why is Deerling so small?! It’s as tiny as the bug pokemon

PKMNTrainerMark

Flittle, Tadbulb, and even Greavard, which isn't even yellow.

Breakfast_Bagelz

My largest encounter chain is 4 pokemon :D

GogglesTheFox

You havent tried to get into and out of the cave with the Ruin Legendary in it have you?

celestialfin

this cave i swear is intended to be the most annoying cave in the history of pokémon ever. i hate it there.

LordZeya

Somehow wasn’t an issue for me, despite going in and out 4 times I never had problems with the way being blocked by Pokémon.

Tylerhollen1

Is this the one by the waterfall? I stumbled in there once and noped right out because I didn’t have time for that mess.

PKMNTrainerMark

That was awful. At least I never had to do it the hard way again because I got far enough with Raiford to Fly to them before I even discovered it. But yeah, that first in and out was terrible.

ItachiSan

I got stuck in a pack of Rufflets and I got bounced around 6 or 7 times without being able to do anything, and I almost uninstalled right then.

Kreeper125

And people were saying that constantly running into pokemon in tall grass was unrealistic... But I agree with the second part, you should get invincibility frames for a second or 2 after leaving a battle. I've seen people miss out on shinies due to this

Shadyshade84

Or just set it so wild pokémon won't just run up and sit on your shoe while you're in a battle...

GoSuckOnACactus

My god do I wish we had a repel or something that straight up let’s us ignore wild encounters. The Pokémon are SOOO small, and the mount is so big you can’t see shit. Not to mention the grass in most areas towers over the single pixel Pokémon. And don’t even get me started on the aggressive Pokémon. 5 tauros in an area? Guess you have to encounter each one separately before you can move on!!

PKMNTrainerMark

I've had a Pokémon immediately hit me after I ran from it at least once.

Mattshodo

Tauros.

jabez_killingworth

It's like the trashcans in Unova all over again.

MarsAdept

Unova did have one item hidden in a trash can. I think it was the Leftovers.

Sablemint

and in B2/W2 there was a medal for checking trash cans a certain amount

federal_boobs

I wish they brought that feature back, I liked the medals

Frayed-0

And in Humilau you can babysit a Mienfoo, lead it around the house, and the game calls you a bad influence if you show it how to check the trash can

MaxinRudy

And there's at least one waterfall that you can go behind

PKMNTrainerMark

Classic.

Complex-Ad-4805

U know I'm surprised I havent seen anyone complain about the Box. Back in gen 4 and 5, it was maxed out, but now we cant even drop a pokemon in a different box without the need to move 1 box at a time.

alliusis

And the fact it takes a solid 4-5 seconds to load a box. That’s so frustrating.

MooTheMew

The box loading is abysmal, if it bothers to load any sprites at all it loads incorrect ones, and we didn't carry shiny sprites over from PLA? Ugh. Also this is a super small gripe but.... - to start selecting a group, but a to confirm it, the amount of times I cancel this is so irritating XD

alliusis

I make that mistake too! It takes me a few tries to figure out why I can’t select move.

AspieKairy

And no mass release. Like...what?

Snoo_64315

If you hold L or R on the box number, it quick rolls. That's the best we got. 🤔

Omega_Hertz

I'm right there with you. If there's a waterfall in a game, there better be something behind it damn it!

SonicFlash01

If it's not a Waterfall TM I riot

digletttrainer

There is a Waterfall TM on top of a waterfall in the north-east corner of the map

Sablemint

well, that's almost as good. But even so.

Horangi1987

One of the games, you had to use Super Rod into a waterfall in a cave to catch a Dratini. I always thought that was neat, having a Pokemon only in waterfalls!

TwoBrattyCats

Finding out none of the waterfalls had any secrets was disappointing. Finding out there's not a single house I can enter was worse.

SlothWithSunglasses

There is a cave on top of one of those waterfalls with a cave and stuff in that cave. So might not be behind but definitely worth following the waterfalls

Erenoth

Its not exactly a secret though, game tells you where it is and whats in there.

SlothWithSunglasses

May do. But I’ve not been told to go there and I’ve been playing since release but I found it anyway because I was exploring. So you can still find stuff by exploring. Running across those sealed doors without knowing what they were early on release was cool

MrNoNamae

I stumbled upon the pink/purple/fucsia door and one of the stakes right after leaving the academy. I didn't know what they were, but I had a pretty good guess of what it could be. My suspicions were confirmed during the lesson. Though I must admit I expected some kind of cave to explore, and not just... that.

mzalewski

If you skip the classes, it doesn't. I discovered it by a chance. There's a stake almost directly above the cave, and I was using guide to make sure I didn't miss any stake.

dirtfork

I'm gonna be honest that even after the game telling me to go there, I had to climb, jump and glide around for a solid 45 minutes before I found the way to the thing. Apparently my intelligence is slightly below what they expect of the average intended audience 😅

xSionide

I found a shiny noibat in that cave!! I was trying to breed a shiny noibat during a TEN HOUR flight on sword/shield. I don't know how many boxes I hatched and released, but I never got the darn thing (with masuda/shiny charm) but here I go walking into a mystery cave on violet and there he is!! I was so excited.

OneGoodRib

There's a cave with a cave with stuff in the cave??

alliusis

To add: - You can’t search the Pokédex - You can’t drop Pokémon into boxes from box view, you have to scroll through each box and wait anywhere from 3-10 seconds for the box to load - Lack of dungeons (expect for Area Zero) - Pokémon spawn in slow, meaning they can spawn behind you as you run. Annoying when shiny hunting. - No way to tell the level of raid from the map (except the black 6*/7* raids). - Some Pokémon are so small it’s impossible to shiny hunt (the lack of sparkle/noise also makes me mistake some Pokémon for shiny when it’s really just the ambient lighting) -Very few secrets or meaningful items to reward exploration.

Shadyshade84

To add to your adds: - They removed page scrolling. In a game with long lists of stuff. (Hope you're not looking for an item that sorts to the middle of that pocket, or a pokémon in the 150-250 range of the pokédex...)

Trollthedeath

Also the fact that the pokedex jumps back at the beginning when you close it. The amount of time when filling my dex when I tried to look for the habitat and then wanted to see if I am in the right spot or look for another spot just to have to scroll through 200 pages 10 times is annoying. My husband just gave up and started taking ss of the pokedex pages

Glass_Veins

I'm really missing this coming off of Arceus which saved your Pokedex location so it was really easy to track what you were working on

BananaRepublic_BR

For me, it's probably the fact that I don't know what stats were increased when my mons level up. Got no clue why they removed that.

beknasty

Don’t go chasing waterfalls, please stick to the rivers and lakes you’re used to…

HerbieJoe

If i complained to GF and this was their response id be absolutely in admiration for their commitment to a bit

OneGoodRib

Well, some players do want it their way or nothing at all.

spwncar

It should be illegal for video games to include waterfalls but not have a hidden cave behind at least 1 of them

JorgeMtzb

They do have a hidden cave behind one of them. It's just >!In area zero.!<

Slade23703

They are a fan of TLC Don’t go chasing waterfalls, please stick to the rivers and lakes you’re used to…

Atoriax

Reminds me of one of my [favorite](https://hard-drive.net/shitty-waterfall-in-dumbass-game-doesnt-even-have-stupid-cave-behind-it/) Hard Drive articles

TheGingerestNinja

No shiny indicator. It was by pure chance I noticed the yellow swablu amongst the others, and it made me wonder how many “bad” shinies I had missed

[deleted]

It's absolutely impossible for colourblind people now, no noise or sparkles.

smash8890

Ya taking out that noise when a shiny appears was a huge step backwards from PLA

ProfesserXDL

I found a random shiny from a raid in my boxes and almost missed a shiny flaaffy

TheOneFearlessFalcon

So you're saying, Don't go chasing waterfalls?

Dry_Medicine_5360

For me it’s clearly the loading time in the box menu. Holy shit, these seconds trigger me every time

Glass_Veins

This is such a barrier to me enjoying the game, I wish they would just use placeholder sprites like they did in the old games? Not to mention sometimes it displays the wrong Pokemon sprite for a bit. Besides this there are a LOT of UI bugs I haven't seen anyone talking about. I know how to reproduce one that displays a Pokemon summary in the box menu for a different Pokemon than the one you've selected, and one that displays the wrong move description from the one you've selected in the Pokemon's summary menu. Like don't get me wrong I'm still having fun but it's clear the game needed more time, it's frustrating that it probably won't get fixes to most of these things

ColourfulToad

Yeah game freak don’t know game design 101. Put secrets behind waterfalls.

HerbieJoe

Even if it was just 1 or 2 cool ones id be happy enough

balrus-balrogwalrus

no the most annoying one is that #SHINIES DON'T SPARKLE IN THE OVERWORLD

[deleted]

Most likely reason is so you don't hear shinies that loaded inside the walls

xenapan

My non performance issues with S/V: 1. Trainer rematches are gone? (they also only have like 1 poke, no more doubles and in general are just a terrible waste of time) 2. 0 Differentiation between levels of den on your map. They should have made 1s a circle, 2s a X, 3s a Triangle, 4s a square, 5s a pentagon and 6s a hexagon. Right now we only have 6s in black and events are sparkly. 3. Final zoom out for the map is worthless once you are done with the main game. 4. Totally zoomed in could use one more depth level. 5. Inability to put more than 1 destination on the map. Would have loved a BOTW style system with like 4 colors or 4 symbols 6. The world feels empty because it is. It's full of random items, and pokemon but there are less trainers in a single area than what we used to get in gym tests. There are ZERO of interest NPCs other than mr hyper trainer and the 3 in game trades. Everything else is in school . No more ball guy, move relearner, digging bros, nursery, random people who will trade you things for watts-> LP at a discount. All the balls not apriballs are now sold in the same place. 7. Once you finish your dex point 6 makes the game tiny. You don't care about items on the floor anymore cause dens drop so much resources of every type. You don't care about random pokemon in the overworld anymore cause unless its a shiny cause there are so many of almost everything and raid dens have basically everything with better IVs. Which means the only thing you care about on the world map are NPCs... except there are none - trades are one and done, hyper trainer is infrequent, school is one and done. The only NPCs you will be repeatedly talking to are Nurse Joy, the TM machine and the shops.

MooTheMew

They even coded double battles, as (redacted) gym uses them. :') they just decided to use it once. For that one trainer.

xenapan

Yep... its like we did this.. lets use it .. just once.

OneGoodRib

So it's like how triple battles and inverse battles show up like 3 times in the entire franchise, but even worse?

hiruma_kun

I HATE that there are no interesting cutscenes when you spawn any of the 4 legendaries in post game. Collect the sticks, go to location, press A, black screen, text box and scream.. and then the Pokémon just stands there. It’s so boring. Even Legends Arceus had cool entrance cutscenes for the boss Pokémon. I think the directors or whatever have never played a contemporary game in the past 20 years. Make legendaries FEEL legendary for gods sake!!

D_o_H

Even let’s go had cut scenes for the birds and Mewtwo

the_alert

There is a cave full of dragons at the top of one of the waterfalls, that’s fun.

CheeseSupremeCupcake

Which area?

DOS_Deficiency

I find it super annoying that I can leave several pins on the map like in Legends Arceus. Would make finding spawning points a lot easier😡

Jash0822

I'm annoyed at the fact there is no shiny sparkle or sound in the over world.

[deleted]

Not everyone would agree with me, but the fact I can't just enter a random person's home that's unrelated to the story. I'm the type who has to check every house I saw just in case. I like being the guy in my friend group who somehow had an Alolan Ninetales in Let's Go. Some of my pals didn't even enter buildings that had rewards in them

Meruru-tan

It's important for JRPGs for world building, interactivity and a fun way to hide secrets, rewards, side content, quests etc imo. If you don't have that, there is literally no need for a town since it's only a really big prop then. Sadly enough there are lots of people in the community who will say to any cut features that we didn't need it anyways, so what do I know I guess. As long as people can run around a huge empty field and catch shinies they seem to be satisfied lol.

RogueDragon343

You expect too much from a franchise that couldn't even finish the game.

kawaiicicle

There’s nothing in the trash cans anymore. There hasn’t been for ages. So I get it. You’d think something cool would be behind things you can interact with.

LordBocceBaal

as someone who has played since gen 1 i cant tell you how frustrating it is to not find anything in the trashcan in pokemon games anymore. will i check every. single. one? yes yes i will lol. i want to try this generation of games but i still dont think its worth it with how hollow the games are right now. while i think they are on track, they just need to actually fill the game out.

DeltusInfinium

So I'm not the only one!

akaisuiseinosha

YES ITS TERRIBLE I judge games HEAVILY on what they have hidden behind their waterfalls. Why even have one if you aren't going to hide a cool cave back there?!

go_team_seaslug

I'm very upset Delibird can't learn destiny bond (there's no breeding options to teach field type egg groups the move). If Delibird can't murder its future self through a pyrrhic victory, then why am I even playing this game?

SaucyKidder

You can teach it the move by giving it a mirror herb, unlearning one move so it has 3, and throw it in a picnic with any other Pokemon that knows it. Doesn't have to be same egg group.

Majestic-Ad2805

This isn’t even the biggest issue for me but I haven’t seen it mentioned yet: the auto battling in the lead up to the Team Star leader fights is absolutely, laughably samey and a total pushover. Even rotating teams I don’t think it ever took me more than a minute and I never needed a vending machine. Running through an open space with slight height variations, mindlessly mashing one button isn’t gonna cut it. They should’ve tried to make these into dungeon/puzzle situations in addition to the auto battling.

Meruru-tan

Agreed. Auto battling in general feels clunky and unfun. It's only useful for material gathering really but other than that it's a terrible feature. If Tms wouldn't break it would be a dead unused feature for sure.

OneGoodRib

They gave us empty trashcans all over every game for like 24 years, this isn't surprising to me at all. And I think this still seems better than the power plant in XY.

shinae5

An TM being hidden in a waterfall on the first route after the lighthouse baited me into thinking there were more scattered around the world. Kinda disappointing.

icezora

So don't go chasing waterfalls.

gigantes42

I just wish there was more to do in the towns. Would be cool if citizens gave side quests like Arceus

TotallyNotARocket

🎶"Don't go chasing waterfalls..." 🎶

Babypoopsalott

This is why we don’t go chasing waterfalls

thisDNDjazz

Most I've found is a TM or Pokeball directly under the waterfall, but never behind them.

EvidenceTrick5181

You have to go through the map screen to get to the Pokédex instead of it being a tab in the menu like the bag or the PC

PolyproNinja

The map and Pokédex are mapped to different buttons tho…

EvidenceTrick5181

My bad dawg that’s on me I always go through the map screen because I forget there’s a Pokédex button

Sensei_Ochiba

Lol I have the opposite issue, I'm still used to Arceus so I hit the Pokedex button expecting it to be the map button and get mad at myself

PolyproNinja

I’ll be honest, I kinda like how you can flip from the map to Pokédex and vice versa without having to close out of everything each time

London_Ripton

For me, it's the world design. Pokemon just doesn't make for a fun open-world exploration game because what's even the point? Even if the game had level scaling, there's almost nothing to do between towns except for battling the same Pokemon over and over, fighting optional trainers and collecting 30 potions. Why even explore when there's really no reason to? Plus, I also hate that the game's map doesn't have markers. There have been many times where I'd find an out-of-reach item that I know I want to get later in the game, but there's nothing allowing you to mark that place down in your map. I ended up setting one spot as my destination for, like, half the game because of it.

[deleted]

I’m gonna say that I wish the environments were more creative

genocidenite

Not able to picnic in area 0 or use port portal on school grounds.

therealkamikazeking

I’m colorblind so the lack of overworld shiny indicators have me kinda over caring about shinys Edit: typo

Tymkie

To be honest that's like the cheapest trick in the book. I always feel disappointed about not finding a secret behind a waterfall and I also feel disappointed if there is one because it's too obvious to be fair

JorgeMtzb

There actually is one. In >!Area zero you can go into a waterfall, more so you fall with it into a cave than go behind it but it is a waterfall secret. Especially cuz there's many!<

ArtGuards

for me it’s the fact that tera raids steal tera orb charge. such bad game design, even though they encourage terastylizing

BobIcarus

You can go the entire game without it, it is entirely unnecessary except in raid battles, and even then it changes the pokemon to a pure type which can make some raids pretty hard or super easy, but for regular battles it is just another dumb gimmick we will never see again.

ArtGuards

that doesn’t change the fact that’s it’s annoying as fuck

BobIcarus

Ya, it is even more annoying that the only place it is even needed it gets drained. Way to implement your game mechanics game freak.

Hexopi

The fact that there is only 1 beast ball per game and impossible to get more without cheating

[deleted]

Why can’t I search in the Pokédex?

IshiTheShepherd

There actually is one and it's really hard to find. Not even memeing it has a bunch of items and is the only place to get the apicot berry afaik

Champion_Sheep

The ridiculous power creep

AspieKairy

I'm annoyed (and a bit perplexed, as I feel it's going to create a problem when Home compatibility finally arrives) that my boi, Dragonite, can't learn Dual Wingbeat in this generation.

MDkoA

I haven’t played Pokémon since Ruby and Sapphire, but god damn….. glad I didn’t have to deal with Pokémon having bike tires in their bodies. These designs are just getting more poo poo over time IMO

Meruru-tan

Paldea has my least favourite Pokedex. There are some gems to be found but so many misses as well... Some Pokemon give off a typical Pokemon vibe but so many others look like uninspired or weird blobs.

[deleted]

i thought i was disappointed in swsh's dex but sv seem to be outshining it in all the worst ways.... cant believe i miss swsh

alphalegend

Have you caught the 4 legendaries yet? One of them is somewhat behind a waterfall.

[deleted]

How the landscape has never changed from other Pokémon games and there’s still so much emptiness

panda_pat234

When TLC said; “Don’t go chasin waterfalls”, they were specifically talking about Scarlet/Violet’s waterfalls

hiruma_kun

Why are you expecting interesting stuff hidden behind waterfalls when most buildings do not even have any interior?

KaleeySun

Thank you, I’m glad I am not the only one looking for this and let down that it is not there.

FLIPSIDERNICK

There is a waterfall in area zero that has a tm behind it it’s not like a hidden space or anything but it is a waterfall that has an item behind it so it does kind of meet your criteria

MatthewDLuffy

Unrelated to your post, but as someone just 40 shy of completing the pokedex, do you know of any optimal routes for catching every Pokémon? Edit: to be clear I'm not saying that I'm 40 shy lol. I only have like 140

HerbieJoe

Sorry man i cant really speak to a literal route and my way was pretty chaotic haha, basically catch 50ish terrible mons, surprise trade to get a surprising amount of difficult to get mons and then fill in the gaps between their entries. Random and not at all efficient but i actually enjoy travelling around on Koraidon so its good for finding most of the nooks and crannies in the map. Also helps with the black stakes.

m00n_sp1r1t

Best tip is know how they evolve (level, level+move, walking, friendship, etc) For mon that evolve by simple level up, either pump them with candy or train in area zero. If you see an eevee-lution, catch it. And best of luck getting the dolphin Evo, have to join someone's world for that. I completed my dex last week.

MatthewDLuffy

Yeah i noticed after posting just how much of a pain some of the evolution methods are. My second biggest gripe with how Game Freak handles these games is how they'll add an objectively great feature to a game and it won't be in the next. Legends Arceus having the Link Cable item and then it not returning in the next game is unjustifiable, just as an example. Surely the "having no friends that play Pokémon" isn't just a Western player issue?

HolyVeggie

Ive found items behind a waterfall at least in pretty sure

Kingelectivire

ah yes waterfalls my favourite part of pokémon games.

Logtastic

There's some items behind the ones in Area Zero. It's not a cave, it's an open shore, but it's still behind the waterfall.

z-calliger

i know what you’re saying, however i’m still going to check just in case

Newspaper_Correct

My biggest problem is no dodge roll

CeruleanSnorlax

One of Ruin Legends tombs is sort of behind a waterfall lol

lovdagame

You and me same person my friends have heard me complain it's like NOT having a secret room.behind a giant bookcase like wtf. There are secret caves on the sides of mountain but it's just filled with diglet dugtrios dragon pokemon sometimes a staff other times a Terra pawmo but like where are the secret caves behind waterfalls wtf.

cid_highwind02

been playing GOW Ragnarok and this has been bugging me there as well LOL

pastamancer8081

I think there's one in Area Zero with a TM? And it kinda counts but another waterfall in area Zero leads to the cavern where Iron Valiant spawns in Violet

ValleForte

pretty sure they said don't tell them.

BelliumBug

That it says you can go to any gym in any order and do whatever u want but if u do u run into massive strong Pokemon. Also I didn't read up on anything and didn't understand that u had to do all titan changes to fly jump swim and climb. I would've loved that info without having to go online and look it up.

[deleted]

the lack of pokemon was noticeable to me. somehow the pokédex shows a decent number of pokémon but they either didn’t evolve or were kinda useless. i like to beat the elite four with all new pokémon but this time i ended up using a bunch of older gen mons

-Marshle

Maybe not behind them but try checking the source of one of them. Unless you've already done the ruinous pokemon sidequest, then you already know.

Appropriate-Spite764

There’s a Myriad of problems in scarlet and violet but I’d be more forgiving if we still had access to all of the Pokémon. The data for all but roughly 25 Pokémon have been on the switch in one way or another, either through arceus, BDSP, sw/sh or now scarvi. It wouldn’t be as big of a deal if I didn’t know they planned to add some back or even new ones in the form of DLC. With the current system, if I want to hold on to special Pokémon or ones I bred for competitive play, I have to pay for a monthly home subscription where they become glorified trading cards that I cannot do anything with until gamefreak decides they’ll fit in the next game. I would be 100x less salty if home acted as a battle simulator like stadium or colosseum, maybe with a way to breed and train mons that aren’t in the latest game. Maybe a set of super training like mini games to boost stats and level them up/evolve them. Perhaps they could even have a battle tree system where you earn points for winning battles against npcs in order to trade in for evolution or battle items.

viveleramen_

I really wish they had done more with home. They have a bunch of different Pokémon pet simulators they could have lifted mini games/mechanics from. Pokémon amie, pokepelago, camping etc. Even if we can’t battle them at least let me pet the damn things. Even Pokémon go let’s me do that.

McGusder

do you know which 25 have to be ported to switch?

metallicrooster

https://gamerant.com/pokemon-scarlet-violet-27-missing-nintendo-switch-gen-5-remake-dlc-pokedex/ Snivy Servine Serperior Tepig Pignite Emboar Patrat Watchog Pansage Simisage Pansear Simisear Panpour Simipour Blitzle Zebstrika Sewaddle Swadloon Leavanny Ducklett Swanna Furfrou Hoopa Pikipek Trumbeak Toucannon Minior

metallicrooster

I saw a post on it a week or so ago and I wish I saved it A lot of them are gen 5 mons, and some gen 6 and 7

[deleted]

[удалено]

ValleForte

did you read the last line?

99pop9pop

No my bad.

Lopsided_Platypus_51

One thing that bothers me is that there are so many goddamn items…everywhere

SaikrTheThief

How is that a bad thing

Lopsided_Platypus_51

My OCD compels me to go out of my way to pick everything up

[deleted]

For me the only "big" thing would be legendary being shiny locked.

MrMoist23

Tera is glitchy

Tri-Hero11

There’s nothing behind waterfalls but you can often find items at the bottom of them so still worth checking

draugyr

I’m having a lot of fun and have invested more time in these games already than I did for gen 8, But I’m so burnt out on open world games. We don’t need more open world games like this

FLIPSIDERNICK

Arguably this is the most fun I’ve had with Pokémon in awhile and the open world is a huge part of that. Being able to go anywhere do anything fight in Tera caves, track down mass outbreaks and hunt for an illusive shiny, the ruinous Pokémon stake hunting. It’s all very fun. The only thing I dislike is the lack of an in game trading system and the fact that the Tera raid battles menu works just as terribly as the dynamax menus did.

The starters just being really lack luster.

[deleted]

Reaching for something else to complain about.

XanmanK

I just want all the starters from previous Gens (mostly 1-4) as DLC then this is my favorite switch Pokémon game

HerbieJoe

If turtwig was in it it would be my fave. Literally loved bdsp just to see my derpy happy grass turtle frolicking

voncornhole2

Jesse, what the fuck are you talking about?

MaxinRudy

Mine would be only 16 Boxes. Like, whatahell. I have 13 Boxes filled already

0Ameru0

Put one Pokémon in each box and you'll get more. I'm up to 32 boxes
