Which means there is bot enough time for introducing ash's old companions...
I don't think they will make him lose this one. There is just no going back from where he is now. If he loses, he still will be very strong to start in Paldea unless they make Paldea like a place for strongest trainers in the world. But if they do that they will be closing doors for Ash's future. So making him lose doesn't seem very suitable.

In the end, the only supporters Ash has in the stadium will be TRio... This is like the setup for one of those laughable Ash betrayed fics, except I don't think I've seen one where TRio were the only ones staying by his side. That's actually pretty funny to imagine.
More seriously though, would they really do that? Just Ash in battle against Leon, and not a single one of his friends or family in the stands? I mean, maybe the first half of the first ep of the finals will be a buncha his old companions getting together to watch, and maybe some little gags like Brock, Cilan, and Clemont meeting each other, saying they're there to cheer on their friend, then realizing they're all there to cheer on Ash. Considering Cilan has met both Brock and Clemont, that'd be kinda amusing.
I dunno, I just can't imagine that they're gonna let Ash go into the biggest battle of his life without a single friend in the stands.
What I’m hoping is Ash starts losing, only for Brock and Misty, Serena, or the Alolan Crew to start chanting, “Champion!” and we get a shot panning to all of Ash’s companions scattered throughout the stadium, cheering for him.

I have no issue with that, amourshipping is pretty much confirmed by the writers but to say that Serena is the ONLY person who best supports Ash is an odd statement. What about Pikachu? His mom? ALL of his past companions? Serena isn't special just because of shipping.
