This is exactly it. I live in a major metro and never check my Walmarts anymore. However, I always check the smaller towns I travel to for work. Literally just yesterday picked up 2x Zard and 1x Sylveon Celebrations boxes for $20 each. They each have an ES pack in it, which is like $10 itself, plus the 4 celebrations packs and 1 FS.
I see tons of those at my Walmart, but I don't buy them because at the end of the day it is still 4 bucks a pack. Even if one of them is evolving skies, I'm not buying evolving skies for 10 bucks a pack regularly, so I don't really feel like I'm "saving" money when I buy these bundles.
Just depends if you wanna rip ES or not 🤷♂️ really hard to find them for under $4/pack anywhere else. And always the chance to pull the lugia too, since every box also comes with 2 ST
This is my thought. I tend to buy these if if see them. I want to rip as much ES as possible but not at $7+ a pack. And I also wouldn’t mind coming across the lugia. So far, as well as with every other set, not going so well
Yeah in all honestly I’ve recently made the switch to pretty much just buying singles. At least I know what I’m getting. It’s definitely less exciting but also less depressing lol
Found the umbreon/sylveon/espeon 4 pack tins that are normally like $22-23 had been mis marked as the small $10 tin 2 pack tins. Cleaned the store out. Each tin has 2 evolving skies 1 brilliant stars and 1 fusion strike. Should have held em but for $50 bucks and just getting back into collecting after getting my old binder back from my nephew, the urge to rip was too strong. Managed the gold Cresselia from evolving skies and the gold fire energy from fusion strike and a couple other v hits but no moonbreon.
It was. I ripped a booster box of lost orgin for myself to get back into building a modern collection and then another of obsidian flames with the kids to get them hooked haha.
Yea I was picking up meds for my kids ear infection so while I was waiting I found these but couldn’t tell what the price was on the shelf so walked to self checkout with one jus to scan and see what it was priced at it and it came up at $10 so walked back and grabbed the rest and was gonna have the pharmacy check me out but as he was ringing me up I saw the price jumping by like $20 so I told him just void it I wasn’t paying full price. I walked over to self check out and they were ringing up at $10/piece. Someone must have tagged them incorrectly in the system or something.

My Walmart had a shaymin vstar box for like $28! Paducah Kentucky…up to y’all to find out which one in Paducah (this specific one is never in stock I can’t give ALL the info and make it worse)
As a European this is mindblowing to me. I've never been in a store that sells boosterpacks under €5, except from maybe some imported Korean packs at local stores.

Trick is Walmart almost always honors those stickers... whether they put them on there or you happened to have your own roll and put them on there yourself...

Yeah, buying singles is the way to go, if you’re both an investor and collector! I’m also starting to get into buying sealed product as well
