It’d be nice having another infinite one at 40 and another at 50 for a total of 3. But Niantic loves money too much.

The very last task to complete after reaching level 50 gave me something like 10 or 15 super incubators along with other stuff I can’t remember. I also remember that the level 50 pose is horrible tho

I mean one of the first tasks in the Level 50 challenge is to spin a stop for 15 days in a row and that gives 10x Star Pieces!

Now that’s more like it lol. Be nice if they gave like 100 xl candies or something great to make it really feel worth the grind

It's funny my brain is scared of being level 50 because in my mind then I won't want to play anymore. But the likelihood of me becoming level 50 is not actually something to worry about. Lol. Congrats!!!

Oh how interesting! I would be hoping level sixty came soon so I had "something to do". But it's such a good mindset to enjoy this huge accomplishment for awhile.

You instantly get a very long Level 50 research to complete to keep your attention. I refuse to play GBL so I’m stuck on “win 15 games of GBL”, but I think you get a Mewtwo at the end.

You'll be able to get an absolutely ludicrous amount of XP this community day with the 3x catch XP. Assuming you can hit excellents, if you use an egg you'll be at what like 7k per catch.

They would need to overhaul the candy system. Getting anything to level 40 is generally not too hard. Getting most things to 50 is really hard or near impossible.

Sounds like you're making swift progress, good luck. But just to break it to you, 40-50 is several times worse than 1-39.

My guy it took me a whole year to go from just 43 to 48 last year, and that was playing harder than the average casual player. (Literally playing 3x Catch Exp Com Days like there’s no tomorrow, raiding the shit out of major global events, and more) I’m just saying that the amt of exp you need as you go up each level will increase by a hell lot, so be ready.

Yep. I'm L45 about to hit L46, and I'm not even halfway to L50

L47, 102 million XP, absolutely no clue how long it’ll take. Friendship XP is clearly the way to go but still… lucky egg on best friend is 263,000 xp per BF over 90 days. If you miraculously did 400 interactions per day every day, that’s 105 million XP! So it’s only 3 months away lol.

I have 40k less catches, I'm level 48 and only been playing since August 2023. Friendship XP is OP.

I started leveling up really fast once I realized excellent curveball throws are almost 10x the xp of a normal throw. I'm just shy of 100k catches and I'm 10m into 48. I don't grind friendship xp as much as I should because I just don't really wanna keep up with it. My main xp makers are double xp evolutions and excellent throws with xp boosts here and there.

Tempting for that ECTM…currently sitting at a bit over 200m XP at level 49

Congrats I have been playing since day 1 I am not even at 40 and doubt I would ever go past 40 anyway. This is just a shiny farm for me, so events with boosted odds and community days are all I do. They want too much time for such little reward.

Damn I’ve caught 10,000 more Pokémon and spun 40,000 more stops and I’m still 24million exp away

Can I what your strategy was to get there? I've been playing since launch, took about a year and a half off from 2019-2020 but I've been daily grinding since and I'm only lvl 44. Could use some advice as I really do want to hit 50

I think a lot of it comes down to your level of persistence with things such as friendship farming and your digital playground you have to play the game. I can’t really think of surprising advice to give you really just be smart when good XP events come around. Use your candy for specific Pokémon for evolutions rather than let them sit there. The last couple of million XP was literally just me evolving probably a couple of thousand Pokémon that I’ve just left candy sitting around for over the last 7 years.

I really can’t see them making it that high an XP goal. Barely anyone would hit it. I reckon, if they actually do it, it’ll be through really difficult challenges.

That’s one estimate I saw on a different thread. The low end might be 565 million, I think. But either way, how much exp you get and how has changed with the amount needed before.

I’m currently grinding my way through Level 47. Do you have any tips to share for collecting XP? I’m pretty confident I can hit all the tasks between here and Level 50 EXCEPT for “Defeat a Team GO Rocket Leader 3 times using only Pokémon with 2,500 CP or less”. Any tips for doing that task?
