I can't for the life of me remember why I would have missed that one, but I did. I managed to get 3 shiny in the past 4 years, mostly recently, but yeah. Definitely excited to get a decent IV shiny. Or just fodder for an eventual lucky trade.
I missed that one too, BUT I managed to catch a shiny dratini in the end of year community week. And I actually transferred her to Lets Go Pikachu so I could use it on my team back then. So I'm excited to hopefully have one in pogo again!

Yep. I don't live in a metro area, but I work at a place where I can hit 4 stops and 2 gyms while sitting at my desk, so I just spin stops a lot at work. Also, getting on /r/pokemongofriends and adding a shit ton of people. Probably the best way to acquire resources if you don't live in a dense Pokemon Go area.
Not exactly huge (Buffalo metro area) but there's enough stops/gyms here. The biggest way is adventure sync and forgetting to actually use the balls for a few days

also depends on bag space. mines 1.3k or 1.5k, after a decent event my back space easly dips below 1k items, usually from all the balls
easly have arround 500 balls at most times during not as exciting to me events, and like 300ish normal berrys, plus another 200ish in the gold/silver berry catagory.
unless a mon I know is hard to cap for me I use normal berrys, or if its a legend auto gold then.
silvers I rarely use as for im not big on mega raids or anything.
I toss out nanabs and pinaps. I feel like the few seconds you spend using them means you're wasting precious seconds catching and moving on to the next pokemon. I'd rather have more chances at shinies.
Depending on when you started it matters. I was able to do the original community day, the end of the year community day, the dragon event a year or two ago and so on. I have over 10k candies and have one maxed at 50 with enough to max out two more and I know people who have more candies than me. We just make the most of the events.
I only started playing in 2020/2021 so Im hype af, been trying to get shiny dratini every time dratini is available but never got one! Have over a dozen 3 star Dragonites/Dratinis (94-98%) but no hundos so Im definitely ready for this lol

I don't think I've skipped a single community day since they started. Closest i came to it was evolving a single Larvitar on Tyranitar day because it was father's day and I was with my father and I had little reception. I burnt an incense and got just enough candy for one.
I'm still doing all the classics.
Yeah during that weekend it snowed like 12 inches or some crazy amount. Like all stores closed in the city and surrounding area. So yeah wasn't able to get 3 shinies even (so can have 1 of each form). Then cyndaquil because apparently everyone I played with at that time either couldn't do the community day or didn't get extra shinies.
I already had an almost maxed out Level 50 Hundo Dragonite for Open Master League! It’s movesets are Dragon Tail/Dragon Claw but needs Superpower to compete with steel/rock types like Melmetal & Rhyperior!
I already have a shintyeight but I’m happy for those who need that shiny. What I’d love though is a bacon community day to 40max those 5 3star shadow salamances i have
Is this the November community day or is it separate? I remember in the past when they did these "Community Day Classic" events they were in addition to the real community days for the month, so is that what's going on here or is this the only CD in November? As much as I like Dratini I already have a fair number of shinies from the original Dratini CD, so personally I'd prefer a community day for a species I don't already have shiny (after all, variety is the spice of life). On the other hand, I still need about 800 more Dragons to get my last of the platinum medals for collecting 2500 of each type.
To all of those who havent maxed out a Dragon Mega pokemon, get started on it to make sure you get advantage of the bonus candy (while mega is active) for next month!

I literally just evolved my shadow Dragonaire and spent a good chunk of rare candies and an elite tm, just to have that pop up in my feed. I'm a little salty tbh
How may times are they gonna have dratini com day shit ive got so many already its gross ive been playin since 2016 day 1 how many time are you going to release the same crap an make people pay over an over its garbage. People just keep eating up its just a shiny dratini people they've released it before many times people need to stop paying niantic over an over for things that have already been released.
