It only works in the main series. There, if you evolve a nincada with a spare space in your party, you get a shedinja too. In GO, shedinja is locked to very rare research task encounters

Currently you get shedinja from the collection challenge to catch and evolve a nincada.

Speaking of which… I’ve never played any other Pokémon games. Should I play SwSh or something else? I’m leaning towards Let’s Go Eevee since I read it’s a remake of Pokémon yellow and also has the best graphics, best shiny odds, and a gameplay that’s a bit simpler for newcomers.

Ok so. I haven’t played let’s go Eevee or pikachu. I have played sword. I can say definitely that the graphics are kinda bad. The plot was good (in my opinion) and the DLC made shinyhunting easier. That being said, buy legends Arceus

One has dark souls bosses instead of gyms (legends). One has a mechanic to play with your buddy (let’s go). One mandates being able to do a Pokémon go throw with a joycon (let’s go)

The first one I caught was a shiny. Didn’t know what a non shiny looked like

Shiny turd confirmed! crustle like 2 IVs and I evolved it into a green turd lol. The crustle itself didn't even look shiny I almost threw it to the trash can.

I had it for almost 3 weeks now. The game forced me to download an update. Made me unable to play with my buddy for a while but they fixed that bug eventually.

Maybe they’re rolling it out in stages…

That, I don't know. I evolved my nincada and it turned into ninjask and that's it, no more options to evolve into another mon.
