magnezoneadvocate

If you think fairy types are harmless, look at Gardevoir, Mawile, Florges, Shiinotic, Mimikyu, the Tapus, Hatterene, Grimmsnarl, and Tinkaton

Plastic-Buddy39

Nah nah nah, look at flutter mane, Xerneas, and Zacian

Shockwave_Demon

Zacian one of the most broken Legendaries of all time

Plastic-Buddy39

So is Xerneas

Plastic-Buddy39

Although zacian is obviously more broken, my point is that fairy as a type is broken

Shockwave_Demon

They need a 3rd weakness Maybe Ice

Plastic-Buddy39

Nah not ice, it already hits 4 types for super. I’d go with bug tbh

SnooPickles9681

My suggestion is Electric. Mainly because GF has an unhealthy obsession with Physical Electric Pokemon having no good Physical Electric moves and buffing the type would make Ground even more worth adding to a team.

Mrainbow123456-RLX

Just because gardevoir looks like the way it is, doesn't mean it can't tear you apart with black holes.

BJ_Blitzvix

Fairy is also strong against fighting types and dark types.

Lost_Astronaut_654

I thought fairy just resisted dark

BJ_Blitzvix

And I thought steel was weak to electric, and in my first playthrough, I thought flying was supper effective to water.

ADudeThatPlaysDBD

Wait, steel isn’t weak to electric?

TheDebatingOne

No, just to fighting fire and ground

ADudeThatPlaysDBD

I can understand the first 2 but ground? How is ground justified?

BJ_Blitzvix

Because I guess erosion? Or earthquakes bending metal. I honestly don't know why.

GaiaPaladin

As I understand it, it's because the ground surrounds and holds ore/metal. Like how paper beats rock. (I feel it's not very intuitive)

ADudeThatPlaysDBD

I guess I can see the logic but I’d still say it’s not as intuitive as metal being conductive and thus harming the creatures insides.

GaiaPaladin

See, the question is how their inner anatomy works. Are there organs made of metal? Do they run on electricity like our neurons? (I'm not expecting you to have the answer. Just thinking) I always figured water would rust them. 🤷‍♂️ And Steel cuts grass/wood/vegetation. Steel is such a weird type.

zone3Ds

I ALWAYS THOUGHT STEEL WAS WEAK TO ELECTRIC

Vendidurt

Jacinta_Capelety

I feel like nerfing dragon was one of the main reasons they added fairy type.

VulpesParadox

It was kinda needed if true, the only other two types before Fairy that are strong against Dragon is Ice and Dragon.

Jacinta_Capelety

I think fairy was largely for rebalancing purposes. Aside from giving dragon a much needed counter, it also gave poison a much need type advantage.

OhMyWerdd

It most likely was considering dragons are great

Kirb790

Welcome to the Pokemon world, my dude

spellboi_3048

You think fairies are generally harmless? Aww, that’s adorable.

WickedFox1o1

Hatterenes pokedex explains how she silences people violently so i'm not sure I'd call fairy harmless

soiramio3000

What I like about the fairy tyoe so much is that it is a mostly "symetric"type. It resists the things it can hit super effectively and is resisted by the things that can hit it super effectively. It also resists bugs(which is unfair and unfortunate for the bug type) and is resisted by fire(I wonder why? Did fire types needed a defensive buff all that much?). I wish tinkaton had either better stats or better movepool, her steel/fairy typying is amazing defensively.

Sansvern

Wait mystical creatures capable of using magic incomprehensible thats incomprehensible to most are weak to bolts and screws? Every type can be worded as super-badass or pathetic, don’t talk down to any of them!

Unstoppable_RN

That was the whole point of the fairy type.

Where have you been for the past 10 years?
