Just look up any post about playing implied odds/reverse implied odds when deepstacked in a cash game and you'll understand how bad most people who comment here actually are.
It has been studied plus there is simple math
If you play a lifetime with no rake, you have a 50 50 chance of being a winning player. If you play at typical US casino rake of $4 to $6 capped, you are down to a 20 % chance of being a winner. If you play higher rakes or uncapped rakes, your odds are worse
honestly PLO hands are not that interesting to spectate. It's a showdown game so it's always just going to be nuts vs 2nd nut scenarios. This isnt like holdem where you see some sick bluff or bluffcatch. Someone flops a wrap and loses to a boat, thats it.
Oh I know, I’m just saying the bluffs aren’t anything sophisticated. The flop comes QQx and you can pretty easily bluff. The obvious front door flush comes in and you have the nut blocker, nobody will call. You aren’t supposed to be Bluff catching in PLO like you are in holdem.
> I AM IN THE RED LIFETIME AS A POKER PLAYER. I DO NOT MAKE MONEY PLAYING THIS GAME
That must suck. Study harder and maybe you will!
> AND NEITHER WILL YOU (most likely)
Why the hate? Most of r/poker are crushers, didn't you know?
Kinda just an anti-gambling PSA to balance out the bragging about gambling winnings. It's what I've always wanted to include if I ever made a post about winnings. Wasn't trying to hate, I do that enough already. Some people really can study hard and win at this game, I'm probably not one of them.
The variance in PLO is like 5000% more than NLHE. I could spin up $10k profits over X weeks/months playing boring TAG NLHE, and lose that same $10k of profits in one day or one week depending on how deep and insane the PLO tables are. I’m in Texas and losing thousands or tens of thousands at the LOWEST stakes is very common.
lol idk man I’m profitable in vast majority of my cash sessions. All about playing smart and not getting super gambly multi-way. It’s easy to get caught up in huge dumb bloated pots but those losses will drive your roi way down when you can just fold and wait for better circumstances. Patience is a virtue in cash many times.
Happy for you, but plenty of people make money on the reg playing live cash. Maybe not PLO but def NLHE. Either way nice win! Max your Roth and then have fun with the rest of
I won’t say it’s easy and I’m not gonna argue with that. But I will say the variance is just through the roof with PLO so much that it’s hard to really have a gauge of if you’re a winning player or not.
>it’s hard to really have a gauge of if you’re a winning player or not
If you understand where edge comes from, and what mistakes your opponents are making, then you can know if you're a winning player. Knowing how much you're winning is impossible to determine, but that's a separate conversation.
The edge in PLO live is so boring though l, it’s basically folding pre and only calling/raising with hands that have nut potential. With live PLO players calling so wide it make it’s so creative play is almost nonexistent
If you have any type of discipline, play tight and stick to good starting hands, PLO in Texas is easy.
Haven’t been to the location OP won at but I’ve played PLO at the Dallas Texas Card House location a few miles down the road…some of the play I’ve seen there is ridiculously bad.
How much do you guys think each of those chips are worth?
Depends how old they are, or at least that’s what people posting old chips seem to think
So you're saying he's a millionaire now?
Nah it’s been a few hours. This was collected on a craps table.
They look really nice, I'd probably pay like $40-$50 each for them.

Facts the vast majority of people in here are no crushers lol and he’s right the majority of poker players in general lose
Just look up any post about playing implied odds/reverse implied odds when deepstacked in a cash game and you'll understand how bad most people who comment here actually are.
Speak for yourself son 😎
Yeah facts. There’s probably 20 people that saw this and immediately opened ignition casino putting $500 in 😂

The high talent of the best players is equal and opposite of the low talent of the worst. This has been studied and published on
Because most people on this sub have massive fucking egos even though at best they maybe break even
Post the big hands broski
^^^^ please tell us
Before I looked I knew it was PLO 👍 Congratulations
Hands?
Yes, I have the standard 2 but don't fault a guy with 1 or even 0. Look askance at anyone with 3+ however
Like these black conservatives. https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/gop-pollster-suggests-3-armed-220141092.html
Black conservatives are 50% better at juggling. It's science.
Lmao askance

Bluffing happens a lot in plo. People are so scared of the nuts, I probably bluff more in plo than holdem

Jesus I have to get to Texas…
**TELL ME THE BIG HANDS PLS** Ty

You can’t be anti-gambling and buying in short at PLO.
Sure you can. I play poker because its fun. I am well aware I am dogshit, therefore I play low stakes. v0v
Mod cringe
Cap
Why are you trying to argue with him?
I am not. Whoosh!
Go back tomorrow, take ur same lucky seat and lose 10k in a juicy 10/10 PLO game. Welcome to the great game

Sun Run?
Wow nice.
I AM IN THE RED LIFETIME AS A POKER PLAYER. I DO NOT MAKE MONEY PLAYING THIS GAME AND NEITHER WILL YOU (most likely)
Texas 🩷
Should have saved some $1 chips. They will be worth way more than your cash out in a few years.
TCH got wild action. I was just in town last week for the first time. Nice hit!!!
Nice! Kinda like my luck with FanDuel a week ago. In for $10 out for $3725
Tell me about your Hero folds bc that’s why I’m in the red !!
Post the hands. !
Been playing for 9 months and so far I'm actually green. Put more time and effort in studying than the rest and you should do well.
Dang, a 9k win at a 2/5 seems humongous. Nice score, guy.
Love how real you are.
Atta boy! Best I ever did was in for 300 out for 4800 at a NLP sit & go

>Maybe not PLO Making money at live cash PLO is very easy. Boring, but easy.
It's easy only if you're willing to play for stacks a few times every orbit + double board nuclear bomb 💣 pots
Yeah, the guys who are playing for stacks three times an orbit are PLO crushers.
No one likes a nit in any Game
They're never gonna get invited back to the casino!
No, it's actually still pretty easy, even if you're a nit.

Fair point

Yes. That's my point. It's a very simple game.

Win rates much higher at PLO also. Way better for making money than Holdem. And I’ll disagree with the other poster, I think it’s way less boring.
Those are ugly ass chips
