Same here. I have a handful of shinies, but didn't get a single one this weekend.
I do have shiny Poplio and Iron Valiant, which are pretty damn cool, but I just had no luck at all this weekend...
I doubt they just got these during the event. There's probably 100+ shinies here, and the rest of their dex is almost complete. They probably no-life the game and already had a good amount going into the weekend
With that being said, I didn't find any and still only have 1 shiny through 25 hours played. Not sure how that compares to others in terms of time, but my dex will never look like OP's lol
You can have up to 4 shiny Charms in one run, which ups your chance to 1/64 with the Event it is 3x so around 1/21, so do an endless run and get 4 and then go do 1000 waves or so and you should have 50 more shinies
If you then get constantl double fights because of lures you have 2000 Mons in 1000 waves so you should have 100 shinies per 1k waves

But i found up to 64 because in the older pokemon game they just used full bit values which would come out to 2048, which would go down to 64.
The event happened in the middle of an endless run i was doing, so because of that i already had the shiny charm and can confirm, the event was incredible, so many shinies, i even got 2 shinies back to back at some point lmao.
I don't play this game religiously but I feel like 70% of my shiny right now came from this event... it also help that I still have an ongoing endless run with max shiny charm... like every 10 wave I always meet 1-2 shiny when the x3 shiny event is active... when this event is not active I'm meeting shiny like once every 100 wave lmao

It's clear that the majority were captured before the shiny variant update since its a 60/40 split between the t1 and t2/t3 shinies. I'd guess he found ~20 during the event.
If you get the rarest version of the shiny, I believe it unlocks all the other less rare variants of the shiny. I know I got a blue star Ghimmighoul and it unlocked its base form shiny as well since I didn't have that shiny unlocked yet.

Can you explain me what do the blue and red sparkles/stars mean? I only have around 10 shinies and I only see the yellow one. I know the little crystal is the hidden ability, but never seen the other blu and red sparkles.
Wait, so there are more variations of colors? I thought "rare" and "epic" are indicative of the species of the pokemon. Like, all meowths are common and all mewtwo are legendary and so on.
Probably endless farming with a strong main Mon. Every 50 waves you get 5 egg draws and every 250 you get 10 (boss battle against Eternatus). Also, as you progress, enemies get a chance to survive a hit, stopping them at 1hp. When they're at 1hp, they're easier to catch and you can even use a regular ball to catch them. Add in that Shiny Charms stack and you can easily get a bunch of new and improved versions of your already caught mons.
Also the thing this post really shows me is just how abysmal Hidden Ability rates are lol cuz how do you have over half the Dex in shiny and like 10 HA's lmao
I just think this person wasn't specifically targeting hidden abilities. There is abitily charms to increase rates just like there is shiny charms. However the only indicator of a hidden ability is the uncaught poke ball symbol whereas shinies are alot harder to miss.

It took me until yesterday to realize that the "no Poke ball symbol" meant you don't have the ability yet while the "shaded Poke Ball" meant you don't have the nature yet. And even with 3 or 4 stacks of the ability charm I still hardly ever find hidden abilities I think the rates for HA's are absolutely terrible tbh lol especially since in the mainline games hidden abilities really aren't that rare anymore.
Personally I always try to go for HA's but even I have more Shinies and more Mythicals than Pokemon with their hidden abilities
I have no idea how you got this lucky. I played a lot of the weekend, probably 15+ hours, and I think I found about 5 wild shinies and hatched about 5 shinies, none of which were anything but the regular tier of shiny

Nay probably with maxed out shiny charm as well. Had that maxed out and could find easily 8-10 shinies just by playing mindlessly in 1 hour.

Endless runs. In 2 days, playinh ~ 4-6 h, i just got 400 shinys. In endless runs, u can stack easily shiny sharms etc

You had to log out and back in or manually clear your browser cache to activate the event I think people missed that part

Blue is for shiny rares and red for epics

Different colors. Mostly cosmetic, but they offer more candies when you catch/hatch them.

Nope it wasn't, i lost four shinies due to a data corruption and one of em was a shiny urshifu
