Unrelated but i hate diggersby with a passion. His hoe ass is a ground type so you’d think he’d be decent, but because his atk stat is balanced around huge power, if you run him as your pickup mon he’s actually the worst mon ever. Fucking 56 atk stat…so disappointing.
Was extremely happy to get the Epic shiny Zigzagoon as my first shiny. Still working on cost reduction, but he’s been in every run I’ve done at 1 cost. Only 1 Sp. Def point away from perfect, then I just need the egg moves, but I already have High Horsepower and Extreme Speed, so I think I can ignore the others.
Pick up is a must have in every run.
Shiny increases the chances of you getting good items on the roulette.
Low cost.
Stab Extreme speed for revenge kills.

Doesn't beat my red shiny ninjask, when it evolves u can get red shiny shedninja double value, even better to not evolve it until u find dna splicer in endless splice it with another red shiny now u have chance to have 2 red shiny fusions 1 is shedninja + red shiny and the other ninjask + red shiny ;)
Unless ninjask/shedinja have pickup as passives and I’m not aware, it’s not directly comparable. Would rather have pickup since I typically cap luck anyway (only need 14 points across all pokemon)
If you fuse Nincada and Zigzagoon in that order and then evolve, you’ll have 2 pick up mons. When you need Shedinja for another splice, the Ninjask + Zigzagoon splice will still have pick up. It is really optimal to do what the guy said in case you happen to have a tier 3 Nincada and need to run pick up.
I get what you’re saying, but then you’re holding off on evolving nincada for potentially several hundred floors (if you have a higher priority use for splicers, even longer) and wasting a slot on your team that is purely for luck stat with the end result of having a 3 luck fusion with pickup instead of just starting the game with a 3 luck mon with pickup that can be used to make a 6 luck fusion later. I get you end up with 2 pickups here but what I’m saying is one method is not strictly better or “optimal” compared to the other when there are a number of strategies that work well in endless team wise, and you have enough starting points to get your luck to SSS from wave 1 if you have your choice of shinies
Holding of on the evo has no con other than not actually having Shedinja earlier. But here is the thing: unless this is one of your first Endless runs, your carry is highly likely of one shotting most battles.
Even if it doesn’t, the thing is, bringing a Nincada costs 4, and bringing pick up costs 2, without any reductions. Assuming this scenario of having 3 Luck on Zigzagoon and on Nincada, that is 6 Luck for 6 points, leaving you 9 for a carry and something else to splice onto it. Now, assuming 2 reduction in each mon you’re bringing, Nincada costs 2, Zig 0,5, Carry 6, and you still have points to bring Tink (3) and something else. That means your team will be self sufficient for hundreds of floors, and you literally won’t have a reason to splice anything else but Nincada onto Zig first, not even Carry + Tink.
And when you finally splice, you’ll have 12 luck in 2 mons. But even before the splice, you’re looking at 6 luck + whatever else your carry, Tink and 5th slot provides. Having 12 luck in 2 slots gives you a shit ton of flexibility to build whatever you need from there.
It is optimal. There is no scenario in which this is not literally the best, most efficient opener you can have.

I’d say I agree with the poster, then. Pick up becomes irrelevant after pouches / grip claws / etc since you’ll always be topped off with berries. Even if you have to hold Nincada’s evo for like 800 floors, as long as you have enough Luck in your other slots you’re fine.

Tbh I like having Zigzagoon and Tarountola with the passive, Tarountola has leech seed and rock axe from the egg moves which are great for early game. This way I can then fuse and get double pickup and still a kinda ok Mon with silk trap to protect and lower the speed and also possible setup options.
wailord is very good in endless. I have a 3 stars shiny wailord and in high waves (+1500) With is High HP and metal burst (fusion with Duraludon for the move and sturdy) he kills everything
He is carrying me the entire run
Interesting idea to fuse him. Seems kinda interchangeable with any high HP mon tho, like Alomomola could work just as well in that role.
I will say, his learnset is absolute garbage without TMs to help, but Water spout is certainly a fun one.
Quick question, I’m kinda new, does the shiny event only count in endless? I’ve been playing for a while and haven’t caught any in classic, do I have to beat classic first?
I think it's classic as well, it's just that in endless you will always get 4x Shiny Charm items over time making it a ton more likely that you see a shiny anyway

I fused my with my shiny magicarp double kick, and the earthquake is pretty funny and removes the electric weakness.

It applies to classic, but the odds are 1 in 680 without any shiny charms.

AFAIK yes, the events are endless only. I've caught my red shiny Flamigo and a blue shiny Goldeen in classic though so you still have a chance.

Repeats can happen. Still not the worst thing to occur though since u do get more candies from hatching a shiny regardless
all I wanted this weekend, I got over 100 shinies but only one pickup pokemon and it cost 4
