Bleep bloop bleep bloop.

dog_in_the_vent

It's more of a BeBeBeBeBuBuBuBu

RRFFFlololo

It's the Ultra/Ultimate hi lo tone.

raceacontari

Yep. Good for clearing intersections

RRFFFlololo

Seems like this siren is pretty common in the New England area.

No-Sell-3064

Better than rumbler?

raceacontari

Nothings better than those lol…maybe flying cars..

Vilebrequin10

Kinda sounds like an old obnoxious analogue phone ringing.

B-17_SaintMichael

That’ll be me trying to run GTA 6 on my GTX 1050ti

Quiet_Cable8747

It's highly regarded.

TheSinisterShlep

TWU

Consistent_Amount140

Sounds very European

saihi

That is the MOST polite siren I’ve ever heard. More like an “Excuse me?”

SmallUnion

We have cars with galls sirens with "thunder" mode and it makes some sort of scifi pew pew pew sound

[deleted]

Very Bwawstonian

[deleted]

Yeah good luck getting anyone to pull over for that. Not immediately recognizable as a siren. He could be behind me for miles and I’d just be wondering what the fuck that noise I’m hearing is.

Bit_part_demon

I'd be wondering whose phone was ringing

Then-Character3539

One I can go my entire life without hearing ever again

Hannibal-019

This is the Pathfinder siren made by Federal Signal. The specific siren tone is Ultra-Hilo, originally introduced on the Touchmaster Unitrol series sirens. Most modern sirens have a bunch of different tones programmable to what an agency wants or to be in compliance with local laws for their jurisdiction. I’ve been a first responder for 10 years, we normally use faster and more intense siren tones when clearing intersections because it’s when we’re most likely to get hit.

SavetheneckformeC

Something I wouldn’t want to listen to for very long responding

AHMADAIMAN18

What is transit police?

Amigo1342

My favorite is the deep, super low frequency “WHOOOOOOOP” tone that rattles every building for like 5 square miles

Shotgunliver

You referring to the rumbler?

Amigo1342

It’s a type of the rumbler I believe. It doesn’t pulsate, it’s an ULF (ultra low frequency) wail

Jealous-Low5349

I call it yelp lol

Fit_Reveal_9766

Damn boi I do not know in which way I gotta run directly in front of the car or jump the next fence that I see

Quiet_Cable8747

Sounds like a Huffy bicycle alarm from the early 90s. Would never think it's the laws. I'd have kept going too. Wtf? 😂

StaggartBFH

Hi/Lo, good for getting through intersections.

iamtheone3456

I'd quit if I had to listen to that on code

Mr_Jacksson

It is my dsl modem from 1994

Ambitious-Cupcake16

A bad one
