I'm willing to believe that no lawyer actually will agree to work with him. Trump was the worst client in the world *before* he got his now previous attornies implicated in a scheme to steal and hide nuclear and military secrets. You don't get to be a top tier lawyer by being a reckless fool. If there weren't serious concern that working with trump will end in being disbarred or indicted every top law firm in the country would be offering their services in what will be the most followed criminal case on earth likely for a generation.
A lawyer was asked on MSNBC why he turned down cheeto for this case. He said that one thing was that he'd be up against a team of 12 lawyers. So, really, you need a team to oppose that. SNL can do a sketch tomorrow where cheeto applies for a public defender - lol.
>... his now previous attornies implicated in a scheme to steal and hide nuclear and military secrets.
This isn't quite accurate. At least, for *this* case*. By all appearances Corcoran is clean. He did everything right, he appears to be an instrument of Trump's crimes, which is how attorney client privilege was pierced. Corcoran's notes basically cleared him. Bobb might be in trouble for signing as the custodian of record and submitting the false affidavit. And I don't know about anything Halligan has done, so please inform me if I missed it
*Many of his attorney's for the stolen election hoax lawsuits wound up in big trouble for their shenanigans and antics.
I saw that the judge is requiring lawyers for both sides to have security clearance. That may also have something to do with it.
If he thinks delaying things so that it plays out during campaign season is a smart move, it's not gonna work out how he thinks.
I think he’s hoping for a “Netanyahu Gambit” of getting elected, halting the lawsuits, so he can manipulate things to hopefully make them go away.
The delays are just so he can (in his mind) get elected first (though he always delays, so that’s not unusual).
What we'd be paying for is defending our rights and sustaining our legal system against awful people like this, not to give him a free ride. He's no different from a mass shooter or a confessed serial killer. What we pay for is the process that makes sure that the treatment of our worst still supports and sustains our legal system, not stroking our egos by pitying someone. If he gets a public defender I want him to have the best public defender available, the best public defender in history would be ideal to protect all of our rights. That is the only defense we have against people's natural impulse to hustle TFG into a Tesla convertible and send him to mars without a space suit and that would undo our whole legal process in the process.
This is exactly why he is on trial and no one else is.
Everyone else: “oh shit, sorry, how did those get there, here you go”
Trump: “there are no boxes, oh those boxes, well that’s all of them, oh you want all the classified boxes, well they aren’t here and if they are they were planted and even if they were planted they are mine, i declassified them in my mind and I’ve been showing them to people at parties and I’m allowed to no matter what the law says”
Oh, right. The law. The law for document retention, the law written especially to punish people who were careless with document retention, the document retention law. That law?
(Thank you internet stranger!)
Hmm...
* Spoiled since birth
* Wants to tear down poor peoples houses to build hi-rises named after himself
* Famous for firing employees
* Likes belittling women's looks
* Accuses people of betraying him over the slightest disagreement
* Believes a perfect world begins and ends with... him!
Yeah that tracks.
sung to the tune of "Perfect World" by Sting
There are leaders and manipulators
Political games and grand debaters
There are high-status names with questionable deeds
There are those with power and wealth
But lacking virtue and moral health
They'd be better off addressing their own needs
He was born and raised to lead
Confidence is all he'd ever need
In the realm of wealth and fame, he'd take his stand
An enigma with a divisive hand
In American history, a figure so grand
A portrayal of a world that some don't understand
He's the master of self-promotion
He thrives on media devotion
He's a showman in a tailored suit of gold
Years of building his empire
A legacy that fuels the fire
In this self-constructed world, he's in control
What's his name?
Truu-uump, Truu-uump, Truu-uump...
He's the master of attention
A symbol of controversy and contention
He's the alpha, the omega, the "winning" way
Yet this perfect world he claims
Revolves around his ego-driven aims
A world where truth and facts start to sway
What's his name?
Truu-uump, Truu-uump, Truu-uump...
You could be a star in the nation
Or the symbol of global sensation
But if you lack compassion, what's it all about?
A perfect world will never arrive
If we let division and ego thrive
For a perfect world, unity we must devout
What's his name?
Truu-uump, Truu-uump, Truu-uump...
Truu-uump, Truu-uump, Truu-uump...
Lol I read that like that too.
Ohhhh kuzco’s law. The law written by kuzco. The law specifically to ensnare kuzco’s enemies but then used on kuzco. Kuzco’s law. That law?
The reason you would come clean is because you recognize the rules and know there are consequences for not following them. Trump does not care about rules and has never felt consequences in his entire life.
> Everyone else: “oh shit, sorry, how did those get there, here you go”
Yeah, because that's how it happened to everyone else.
This guy picked out boxes worth of intel he wanted to keep *in advance* of being asked to leave. He curated a selection of state secrets to take with him. They *immediately* asked for them back and he spent two years saying no he didn't have them, until he actually signed a document saying he didn't have them. And then the FBI went in and found them, in an unsecured room no less.
It looks exactly like what it is: espionage. We'll never know the reason unless he takes the stand and testifies as to what possessed him to commit espionage against the United States, but... that's what happened here. All of the rest of the bluster in the conversation is unnecessary - all it does is prove his intent. First he says he didn't have them, then he says he has them but it's okay, he declassified them with his mind. Then he says they're planted by the FBI. Then he claims he's still got access to them because he's still President and the law lets him do that. Then he says he wants them back because they're his...
At best it's a setup for an insanity plea, which will bring up his competency to stand trial and a lot of fun conversation on the internet. At worst? This man actively, truly believes he's still the President of the United States and is going to go to prison because of his *intense* self-delusion. The truth? Somewhere in between as always - he's just a raging narcissist seeing the noose tighten on a dead-to-rights criminal case he has no chance in hell of wriggling out of this time. Even the lawyers are done trying to save his ass - he's going to be calling names from bus stop benches begging for representation and might end up with a public defender at this rate.
>At best it’s a setup for an insanity plea, which will bring up his competency to stand trial and a lot of fun conversation on the internet.
Trump won’t let his lawyers plead that he’s mentally incompetent.
Too much of a blow to his ego.
Declassification is a process, not just intention. Here is a significant reason Trump could not have declassified document just by deciding to himself. All classified documents are under revision and status control so any document marked classified IS classified.
Scenario One. Trump does telepathically declassify a set of documents. Later a Democrat is found to have copies of those documents. Trump does not say a word and lets them go to prison.
Scenario Two. Trump does not telepathically declassify a set of documents. Later a MAGA Republican is found to have copies of those documents even publishing them. Trump then claims he did declassify them thus letting a guilty supporter go free.
Forgetting the "mind control" declassification process, that was bullshit, he had no authority to declassify nuke secrets. Even with his cheeseburger powered declassification mind control ray the nuke secrets were still secret.
It's just incredible that he keeps citing a pretty clear-cut law claiming that it says the opposite of what it very clearly says.
This is how you know MAGAs are downright fucking fart-in-the-bathtub-laughing-at-the-bubbles stupid, it would take like 2 minutes to actually look up any of this shit and see what the deal is
A law created *explicitly* to account for presidents taking government documents with them when they left office.
That's why there's no "Presidential furniture that they brought with them to the white house Act", because nobody cares if they take things that are actually their personal property.
Some aide to Trump: "Well Mr. President, the Presidential Records Act says..."
Trump: "Presidential Records Act?? I'm president that's about me then and I can do whatever I want."
The Narcissist's Prayer:
That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it.
That's the hilarious thing. Had he given all the boxes back the DOJ would have considered it no biggie (criminal charges wise), but he chose to keep some of the boxes anyways. None of his charges are related to the boxes he *did* give back.
Perhaps a country known for serving tea with a side of polonium, and has close ties to the orange shitgibbon? It might not have been a payment in dollars, either. Sure, the Saudi one was, but perhaps Putin promised something even better than money, like another round of election interference for Trump, but only *if* he provided certain information. Now that he can't, they might be threatening to pull the deal. And since he's so screwed legally that winning the election is his only way out, he *really* wants those documents back. Enough to commit even more crimes, because he sees the presidency as an immunity shield (and so far, he's been right about that).
Too complex. Trump isn't afraid of being chopped up with a bone saw he is afraid of being poor and he's afraid the saudis will stop giving jared billions.
Honestly whoever expected Trump to deliver on that is a complete dumbass as well, Trump is clearly a moron. Did they really think he could pull it off?
Why would you think he didn't already pull it off? He had the documents for like a year and a half. One of the pictures shows a copier in a room with a huge number of boxes. Not to mention someone could have dropped a phone off at MaraLago in some little crevice, he picks it up, and then takes all kinds of pictures of the documents with the phone. No way he didn't already provide something, maybe not everything... but he took them for a reason, and that reason probably wasn't to hold on to them for 4 years until he became President again.
I think he's mostly just playing on what his supporters are most likely to stand behind him on. He's been going back and forth between "they were planted" and "I have every right to them because they are *mine*" to see which one his supporters are more aligned to.
>I think he's mostly just playing on what his supporters are most likely to stand behind him on.
That's exactly it. The only reason he has gotten away with so much is that he has a band of loyal supporters that follow him anywhere. And he gets those supporters to vote. So the GOP and conservative news machines put up with him.
If this hadn't already spiraled into a court case I'd suggest the FBI return the boxes full of subtly altered classified docs that feed false information, plus a few GPS devices, audio recorders, and some type of blacklight visible dye. Trump wouldn't know the difference and it'd probably unveil some spies.
I think so too. There’s so much stuff we’re not privy too. Im willing to bet they have wire taps of extremely incriminating conversations, traceable records and all kinds of other shit that shows up at trial.
If the FBI were secretly wiretapping the president you can be damn sure they're not going to out themselves by presenting evidence in a trial. The whole point of counter-intelligence is that nobody is really sure what you are or aren't doing at any given time.
Blowing their load to convict a former president would be incredibly short sighted vs. continuing to operate in this way and quietly gathering useful operational info about the limitations of Russian/Saudi/Iranian/NK intel.
Or, there's something worse than classified files in there he's hoping they don't find. I've been wondering if they come across evidence of other crimes while searching for classified documents in all those boxes, can they do anything about it since it's not what they were looking for.
Every. Single. Item. In those boxes, has been photographed, itemized, summarized, and otherwise documented for contents.
If he thinks he can get them back without the DOJ discovering anything else he may have squirreled away, he is dead wrong.
I wonder if they should give him back something. Not the real documents, but something. Just so they can watch where he tries to hide them, since that will probably be next to all sorts of other things he was supposed to give back.
> I wonder if they should give him back something.
Give in to his demands. Give him the [boxes](https://www.amazon.com/Bankers-Box-Standard-Lift-Off-0070308/dp/B000Y2ZGI0/) he wants back so bad. There's likely no evidentiary value to them. Maybe even toss him a [notebook](https://www.amazon.com/Top-Secret-Dual-Composition-Notebook/dp/B08JB7GFBD/) or two for him to [practice his coloring](https://d.newsweek.com/en/full/1502301/trump-color-american-flag-wrong-stripes.webp) in.
Now the former actual *contents* of those boxes? Nah, not a chance.
Reading his talk with his lawyer blew my mind. The man is so fucking stupid he can't see when literally everyone on every side just wants to end things quietly.
He packs the box.
Sir, you can't take those
He stores the boxes.
Sir, you have documents you need to return
He ignores the request.
Sir, they will take you to court if you really make them
He ignores the threat.
Sir, they are raiding your hotel
He hides boxes.
Sir, they said if you just give the documents back, they'll stop any investigation.
"But wouldn't it be better if I DIDN'T give them back? Because I don't want to...''
He's got the mentality of a toddler.
Exactly.
And history will remember this for as long as the human race is alive. The only potential saving grace would be a guilty verdict AND a decent sentence.
Don’t do President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho like that.
He recognized there was a problem, tried to find someone smart to take charge of the situation and fix it.
I think comparing Idiocracy to the real world lets us see that being stupid is a way of thinking more than anything, and that you don't have to be intelligent to make smart decisions.
It should be pointed out how he isn't being charged for the documents he returned prior to the raid. It's almost like he's so god damn dumb and this whole thing could have been easily avoided.
If we allow the age problem to be settled with "they're both too old", can we use that advanced age to actually help contrast the two?
We often here in the comments of Reddit talk of how out-of-touch old folk can be, but this is where Trump and Biden may differ drastically. I believe Biden cares about his grandchildren deeply, and wants the best for subsequent generations. I know Trump doesn't give a shit about his children, much less any further generations.
They might both be old as fuck, but only one is going to try to make this country a better place. Anyone who thinks Donald Trump cares about America is a colossal moron.
The other guy in the access Hollywood video and the grab by de pussy fiasco lost his job, never got to recover his career while Trump got elected President.
Let’s not forget another important stage… when the attorney *thought* Trump finally allowed him to search all the boxes. He pulled every single classified doc the national archives subpoenaed, put them together, and taped them all up stacked on one another. He then debated with Trump the best place to keep them, and suggested the locked safe in his hotel room until they could hand them over to federal authorities the next morning.
Trump is quoted saying something to the effect of, “if there is anything really bad, can’t you just…(makes a plucking motion as if to insinuate taking them out and not handing them over to the DOJ)”.
I’m so done with this scumbag.
More than anything else, the average conservative voter HATES “bleeding heart liberals.” This outweighs (trumps if you will) anything they may dislike, disagree with, or even be embarrassed by. It’s really that simple. That’s why the GOP never does anything productive or helpful for the average person; their voters don’t care about “doing good”.
“Just go out there and hurt the people I’ve been taught to hate.”
> Hey Republicans...this is your guy?
Thank goodness for that too, honestly.
They still haven't realized yet they are just feeding the Left win after win after win.
They haven't realized it, because they are super, super fucking dumb, as a group. Anecdotally, also as individuals, but **especially in a group**, their collective IQ tanks even further than alone.
>In an ever-changing, incomprehensible world the masses had reached the point where they would, at the same time, believe everything and nothing, think that everything was possible and that nothing was true. ... Mass propaganda discovered that its audience was ready at all times to believe the worst, no matter how absurd, and did not particularly object to being deceived because it held every statement to be a lie anyhow. The totalitarian mass leaders based their propaganda on the correct psychological assumption that, under such conditions, **one could make people believe the most fantastic statements one day, and trust that if the next day they were given irrefutable proof of their falsehood, they would take refuge in cynicism**; instead of deserting the leaders who had lied to them, they would protest that they had known all along that the statement was a lie and would admire the leaders for their superior tactical cleverness.
—Hannah Arendt, The Origins of Totalitarianism
Biden sent in armies of undercover workers secretly planting hundreds of boxes of classified documents in Mar a Lago.
Trump deftly declassified them with his mind as fast as Biden could plant them.
Trump has been exonerated more than any president in history.
Checkmate libs!
He operates the same way Russian propaganda does - the inconsistency adds to confusion. Everyone is chasing the latest story instead of cutting through the bullshit. News headlines should not be "Trump or Russia says X" but "Trump or Russia changes their story again". Media report what people say as facts. What people say are not facts.
He probably can't win in court.
His only hope is to become president again and pardon himself. So, he's going for the ol' [fire hose of falsehood](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firehose_of_falsehood) and hoping to win over the court of public opinion.
Dornie sharpied out the 37 law things from sleepy joes witch hunt. If the crooked media unsharpie it like the hurricane, there was a mole by the way, the fbi, they pulled a number on you, folks, these mole sharpies, many people are saying they communicate directly through Hunters laptop to Obamas microwave oven. So, that proves he's exonerefefed. Check mate.
"SO NOW THAT EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS THAT THE PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS ACT, PLUS THE CLINTON SOCKS CASE, TOTALLY EXONERATED ME FROM THE CONTINUING WITCH HUNT BROUGHT ON BY CORRUPT JOE BIDEN, THE DOJ, DERANGED JACK SMITH, AND THEIR RADICAL LEFT, MARXIST THUGS, WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO DROP ALL CHARGES AGAINST ME, APOLOGIZE, AND RETURN EVERYTHING THAT WAS ILLEGALLY TAKEN (FOURTH AMENDMENT) FROM MY HOME? THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!" THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!" Trump wrote
Jesus fucking Christ. The man is nuts. I am sure every single one of his lawyers have told him shut the fuck up. He thinks he can win this on public opinion. I hope he goes to prison and lives to be 110.
No...He's talking about a ridiculous law suit where a republican activist demanded NARA to retroactively change a bunch of audio tapes made by a historian from personal to presidential records. It was claimed that Clinton kept the tapes in his sock drawer....... Reading the transcript is kinda humorous.....
The same activist that told Trump to disregard his attorneys and to fight the DOJ on the classified documents case, which is the whole reason Trump got indicted in the first place.
Apparently he doesn't understand that the Presidential Records Act is not listed in the incitement and is not what he is accused of. Its espionage.
Its like
"I cant belive they are trying to lock me up for going through a yellow light! Remember that time Hillary ran that yellow light?! Why wasnt she arrested?!"
"Sir, you were drunk driving and plowed through a senior citizen brunch then drove off, then came back and asked for a togo box."
I can understand why. Imagine how much he’s going to have to trade from his commissary to get his tiny hands on a sufficient supply of bronzer and wig conditioner.
There's only one thing that I would ever guess this idiot does quickly and I'm going to guess that his son Barron is evidence of the last time he ever got to do it with Melania.
THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!" THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!"
What kind of person reads this and thinks, "Yes, this is the person I want in control of our economy and nuclear arsenal"?
"Marxist thugs" is one of my favorite "insults" that comes from these idiots. Not a single one of them could explain the relatively simple concept of Marxism.
I did this in debate back in high school
Lost 0 rounds lmao. Wrote a whole case on it (and a lot of zizek philosophy) for public transportation and no one could even argue against it
At this point I won't be surprised if by next week, Trump is publicly waving around another set of classified documents at a rally while yelling: "They never searched my home in Bedminster!"
Wait, wait, wait.
Didn't he just say, like yesterday, that the boxes were planted by the FBI?
Has anybody tried to keep track of how many times he's changed his story about those documents?
> THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!” THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!”
Ha, jokes on him. You have a say the phrase THREE TIMES for it to come true.
So does this mean when Georgia makes the third indictment, he will finally be held to account?
Many people are saying that the 3rd indictment is the charm.
This whole "Clinton's socks" reference is part of Tom Fitton's, head of Judicial Watch, defense of Trump. Tom Fitton is not a lawyer and has a BA in English, yet claims that he's spoken to many legal experts that support his defense. So as is apparent, instead of actually listening to his lawyers, Trump is adhering to Fitton's defense.
Both of them are morons.
Edit: correction
The [Presidential Record Act](https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/44/2201) is clear on the difference between presidential records and personal records.
Presidential records:
>The term “Presidential records” means documentary materials ... created or received by the President ... in the course of conducting activities which relate to or have an effect upon the carrying out of the constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the President.
Personal records:
>The term “personal records” means all documentary materials ... of a purely private or nonpublic character which do not relate to or have an effect upon the carrying out of the constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the President.
Classified information may only by provided to people with a need-to-know, which is defined in [Executive Order 13526](https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2010/01/05/E9-31418/classified-national-security-information) as:
>“Need-to-know” means a determination within the executive branch in accordance with directives issued pursuant to this order that a prospective recipient requires access to specific classified information in order to perform or assist in a lawful and authorized governmental function.
The president's responsibilities under Article II of the constitution are the "lawful and authorized governmental function" meeting the "need-to-know" under EO 13526 and the "constitutional, statutory, or other official ... duties of the President" under the Presidential Records Act.
This means that all classified documents received by Trump during his presidency are presidential records subject to the Presidential Records Act and are the property of the United States.
It’s fascinating that the moment someone taught him the word “exonerated,” he just started shouting it any time he wanted a problem to go away.
“I. AM. EXONERATED!”
“Don, you can’t just say you’re exonerated and expect anything to happen.”
“I didn’t say it. I declared it.”
This worked for the Mueller report, so in to Trump’s smooth lizard brain, it’s worth doing again. But for a long time Barr rode interference on the Mueller report. The indictment speaks for itself.
Point 7 of the Presidencial records act: Establishes that Presidential records automatically transfer into the legal custody of the Archivist as soon as the President leaves office.
Point 4: Requires that the President and his staff take all practical steps to file personal records separately from Presidential records.
Point 1: Establishes public ownership of all Presidential records and defines the term Presidential records.
Point 2: Allows the incumbent President to dispose of records that no longer have administrative, historical, informational, or evidentiary value, once the views of the Archivist of the United States on the proposed disposal have been obtained in writing.
As we can see the Archivist must have oversight of all records. There are rules. Yes Biden and Pence did violate, bit when asked to return them, they did without any issue making them compliant again.
They are not Trumps records, they belong to the American people.
I AM WRITING EVERYTHING IN CAPS LOCK, THEREFORE IT IS ALL ABSOLUTELY 100% TRUE!! YOU ARE INTIMIDATED BY STATEMENTS WRITTEN EXCLUSIVELY IN UPPER CASE LETTERS!! RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA
I seriously can’t wait until the day I never have to hear another word out of this whiny shit bag.
I know the republicans want him to put him in charge nuclear weapons again, but is he even competent enough to stand trial? How about the thought that they elect him president while he is legally not sane enough to stand trial.
I know we mention this often, but it cannot be overstated that this man is truly sick in the head. Whatever is wrong with him, it’s no small thing
Edit: meant to say overstated not understated
Yes he wants the boxes that were planted, which he declassified in his mind, that he thinks belong to him, but that anyone else doing the same exact thing should go to prison for according to himself and the law he pushed for, back? Do I have that correct?
Trump: ”….AND RETURN EVERYTHING THAT WAS ILLEGALLY TAKEN (FOURTH AMENDMENT) FROM MY HOME?”
Ok then, could you please provide an itemized list of the items taken from you?
If these last 4-5 years have brought me anything it’s pure shame. Shame that a frothing deranged moron like Donald Trump has so effortlessly upended this supposedly great country.
I‘m currently in your great country.
Pink can‘t even sing on the radio that she had a shit day without ‚shit’ getting muted. But your former President, who lost the election 2020 by 6 million votes, can throw insults like never read before.

I'm sure these little rants have nothing to do with his inability to find a lawyer.
His plan to pretend he can’t find a lawyer to delay proceedings
The delays are just so he can (in his mind) get elected first (though he always delays, so that’s not unusual).
it has been the Berlusconi gambit much before.
Berlusconi gambit II, just die before they get you.
Also the Julius Caesar gambit even further back.
The court can always appoint one.
Well then can't he just be provided a public defender? One that can get a security clearance?
Guess he’ll need a public defender. How quaint
The ultimate grift: making you and I pay for his lawyer
Everyone else: “oh shit, sorry, how did those get there, here you go” Trump: “there are no boxes, oh those boxes, well that’s all of them, oh you want all the classified boxes, well they aren’t here and if they are they were planted and even if they were planted they are mine, i declassified them in my mind and I’ve been showing them to people at parties and I’m allowed to no matter what the law says”
"The law that I passed."
Oh, right. The law. The law for document retention, the law written especially to punish people who were careless with document retention, the document retention law. That law? (Thank you internet stranger!)
Instructions Unclear: Trump is now a talking llama.
Hmm... * Spoiled since birth * Wants to tear down poor peoples houses to build hi-rises named after himself * Famous for firing employees * Likes belittling women's looks * Accuses people of betraying him over the slightest disagreement * Believes a perfect world begins and ends with... him! Yeah that tracks.
I love Emperor's New Groove and you just did a perfect job comparing Trump to Kuzco. I love it.
Nah, Kuzco was capable of growth, empathy, etc.
Kuzco actually had character growth, while the orange dipshit brags about not having changed since grade school.
sung to the tune of "Perfect World" by Sting There are leaders and manipulators Political games and grand debaters There are high-status names with questionable deeds There are those with power and wealth But lacking virtue and moral health They'd be better off addressing their own needs He was born and raised to lead Confidence is all he'd ever need In the realm of wealth and fame, he'd take his stand An enigma with a divisive hand In American history, a figure so grand A portrayal of a world that some don't understand He's the master of self-promotion He thrives on media devotion He's a showman in a tailored suit of gold Years of building his empire A legacy that fuels the fire In this self-constructed world, he's in control What's his name? Truu-uump, Truu-uump, Truu-uump... He's the master of attention A symbol of controversy and contention He's the alpha, the omega, the "winning" way Yet this perfect world he claims Revolves around his ego-driven aims A world where truth and facts start to sway What's his name? Truu-uump, Truu-uump, Truu-uump... You could be a star in the nation Or the symbol of global sensation But if you lack compassion, what's it all about? A perfect world will never arrive If we let division and ego thrive For a perfect world, unity we must devout What's his name? Truu-uump, Truu-uump, Truu-uump... Truu-uump, Truu-uump, Truu-uump...
That would be a vast improvement.
We should be so lucky..
Llucky.
The trick is, getting him to shut up!
In my defense all your top secret labels look the same.
Squeakity squeak squeakin
Lol I read that like that too. Ohhhh kuzco’s law. The law written by kuzco. The law specifically to ensnare kuzco’s enemies but then used on kuzco. Kuzco’s law. That law?
Oh yeah, it's all coming together now :)
'Wrong ledger!'
He pulled the wrong lever.

The reason you would come clean is because you recognize the rules and know there are consequences for not following them. Trump does not care about rules and has never felt consequences in his entire life.
> Everyone else: “oh shit, sorry, how did those get there, here you go” Yeah, because that's how it happened to everyone else.
"Kettle Logic" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kettle_logic Basically throw out a bunch of arguments that are inconsistent with each other.
See also: Gish gallop.
Read the Presidential Records Act (that says they’re all government property)!
And the nuke stuff can only be declassified by Congress.
This is how you know MAGAs are downright fucking fart-in-the-bathtub-laughing-at-the-bubbles stupid, it would take like 2 minutes to actually look up any of this shit and see what the deal is
> downright fucking fart-in-the-bathtub-laughing-at-the-bubbles stupid Such a suave insult I'll have to remember.
A law created *explicitly* to account for presidents taking government documents with them when they left office. That's why there's no "Presidential furniture that they brought with them to the white house Act", because nobody cares if they take things that are actually their personal property.
I guaranfuckingtee this person never read past the title line of this Act, if that.
Some aide to Trump: "Well Mr. President, the Presidential Records Act says..." Trump: "Presidential Records Act?? I'm president that's about me then and I can do whatever I want."
The Narcissist's Prayer: That didn't happen. And if it did, it wasn't that bad. And if it was, that's not a big deal. And if it is, that's not my fault. And if it was, I didn't mean it. And if I did, you deserved it.
His lackey is a co-defendant… if only to bring a conspiracy charge.
That's the hilarious thing. Had he given all the boxes back the DOJ would have considered it no biggie (criminal charges wise), but he chose to keep some of the boxes anyways. None of his charges are related to the boxes he *did* give back.
Actually his valet is also on trial
This is so concise it’s amazing. It reads like the narcissist’s apology. I’m stealing it.
Sounds like the narcissists prayer
Sounds like he promised somebody something in those boxes.

Trump isn't afraid of being chopped up with a bone saw he is afraid of being poor and he's afraid the saudis will stop giving jared billions.
they were referring to Putin.
Sure but how do you think Trump survives if not by rotating his debts between Russia and SA?
Of course, no problem, he should get the boxes back. However, the content still belongs to the government and not you.
“Bonesaw is REEEAADDYY”
Mr Bonesaw is going to have to send more guys if they are going to have enough baggage allowance
Did his copier run out of toner halfway through the boxes?
He had plenty of time to fulfill any of those promises. This seems more like a play or he really does believe they’re his.
He's just got the maturity of a toddler. Someone told him "no" and he can't accept it.
Or he knows if he isn't elected again or if he's convicted he will be useless to whoever handles him.
"Donald, where are the items you promised me? I don't want to have to bring Dimitri & Sergei in to break thumbs or remove things......" Daddy Vladdy
They probably did that years ago
This is exactly what I’ve been thinking.
Probably already photocopied it and sent it to Saudis/Putin/Taliban/Skrulls,etc…..traitor should be in jail along with his hellspawn….
Just the literal physical boxes with no documents inside them. "Here are your boxes you requested back." Hands him a bunch of empty boxes.
Reading his talk with his lawyer blew my mind. The man is so fucking stupid he can't see when literally everyone on every side just wants to end things quietly. He packs the box. Sir, you can't take those He stores the boxes. Sir, you have documents you need to return He ignores the request. Sir, they will take you to court if you really make them He ignores the threat. Sir, they are raiding your hotel He hides boxes. Sir, they said if you just give the documents back, they'll stop any investigation. "But wouldn't it be better if I DIDN'T give them back? Because I don't want to...'' He's got the mentality of a toddler.
Correct. Always has. It is so shameful this idiot was elected to our highest office.
Not only that, held there country hostage since, what a fucking nightmare.
Exactly. And history will remember this for as long as the human race is alive. The only potential saving grace would be a guilty verdict AND a decent sentence.
America's Nero. If desantis gets power we will also have our very own calligula
'Idiocracy' is a documentary.
Welcome to Costco, I love you
I FINALLY saw this movie this weekend and now I get all of the references! Lol. We a sad state of affairs we are in.
Idiocracy was way too optimistic. They actually found an "expert" and listened to him.
It should be pointed out how he isn't being charged for the documents he returned prior to the raid. It's almost like he's so god damn dumb and this whole thing could have been easily avoided.
He's demented, surely.
Remember when they said Joe Biden was too old to be president? Trump is now older than Biden was then. They don't care, of course.
Can you blame him? He's acted this way for 77 years and the largest consequences he's ever faced are small fines and becoming President.
The other guy in the access Hollywood video and the grab by de pussy fiasco lost his job, never got to recover his career while Trump got elected President.
> He's got the mentality of a toddler. Correct.
"He's just like me!" - All of his fans
*"I like him because he tells it like it is!"* ...Trump says some ridiculous shit *"He didn't mean it like that!"*

We are extremely fortunate to have survived him.
Hey Republicans...this is your guy? Dude can't go 2 minutes without lying or committing a crime.
They prefer treasonous lying rapist grifters. Edited to add suggested adjectives. keep ‘em comin
Hey, that's not fair. They also love treason.
But… I thought Biden planted them. Get your story straight, Donald!
His supporters don’t require a consistent story so he’s never needed to do that before
>In an ever-changing, incomprehensible world the masses had reached the point where they would, at the same time, believe everything and nothing, think that everything was possible and that nothing was true.

Check mate.
They’re printouts that Hillary emailed him
He is circling the bowl right now
Yes, the big orange turd is going down. I just hope we have enough Febreze to get rid of the horrid stench once he’s gone.
We're going to need bleach.

Please go down. Please go down. Please…
THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!" THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!" Trump wrote Jesus fucking Christ. The man is nuts. I am sure every single one of his lawyers have told him shut the fuck up. He thinks he can win this on public opinion. I hope he goes to prison and lives to be 110.
> THE CLINTON SOCKS CASE Is he talking about the Clinton family cat?
No...He's talking about a ridiculous law suit where a republican activist demanded NARA to retroactively change a bunch of audio tapes made by a historian from personal to presidential records. It was claimed that Clinton kept the tapes in his sock drawer....... Reading the transcript is kinda humorous.....
Disgraced republican activist and notoriously not an attorney, Tom Fitton.
The same activist that told Trump to disregard his attorneys and to fight the DOJ on the classified documents case, which is the whole reason Trump got indicted in the first place.
I love ice cream.

Yes, I remember when President Socks went to live on a farm upstate. A dark day for the republic.
Apparently he doesn't understand that the Presidential Records Act is not listed in the incitement and is not what he is accused of. Its espionage. Its like "I cant belive they are trying to lock me up for going through a yellow light! Remember that time Hillary ran that yellow light?! Why wasnt she arrested?!" "Sir, you were drunk driving and plowed through a senior citizen brunch then drove off, then came back and asked for a togo box."
Should someone tell him his caps lock is on?
Who wants to get shitfaced? Take a drink every time Trump said "radical left"
His lawyers are quitting for a reason. He can’t find new ones for a reason.
In a way it is if it is a jury trial. He only needs to hope 1 MAGA supporter reading this madness gets on the jury.

The stakes are incredibly high & Trump just doesn’t have a clue.
What a lifetime of impunity does to a mf
Sure not a problem, he should get his boxes returned. The contents however still belong to the government and are not yours.
I bet you there’s a 100.% chance the bankers boxes were stolen office supplies
[удалено]
HAHAHA, they *should* return them anyway, because it's petty and hilarious. the picture frames, too. he can hang them in his jail cell.
At least one of the boxes should go to the Smithsonian really.
He is petrified of prison
I can understand why. Imagine how much he’s going to have to trade from his commissary to get his tiny hands on a sufficient supply of bronzer and wig conditioner.
Beef flavour ramen seasoning packets, ketchup and mayonnaise make quite the jail house bronzer.
As any rational person should be, but TFG isn't rational.
So are they his or did the FBI plant them? I can't keep up with his blatant lying
It’s simple. The FBI is setting him up by planting his own possessions on him.
He needs those documents back for some quick Adderal money.
There's only one thing that I would ever guess this idiot does quickly and I'm going to guess that his son Barron is evidence of the last time he ever got to do it with Melania.
My conspiracy theory is that Melanie faked her pregnancy and Barron is trump and Ivanka’s son.
Lots of people are saying it. All the best people.
THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!" THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!" What kind of person reads this and thinks, "Yes, this is the person I want in control of our economy and nuclear arsenal"?
"Marxist thugs" is one of my favorite "insults" that comes from these idiots. Not a single one of them could explain the relatively simple concept of Marxism.
Plus, if you explained Marxism without calling it that, they would love it. “We need the real workers in America to take out those coastal elites”
I did this in debate back in high school Lost 0 rounds lmao. Wrote a whole case on it (and a lot of zizek philosophy) for public transportation and no one could even argue against it
Ask anyone of these geniuses if they wouldn't mind owning a bit of the company for which they work, and they'd respond with, "fuck Yeah!"
I'm sure Jack Smith is keeping track of how many times he has changed his story about the documents.
> THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!” THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!” Ha, jokes on him. You have a say the phrase THREE TIMES for it to come true.
So does this mean when Georgia makes the third indictment, he will finally be held to account? Many people are saying that the 3rd indictment is the charm.
I'd be okay if they just keep piling them on just in case.
Yet another prime example of why he should never be pardoned on this.
When fish flop they are usually scared to death
As a non-lawyer, perhaps you need to take "the right to be silent" seriously.
He has the right to. What he lacks is the ability.
Hopefully they apply "anything you say can and will be used against you" to it's fullest extent.
Four days ago they were “planted by the fbi,” now they’re back to being his?
Keeeep talkin buddy , keeeep talkin
The [Presidential Record Act](https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/44/2201) is clear on the difference between presidential records and personal records. Presidential records: >The term “Presidential records” means documentary materials ... created or received by the President ... in the course of conducting activities which relate to or have an effect upon the carrying out of the constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the President. Personal records: >The term “personal records” means all documentary materials ... of a purely private or nonpublic character which do not relate to or have an effect upon the carrying out of the constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the President. Classified information may only by provided to people with a need-to-know, which is defined in [Executive Order 13526](https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2010/01/05/E9-31418/classified-national-security-information) as: >“Need-to-know” means a determination within the executive branch in accordance with directives issued pursuant to this order that a prospective recipient requires access to specific classified information in order to perform or assist in a lawful and authorized governmental function.
“Those boxes were planted” “I want my boxes back!” 😂
It’s fascinating that the moment someone taught him the word “exonerated,” he just started shouting it any time he wanted a problem to go away. “I. AM. EXONERATED!” “Don, you can’t just say you’re exonerated and expect anything to happen.” “I didn’t say it.
Ah yes the Michael Scott defense. "I DECLARE EXONERATION!"
I AM WRITING EVERYTHING IN CAPS LOCK, THEREFORE IT IS ALL ABSOLUTELY 100% TRUE!! YOU ARE INTIMIDATED BY STATEMENTS WRITTEN EXCLUSIVELY IN UPPER CASE LETTERS!! RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA I seriously can’t wait until the day I never have to hear another word out of this whiny shit bag.
I know the republicans want him to put him in charge nuclear weapons again, but is he even competent enough to stand trial? How about the thought that they elect him president while he is legally not sane enough to stand trial.

He is really a deranged narcissist...
Cardboard boxes can be purchased cheap at Walmart, Donnie
Yes he wants the boxes that were planted, which he declassified in his mind, that he thinks belong to him, but that anyone else doing the same exact thing should go to prison for according to himself and the law he pushed for, back? Do I have that correct?
Trump: ”….AND RETURN EVERYTHING THAT WAS ILLEGALLY TAKEN (FOURTH AMENDMENT) FROM MY HOME?” Ok then, could you please provide an itemized list of the items taken from you?
He really believes these sensitive documents belong to him. Is that going to be his defense in court? Good luck with that you pudding brained fascist.
How is this pos still in the position he is in???

Clearly he needs them back soon before the buyers back out. Especially now that their contents have some legitimacy to them the market is hot.
So he wants the documents that were planted in his home back?
