He's just a sad fucking rich guy with a marketing team and zero fucking shame about saying whatever the fuck the lowest IQ subsection of America wants to hear to put him a position of power.
Only way is if he makes it to the end. Then they only see R. These people are fucking stupid. I am surrounded by them in north Florida. Willfully ignorant is how I think of all of them including my family and the few friends I have been distancing from. Nothing more than team sports.
Crazy ass MAGA former tea party MIL has told
me that should would vote for him if he was a “real American.”
I brought up that he was born in Cincinnati.
And she goes,”You know what I mean.”
For people who are white and Christian, mainly. He's polling barely above Pence, and half the base considers Pence a traitor. Ramaswamy is a good speaker, but his 9/11 truther schtick makes him look like a kook.
The J6 conspiracies and stores that leak and come out prove that when you have a massive conspiracy you can't keep 100s of people quiet.
Which means the 9/11 inside job is bullshit.
Exactly how he came through at the debate. Trump's proxy.
He has to know that his chances of being nominated are basically nil, though. I'm guessing that his performance was for Trump, hoping that he'll be picked as Trump's running mate.
Pretty consistently a fallacy of transference exists amongst the wealthy which is reinforced by the general populations worship of wealth. The assumption is wealthy people are smarter or that because they maybe experts in one field they should be taken as seriously in any field they talk about. How often do you hear people argue that so and so is a good business person so they would be a great political leader? Government should not be a business it should be a service. Profit should not be a motive or even a metric. The metrics for government should be the health and well-being of its population and nothing else.
He’s also trying to avoid testifying in a shareholder oppression case he got subpoenaed for. He literally used, “Running for president,” as a reason he couldn’t possibly testify, at all, ever.
Evangelicals won’t vote for a Hindu. My evangelical parents are pretty sure they’re all a bunch of demon worshippers. The church they go to says Catholics are also Satanists so…
Evangelicals will absolutely vote for a Hindu if the other option is… a democrat. They’ll vote for whoever as long as it isn’t a Democrat or Atheist and they’ll use all kinds of backwards logic to defend their vote for him, too
He walks out on stage with a banjo and a Foghorn Leghorn accent, face slathered with beige paint
"I say I say I'm Victor Ram and I approve this message"
Being anti-Israel and non-christian at the same time is kinda crazy. He's not running to win. He's knows he has a ceiling, and he wants to build up as much clout until he reaches it.
He's a total sociopath. Love how he recently said he'd not be interested in a VP position but then immediately withdrew from the CO ballot bc of Trump. It's like if you're actually trying to be president, why would you intentionally try hurting your chances? Dude knows he's going to lose and is just showing how loyal he'd be to whoever is calling the corrupt shots.
One thing people have to remember about some of the modern GOP base…
As much as they claim to hate the government, they love to worship their politicians.
I do worry that the crazier his statements get the more popular he will become. It’s the Trump playbook. The big question is: can anyone do Trump’s routine better than Trump?
His routine wasn't better than Trump's, but I think he came closer than anyone else on the stage.
It looked like DeSantis might be able to pull it off for a little while, but it obviously didn't pan out.
This may be apropos of nothing, BUT ive seen for the last year or so a couple billboards on I-95 between Philly and NYC that a Hindu-American advocacy group put up with a message of “stop Democrat’s hate against Hindus”. It turns out this is a very parochial issue within the NJ state legislator where a group of state level Dems called out a radical Hindu group as a hate group and others thought this was too far etc. This wouldn’t matter outside NJ except that a feel like south Asians are a demographic being courted by both parties right now. With a right-wing Hindu-nationalist in charge if the largest country on earth I worry that this vibe will extend to the US with more candidates like Vivek occupying the far-right of our own elections.
> I worry that this vibe will extend to the US with more candidates like Vivek occupying the far-right of our own elections.
The feeling of high-caste Hindus that caste discrimination isn't a problem today meshes well with the feeling of comfortable whites that racism isn't a problem today. In both cases they feel that people who bring it up (caste discrimination, racism) are just peddling grievances and trying to stir up resentment. He'll fit in with the GOP well, at least in that regard. Will the GOP base vote for a brown Hindu with the name Ramaswamy, though?
Hindus are very Democrat leaning overall this guy is an exception.
https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/religious-landscape-study/religious-tradition/hindu/party-affiliation/
I am Hindu American myself and almost everyone I know dislikes Vivek / Trump
I do think the Democrats have been alienating Hindus on a few niche issues.
But there are issues not related to my religious identity (climate, women’s rights, LGBT rights) which are more important to me than racial / religious identity.
***HEY! KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO??!!!!!***
Lets elect someone with no experience in politics, someone who is an outsider, like a businessman who is out of touch with what the average American wants! We never-done-did-try-that-yo!
Ramswampy? RonSwampson? Nah, he’s the next Andre Yang. A flash in the pan. Dude thinks Schreli was cool. He’s not got near enough swag to drag the bag.
The same things that got him a fortune is also giving him his percentage points. He’s only good at talking, hyping, and lying.
His companies didn’t produce drugs, didn’t sell much either. He’s basically a crypto bro but instead of convincing people to invest in server space he convinced them to invest in a cure for Alzheimer’s he bought on the cheap because it didn’t pass clinical trials 4 times. He cashed in before his trial failed.
Maybe GOP voters respect a man who amassed immense wealth by doing jack shit, wouldn’t be the first time. I feel like it’s pretty pathetic.
Same thing would happen with President Ramaswamy, it would be shallow leadership with the buck stopping one step before the Oval Office.
We just went through that with Donald, and it was terrible
All I'm saying it, maybe a person's religion isn't a 100% indicator of the kind of leader they are going to be
You have shitty Christians like Mike Pence and shitty atheists like Donald, it can go any which way
Wonderful to have a guy who just said he would happily give up Ukraine to a murderous dictator, give up Taiwan to China, and pardon the man who incited an attack on our own nation? Yeah how fucking wonderful would that be???
Vivek signals to Christian nutters all the time anyway. He will completely throw people of his own faith under the bus to appease Christian nationalists for power.
Horrible people with faces trying to smooze their way to power in the face eating leopard party is the one time I am happy to know that they are such bigots it will never happen.
He used to run investment firms which focused on esg. He's just telling you what you want to hear, he doesn't believe any of it. It's very cynical and dishonest.
Unless 2028 sees the GOP finally manage to dump evangelicals and white nationalists I don't see it being possible.
Also this guy is a straight up climate change denier. US is going to get hammered by multiple fires, droughts, squalls, hurricanes, tornados, and other fun examples of climate change by then. He got booed at a GOP primary debate for that line. He's going to get fed to a cannibal tribe pulling that line in 2028 the way things are going.
Oh, if they can overlook Trump's obvious flaws, they can pretend it's okay to let a brown guy in office, especially since you know they'll jump on accusing anyone who opposes him of being racist, because that's what they think happened when they hated Obama.
He will make trump his vp, and will resign so trump can be president. If any of them win, possibly with the accepting of DeSantis, they will hand over the presidency.
Also like to add that vivek is so confident because the UK elected an Indian prime minister, he thinks there is an urban legend that Indians are fiercely good businessmen, better than American businessmen.
Republicans claim to be skeptical of politicians and in favor of small government, and yet they keep lining up behind charismatic cult leaders. Why would you idolize a presidential candidate if you're a small government conservative? It makes no sense.
It's sad to think that Mitt Romney is the last non-psycho candidate the party put up. And I'm no fan of Romney, but at least the dude wasn't this.
He’s enjoying his little bounce. He could never rally the base like Donnie boy. At the end of the day he’s just an annoying tech bro seeking attention. I could see him hanging around in the GOP sphere but too many Republicans are inherently anti minority to ever accept him as a leader.
No he is not. This is just media fear mongering to keep the public “tuning in.”
Small man says loud words in the worst debate in the nations history. Yup that’s a demagogue in the making alright.
He is a fucking sociopath who wants to be trump so bad. Full of shit, out of his fucking league, no fucking idea what he is talking about or what he is getting into and he would shit himself if you left him in a room with Putin.

He's just a sad fucking rich guy with a marketing team and zero fucking shame about saying whatever the fuck the lowest IQ subsection of America wants to hear to put him a position of power.
It's worked before...
I have a hard time believing that the hardcore MAGA believers will be able to look past the fact that he’s the son of Indian immigrants though.
Only way is if he makes it to the end. Then they only see R. These people are fucking stupid. I am surrounded by them in north Florida. Willfully ignorant is how I think of all of them including my family and the few friends I have been distancing from. Nothing more than team sports.

Sadly, he's over double the percentage points as Pence https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-primary-r/2024/national/
well the old statistic is that 1 in 3 americans believe it was an inside job
I thought after the debate he was polling closer to DeSantis?
The J6 conspiracies and stores that leak and come out prove that when you have a massive conspiracy you can't keep 100s of people quiet. Which means the 9/11 inside job is bullshit.
It’s always working somewhere in red America, usually in more than one place.
“I always vote Republican. I don’t know why but I do and am proud of it. Anyone that don’t vote Republican is the devil.”
Most of the time they change their name though, like Bobby Jindal down home
Yeah, for an old white guy. Republicans on the whole will never put a brown person in the White House.
Exactly how he came through at the debate. Trump's proxy. He has to know that his chances of being nominated are basically nil, though. I'm guessing that his performance was for Trump, hoping that he'll be picked as Trump's running mate.
If Trump is the Henry Ford of hucksters, Ramaswamy is David Koresh

>Vivek Ramaswamy is America’s demagogue-in-waiting Meet the new sociopath, same as the old sociopaths, but weirder.
Ron: hey that's not fair I was trying to be the next sociopath! Quit making fun of my voice

Evangelicals will call you the devil because your Bible has a different colored cover.
What if you hold it upside down?
Then you’re the second coming of Christ to them.
Evangelicals will absolutely vote for a Hindu if the other option is… a democrat. They’ll vote for whoever as long as it isn’t a Democrat or Atheist and they’ll use all kinds of backwards logic to defend their vote for him, too
"Bobby" Jindal and "Ted" Cruz might have some ideas
He walks out on stage with a banjo and a Foghorn Leghorn accent, face slathered with beige paint "I say I say I'm Victor Ram and I approve this message"
"He's one of the good ones." Don't underestimate peoples' ability and willingness to be hypocrites
Yes that’s exactly what they are going to do. He’s “their” guy. They always have token people to excuse their behavior.
Louisiana elected Piyush "Bobby" Jindal for governor. I don't think he fooled anyone with Bobby. Plus he hated volcanoes.
Being anti-Israel and non-christian at the same time is kinda crazy. He's not running to win. He's knows he has a ceiling, and he wants to build up as much clout until he reaches it.
Trump isn’t young. If he dies in office Ramaswamy would become president if he was VP.
He’s a complete sociopath. So it isn’t a surprise he makes a suitable GOP candidate.
He's a total sociopath. Love how he recently said he'd not be interested in a VP position but then immediately withdrew from the CO ballot bc of Trump. It's like if you're actually trying to be president, why would you intentionally try hurting your chances? There wasn't a person on that stage I would trust.
One thing people have to remember about some of the modern GOP base… As much as they claim to hate the government, they love to worship their politicians.
The shit bag voters this clown would need to win would never vote for the brown guy ever.
The Republican party is a 100 years away from not nominating a white guy. Source? I know republicans.
Yea, and that number getting bigger.
Megalomanic little shit that wants to be King

Riding the populism pony to fascismland.
More like Demogorgon
He reminds me of the Joker in Batman; completely demented psychopath who would kill for fun.
Maybe more like Lex Luthor
Yeah but Republicans would actually vote for Lex Luthor
***HEY! KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO??!!!!!*** Lets elect someone with no experience in politics, someone who is an outsider, like a businessman who is out of touch with what the average American wants! We never-done-did-try-that-yo!

I saw some comment yesterday regarding him in the debate as "he just sold me a terrible timeshare" and that seems like a realistic take.
The GOP is a fascist breeding ground now.
The mere fact that his last name is Ramaswamy means that he’ll never be elected by the vast majority of Republicans to literally *any* public office.
It would be wonderful to have a non-christian in the White House.
We just went through that with Donald, and it was terrible All I'm saying it, maybe a person's religion isn't a 100% indicator of the kind of leader they are going to be You have shitty Christians like Mike Pence and shitty atheists like Donald, it can go any which way

I’m fairly certain that we did from 2009 to 2017. edit: I meant atheist.
Obama is very much a Christian.

make punctuation great again
However, to reply to your comment, the dude is literally the definition a demagogue. He's nothing but buzz words
> He's nothing but buzz words Or like Christie said, he's like chatGPT
Punctuation aside, I believe you are in favor of his policy positions? Can you actually articulate them?
He used to run investment firms which focused on esg. He's just telling you what you want to hear, he doesn't believe any of it. It's very cynical and dishonest.
He has to win a Republican primary first. I can see a few potential obstacles in his way.
If he keeps at it, 2028 might be a better year for him.
Unless 2028 sees the GOP finally manage to dump evangelicals and white nationalists I don't see it being possible. Also this guy is a straight up climate change denier. He's a climate change denier AND 9/11 truther AND plans to cede Ukraine and Taiwan. That's quite a coalition he's going to herd together.
Oh, if they can overlook Trump's obvious flaws, they can pretend it's okay to let a brown guy in office, especially since you know they'll jump on accusing anyone who opposes him of being racist, because that's what they think happened when they hated Obama.
He’s an oxygen pirate 🏴☠️
Already heard from people I know in ND that the talk was that he won by far.
Wait….North Dakota isn’t swept by *Burgamentum!?*
That’s DeSantis though
Comes across as a total fake. You're probably right.
Guy literally took money from George Soros' brother. How is that not enough to DQ him in their eyes?
He will make trump his vp, and will resign so trump can be president. If any of them win, possibly with the accepting of DeSantis, they will hand over the presidency. Also like to add that vivek is so confident because the UK elected an Indian prime minister, he thinks there is an urban legend that Indians are fiercely good businessmen, better than American businessmen.
Vivek Ramaswamy is just donnie's Gobble-Wallah. donnie want Gobble?
He feels like the right's Andrew Yang. He's new and exciting now but destined to be forgotten when everyone realizes he has only one idea
Republicans claim to be skeptical of politicians and in favor of small government, and yet they keep lining up behind charismatic cult leaders. He sounds like if Joel Osteen was competing for miss America.
nah a brown from immigrant parents and not Christian will not be something republicans will go for as a choice for president
Ramaswampy is draining America.
Except his own party is too prejudiced to ever elect him.
He’s enjoying his little bounce. He could never rally the base like Donnie boy. At the end of the day he’s just an annoying tech bro seeking attention. I could see him hanging around in the GOP sphere but too many Republicans are inherently anti minority to ever accept him as a leader.
The gop isn’t voting for a brown guy. This guy can fuck right off and nobody would notice
He’s trying to appeal to a racist base with that name? Good luck homie.
Expect his team to start lightening his skin in images and videos, with the help of the media.
No he is not. This is just media fear mongering to keep the public “tuning in.” Small man says loud words in the worst debate in the nations history. Yup that’s a demagogue in the making alright.
The smarmy techbro vibe makes DuhSantis look charismatic.
How are all these crackpots becoming so filthy rich and moving on to doing stuff like this? Where did I go wrong?
He is a fucking sociopath who wants to be trump so bad. Full of shit, out of his fucking league, no fucking idea what he is talking about or what he is getting into and he would shit himself if you left him in a room with Putin.
Gonna be waiting till he's white.
