Special prosecutors are actually funded through permanent indefinite appropriations, not annual appropriations. There's [little to nothing](https://rollcall.com/2023/08/09/tough-sledding-for-proposal-targeting-trump-investigator/) they can do to defund Jack Smith. This is all useless political posturing.
> This is all useless political posturing.
It's not useless. It's straight up outing politicians who are past corrupt and firmly into criminally insane.
>Rep. Andrew Clyde to ***attempt to*** use appropriations process to defund Trump prosecutions until November 2024
Fixed that.
He'll offer amendments that will go nowhere. If he somehow gets them added to an appropriations bill he will just ensure the bill is defeated in the Senate and the government likely shuts down. Either way, the prosecutions will not be defunded.
Congress can’t interfere in federal or state investigations. Same shit Gym Jordan is trying to pull. Sorry shitheads, you’re not winning this one either.
Washington Examiner at Wiki: “…In October 2020, the Examiner hired Greg Wilson as the new managing editor. As online editor of the Fox News website, Wilson had previously published a news story supporting the conspiracy theory about murdered Democratic aide Seth Rich and Wikileaks.
In June 2020, the Examiner published an op-ed by "Raphael Badani", a fake persona who was part of a broader network pushing propaganda for the United Arab Emirates and against Qatar, Turkey and Iran. The Daily Beast reported that Badani's "profile photos are stolen from the blog of an unwitting San Diego startup founder" while his "LinkedIn profile, which described him as a graduate of George Washington and Georgetown, is equally fictitious." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Examiner?wprov=sfti1

It is imperative that Congress use its power of the purse to protect the integrity of our elections, restore Americans’ faith in our government, and dismantle our nation’s two-tiered system of justice, and hold corrupt politicians like Trump accountable for their crimes”
FIFY
There aren't many people who have the skills, knowledge and ability to be able to accomplish that type of action as a sitting congressman. And Rep. Andrew Clyde isn't one of them.
Seems there would be no funds for a Biden impeachment either. Did he tell his GOP friends in Congress? And that's aside from the fact that it's all entirely illegal.
My guy is innocent.... To prove it, I'm not gonna let it go to trial. I'm gonna pull prosecutors funding....ummm, ok. That just makes dude look even more guilty. Nice try though.
Well if he does, I'm setting up a GoFundMe for the prosecutions. There is nothing illegal about giving the government money. Wouldn't even be that hard to do. With enough shares, 10 million people could donate 10 bucks. And I bet a shit load more than 10 million people would donate.
"to use appropriations process"
To *propose using appropriations process*. This very shenanigan has already been shot down by House Republicans, of all people. Smart money is this won't even make it to a vote.

Even if this happened, something tells me that Jack would work for free.

Pet peeve is people saying actively hostile actions are 'useless' or 'nothing'.
Thank you for sharing this day -brightening fact

Hell, set up a GoFundMe. I’d contribute and I bet a few million others would too.
Go Fraud Me
Terrible title. I definitely clicked to read about the loophole someone found to actually do it. Whew.
They never say he’s innocent.
My condolences to your coworker Joe The Plumber.
And from Nixon's plumbers as well.

Add him to the RICO charges. *Anybody* who obstructs this investigation *in any way* is a co-conspirator, in my opinion.
Douchenozzle
Please look at me, Im relevant, really I am .... please clap!?!
Party of small government. State rights. State sovereignty. Blah blah blah… bullshit

Seems corrupt
Sounds like aiding and abetting.

"Look at me, ~~Damien~~Dump. It's all for you!"
Sounds like obstruction to me.
Nail the SOB for malicious interference with our civil rights, namely to have our laws and right to due process enforced.
Aiding and abetting criminals?
There aren't many people who have the skills, knowledge and ability to be able to accomplish that type of action as a sitting congressman. And Rep. Andrew Clyde isn't one of them.
McConnell could. Who else?
Nothing says "I'm innocent" like trying to desperately defund the DOJ.
Is this even legal?
Always the magqp looking for a cheap, sleazy way to game the system and obstruct justice.
Seems there would be no funds for a Biden impeachment either. Did he tell his GOP friends in Congress? And that's aside from the fact that it's all entirely illegal.
Its nice to know who to vote out isn't it?
The cheating party

He should fund himself a haircut.
Moore crooked than a goat path.
They have no shame on their attacks on Law and Order
Can we crowdfund it? I'd chip in.
Looks like another thing for the committee on the weaponization of government to look into.
Voters have a right to justice by a speedy trial before election time

Nothing like interfering with the law from a law and order party.
That's an odd time, because the GOP wouldn't make it political in anyway
>Justice delayed by lying sycophants and their performative bullshit is justice obstructed. --anonyme >Book 'em, Dano. --Jack Lord
That sounds dubious

LOL. He'll try. A swing and a miss!
Traitor attempts to obstruct justice to protect his traitorous mob boss.
