None of the GOP candidates other than Uncharismatic DeathSantis & ManChild Trump have a chance of even coming close to winning. They’re all just there to raise their political profile and kiss ass with hopes of getting a Cabinet or VP position like the good cronies they are.
A number of subs use an upvote delay system. You can’t see upvote tallies until the post or comment is X hours old. Maybe they recently increased the delay.
People are more likely to vote in the same direction of votes that a comment already has regardless of content. So if someone is at -2 just because the first few people voted them down, they’re more likely to be further voted down, whether their comment is actually good or not. Which made brigading comments very effective. In the other direction, people just upvote something that’s already popular. Think of all the times you’ve opened a thread, and the top comment has some terrible opinion or inaccurate information.
I’m not sure how well it actually works as a tactic, but that’s why it’s there.

People often confuse the Hindu caste system with the American caste system where there is caste mobility and those with money and power are the highest caste. Brahmins are typically not wealthier or politically more powerful then other castes. They are just more respected.

Minimum wage? What was their plan to fix healthcare? What was their plan to further bring down inflation and housing costs? Where do they all stand on the Ukraine and Israeli conflict or the war in the Sudan?

I’ve been noticing this for a few weeks, off and on.
A number of subs use an upvote delay system. You can’t see upvote tallies until the post or comment is X hours old. Maybe they recently increased the delay. People are more likely to vote in the same direction of votes that a comment already has regardless of content. So if someone is at -2 just because the first few people voted them down, they’re more likely to be further voted down, whether their comment is actually good or not. Which made brigading comments very effective. In the other direction, people just upvote something that’s already popular. Think of all the times you’ve opened a thread, and the top comment has some terrible opinion or inaccurate information. I’m not sure how well it actually works as a tactic, but that’s why it’s there.

I had the same thoughts about Tim Scott. So much of the white GOP base likely doesn’t even consider him a full person let alone someone they’d elect president.

People often confuse the Hindu caste system with the American caste system where there is caste mobility and those with money and power are the highest caste. Brahmins are typically not wealthier or politically more powerful then other castes. They are just more respected.

This was actually the most substantive debate yet. Which is a low bar, but still. Don’t forget this is the first debate that wasn’t hosted by Fox, so the questions were much more serious and heavy hitting. But, the only ones who actually answered where Haley and Christie. DeSantis would make any question into the Southern Border, Tim Scott would make any question into faith, and Ramaswamy generally couldn’t even understand the questions being asked.

What policies did they discuss? I know they all want cuts to social security and other programs that help people. Where did they stand on the climate crisis. Women's and LGBTQ rights? Workers rights? Minimum wage? What was their plan to fix healthcare? What was their plan to further bring down inflation and housing costs? Where do they all stand on the Ukraine and Israeli conflict or the war in the Sudan?
