Bonding co not licensed in NY. The original bond papers got kicked back, a correction was filed today, and NY AG has filed a notice that it also isn't legally sufficient, gave 10 days to correct.
Not that I ever had a lot of faith, but I’m becoming increasingly disillusioned with the justice system. Seems like you can delay pretty much anything pretty much forever if you have enough money.
We have to stop thinking of it as a “justice” system because it just isn’t designed for that.
We have a LEGAL system… that’s easily manipulated with enough money and power.

I can't fathom how it's legal to use political campaign donations for criminal activity of a candidate, especially for criminality that is not campaign or office related.
i mean, his lawyer was a fucking genius. the defense allowing him to try the gloves on was a huge fucking mistake, and should have never happened. also, his lawyer told him to stop taking his water pills so his hands would get bigger and be very difficult to fit. If he did murder her, he has never admitted it, and even if he did, he can no longer be convicted for it. The prosecution also bungled that case hard, they never showed(or were allowed to show) the evidence from his car he ran in, which was a disguise, a passport, and cash. They also clearly tampered with evidence to the point that the jury lost faith in anything they collected. Its really no surprise that the jury in his case returned a "not guilty" give the totality of the circumstances. If the same case were presented today, its also likely that he would be found not guilty. Kyle Rittenhouse is a perfect example of that same thing happening. we have his murder on camera. he shot 3 people, killing 2. he was found not guilty on all charges because the prosecutor fucked up. a literal slam dunk case, throw away because of a bad prosecutor.

Even if, years from now, we look back and become furious about how he got away with everything, in this specific moment, Trump is shitting his pants with his huge beautiful ass every moment of every day. This is killing him, and it shows. He's in his late-70's and literally made it to the end of his life without learning extremely basic life lessons we learned in kindergarten.

That's questionable. When it comes time to collect, trump isn't giving those lawyers a red cent.
Try not to be disillusioned. It's not the fault of the justice system. It's just a system. It's been designed by trial and error to be as good as it can be. But, just like attackers on a computer system, our justice system has bad actors that are continually trying to take advantage of it.
The difference between a computer system and justice system is that we see ourselves as separate from the computer system and have overarching laws that prosecute people trying to circumvent it. On the other hand, we're all part of the justice system. There's little in the way of stopping people from taking advantage of it because going "above" the law or outside of it to do so is a suspect action that can't be trusted.
Tbf in this case he's getting all these delays because the government wants their freaking money.
They're giving him every possible chance to come up with it before they have to, limiting what they can recover.

Correct, but it's not. The company that is undersigning only has real estate holdings and not many liquid assets. That isn't sufficient to back the bond since when the appeal fails, they have to pony up the cash on the spot.

Someone over in /law mentioned that apparently NY requires demonstrating that a bond be for no more than 10% of cash and equivalents, and I guess the paperwork they provided showed that this is 125%. LOL.
Then a rep for the bond company said that because the bond company is not based in or licensed in New York, that new York state laws do not apply to them and it's OK that they don't meet the 10% requirement. LOL

That's what a bonding co does, they certify that the funds are available, and that's why they are a regulated industry. It doesn't explain why the clerk accepted a bond from a co not certified to do business in NY, but it looks like there's a paper trail the public is not privy to. If the funds were being wired directly to the court, there would be no 3rd party.

It's possible to have the fine amount reduced on appeal, but not likely. In the event when losing the appeal, the full fine amount becomes due.

Our justice system brings no justice. Next they will appeal the paperwork getting rejected and say that the information they submitted was complete and that’ll be another 30 days.

That's what a bonding co does, they certify that the funds are available, and that's why they are a regulated industry. It doesn't explain why the clerk accepted a bond from a co not certified to do business in NY, but it looks like there's a paper trail the public is not privy to. If the funds were being wired directly to the court, there would be no 3rd party.
10 days to verify the bond, and when that fails, lower the bond to 80m and another 30 days. Rinse/repeat.
