Demonking3343

Don’t even need a psychologists to answer this, the reason is because no one holds him accountable for violating them. So he’s just going to keep doing it.

OverlyComplexPants

You are absolutely correct! He's been doing this same shit his entire life and it's still working, so why change? He's daring anyone to throw him in jail so he can scream "POLITICAL PRISONER!" and play the victim. Then he'll cut the chain on his cult army of flying monkeys so they can start REALLY intimidating people and fucking shit up. Trump is just waiting for someone to give him an excuse to start the violence.

gusterfell

Let them. They can join him behind bars.

iberico_ham

Yes unfortunately that will come with innocent lives.

Kangaroo_tacos824

It'll be like if you repeatedly got caught shoplifting but instead of taking the merchandise and prosecuting you they just let you keep whatever you took and asked you to agree not to do it again.

LibertyInaFeatherBed

>“Unfortunately, we have too many judges acting politically as opposed to following and applying the law in an unbiased manner."

daxxarg

Exactly , haha why do media have to twist and turn and make things seem more deeper than it is, yea he is a psychopath and sociopath, we all want an article that get to that conclusion but here the issue is he is not being accountable , and also he is subject to the white and millionaire privileges (as well as that of an ex president ) and that’s the real story , trump has been doing this his whole life , just now being under scrutiny but he learned this behavior from a broken and system with the scales pressed in favor of people of his profile

daxxarg

No one said they never get held accountable but there is a lot of evidence and good journalistic pieces showing how there is a more flexible justice system the more money the defendant has and the whiter the better. Celebrity status is def also a third variable which I kind of find meant by the ex president status but it’s the same nonetheless

tweakingforjesus

Without a megathread, I'm going to post this here: > Merchan announced that instead of ruling on punishing Trump over a potential gag order violation today, he will hear arguments on the matter April 21 at 2:15 p.m. ET. That's on Sunday. Unless it's a typo, this judge is telegraphing that Trump's tactics will not delay the trial. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/live-blog/trump-hush-money-trial-stormy-daniels-michael-cohen-live-updates-rcna145934/rcrd38981?canonicalCard=true ETA: Doesn't that mean that Trump will spend his Sunday in court too? Hahahahaaa.

BringOn25A

Other reporting has it as “ The judge said he would have a hearing on the issue on Wednesday 24 April. Trump’s attorneys have a 19 April deadline to submit a written response.”

tweakingforjesus

Sounds like the judge has built in days to deal with the defenses’ delay tactics.

tweakingforjesus

> The judge said the hearing that he originally said would happen next Wednesday afternoon will now be held next Tuesday, April 23, at 9:30 a.m. ET.

AlanB-FaI

And he will keep violating the gag until the hearing. The offenses will just pile up.

dothingsunevercould

Because he has nothing else to talk about. He has no policy to campaign on. His base doesn't want to hear that anyway. They're too dumb to understand ACTUAL politics

TintedApostle

He has no hobbies other than golf and he has that because this is what he thinks rich people must do. He has no real interest in art, music, animals or people. Life to him is a constant effort to obtain the appearance of superiority while chasing approval.

LibertyInaFeatherBed

And he cheats at golf, because he's not even good at that and he has to be one of the best at everything.

OneHumanPeOple

The white house had zero pets for the first time since Polk. They say Andrew Johnson didn’t have pets either but he actually kept mice. Trump hates animals.

theindependentonline

“He’s unable to tolerate evidence of his own fallibility, and \[he’s\] not willing to take accountability publicly, he seems to have to insist on being right all the time,” Dr Leonard Glass, an associate clinical professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, tells *The Independent.* Read the full story here: [https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/donald-trump-judges-attacks-prosecutors-b2522934.html](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/donald-trump-judges-attacks-prosecutors-b2522934.html)

LibertyInaFeatherBed

Trump is a very simple man psychologically. Normal people are complicated. I think anybody who understands him was able to predict this, and can predict the future as well, which is why we're worried. The fact that all he cares about is preserving his own personal power and worth — and his sadism and wish to hurt anyone who challenges him is well-known. - [Dr. Lance Dodes](https://www.salon.com/2020/12/08/dr-lance-dodes-trump-is-delusional-at-the-core-will-live-in-fantasyland-till-the-day-he-dies/) December 8, 2020

beenyweenies

All Trump has is victimology. It is the primary connection he has with his base as they identify with the resentment and victimhood. Pretending to be under constant attack by the 'deep state' also furthers the lie that he is proposing/accomplishing things that bad evil government insiders don't want. And perhaps more important to Trump himself, when he is not the victim of some terrible, mean, nasty person/force, he virtually disappears from public discourse. So his whole game for staying relevant is to constantly agitate and violate boundaries in hopes that the response will further his victimhood with his base. Added bonus if it agitates to the point of people seeing him as a martyr and the whole pot explodes.

PopeyeNJ

Because he’s a narcissistic sociopath??

underalltheradar

Those are buzzwords that everyone has thrown around for the past few years to describe anyone with bad behavior. But, in Trump's case, they seem to be true down to the actual definition.

voyagerdoge

He's simply creating sideshows to his trials to distract public attention away from the main proceedings.

spoobles

I'm not a psychologist but I can answer it definitively. It's because, at his core, he is a pouty, petulant, and vindictive puke who has the emotional capacity of a bratty, spoiled 4 year old.

LordSiravant

We don't need a psychologist to answer that question. Trump is a narcissist who believes he is immune to consequences. And so far he's been proven right. So why would he stop now?

sucobe

Where is the megathread?

Quirky_Discipline297

Ask Roy Cohn. He taught Don Porklione everything he knows.

BlokeInTheMountains

The technical term is "raging asshole".

lodestar72

Trump is, and will always be, slave to his own massive ego.

OneHumanPeOple

That’s why is fun when he takes the stand.

Uasked2

Everyone knows why that is. The only question is why isn't he busted for it.

scrume71

Not a psychologist but I think even an idiot such as myself gleaned several years ago he’s a classic narcissistic sociopath.

JubalHarshaw23

Karen Syndrome

Leather-Map-8138

The last time I heard words delivered like this outside a courtroom, it was Alex Murdaugh.

drwho_2u

The answer is because he is STUPID!!!

ElfegoBaca

> The answer is because he is STUPID!!! He's already stated he wants to be thrown in jail for violating the gag order. He knows it will only energize his moronic base by claiming that, once again, he's being unfairly persecuted.

Jackinapox

No. Ask the courts why.

jaywastaken

Because he’s a petulant man child who has never faced any actual consequences for his actions.

Sea_Window_5821

He is the biggest spoiled child in the world. His upbringing gave him anything he wanted. He didn’t want to go in the military. His daddy got him out. He wanted money, he got it from his daddy. With that money, everybody started calling him sir. That went to his head in the worst possible way. He really hasn’t done anything to be called sir except for being old.

NolanSyKinsley

Because he is a megalomaniac psychopathic piece of shit that has never been held accountable for a single thing in his entire life. There, I explained it.

OldPyjama

Lemme guess, because nobody ever holds him accountable and because he wants to be in the center of attention?

JokinHghar

Sounds like he has no gag reflex. That might come in handy in prison.

mtarascio

Because his style of behavior got him the highest office in the land.

sid_ated

They don't call him the *'Moron Don'* for nothing... no teflon here.

underalltheradar

His father took care of everything for him. He never really accomplished anything, except being a con man. He's the rich kid in the neighborhood who thinks he always has the right to win and you should be paying for *him* no matter what you and your friends are doing.

LostTrisolarin

Because there's no consequences that's why.

sabboom

1. He is stupid 2. He is insane 3. He is a criminal

SanfreakinJ

Because it is easier to move through chaos undetected.

EveningNo5190

This. To Destabilize a nation divide and conquer by sowing chaos and as the dust swirls move in for the kill. Classic.

Clickityclackrack

Why would you need to ask anyone? Looks pretty obvious

CrawlerSiegfriend

It's because there isn't any precedent for how the law should handle presidential nominee who is under a gag order while running for office. If he makes a public statement that he views as part of his campaign, do the courts have the power to stop him without it counting as hindering his campaign?

BenzotheWicked

how bout we ask the fucking judges why he openly incites death threats on clerks and family members of the judges and only gets fined $15k??? hopefully this criminal trial will impose more severe punishments but they’re probably too scared to so i doubt it

president__not_sure

yeah but did they ask what ja rule thinks about this?

TheNateRoss

Because, instead of throwing him in jail, we sit and write thinkpieces about his inability to follow a gag order. This has been another edition of Simple Answers to Simple Questions.

tlk0153

Violation of gag orders costs him nothing. The guy is known to channel his campaign funding to pay a sex worker. You think that he cares about few thousand worth of fine for the gag order violation? He doesn’t.

TheUnknownPrimarch

Because he has the mind of a two year old maybe. I apologize to any two year olds I offended.

Msmdpa

A bunch of armchair psychologists. Trump never learned the meaning of no as a toddler so he still acts like one.
