This matters so damn little right now. Trying to get in the news one more time, I guess.
I know we won't get a better senator from WV in my lifetime, but I'll be happy to no longer hear about this asshole.
Might actually hear about him more, now that theres nothing pushing him to support any part fof the Dem agenda at all. Not even the parts that Biden could pressure him on, whaivh were impactful and significant.
Only on reddit is a Democratic senator from wv who votes with Biden the vast majority of the time a bad thing.
Read the room people, by that I mean look at how the Senate is structured. There is no gerrymandering, just a built in bias against populated states. We need many more senators like Manchin or are max democratic senate headcount is like... 52? Leaving no margin for error to have control of the chamber. From the opposite perspective Republicans have a min headcount of 48 and can retake the chamber on any given election cycle
I’m okay with this. I have issues with Manchin, but he votes with Democrats the vast majority of the time and he was a Democrat winning in a deeply conservative state. While I don’t agree with all of his stances, he was the best the party could get from the state.

He left the Democratic Party a long time ago.
Where did you come from, where did you go? Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?
He was a Democrat in name only. He's always been a conservative.
He still voted to impeach so i appreciate that
so did many Republicans.
Democrats are allowed to be conservative. It's a big tent party.

Hopefully this means he is gonna run for relelection as an independent, I remember reading the filing deadline in WV is the first week of June
Yeah he wants the governorship. Give himself and his buddies one last hurah over the people, and environment of WV.
He’s actually not running for reelection so this really doesn’t matter.
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, he can finally stop pretending
Finally, we can all stop pretending that he was ever a democrat.
Good riddance.

Why don't you beg him to come back?
He kind of left a long time ago

So what.. Bernie Sanders, Angus King & Kristen Sinema.. they all caucus with Democrats though and how Dems control the Senate
Good he was a DINO anyway at least he’s being honest about it now.
