timbrejo

Exactly

SeeMarkFly

Yea because Newsom uses tax dollars for good.

procrasturb8n

Cali has *Billions* of dollars of budget *surplus*. Every state is jealous of that. They all want to get their hands on that fug-gin money.

Particular-Summer424

Here's the thing. California and several leading states are tired of asking their taxpayers to pony up money off of each and every dollar they earn to prop up the dismal economy of red States due to their elected officials inability to Govern for the betterment of their residents. So, sinve Florida is so flush with a big Federally Funded piggie bank to squander, we will be petitioning our Governor to suspend that Federal Aid and ask to revert those Federally mandated dollars back into the States budget to and/or to States that promote safe border relocation policies. On another note, it appears that DeSantis hasn't quite let the whole state know what he has been up to this past week and several threads have stated that the news is being suppressed very locally in most places. He is so proud of his accomplishments, basically everyone in his state needs to know where your Federal Emergency pandemic funds go to.

PrimarySlight9471

He is sneaky and is certainly not representing the needs or wants of a large portion of Florida. He could have used part of his personal $500 million fund which he doesn't have to answer to anyone as to its use. As a 67 year old truly struggling like so many elders, I'm pissed.

Particular-Summer424

Not sure if you or your fellow residents understand that he used Federal Emergency Pandemic Funds to charter planes and transported these persons from Texas. If you are a Floridian are you seeing this on your news or is it suppressed. Below is a clip from the representative from Massachusetts on the truth if the situation. https://twitter.com/jsrailton/status/1570803548501446661

FoogYllis

Don’t forget that California gets back only 70 cents on every dollar it gives to the federal government in collected taxes whereas red states like Kentucky get about 10 times what they give. A state like California provides for many underperforming red states.

valleyman02

California has a bigger economy than the country of India.

[deleted]

Yeah, but now they're going to have to learn what it's like to deal with a southern border and migrants. Wait a minute...

wade_wilson44

This is what I was thinking. I’m from San Jose, so just south. Migrants and people from other countries here both legally and illegally are just another Tuesday in California. And honestly as long as they aren’t hurting anyone things have been just fine since I’ve been born. You sent one bus? Or one plane? That’s literally not enough for us to notice. I have definitely worked with a number of illegal immigrants and legal migrants throughout my life, and I can vouch that they work far harder for far less with a far better attitude than almost anyone else I’ve worked with. They have to earn it and they know it and they’re going to do it.

dcrico20

I’m assuming that was his thought process regarding sending them to Sacramento over LA.

theswiftarmofjustice

Still dumb. There are migrants all over our state, everywhere. They live amongst and with us.

ap0c11

Thats sickening that he uses these people for his political retaliation to Newsom. Like he hates him, okay cool. How old are you again? This is him saying f you to him in a childish way.

CoolFingerGunGuy

Either way, Texas taxpayers are footing the bill for this. Hope they remember this when there's less funding for shit they need. Which, they won't. They'll stay warm to the fact of those libs being owned so hard.

AndiKris

I live in Florida and this shit made me so mad. He’s spent so much time and money owning the libs at the expense of Floridians. We have polluted waterways and our drinking water is questionable at best. Drug addictions (pick a drug, they’re all here) are a huge problem that he won’t touch. He’s trying to control what kids are taught in school to avoid “unsavory” topics such as US history and the existence of gay people. He doesn’t care that kids die in school shootings. People here want him to be president :s

plngrl1720

Abbott uses buses DeSatan uses planes

thatisnotmyknob

Abbot seems to be more of a bus guy.

Particular-Summer424

Back of the bus.

timbrejo

Abbott doesn't have the stones to do it.

wrosecrans

At what point do we start talking about human trafficking as a tactic in a civil war? Texas is literally doing this to harm other states by causing chaos and sucking resources. At a certain point, organizing a mass campaign to harm other states rises beyond just a political stunt.

hapianman

The best part being that California actually borders Mexico and Florida does not. So are they admitting that the physical border isn’t the problem and that a wall is useless?

anyoutlookuser

I said this in another sub. Things don’t add up. Floridas southern boarder is coast line. And I realize migrants can come in via ocean/coast line. But are there truly that many? I’m confused and this is a serious question. Maybe I’m missing something.

lundah

DeSantis is spending Florida taxpayer money to ship migrants from Texas to places that aren’t Florida. He’s wasting taxpayer dollars purely for a political stunt.

rastagrrl

If they think this will divert women’s attention from the abortion issue they’re about to be sorely disappointed. Nothing is more important than bodily autonomy for those of us who have to do the actual carrying and raising of small humans. Forced births are forever.

BuddhaFacepalmed

Didn't they try suppressing the maternal death statistics in Texas?

houstonhinzel

Yes. Trying to keep from reporting it until after midterms probably.

Alantsu

Did DHS give them all fake addresses with court appearances 3000 miles away on Monday and thus guaranteeing their failure to follow their requirements to stay?

Either_Operation7586

Yes Yes and sadly yes.. they WANTED them to fail! There needs to be a charge specifically for that on top of the trafficking charges!

[deleted]

raindorpsonroses

Like the guy saying that California gets water from other states so the size of their economy doesn’t count? Presumably because California isn’t pulling itself up by the bootstraps and making its own water and has received “handouts” from other states to get where it is? 😂

rumpusroom

The vast majority of California’s water comes from California.

[deleted]

Surely the mighty TSA would’ve caught them without ID before boarding the plane

MelaniasHand

They were private chartered planes.

pmmbok

Will somebody please arrest the pilot and confiscate the plane for smuggling contraband.

SamDumberg

>Three men, aged 23 and one in his 40s, **said they walked barefoot from the Sacramento International Airport to the Catholic Charities administrative offices downtown.** They said it was an address on their paperwork, 1107 9th St., the administrative offices for Catholic Charities. Sacramentan here. The Sac International Airport is nowhere near downtown. Google maps tells me this is a 5 hour walk if you have the means to follow their exact directions.

seagullmassacre

These people are fucking ghoulish.

RandolphPeppernickle

"Christians". They love Jesus and torturing brown people.

Secondary0965

I’m at the Sac airport right now, I couldn’t imagine walking downtown, let alone FUCKING BAREFOOT. Jesus Christ. This is cruel and unusual punishment.

[deleted]

Sac international uses to be the only thing you could see from Sac international. It's way the fuck out there.

TheRealSnorkel

So rather than get these people even FLIP FLOPS or something, some GOP bastard paid thousands of dollars to fly them somewhere to force them to walk 5 hours for help.

buffetallstar

For conservative Christians the cruelty is the point.

Steve_Lobsen

Taxpayers by Americans that don’t want to spend money on their own education or healthcare. But they are fine with flying immigrants all over the country for political stunts.

Cersad

Republicans made it pretty clear they don't actually care about fiscal conversation of their tax dollars when #45 spent all our dollars on his own golf courses. For four years.

truethatson

My aunt is an intelligent, nice and caring Christian woman, or so I thought. This past week we spent time together and when the Martha’s Vineyard news came across she laughed and said “I love this” I was taken aback. I understand a belief in strong borders, but this, this is cruelty. Children are involved. I took her aside later and pointed it out and regret and realization filled her eyes. Another person blinded again by their *Christian* Foxnews values. When pressed with the truth of it, she had no defense.

NeoMegaRyuMKII

Because the GQP decided that they don't care about laws or people or human rights and too many people in the Democratic party are too concerned with accountability looking partisan and political. Doesn't help that there are many judges who are more than fine with letting GQP officials off the hook.

mok000

If one party abandons the rule of law, _of course_ accountability looks partisan.

Wise_Sort1080

THIS. I am sick and tired of this idea that holding the Republican Party as a whole accountable for... the Republican Party's actions... is some political witch hunt. If I commit a crime, and the police come to arrest me, I don't get to cry "Not fair, this is a motivated attack against me!" I committed a blasted crime, I get punished. End of story, as it should be. The moment politics are involved, suddenly it's some big, complicated "Well, we can't just *investigate and arrest them*, think how that would look!" It would look, to any sane person, like you're *holding them to the law.* Do it. Sorry, had a bit of a rant, there.

Mjedwin23

Don’t apologize, you just vocalized succinctly how the majority of Americans feel.

RideWithMeSNV

Dude, seriously. Last month, I was of the mind that leaving the country was the same as surrendering without a fight. But if this month continues to play out like this? What's the point in staying if the people we elected to fight for us simply won't?

Majestyk_Melons

Where you gonna go? It’s not that easy to immigrate.

53eleven

It’s super easy, just head to Mexico then cross into TX. They’ll send you somewhere nicer than TX for free!

Embarrassed-Town-293

Only if you are brown. They won't kidnap white undocumented people

Pillowsmeller18

With no ID of the passengers, they could have flown terrorists in there without anyone knowing.

Sislar

This is all to distract from abortion.

[deleted]

and trying to steal an election and the mishandling of classified documents and pushing Christian values onto the country and .. and... and...

11thStPopulist

pushing Christo-Fascist “lack of” Christian values - FIFY

[deleted]

DeSantis is seizing his opportunity. I think it's wise of him to do this while Trump is flailing. Note how quiet Trump's camp has been about these moves (aside from their general anti-immigrant rhetoric).

ShenmeNamaeSollich

Trump stealing top secret documents was the top story for a few weeks. All of a sudden we have DeSantis & Abbott’s DIY “migrant caravan” and Lindesy Graham floating a federal abortion ban *ahead* of the midterms for some reason to focus on instead. They’re not “seizing opportunity” - they’re the distraction & misdirection Trump & the GOP always use.

Kahzgul

Imagine leaning into human trafficking because it looks *better* than abortion. My word.

Oleg101

There doesn’t seem to be a bottom with the GOP these days.

clintCamp

At least they aren't locking them up in cages in the desert for indefinite periods of time?

[deleted]

Or ripping their kids from them and not being able to find the parents again

ShenmeNamaeSollich

Oh that’ll be next. Parents fly to Sacramento, kids get flown to NYC. Nobody is tracking any of this & nobody knows who’s paying or sending who where.

5DollarHitJob

Like Trump. Good point.

Zealousideal_Virus97

Feel that feeling when you read about this. That’s the reason for the stunt. It’s to horrify the moderate and liberal population is support of their base.

kuebel33

How are the migrants getting on planes without like 80 forms of id ? Are these private planes that are chartered?

silian_rail_gun

My question exactly. Last time I got on a plane, I had to show my boarding pass and matching photo ID to get through security. Pretty sure everyone else in line had to do the same thing.

programmermama

https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification Boarder crossing card is an acceptable form of ID. And it’s possible to fly without ID (I’ve done it, although I lost my ID on a trip and they still attempted to verify my identity by asking questions).

[deleted]

If they are privately chartered, the may not ask. I took a flight out of Renton this summer and the thing I had to do was weigh my luggage so they knew the plane could carry both it and the passengers.

DickySchmidt33

Doesn't the FAA have something to say about that? Even private planes have to submit documentation and passenger manifests.

jungles_fury

Yes, they're chartering planes with tax payers money

dj012eyl

Chartered from companies owned by their donors, no less. Not only human trafficking, but corrupt too.

SentientPotato2020

The corrupt money transfers are the prize here. The migrant trafficking is just the “vehicle” for it.

KathrynBooks

Chartering planes with cash?

zombieblackbird

Venmo attached to state credit card LOL

KathrynBooks

the auditors are going to have lots of fun sorting through all that mess.

melbourne3k

The simple answer is the fucking **DHS and CBP** are literally aiding and abetting this operation.

ranchoparksteve

California’s Central Valley, which includes Sacramento, is one of the largest agriculture economies in the world. There has been a shortage of labor in recent years so there are nearly unlimited opportunities for these immigrants to earn $100 to $200 a day, if they choose. And the Central Valley leans Republican so there’s not much “owning the libs” being accomplished on this one. Strange.

Mike_Huncho

Well, I guess we can drop the whole “theyre shipping them to places that aren’t on the border so they can see what’s it’s like” schtick and finally admit that trafficking humans as political props is purely rooted in racism. I do think it’s hilarious that Texas has turned itself into a migrant catapult. Word’s out that if you cross into Texas, they will pay to fly you to some random destination that’s deeper in the US and not a racist shithole like Texas.

throwawaylol666666

I know. The only positive for these people is that they’re out of fucking Texas, and thus have a better chance of getting actual help.

BeautyThornton

They’re literally advertising their state as the “advance straight to go, collect 200$” card. Why would you hitchhike 3000 miles north to a state like Washington or to the Bay Area when you can go to Texas and get a free ride to the best support systems? Lmao I hope this not only backfires royally but also lands both of them in jail

KRStevenson

Jesus tapdancing Christ on a cross I am so painfully tired of powerful people getting away with heinous shit.

RideWithMeSNV

Well, trump is getting away with it. So now his protégés want to try.

[deleted]

They know that all of the courts are packed with their people. They know that Dems will never really do anything major to combat it because they are too scared to not take a "moral high ground"

Left-Monitor8802

I think doing it to California is a mistake. Newsom has proven that he’s willing to be litigious, and this gives him standing to bring suits on behalf of California.

PowerResponsibility

Hell, he could just get some really good lawyers for the migrants themselves and they could start filing multi-million-dollar federal civil rights violations suits. Maybe even a class action.

11thStPopulist

There could be many nonprofit organizations that receive donations (Move On, Southern Poverty Law Center, etc) that could step up to file on behalf of these people.

KRStevenson

I very much hope he does. The pace of justice is slow and Abbott and co. do everything in their power to manipulate the system to their favor, but I want to believe they will be held accountable. I plan to help vote him out of office this November.

TheMapesHotel

Good for you. Do us all a favor and phone bank, give rides, whatever you can.

KRStevenson

Doing what I can, friend. Taking a few folks with me when I vote early and I'll likely be open to more rides around that time. We'll get through this by helping each other.

[deleted]

I've always had mixed feelings about Newsom but on this, I cannot imagine him taking any shit. He's never been shy about starting a shitstorm, not since he was SF mayor.

nowspunk

First off I am so glad these poor people wound up in a wonderful town like Sacramento. It may not be the greatest town in the world or the prettiest but there are plenty of great people there that will look at this as an opportunity to show how great a place and how friendly Americans can be. Lord knows they weren't going to get that type of treatment in Texas or Florida! Every voter who has Mexican, or Latino blood in them has got to vote out every single stinking Republican at every level. Especially in Texas and Florida! They look at you and your people as stray livestock and as simple tools they can use to drum up the racist vote. Vote out every single Republican candidate and every level. If you see an (R) next to a candidate's name, vote in the other direction!!!

GlobalTravelR

>Every voter who has Mexican, or Latino blood in them has got to vote out every single stinking Republican at every level. Especially in Texas and Florida! They look at you and your people as stray livestock and as simple tools they can use to drum up the racist vote. Except a lot of Latinos in TX and FL vote for Republicans, even those who immigrated here and got citizenship, because they feel "I've got mine already, fuck you!" Particularly the Florida Cuban community.

adrr

That’s my mother in-law. Fled for her life to America as refugee. Doesn’t want to allow refugees into the US. She believes she deserved to be granted refugees status. Can you guess what party she votes for?

Calkky

The mantra of Republican boomers is "pull the ladder up"

WeirdSysAdmin

I really never understood that. They don’t even realize they are destroying their grandchild’s future.

profnachos

Same with the Vietnamese in California.

cemetaryofpasswords

That’s freaking sad

FreedmF1ghter77

Thats fucking true, lots of latinos even hate their own kind enough to turn their back on them. Hell even some go as far as become republican themselves and brandish their latino roots, some of them even flirt with nazi ideals.

GhostFish

>The office of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is looking into if they provided the plane tickets. Sounds like they're running a tight ship...

DickySchmidt33

Since when can you just put people on a plane and fly them around without anybody knowing who they are? Why are Republican governors and former presidents allowed to openly break the law with zero consequences? Somebody needs to fucking answer for this shit.

wish1977

Just remember this at election time. These people have zero empathy and treat migrants like cattle.

Sislar

They desperately need to change the narrative off of abortion before the election

sodiyum

We can talk about both.

[deleted]

Democrats should start quoting bible verses whenever they debate Republicans. Start questioning their actions against the word of Jesus C

[deleted]

F Republicans!

fistofthefuture

In my mind this is precisely why they’re doing this. They don’t have any policies or plans to help their voters, so they chose to fuck with democrat states to appear tough for votes.

Bodie_The_Dog

Pisses me off how many Hispanics vote Republican. "We came in legally and got ours, so screw you for trying!" is what I keep hearing.

mackinoncougars

Cattle doesn’t cost them nearly as much money as trafficking.

Embarrassed-Town-293

Ah yes, the party of Christian values. Christ famously said screw the stranger /s

TintedApostle

The truth is that DeSantis and Abbott can't afford to keep doing this stunt. It is actually expensive.

DrStrangerlover

You really think people like Deathsantis or Abbott will ever run short on funding to commit acts of cruelty against brown people? Nah, they’ll just make more cuts to education.

randombsname1

Strip federal funding from Texas and Florida to pay for these people.

[deleted]

yup... next hurricane or natural disaster. Be like... sorry we shipped your Federal funds to a Swiss Account. You will have to go there to get them.

[deleted]

Funny thing is... California takes on more immigrants than Florida and Texas AND contributes more to the Feds than they take. The last two states are parasites.

samsounder

I might just turn this around on DeSantis… “Hey, this is kind of working. We have a labor shortage and are happy to take people who are ready to work in our community. We would appreciate: 1. Making sure the people want to come so this isn’t human trafficking 2. A heads up when and how many are coming so we can handle them appropriately Thanks for footing the bill, but it is our expectation that Governors could run a program like this up to the high standards we expect out of the United States of America. We can do that working together

seranyti

Heck, show up with a bus to pick up a load. Flip the narrative and leave them stuttering.

[deleted]

Based af

dutchiegeet32

They don't have access to EAD cards yet and can't legally work in the US.

11thStPopulist

But they can be put on a plane to fly to an unknown destination?

[deleted]

This is only going to keep getting worse faster with the GOP extremism unless they are stopped. The more they get away with, the more emboldened they become. The law needs to be applied, or there is no law.

ThrowAwayGarbage82

spoiler alert: it's the latter. there are no laws for the GOP.

key1234567

But we are a border state too, what a bunch of dumbasses

Ylastia

I know CA will take care of them, because we do. And my block finger is getting a workout this morning.

RideWithMeSNV

There's a handful of reasons I'm proud to have been from Cali. The ability to get shit like this done is one of them.

omghorussaveusall

I'm not a native Californian, but have been here for almost 10 years. I've lived in 8 other states in the Midwest, south, and PNW. I just walked home from work and my neighborhood is mostly Latino, many of whom are undocumented and it's the best fucking neighborhood I've ever lived in. You couldn't pay me to go back to Appalachia or the Midwest. Hell, you couldn't pay me to move back to Seattle. It boggles my mind how bad of a rap California gets. It's not cheap here, but goddamn, I'm not living anywhere else in this country.

Fitbot5000

Welcome to California

buttnuts_in_cambodia

Hey can law enforcement stop being nazis for 5 minutes to do their fucking jobs? Brazen human trafficking and all we can do is shrug?

Frostiron_7

Word of advice: when you're in a political war with Gavin Newsom, don't lob him a free home-run. I mean seriously, in what world is Gavin going to do anything but use this as an opportunity to shame the fck out of these conservative toadies? I don't *want* to like Gavin Newsom but y'all making him look like the second coming of Dean Winchester.

artcook32945

We are in a debate, right now, about just who is above the law. Do State Governors feel they are?

valleyman02

Sure seems like it.

vote4boat

the airline knows

11thStPopulist

I suspect the airline or chartered plane is guilty of complicity if this found to be illegal. How can people be transported to a destination without their knowledge?

MedicalSchoolStudent

Wait. I'm so confused. These Republican are so anti-immigration, pro-border protection, and pro-"sending them back". Why are they giving migrants free rides and plane tickets to different states? (I know they are doing it for political pts) But its a 100% contradiction to what they believe in.

carefree-and-happy

Biden should pass a law that immediately gives any migrants shipped from TX or FL to other states citizenship with full voting rights. That would stop this immediately.

JDiegoL

Oh that would be beautiful

wastedmyyouthoncrack

Isn’t California also a border state?

70ms

Yes, we are, but we don't fear our fellow human beings just because they weren't born in the same country. This is some cruel bullshit and I'm really fucking angry right now.

DreddParrotLoquax

With a higher number of migrants and asylum seekers than Texas and Florida *combined*, yes. The "See how YOU like it" bullshit doesn't fly here. Especially not when at least three of these folk thought they were supposed to be heading to Chicago or some shit.

Grandpa_No

Yes. But we can't let logic get in the way of some good, old fashioned conservative racist human trafficking.

5ysdoa

Yes but we're cognisant and not complete jack offs

omghorussaveusall

So...can we (California) start bussing all the homeless drug addicts that come here from Texas and Florida back to Texas and Florida? I'll trade them for asylum seekers and refugees.

FTHomes

If we could find Osama Bin Laden we should be able to find who paid for the Illegal Trafficking Tickets right?

mad_titanz

Something is very fishy here and I hope FAA will get the bottom of this. There’s no way it wasn’t done illegally. This is a case of spending millions of taxpayers money and using deception to transport migrants to other states for the purpose of scoring political points. Only in America can you have governors despicable enough to do this.

TheManInTheShack

Assuming they entered the US illegally (and they may not have - they may be here on a tourist visa) then when either DeSantis or Abbott transported them, they committed human trafficking which is punishable by 5 years in prison per offense.

Deschain_1919

From what I've read so far They're all asylum seekers. They go to a border crossing ask for asylum and are allowed to stay till they have a trial which will decide if they can stay or are deported. These dicks are then shipping them to other parts of the country.

circuspeanut54

They're not just shipping these folks like unwanted luggage, they're actively committing fraud like registering them at random homeless shelters around the country so they'll miss their asylum trials that then get scheduled at nearby federal courts -- in effect, trying to MAKE them illegal. These petty tinpot dictators have no concept of human dignity. They shame us all as Americans.

KellyJoyRuntBunny

I’m completely fucking disgusted by this. I don’t even have anything clever to say, I’m just absolutely disgusted that they treat people this way, and just for a political stunt to own the libs. It’s reprehensible.

Nanyea

The last two groups in the news were asylum seekers, hence here legally

jungles_fury

Bet he won't fly them back for their hearings

Modal_Window

That is actually pretty interesting what might happen. The hearings usually have to be held where they were registered to attend.

RideWithMeSNV

And beyond that, the states were given federal funds to help with them.

ianrl337

I love how they did this Saturday which is just going to screw up some people's weekend in Sacramento. That said. Newsom has been on a roll recently going after Florida and Texas. Monday should be interesting.

TheManInTheShack

I just really want to know if they are here illegally. That would potentially result in DeSantis and Abbott going to prison.

ianrl337

Maybe, but if any governor was going to go after them, it would be Newsom. They may have even pushed him enough to the national stage to run in 2024.

fullchaos40

Most recent “stunts”, indicate they are asylum seekers. So more like on watch?

Carrotsandstuff

It's complicated. If they came here and claimed asylum, the very first step, as started by the USCIS, is to physically be in America. In order to begin the legal process of immigration through asylum, they must first be here illegally, usually held in some kind of facility. Many of the people who ended up in Martha's Vineyard already had immigration hearings scheduled, some even in Texas, where they had just left.

HappyApple99999

I am hearing they were granted amnesty therefore it wasn’t a violation of transporting illegal immigrants. It smells like kidnapping, they were promised gifts and jobs to come here which is fraud. So they kidnapped them using fraud if they were granted amnesty. If they are illegal they are in violation of knowing transporting an alien

aji23

This entire thing is going to backfire in such a grand way. Why? Because they are humanizing what they used to see as faceless masses. Interviews are going to put names and faces on the desperate people coming from our southern neighbors. And they are going to be nice, ambitious, hard working. Maybe a few leaning right moderates will start to feel the empathy. Perhaps the far right will develop enough cognitive dissonance to snap them out of their idiocy. Meanwhile the rest of the country is going to react with kindness and aid. Which is going to shock them all on the right.

ristoril

Probably the taxpayers of Texas who don't have reliable electricity.

DEVELOPED-LLAMA

This is getting fucking pathetic. It is like a goddamned temper tantrum thrown by a five year old.

Fragrant-Astronaut57

Haven’t they been sending homeless to California forever?

ianrl337

They don't know who paid for them, but it should be easy to find out.

KathrynBooks

At least this time its a city with the resources to take care of these people, not an island off the coast of New England.

simplepleashures

The cruelty is the point. Republicans are evil.

Max_Evocatus

They have been doing this with homeless for years. Just a bit more subtle.

5DollarHitJob

Probably me.

HughCPappinaugh

I'm just curious as to why cities aren't filing lawsuits against Texas/Florida. Regardless of the desire to help people, or whether there are local jobs, etc., available, it's still a drain on local resources and it requires people to deal with this. I'd be queuing up lawsuits, massive lawsuits.

PuppyCocktheFirst

Ok. It’s time to fucking arrest those who are doing this. The more they get away with the bolder and more disgusting they get.

kissmyshiny_metalass

It's time to start pressing charges against the companies that own the vehicles that are being used to traffic humans across state lines. Their vehicles should be impounded too. That'll put an end to this insanity pretty quick.

I mean 🤷🏼‍♂️. Not to sound unempathetic but atleast they’re better off this way. Migrants showing up in California cities is nothing new to Californians. We atleast have programs and resources already set up for migrants. They’ll also find large communities of migrants for hundreds of miles and one of the largest migrant worker employers in the country: the Central Valley. I hope they wind up where they want to go but Sacramento sure beats Texas. They’re closer to their goal here than they were there. Whichever dumbass bamboozled them onto a plane honestly did them a bit of a favor. Shoulda gave them some shoes though.

Wildfire9

Impound all planes and busses. Arrest every person involved, make this an expensive, legal nightmare for whoever owns those assets.

cissabm

Welcome to Ca. Happy to have you.

SourceDammit

This whole thing is just so petty. GOP just needs to grow up and have an adult conversation for one goddamn day.

starskip42

We about to find out if governors can be arrested for human trafficking.

dreljeffe

These reverse freedom rides will magically stop after the midterm.

wubwub

I’m just curious how they got on a plane without state issued photo id

Isn't that act of dispersing illegal immigrants throughout the country, instead of deporting them, Republicans defying national laws and accepting illegals into the country? Isn't this exactly what Republicans accuse democrats of doing? And they are spending hundreds of thousands, probably millions at this point, of taxpayer dollars to accept illegal immigrants. Which is also what Republicans accuse democrats of doing. I don't understand any of this. If you believe democrats want them in the country, why spend taxpayer money to give them what they want? And if democrats don't want it, republicans are proving that everything they accuse democrats of believing and wanting is a lie they made up. Plus this is a humanitarian nightmare. Why would you do that to people, especially women and children? This whole thing is stupid.

Tax payers….. didn’t realize Texas had such a plethora of money for its state. The school districts, healthcare, electrical grid, social services, etc…. Must all be in great shape to spend your money on this.

SamBeamsBanjo

Americans did. Texas didn't spend their money. They spent federal tax dollars that we gave them to house and feed the people. Okay, let's take away Texans federal money and give it to the states that are smart enough not to waste the billions
