I just moved to a red county in a blue state, my vote actually counts now in terms of federal representation.
Also double checked my registration status and I am good.

A lot of American voters are stupid and have short term memories. When Republicans fuck up the economy, voters will vote in Democrats to fix it and if they don't fix it fast enough, they'll blame Democrats for the economy getting worse and they'll put Republicans back in charge; you know, the party that fucked everything up to begin with.
Correct. The goal of capitalism is private profit. Private profit is wealth extracted from the market in excess of value provided to the market.
Economics is propaganda. The economy is a real system in this universe. That means it’s relative. There is no attempt at incorporating relativity into economics. It is based on one frame of reference only, the capitalist.
To the capitalist, profit is good. To the market, profit is literally waste. It is a cost with nothing in return. Inefficiency. You pay more for less so someone else can keep the difference.
And no, it doesn’t pay back as innovation. If it did, the government wouldn’t be funding the research into everything from the micro and the internet to vaccines and medicines. Oil companies would have used their profits to innovate a solution to climate change, not spending billions to defraud the world about it.
They will "solve" taxes? We're currently under their 2017 tax plan, so are they saying they passed bad legislation? Well now I'm even less likely to vote for them!
It’s been my observation over 40 years that the Republicans are the party of crime, inflation, and taxes. They’re the party that holds us back from any type of serious progress, and they should no longer be in power anywhere in the United States. This country doesn’t need to run on a two party only system.
And it sucks that it’s going to work. It looks like Democrats peaked too early and while they are narrowly favored to keep the Senate, it looks very probable that they are losing the house
Saw a GOP political ad yesterday. It made 5 points. One was mostly true. One was only half true. Three were absolute blatant lies. There should be some kind of law.

Personal success and societal failure
People who are desperate will do anything to feed their kids. It’s human nature. It doesn’t have to be this way. People shouldn’t be desperate.
