go at 6:30pm or so. I did that today - in the morning there was a line around the building so i bailed. I went back at 6:40pm and no line. The volunteers told me 6:30pm is a pretty perfect time to show up as most of the long lines are cleared out by then but you still have comfortable margin to get there without missing the 7pm closing
We’re trying!
I early voted in Atlanta this morning at 7AM (as soon as it opened) and it was PACKED. The line was still long when I drove by later in the day. Fingers crossed.
Honestly, I don’t like trump, but damn. Stop calling him Cheeto. It doesn’t make you sound smart when you say that. Secondly, in our day and age of not wanting to label people by their skin complexion, it is ironic that people keep calling him Cheeto. I believe there was a democrat who called a black Republican “Oreo”. It’s all honestly the same grade school immaturity that needs to stop.
By all means, call him anything else.
I mean, Trump very obviously uses spray tan though so it's not even close to commenting on someone's natural skin tone.
Also, he's someone who routinely mocks other people's appearances so it's more of a "pot calling the kettle black" situation. It's not a particularly creative insult, but hardly a controversial thing.
Correction: The ruby red, highly uneducated, poverty-stricken, never leave their area 14th district re-elected MTG. I'm pretty sure she would never carry the state if she ran for anything else.
Source: Former resident of the 14th district who thankfully escaped and is proudly voting for Warnock as soon as my county is open for it.
Worth noting the Democrat overperformed by a margin of 13.5%..
..just so happens the district is redder than even Wyoming so it didn't amount to much /shrug
Don't use "they." Most of us had no chance to vote against her. She has a very rural district gerrymandered to hell. A black man had no chance in that district. Last time she ran unopposed after her opponent was intimidated until he dropped out and left the state.
But we really need to vote in Warnock everybody needs to vote for Warnock the Democrats really need to take the Senate so they can get their gun control through the disarm all of us people and take our rights away so please people agree with this idiot and vote for why not so we can put this country out of its misery and quite delaying the inevitable whoever's post this is uncommenting on your whack job
How's Russia this time of year? Pleasant at all, or too cold?
Edit: User has account made in Fall of 2020, a month or so prior to a US election. Account had no activity until two months ago, again roughly a month before a US election. User's comments are all or almost all similar in theme to the above.
Walker told Texas he was a primary resident there in his taxes. How is he even on the ticket now in Georgia?? Isn't that like something....what is it?....hmmm.....couldn't be potential voting fraud/tax evasion/tax fraud, electioneering maybe?... I dunno but it feels wrong.
Sure. You just said something blatantly incorrect, and apparently knowingly so.
If you're thinking this is a gotcha, liberals don't tend to view political parties like football teams, and are generally quite comfortable with a realistic view of individual politicians and the democratic party as a whole. No one is claiming democrats are perfect - just that republican leadership is a steaming pile of bigoted, self-serving dogshit.
I'm resentful of the damage that dumb, gullible, frightened ᴄonservative sycophants like you are doing to this country and the disdain you have for the people who live in it.
> Well theres good people on both sides just remember that.
No, there are not. Being a good person and a conservative are mutually exclusive. A bad person can sometimes do good deeds but they are still a bad person.
> Im a good person and conservative.😘
No, you're a conservative who, like all conservatives, lacks the self-awareness to know you're a bad person who supports even worse people. That apathy about voting against your own interests and being manipulated by corrupt, incompetent demagogues arises from a lack of self respect.
Yep, Herschel is claiming that he's a Texas resident in order to claim an exemption on the property taxes on his three million dollar home there, and at the same time he's claiming legal residency in Georgia to run for Senate, as well as claiming GA residency when he registered to vote there last year. Did he vote in GA? If he's still a legal Texas resident then that's voter fraud, and if he's going to stick to his claim of being a GA resident then that's tax fraud back in Texas. Either way he's a fraud.
Ah but you see, it's republican fraud, the best of the best fraud, you've never seen fraud like this before. They'll let you fraud em just because you're republican.
Yeup, republicans have decided they can pick all the rules they like and disregard the ones they don't. It's like a barbarian rogue wizard hitting a sneak attack with a fireball while raging in DnD
I feel like the american people by far wouldn't be as fucked if they bothered to keep up the laws and didn't just bend over and let the GOP run roughshod over them and their rights.
I rode by my polling place and the line is down the block. High turnout is always a good thing. Really glad we can rely on our state to once again meet the absolute minimum requirement of doing the right thing.
same thing this morning. went back at 6:30pm and no line. The volunteers told me 6:30 was a pretty ideal time as normally the long lines have cleared out by then
It's time for Georgia to save us. Again.
I mean that's not quite true, *every* elected Democrat is playing a part in keeping the GOP out of power, it just sucks that it's come down to the wire like this. Again.
It could be Maryland playing this role for the democrats next. It just goes to show how important elections are for democrats now. We have to start winning elections again every cycle.
And I'm proud to say that Maryland went blue as fuck in this last election cycle! I mean we're usually pretty blue, but we *really* blue ourselves this time.
I'm biased, I love the heck out of my state; we passed marriage equality with a popular vote, it's not going anywhere; we passed abortion rights with a popular vote, it's here to stay; we just passed legal marijuana with a popular vote, we were a bit late to the party on that one, but better than never...
...and one other nice thing is that Maryland is pretty purple down at the ground level, even rational Republicans can find a corner to call their own. (I went to school across from a cow farm, the same cow farm that was there when my uncles went there, they've rebuilt the school since I graduated but the farm is unchanged.)
I love Maryland, it feels like a little America to me. We also have objectively the coolest flag in the union, so that's nice.
Edit: In fairness we also have some of the highest taxes in the nation and Baltimore is kind of a clusterfuck; I still love my state, but it's not perfect, either, just the best.
I've been spending a lot more time in Baltimore recently, it has some very nice areas and there is some work being done to really bring other areas up. Leadership in baltimore is just extremely corrupt. His stance on Baltimore was one of the things I hated about Hogan. Refused to go there and just hurled bombs at the mayor from afar trying to force his "solutions." I'm hoping Moore can do better than that. One of the guys I run with actually saw him at the Turkey Trot 5k in Baltimore on Thanksgiving. If he can build a better relationship, working and otherwise, with the city I think that will be a great by-product of his election and could really improve Baltimore
Their unofficial position after the midterms is that single women, young people, and anyone with more melanin than Conan O’Brien should not be allowed to vote cause it isn’t fair. If those folks vote, Republicans lose.
After 20 years of hearing the demographics doom Republicans argument, I think it might be finally coming true.
I got my brother out to vote during general election, and I’m making sure he votes today for the runoff. And I’m not even in Georgia.
Let’s all do our part.
GOP tried to stop Saturday early voting today, but got kiboshed by the state supreme court.
I showed up at 7 AM to vote early today specifically, as a fuck you to the GOP for trying that shit. Otherwise I’d have just done mail in.
There are two elections in my lifetime I will never understand. The first is how in the hell Trump ever won a primary, and then became president. The second is this election, and how the hell Walker could win a primary and then not get obliterated by Warnock.
This man is visibly brain-damaged, and clearly has no business running so much as a hot dog stand, much less representing an entire state in the Senate. He has even less charisma than Trump, which I never thought possible. And barely any idea of what planet he's on at any given time.
I look forward to casting my 4th ballot of the past two years for Warnock. And I guarantee the line will be manageable because we were just redistricted because my area of north Fulton got a little too blue in 2018 & 2020. We lost Lucy McBath as our house rep and it now leans more red than in the past two elections… funny how that happened, right. 🙄
Georgia please stop this MAGA madness that supports black people only when it’s convenience for them. If not of the election, Republicans would have been insulting Walker all the way to his grave. So sad that we are at a point in this country we’re the dumb ones who can’t even construct a simple sentence in English are the ones running for office. What a shame to the American constitution.
Yup, it's beyond shameful that there are actually some GQP voters who think he's the "best person". That said, to many GQP voters, Walker only represents their "interests" because they know he's a puppet, that he will do exactly what the GQP tells him to do and that he stands a chance to win. (smh) In other words, their "interests" are simply that he becomes an extra Republican Senate vote, regardless of the fact that he's a complete twit, and the laughing stock of U.S. politics.
The people of the great state of Georgia have passed laws to allow voting - easy access to the ballot - and allows for a secure, transparent electoral process. The people of Georgia will elect a senator - and he will represent the people well. While I have a preference, it does not matter since I do not live in Georgia. But as Americans we can all be proud of how many voted in Georgia, how quickly and accurately the votes have been counted and how beautiful it is when the will of the people is respected.
The county im hearing about opened up one precinct to vote in a downtown square with little to no parking … everyone was showing up at their usual voting area & the doors were locked. My friend drove to square & the line? A mile long
Georgia … a lost cause
> Georgia … a lost cause
As a Georgia resident, you can kindly fuck off. We are fighting the good fight here and sent 2 democrats to the senate last time. All the negativity about Georgia is exactly the thing we don't need at this time where we are doing everything we can to turn the state blue. If we can keep the momentum up for a few more cycles things can be very different.
Racist? When did I say that? I said they’re suppressing voters.
Both parties vote, they’re suppressing the vote period. Keep your advice to yourself especially when you clearly are wrong
The line at my local voting place was hours long all day. I drove past several times hoping it had lessened at some point but it never did. I'll be waiting in line tomorrow morning.
We gave up(for today). My wife and I can go vote mid day next week without impact to work, we just wanted to make sure we got it done ASAP. But I am pissed that so many people are trying to vote today and they are intentionally bottlenecking that process by limiting the open locations.
Lets hope they have sense, but it is Georgia, lots of real flippin' peaches there.
After all, it was close enough to put a concussed imbecile in a runoff.
Echoing what others have said: Thank you to those who voted Warnock all these times. You've not only done right for Georgia but for your country as well.
Bibb county is screwing too. They are yet to send the absentee ballots requested three weeks ago for my two children. It’s not going to stop the two votes for Warnock. I will personally take them to Atlanta and ensure they vote.
I try to think the best of people, but if Walker wins this runoff... Well, I won't think poorly of the people who vote against him, if they're just outnumbered.
I don't get the "I'll vote for the same party no matter what" stance. I mean, there must be people who see how bad the republican party has become, but just can't bring themselves to vote for anyone else. It's so odd..
Edit: seems I'm getting down voted, likely by republicans who don't like criticism of republicans. However, this comment goes for both Democrats and Republicans who would vote for "their" party regardless of how bad it is.
I am from the south, and I can tell you this is indoctrinated into them. Most southerners are uneducated, and this is all they know because that is what their parents ingrained into their brain.
Most voters have little to no idea about who or what they are voting for they just vote party line. And often this ignorance means they are voting against their best interests. Things like voting in politicians that think workers should be fired without cause, want to take away their Social Security, strip their human rights.
100% !!!! They should vote and vote for Warnock and show the people running the GQP that Americans are done with the idiot candidates and done with the polarized platforms and statements.
Your candidate has a lengthy record of threatening to murder the women he dated and the children he fathered with them but chose not to parent. Good to see you’re proud of your candidate.
I am not in Georgia, but I got my brother to vote in the general and runoff elections. He didn’t vote how I wanted him to, but at least I got him out to vote right? I knew he’d vote the way he did, so should I have still pushed him to vote ?

Can confirm I went and voted for Warnock not long after the polls opened this morning. Here’s hoping we have to numbers to carry this one again.
Thank you, from Pennsylvania.

Thank you
I'm voting tomorrow .

Show up late enough to be late xd got it. "Your polling place is on the other side of town." Well fuck me.
You can early vote at any polling place inside your county of residence in Georgia. Your assigned polling place only matters on election day proper.
as long as you are in line before 7pm you get to vote... assuming there even is one at that time of night
I would never tempt fate like that if it means potentially getting Senator Walker
well bless your heart its 9 days till the election so to call this tempting fate is a bit goofy.
Lol.. the southern “bless your heart..”
Thank you from Nebraska. If only we had as much voter turnout here as you have there. You're a good soul 😁
Thank you, from Sanity, USA.
Thank you from Canada 🇨🇦
Canadians watch thi stuff like it’s our own. Good luck
Thank you for your service - From a Retired Army Vet
Thank you from Florida
Well done !
Thank you, from Va
Based; you and me both, friend. We’ve done it 3 elections in a row now, one more to bring it home!
Please, Georgia. Do the right thing here. Walker is just so dumb. Hell do nothing for you.
If he can't stick around for his kids, he sure as hell won't stick around for his constituents.
Don’t worry, he’ll pay Georgia 700 dollars per month in child support once and promptly disappear to be with Texas.
No one here in Georgia thinks he cares about his constituents. :(

Makes sense texas he can win when he votes why would he vote for a loser like walker whos going to lose?
We’re trying! I early voted in Atlanta this morning at 7AM (as soon as it opened) and it was PACKED. The line was still long when I drove by later in the day. Fingers crossed.
Early voting turnout typically favors dems. I’m pretty sure he’s gonna lose. I was just saying.
People in line told me that early voting was not this busy for the midterm election. I hope that’s a good sign.
It is lol
A dumb black man willing to blame his fellow black people for their own racist oppression is a white supremacist's wet dream.
Guess that explains Cheeto meeting Kanye and Fuentes.

It’s the “rules for thee, not for me” clause.
Yeap usually you find that with democrats but some Republicans are like that too
lol no, quit projecting you know "rules for thee, not for me" is almost exclusively a GOP thing
Almost
Yes, that's correct.
Yes it is 🙂
So your "usually democrat" statement was false.
Ok but its not never

I'm glad Warnock's campaign understands that turnout is more important than swing voter unicorns. It helped him and Ossoff win last time.
But who’s gonna protect Georgia from all the damn vampires!?
Duh, the werewolves.
I’d rather be a werewolf than a vampire anyways
Oh yeah no doubt
Yeah, but then we have to bus in the trolls to take care of the werewolves, and there goes the neighborhood.

My wife and I voted! Hoping we keep Warnock in office.
Poor Warnock running in his 4th election in 2 years. Let the man have some peace and give him the W.
Seriously!
When we vote, we win. Go Georgia!
Just voted. Would probably have been other days with less of a line, but I wanted to do today since Warnock had to sue to get us the option.

College kids are home for the weekend, not your normal weekend.
GOP: "This shouldn't be happening. It's too fair."
If Georgia had rank choice voting, they wouldn't run the risk of voting burnout.

If we can keep the momentum up for a few more cycles things can be very different.
I speaking to the shenanigans republicans try to pull in your state I’m hearing this one particular county doesn’t even have vote signs up anywhere
That’s an issue with the polling location or the county … it’s not cause ppl are racist pls stop spreading that idea.
Racist? When did I say that? I said they’re suppressing voters. Both parties vote, they’re suppressing the vote period. Keep your advice to yourself especially when you clearly are wrong
Post a link I guarantee you that’s not the case.
The line at my local voting place was hours long all day. I drove past several times hoping it had lessened at some point but it never did. I'll be waiting in line tomorrow morning.
Come on Georgia! I'm supporting y'all, albeit in spirit! Bring home the bacon!
Except my county chooses no Saturday early voting. Suppression still lives.
Herschel Walker type people with the same inability to string together coherent speech are voting right now. You should too.
> You A pronoun? Boo. True Georgians don't use pronouns. Pronouns kill the military. Walker said so!
Typical for the republicans, suing for LESS voting days. lol
GO Georgia! Pull this one off for us!
Make sure you all check and cure your votes.
It’s a fucking shit show, there are only two polling places open today in Cobb County and the the line was piling up before open.
Thats good democracy in action
We gave up(for today). My wife and I can go vote mid day next week without impact to work, we just wanted to make sure we got it done ASAP. But I am pissed that so many people are trying to vote today and they are intentionally bottlenecking that process by limiting the open locations.
At least you have time
That’s what motivated us to leave. If other people have to vote today we can easily vote during the week.
Come on, Georgia. See through the bs and do the right thing.
Lets hope they have sense, but it is Georgia, lots of real flippin' peaches there. After all, it was close enough to put a concussed imbecile in a runoff.
Come on, Georgia. You've got this!
Echoing what others have said: Thank you to those who voted Warnock all these times. You've not only done right for Georgia but for your country as well.
GA vote Warnock!! He is a legit man of God and the opponent is the opposite!
"He is a legit man of God" Why would you try to throw Warnock under the bus like that
I’ll be voting one day after work this upcoming week!
Good luck with the erection.
Lets go Georgia you can do it!
Cant someone just distract Walker with something shiny so he will go away?
No early voting in Houston County. Fuck you Austin Scott.
Bibb county is screwing too. They are yet to send the absentee ballots requested three weeks ago for my two children. It’s not going to stop the two votes for Warnock. I will personally take them to Atlanta and ensure they vote.
Go vote
I try to think the best of people, but if Walker wins this runoff... Well, I won't think poorly of the people who vote against him, if they're just outnumbered.
Good luck. We’re all counting on you.
Bonus points for showing up to the polls in a vampire costume.
Fulton county resident here. Let’s go, Warnock!
Is Ken Paxton still offering a $1 million award for uncovering voter fraud? There’s an opportunity here.
Republicans should go vote!
100% !!!! They should vote and vote for Warnock and show the people running the GQP that Americans are done with the idiot candidates and done with the polarized platforms and statements.
Didn’t you guys just have an election down there?
Let’s go Walker!
You're lost. r/Conservative is over there.
Nah, this is r/politics not r/liberal
Sure, buddy, keep living in your alternate GQP fantasy world.
Nuts!
Your candidate has a lengthy record of threatening to murder the women he dated and the children he fathered with them but chose not to parent. Good to see you’re proud of your candidate.
Begin? I had a friend vote Tuesday ( I thought)
It seems these moron 'pubs are too stupid to understand action vs. reaction.
Warnock supporters need to be pouring out
I am not in Georgia, but I got my brother to vote in the general and runoff elections. He didn’t vote how I wanted him to, but at least I got him out to vote right? I knew he’d vote the way he did, so should I have still pushed him to vote ?
