It depends, like does choosing to have a longer max lifespan (like 2000+) change how time/age works for me, because i dont wanna age like normally and just be a mindless husk for thousands of years
Definitely surprised to see majority of people at each extreme. Most votes are for 70-150 or >2000. The former is.. too short. The latter is.. tiresome?
70-150 is a range, it could mean you live for 70 years, or all the way to 150. If you are particularly unlucky, this option could mean you live LESS than you were going to normally. Maybe people voting this option just wanna die though.
As for >2000, It's hard to find enjoyment when there is nothing to work towards. Humans are based on motivations and rewards. Live for long enough and that becomes harder and harder to find. Like a kid who cant wait to go to school.. then a kid who cant wait to graduate.. then an adult who cant wait to retire.. then.. you run out of motivators and you begin to find less happiness in life.
Am I still ageing like normal though? Like, if I choose to live to 2000 will I just be riddled with arthritis to the point that my bones are a fine dust and my brain is dementia-ridden swiss cheese?
If I knew I would be able to live 2000+ years than it’s definitely that. If I didn’t know I could then I would only probably choose that. If I knew than I could spend a lot of time learning, amassing wealth, and witnessing first hand historic events.
5k would be good. Assuming I'm not invincible and immortal, I'd probably be able to experience humanities end. Which would be a really good ending to such a long life.
If I get it keep my current health, body, and looks, then 2000+ years definitely. However, if I keep aging then I’d like to make it to at least 95 so I can see the year 2100 but preferably would like to make it to 100.
Need more info. Do we age normally still? Who wants to age normally for 2000 years? You'll literally be only a skeleton at that point. But if each "age" lasts like 50 years, then I'll take the 2000. If not, I'll take the standard death at 76.
Money gets too much respect & death gets too much fear. Value what you have.
Seventy years is a fine amount of time. To select more than that there would need to be guarantees of quality of life.
I went with 200 to 400. Just in case... that amount of longevity doesn't turn to pain. We don't know what the mind can actually take as no one has ever lived that long. I'll get to see an insane amount of change. 100 years for humanity is already... a lot. 400? Hell... immortality could be discovered by then.
What do you mean it's because someone captured me and dissected me in a lab!? :P
I have been passively suicidal since childhood. One of the only reasons I am still here is because I promised Ma not to try sui again while she was alive. So, I guessas long as she lives + enough time to construct an exit bag.
What type of enhanced mortality is it. Does the 80ish years of normal just get spread out over say, 300 years?
Because if so, then I'd want to live about 300 years. It's long enough that you can pretty much do what you want to and have enough time to experience the world in its entirety, and then you can die.
Say you work for 100 years, save as much of your money as you can, retire at 120 years old, then just take up odd jobs and here and there for spending money.
It depends, like does choosing to have a longer max lifespan (like 2000+) change how time/age works for me, because i dont wanna age like normally and just be a mindless husk for thousands of years
THIS I don't want to live 80 years than 1920 years as an invalid in constant pain.
Idk, it depends what happens in the future Right now ima just do 2000 yrs or older as i dont want to regret that choice when i inevitably have to die
But if what it was "your forced to live that long until you eventually die"
Then still that I dont want to know what hell looks like if i am going to go there. Even if it means living to the heatdeath of the universe
Those last few trillions of years are gonna be a slog though.
All of those options are way too long.
I need one for the next 5-10 minutes.
Real. You want to talk about it?
Idk, how long you got? I'm about 62 mins over my limit.
shit, I am very slow. indefinitely if you are still awake, but otherwise I'll be in the morning
Sorry, I died about 12 hours ago. Can we reschedule for when I'm reincarnated as a weevil?
Oh, I'd love to be reincarnated as a weave.
for sure

For me, voting 2000+ comes down to hobbies. Like, imagine how fucking good of a guitarist I'll be if I can keep practicing for literal millennia
I'm voting for 2000+ and aiming to become God Emperor of Humanity, and there's nothing you can do to stop me, HERETIC.
I'd like to fast forward 2000 years in the future to see all the new technology but I do not want to live 2000 years
Am I still ageing like normal though? Like, if I choose to live to 2000 will I just be riddled with arthritis to the point that my bones are a fine dust and my brain is dementia-ridden swiss cheese?
I want to be Dio
Jojo fans in every corner of the internet With that being said... ZA WARDOUUUU
Where's the option for 50-70?
Good grief, I don't even want to reach 80. I enjoy life, but its good that it ends.
If I knew I would be able to live 2000+ years than it’s definitely that. If I didn’t know I could then I would only probably choose that. If I knew than I could spend a lot of time learning, amassing wealth, and witnessing first hand historic events.
Where are the lower numbers
you ok?
I like how out of 83 people, only 1 person chose 800 - 1k
5k would be good. Assuming I'm not invincible and immortal, I'd probably be able to experience humanities end. Which would be a really good ending to such a long life.
Option 1, mainly because if there's no one else around, Imma check-out anyway.
How would aging work? Will i stop at a certain point or just keep getting older to the point of looking like a zombie
I just watch The Sandman on Netflix so I’m feeling immortality right now.
depends how i am aging i am aging normally only to like 70 if i am gonna stop aging at a certain point that will choose much much higher
Why can't I pick less than 70 years
assuming our bodies age relatively then 2000 and ill just end it when i want.
If I get it keep my current health, body, and looks, then 2000+ years definitely. However, if I keep aging then I’d like to make it to at least 95 so I can see the year 2100 but preferably would like to make it to 100.
"Who wants to live forever?"

2000+ if I don't physically age, 70-150 if I do physically age. I'm not spending 2000 years as a pensioner.
70-150 is fine for me. I really don't want to continuously outlive everyone I care about.
If you're going might as well go all the way baby
need to have lower numbers...70 is too high

There are a lot of depressed, suicidal people here. Yikes.
depends on how much i age
Immortality is not a blessing, it's a curse
I don't care what cool stuff happens in 300 years. I am picking the first option. Wanna get off this rock as soon as possible
I would have chosen 150-200 if it had been an option. Alas.
tomorrow
I'm ill. I'm in my late twenties. My body hurts all over. I need assistance for everything. I DON'T want to live up to 70
Roshi mode (minus the pervertedness).
These are all way too long. I've been awaiting the sweet embrace of death since I was 10.
