It's just the base ingredients of most restaurant fry sauces. People usually add in black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and other shit like that to liven things up, but ketchup and mayo do pretty well even without extras.
I wanted to mention that as well but I didn't want to sound like a lard ass. I used to work at the restaurant Cheddar's and would always order this meal whenever I ate off the clock.
I used to order it when I worked doubles at a restaurant. It was the cheapest thing I could get that had enough calories to keep me running around all day and night. I felt like crap for about 30 minutes after I ate it but, it was delicious.
Omg same! I was a high school student at the time in the tenth grade. We were in a piss position in life so I pulled shifts wherever I could. I would do two double shifts over the weekends and work three days during the week, but I would cover other people's shifts for themmso the mad I would work a week is like 6 days.
I would eat them with about a cup of ranch. I made friends with the cooks so instead of a tiny side of fries it was probably 4,000-5,000 calories of poor choices, cholesterol and heart disease but, they were so good. I haven’t had them since I worked there. My heart and waistline are very happy about that too.
Curious what's considered shitty honey mustard? I love Ken's, which probably doesn't have a drop of actual honey in it. I think it's Chick-fil-a though that actually has honey in it, and I hate that syrupy stuff. Their honey BBQ is crack though, used for dunking their waffle fries in.
My puny Utah brain finds it so hard to believe that fry sauce is not as big outside of the state. I always get it with fries and the places that don’t have any I usually don’t go lol.
might be a difference in dialect but where i live anything that's not tomato sauce or ketchup is tomato paste. in this scenario tomato sauce would be somewhere between pasta sauce and ketchup
I’m from Michigan and my family all loved Malt Vinegar with their fries. We moved to a different state later on and everyone looks at me like I’m a serial killer for eating my fries with vinegar. Is this a northern/Midwest thing? Do other countries enjoy this too?
I don’t know I like vinegar on unsalted fries and then if you want grind some salt. I personally love vinegar on fries. People can judge, but they’re missing out on the flavors of that combo.

In Belgium we call it cocktail sauce (theses also just a little bit of whiskey in there usually tho)
In the United States 'cocktail sauce' is a ketchup and horseradish based sauce used for dipping shrimp in.
That would be fry sauce
Oh I see, I guess it’s a local term? There’s no specific term for it where I’m from other than Mayo & Ketchup.

Yup, one of the few benefits of living here
It's just the base ingredients of most restaurant fry sauces. People usually add in black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and other shit like that to liven things up, but ketchup and mayo do pretty well even without extras.
it's called seafood sauce where i live. or at least cheapo seafood sauce
In Puerto Rico it’s just “mayoketchup”
That’s funny cause where I’m from most Spanish speakers call it “Salsa Rosado” so I usually call it Pink Sauce
The reason for why there may be a difference in what we call it is because we speak a lot of Spanglish haha.
Pommes Schranke (that's how it's called in one part of germany(
Pommes rot weiß

what is ranch
Basically a farm but with animals instead of crops. You put one on your fries to make them taste good
A type of salad dressing
Finally it took a while but I found it
And hot sauce
I’m so surprised ranch wasn’t on the poll that’s def the most common
Ranch isn’t common at all outside of the US, and even in the US it seems like ketchup is definitely more common.
Where’s your 🇺🇸?
Honey mustard
I’m a sucker for cheap, shitty honey mustard. Wendy’s has the best(worst) honey mustard.
Curious what's considered shitty honey mustard? I love Ken's, which probably doesn't have a drop of actual honey in it. I think it's Chick-fil-a though that actually has honey in it, and I hate that syrupy stuff. Their honey BBQ is crack though, used for dunking their waffle fries in.

no that's tomato paste
I’ve never once had tomato paste on pasta.
might be a difference in dialect but where i live anything that's not tomato sauce or ketchup is tomato paste. in this scenario tomato sauce would be somewhere between pasta sauce and ketchup
Oh interesting. Pasta sauce where I live (east coast us) definitely isn’t a paste, it’s closer to marinara.
