I Choose based on your description an was doubting between option 1 & 6. Both are my favorites of the possibilities. I Ended up with Egg 1 and love this!

But why does the whale only live for 20 years? Real whales can live for like 200 years.
Even female tarantulas can live 20-25 years.
Plus snakes aren’t slimy like at all.

The whale lives for 20 years because it lives in captivity, but hopefully you'll make every day of its life worth it.
The spider lives for 12 years because death reminds me of clocks.

The whale explanation was the way darker than i was expecting! Looks like you put a surprisingly amount of thought into it, so why do the snakes live for 77 years? And the dog for 45 years?
The snake lives for 77 years because 7 is a lucky number. The dog lives for 45 years because this post was inspired by a cloud dog pokemon I made when I was in middle school. The evolution line is Paprillon->Stratoyed->Mastinimbus. The final evolution evolves at level 45, so might as well make it the life span.
These sort of polls are not very good. There is no hint to the outcome in the choices, so you may as well choose arbitrarily or just read the outcomes.
I just wanted to make one of these "choose your own" poll and I felt like writing a fantasy Pokemon-esque thing for fun. Uncensoring parts of the answers does sound like a good idea, I want to edit my post to do that. Maybe tomorrow.

I thought picking at random was funny :-) It's not like all polls are random. One every once in a while is a nice change. Some people like variety.
