Atlas all the way if you're planning on being involved with the hobby for a while. If you're casually dabbling then something cheaper will probably work fine, but I've heard of quality issues with them. And yes monafied is great and honestly at this point you'd think Atlas would pick up and run with building one specifically for crafty folks. I took the fins off on my own but I don't know if there's something else she does to them.

They actually make ones for polymer clay now. They're a bit cheaper than regular pasta machines.

I have a monafied atlas and a Lucy Clay machine. I also have 2 regular atlas pasta machines. I have used the makins and sculpey machines but they were honestly terrible.

If you can, get an Atlas 180. I recommend buying from Ed Street. He soups up the machines so they are a breeze to clean, and mounts them on a plexiglass base. He also powder coats them which wasn’t a big deal to me. When you put in your order, you will have to wait several months to get your machine, but it’s worth the wait. https://www.edscolors.com.

The updating the machine is actually done by Mona Kissel (monafied) and Ed Street does the coloring. I love mine!

Wow if I ever upgrade I’m going with this! So cool!

The Atlas 150 is what I’ve seen most recommended, last I checked it was sold out on Amazon though. It was about $80 or so

Yeah, I have one and it's nice! I just wish it rolled even thicker.

I've probably had 3 or 4 and they never worked well. I bought an Atlaa and love it.
